I wanted to order 1,000 beers at 4 o'clock and they aren't even delivering them.

Food was delivered 50 mins TOO LATE. LUKEWARM food, without drinks, because they forgot. After calling, this was NEVER DELIVERED. Also, the allergy information is NOT known to the staff on the phone. The Fruti Di Mare does contain something with sesame/nuts/seeds, and went into the trash after a few bites. Dangerous! Our 2nd and last order. The delivery person was friendly though.

We had a delicious meal, the real old-fashioned lamb shawarma, prepared the old-fashioned way. Very friendly staff, we will most definitely be back.

Despite the heatwave, the owner was still in the kitchen. Had a good meal, had a nice chat with the owner (nice guy), and a great price.

The kapsalons were lukewarm, limp, snotty, and disgusting. The fries were limp and burnt, and the lettuce was soggy... When I called him again and asked for my money back, I got a rude response; I could come pick up a new one and return the filthy kapsalons because he didn't believe me... That was impossible... I said I didn't want that anymore and that by then my appetite was completely gone. I just wanted my money back because this was completely ridiculous. He refused to do that. When I told him I would post a bad review if that happened, he wished me luck. So here it is! Do not order from this terrible place!!

What an EXTREMELY bad, disgusting, and disrespectful experience. This is without a doubt the worst service I've ever experienced. I wanted to order food online and was looking for a Turkish döner pizza with cheese on the website. It wasn't listed, so I politely called to ask if it was available. Sure enough, it was—but they refused delivery "because it would take too long." What kind of service is that? So I had to pick it up myself. Once I got there, I also had to pay €8 MORE than the price listed on their own website. Pure fraud and deception. But the worst was yet to come. At home, my girlfriend took a bite of her kapsalon and there were TWO HAIRS in it. Truly disgusting and totally unacceptable. Apparently, they'd never heard of hygiene there. I called to report this and got the response: "Too bad for you." No apology, no solution, no decency whatsoever. When I told them this wasn't normal and that I was expecting a new order, they simply hung up. How disrespectful can you be? After calling again, I had to go back MYSELF to get a new one, as if it were my fault that they couldn't run their business cleanly or professionally. Unsanitary food, misleading prices, rude treatment, and zero respect for customers. This isn't bad service anymore—it's a complete disgrace.

It's just that I can't give 0 stars because I had to wait for my food for 2 hours and 36 minutes, my food was at room temperature and I only live 12 minutes walk away.

Not sure why there are so many complaints, i have ordered many times from this place and while i generally only order the kapsalon and some pitas, its always arrived hot and tasted how i would expect it to taste. Delivery guy is always friendly and delivery usually takes 30-40 minutes even though i live outside of Zeist.

Waited an incredibly long time for an order. Two Turkish pizzas and a chicken sandwich, waited 1:45 for it to arrive. Not bad food otherwise, but Jesus, they tell you it'll only be "15 more minutes" and then you're still dry half an hour later. Edit: Four months later, we thought it would be okay this time, but it was incredibly bad. Cold food, no garlic sauce. We called, but the staff didn't care. They told us to just order takeout next time because it would be warm then.

If you're willing to wait an hour or two for your food, I recommend it. It was soggy, and if you don't like garlic sauce, I wouldn't order from here because they don't serve it. I called and was told I had to pick it up myself if I wanted it hot. Definitely not recommended.

What an incredibly awful place. The food was cold, had no sauce, and it wasn't delivered for an hour and a half. When I called to complain, they said they couldn't do anything about it and that it was your problem. It's absolutely ridiculous that this can even happen.

Delicious food, but a bit of a wait. They get a lot of orders for delivery and pickup. But they do serve delicious, well-filled pizza and sandwich platters. You really get your money's worth. The kids loved it too. Highly recommended on Steynlaan. Requests for support

A very bad experience. The food was cold, dry, and practically inedible. I ordered a shawarma sandwich but had to assemble it myself, which is definitely not the intention. The döner sandwich was also extremely dry and tasteless. All in all, very disappointing. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Do yourself a favor and don't order from here.

I placed two orders on the same evening, and the order was incorrect. It was a shame. I was then offered a free drink on my next order as compensation. Since I don't plan on ordering from this store again, I felt this was a poor compensation. The employee was unfriendly on the phone and told me it wasn't his fault that something had gone wrong. Ordering takes ages. I waited over an hour and a half for two Turkish pizzas and a chicken sandwich, and they weren't exactly friendly either. The staff weren't particularly polite on the phone either, hanging up as quickly as possible. Definitely not recommended, especially considering the service alone, and the food itself is worthless.

