Distant, good food, no atmosphere

I had a lovely meal at this Greek restaurant. One minor complaint: the waiter asked if I wanted water with the wine. It turned out I was given a single glass of sparkling water, which I had to pay €4 for at checkout. That's no way to treat guests, especially since you could apparently also get (paid) tap water.

Our favorite Greek restaurant. We have been coming to the restaurant regularly for eighteen years and will continue to do so!

Excellent restaurant and good service.

We had dinner at this excellent restaurant last night. The food was delicious and the service was exceptionally friendly. We loved the wonderful atmosphere; it felt like a living room. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back soon. 👍

Delicious food, pricey dishes, and the plates felt a bit sparse. A piece of meat and a small ball of rice. Fries in a small basket on the table. Unfortunately, there were children next to us making noise from an iPad. I could tell they were staff children. We realized in the car that it bothered us all, otherwise I would have said something. Still, I won't be returning because of the disappointing, sparse, and expensive dishes.

Had a fantastic evening, celebrating my husband's birthday. The food was delicious and it was a wonderful atmosphere! The staff were fantastic!

Outstanding Greek food. My favorite restaurant in Zoetermeer. The staff is kind and attentive.

Restaurant has been there for a long time. Haven't been there in years. Food is good, but portions are getting smaller. My 12 year old son had 3 small tacos for 20 euros. He could easily eat that and was still hungry afterwards. An adult really can't fill his stomach with this and finds the price for this dish out of proportion. No more vegetables with the dishes. Not even a piece of tomato or cucumber. Must be the new trend. Dishes were otherwise well prepared and the service was good.

This Greek has been in the Dorpsstraat for a long time but we didn't know it was so good. Delicious and affordable food, good service so worth repeating.

It was very cozy. Inside it was nicely decorated the atmosphere was good.

What a great evening we had. We were twelve people and we lacked nothing. Delicious selection of starters that we enjoyed through shared dining, where the non-fish eater got an extra dish without having to ask for it. Very tasty main courses; the specialty of beef tenderloin topped with scampi is really recommended. The service is super friendly and cozy. We are and will remain team Parthenon!

It's been a while since we've been here. The owner's daughter is a real asset to the business and a very lovely woman. We were very impressed; we had a fantastic meal, a starter platter, and some delicious meat. We'll definitely be back soon. It's a lovely, clean place, super welcoming, and has a cozy atmosphere.

We received a side dish that we had not ordered. Gave it back, eventually credited to the receipt... And also a small amount on your plate... All in all, a shame because I always liked coming here.

The food tasted delicious. Not much, unlike other Greek restaurants. No salad. It was very warm inside and the tables were tight for 6 people, so we sat really close together. You got your food on a long plate, which was right in front of your neighbor and hers next to her neighbor. Those on the corner sat with one buttock over the couch. It was fun for once, but we won't be back.

Unexpectedly made a reservation and had dinner here. Friendly welcome, there is a pleasant atmosphere and the business itself looks attractive and neat. Once at the table we were welcomed with small pieces of toast, tomato tapenade and an ouzo for each. Plenty of choice on the menu, fairly reasonable prices, but I think the price of a coke is a lot, €4 for a standard bottle. With a dish for 2 people I expect a platter with everything on it and 2 separate plates, but here we were both served a plate with our food on it. Fries were served in a small basket. The food was hot, tasty and the meat was well cooked. The Greek-style Tiramisu takes some getting used to if you are used to the Italian ones and they are therefore not comparable at all. Unfortunately, the restaurant is deteriorating. Our family has been coming here for years. The presentation on the plates, the plates themselves, the menu, white wine that is not chilled,... I don't know if we will go back. Maybe just out of tradition. Friendly staff but not so personal anymore.

Cozy atmosphere and nice staff. Have been here before, usually great food. This time the meat had a bland taste, and the souflaki was not tender. Unfortunately a small bowl of coleslaw instead. a real Greek salad, small bowl of mushroom sauce and 1 basket of fries for 4 people. The caramel sauce with the dessert was also not very tasty. Were 4 people. €250 spent, so quite expensive. Shame. But this time it was disappointing...

The food was delicious. It's been a while since I was here. They now also have some more "modern dishes," like Greek bao buns, Greek sushi, and delicious feta balls in a chutney sauce. The atmosphere was also really cozy, and the staff were attentive to your needs and whether you'd like something to drink or order.

Parthenon is definitely recommended. The food is delicious and always fresh, with authentic Greek flavors. The staff always does their best to welcome you hospitably and create a pleasant atmosphere. For those who like good Greek food and excellent service, this is the place to be!

The food tasted delicious, but the portions are very small if you order the chef's specialty (approximately €30 per main course). We received a mini bowl of lettuce and a mini bowl of rice and a mini portion of fries to share. We had to order a Greek salad and an extra portion of rice. I'm not used to eating at a Greek restaurant..nb if we pick up we get more. Nevertheless, the food was delicious

Good food, but when it's busy the service can sometimes be chaotic.

It takes some getting used to, different plates, slightly different food. Sofa upholstery piece. But they do know how to prepare a piece (or pieces) of meat there! Modernize the decor a bit and it will last for another ten years, because it is a great Greek restaurant

We ate here today September 13th. Had a nice spot next to the window on the Dorpsstraat side. Food was really delicious. And the staff was really nice too. The cat was also a source of attention

Parthenon is my Greek in Zoetermeer. So I'm biased ;) Went again tonight. I forget the Greek name, but the surf & turf was great again.

Food was fine, but down the street at Poseidon you can enjoy good food and have friendly staff!

The food and drinks were excellent and everything was well organised. The service was also excellent, friendly people. Unfortunately, the price was disappointing, 320 euros for 4 people excluding tip, I think it is quite expensive, even if you take an extra drink. So you don't do this every week (or every month). Unfortunately, it will probably be the case everywhere that prices in the catering industry have risen considerably...

After 25 years, we regularly went there as a family. Today we said goodbye. The food is very tasty but is becoming increasingly expensive and meager. Sharing a small bowl of fries/rice/salad with 4 people (the same amount you get with 2 people), having to pay the full price if you request extra. The owner is not customer friendly at all and came across as threatening to us because we had reported a complaint. Extremely proud and big mouth!! Very antisocial!! Very sorry…

The restaurant is in the middle of old town of Zooetermeer and it's surounded by sweet typical duch houses that also host some businesses like shops and restaurants. We order typical mix platter and we got greeted by ouzo on the house which is great start to the evening. Mix platter containing of 5 different grilled meats was very well seasoned and tasty, served with rice (unfortunately not done in greek way) and tzatziki on side but it lacked typical greck salad and side dishes. We also got fries which were served in separately but put in basket on a table (lacking plate). The presentation could be better hence 4 stars for food. The place is present with greck accents all around of the restaurant. It's quite big place and was quite full on Saturday night which is always a good sign of a good food, however if I was to go for typical greck food I would look for another restaurant. Service was also very nice and attentive. House red wine also great option to go in wines.

Due to the attitude of the owner, I said goodbye to this once oh-so-good restaurant after more than 30 years! We are now going to another Greek where we are treated kindly and the food is great!

As always it was a nice atmosphere, but the food seems to be becoming less and less what is served. This is a shame because the price is still the same or perhaps even more expensive. Unfortunately, this also makes the presentation look very poor. I like coming here with my parents. Now I was with a friend and it took a very long time for the food to arrive. The experience was less pleasant in many ways.

Ordered food yesterday February 18th. Ordered Santorini with Greek salad. Food, especially meat, was not warm enough. Giros dry and tough. Chicken fillet looked like the sole of a shoe. I'm not used to this from this Greek ☹️. Half thrown away. Well, I don't know if there will be a next time.

Yesterday with Valentine's Day. Remains a top restaurant. Friendly hospitality and they regularly come by to ask if everything is to your liking. You rarely see that in other restaurants.

On December 16, 2023, we had dinner with 19 family members on the occasion of my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. It was very pleasant and we received a warm welcome. Even though the restaurant was packed, the staff worked very hard to serve everyone the right a la cart dishes on time. Compliments to the staff and the kitchen brigade.

It was very busy and hot. The food was tasty, but was not served at the same time. We had to wait a very long time for a dessert that secretly expected a little more.

Live music too loud. No communication possible with tefal partner.

Very calm appearance even though they were busy. Lovely people and delicious food and you didn't even have to ask for more fries, for example, they already offered it themselves, so we look beyond just bringing food, but see what else is needed and have a chat

We normally eat at Delphi but decided to try something new...Took long before someone came and took our order. Other came a hour after us and we're finished eating while our food did not arrive as yet. When our food came order was wrong, after receiving our food had to wait much atleast 10 - 15 min on side orders. After that service we just wanted to leave. The food was tasting good but was little. Sorry but don't think I will be returning.

Me and my son had dinner there. I have a meal for the elderly for €14.50. Which was very little, a little rice which was dry and few fries. My son was also very dissatisfied. So not worth repeating.

We had made reservations for 22 people. The staff at the Greek restaurant had no trouble providing us with plenty of delicious food and drinks. Price quality was fine.

Best and nicest Greek in Zoetermeer. Quality particularly good. Presentation of the food is fine. Warm vegetables and coleslaw separately and free with every dish. Atmosphere and staff are cozy and always friendly. In short, come and eat quickly!

Meatballs in tomato sauce as a starter and then leg of lamb were very tasty. Mixed grill was ok but steak just too dry. Rack of lamb also very tasty, but the combination with pasta and cheese sauce was less successful for me. An 8 everywhere

Been coming here for years and it definitely deserves the stars, from the great personel to the food and atmosphere. Definitely worth it. One of the best restaurants in the city IMO. 4 years later, still just as good!

It was very quiet and uncomfortable because we were sitting in the middle of the restaurant. Food was not the quality it used to be and had also become considerably more expensive. Child unfriendly, fortunately I brought my own colors and coloring book.

Food is without doubt excellent. Nothing wrong with that. We entered and received the welcome ouzo. And ordered a rosé and a beer. Before this was served, there was already a waitress who asked what we wanted to eat. This pattern continued within 15 minutes. There have been 5 different waitresses with the same question. It gives the impression that the person who takes the order receives commission. And that the company wants to provide the same table again that evening with another guest. We want to relax and enjoy the food. The owner explains the "drive" of the waitresses as: That's our way of welcoming you. To us it comes across as pushy and scoring. Wrong incentives in the catering industry. In our eyes. Not welcoming but very pushy. Tonight we had dinner again with friends to everyone's satisfaction. Nice. 👍 22/9. Ended up here again. Pleasantly busy and once again good food. Service was smooth and I think the hostess/owner was very nice and extremely attentive.

After spending a few days in Limburg, it was wonderful to eat at our trusted Greek Restaurant Parthenon. The food was delicious as always and how nice to see that there are constant innovations, such as these coasters with a nice slogan. Super fun, right? 🤩 And with a delicious Limoncello from the house, to end a pleasant dinner, this evening couldn't go wrong 🥰