Bad taste! Lamb shawarma, with some dark bits here and there, tasted only slightly spicy and generally unpleasant. Sour garlic sauce. A meager amount for a large shawarma sandwich, with a pita bread that was pathetically darkly roasted.

Ordered a chicken doner sandwich. It should have been €9 according to the price list and website. I saw that €10 was debited on the spot when I paid by card. It's a shame.

I place an order in the evening and have been waiting for my food for an hour. I try to reach them but I just get pushed away. The order finally arrives and it is a wrong order.

My experience at this Grillroom could best be described as bizarre. After waiting no less than 2 hours and 20 minutes for our order (while 50 minutes was indicated), part of the order turned out to be missing. When we contacted us about this, they were anything but willing to offer a solution and a laughable comparison was even drawn that read as follows: 'If you have to stand in line at the supermarket, you're not going to complain. ' We will never, ever order from Nieuwe Sphinx again.

How do you accept an order and then just not deliver it at all, no respect for the customer whatsoever. I ordered a chicken kebab sandwich for 8 euros and received a small bowl of meat and 1 small pita bread!!? When I order a kebab sandwich for that price, I expect a piece of Turkish bread, filled with chicken kebab, and a fresh salad of lettuce, cabbage, tomato, cucumber and a piece of feta on top. No children's snack, very disappointing.

Yesterday evening I ordered 1 pizza and a coke and 1 Turkish pizza, after an hour the delivery person calls saying he is at the door. Had to pay 25 euros and paid with 40 euros, which the delivery person did not get back and also forgot my coke. Finally paid 30 euros because the delivery person did not get back 2 x 20 euros. Very bad and not the tastiest wine because both pizzas were cold. Very bad

All you have to do is look at what the customer has ordered, make it and then deliver it. If you find that too difficult, you might want to take down your tent... Ordered 2 pizzas during the week at 12 o'clock at night, 1 of the 2 turned out to be the wrong one. We called and the guy said he could deliver a new one in an hour and a half because he was "busy". If the delivery person arrives at 2:15 am with a new pizza, we have to seriously explain the difference between the ingredients of the new and the old to him with their own menu next to it, "because he doesn't know it". Although both pizzas clearly contain different ingredients, the delivery person keeps saying that we are liars. Send your delivery person on a behavioral course and also teach him the difference between, for example, a mushroom and a chili pepper, because apparently he has quite a bit of difficulty with his "job". The pizzas are not cut and arrive lukewarm. If you had everything delivered within a reasonable amount of time, it would still not be recommended.

I placed an order today (December 23, 2023) at 00:54 at Nieuwe Sphinx Grillroom in Zeist. However, this never arrived. I called the restaurant twice and twice they said it would be there within 30 minutes. This has now been an hour and after I have tried to call them 8 times they are not answering.

Super tasty food! Ordered several times, but today I ate there for the first time with friends. The food is beautifully served, not sparing with meat, friendly chef aka host. My thanks were great and certainly worth repeating! By the way, that margherita pizza was the best I've ever eaten! Unfortunately I can't give more than 5 stars!!

Yes goes to the Sphinx for a fantastic simple pita shawarma. Don't complain about greasy food, long waiting times or the lettuce; you come here for a pita under the grill, with delicious juicy shawarma. At night, during the day, whatever you prefer, just take it away. Class case!

Started preparing when I entered the shop when it should have already been ready, the salon tasted like a lot of grease.

Problems with delivery due to a broken car, which was quite understandable, but it took a long time before we were informed (and they had not yet prepared the food because it would only get cold, so they have to get it out fairly quickly after placing the order). had known our order... After waiting for more than an hour, we offered to pick up the food and were assured that it would be ready within 10 minutes (so for us upon arrival at the grill room), but they only started preparing it when we entered the grill room. The food was ultimately tasty except for a burnt sandwich, but the more than 2 hours wait was not really worth it and although it was certainly partly force majeure, it could have been resolved much better in terms of communication...

Ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich and got chicken doner, it had a thick layer of oil, not normally so dirty anymore. Ordered extra onion sauce and didn't pay extra for it. After calling them I received an antisocial answer. Never ordering here again, not eating and antisocial behavior.

I'm not in the habit of eating outside, but I was in Zeist for a few days and had just attended a theater performance, and I was really hungry. I showed this to the shawarma master. For a competitive price I got delicious shawarma with lamb chops and extra chicken shawarma from the gentleman. It was a pleasure to be there because the owner is friendly, almost supportive, with his customers. It's normal for people to come back. Thank you for a good meal and fresh salad!

The pizzas still had to go into the oven and would be delivered within 20 minutes. The children in all states, meanwhile, started eating the Christmas tree to suppress the feeling of hunger. After a few more calls with empty promises, even that we could pick it up so we got it. Finally delivered 3 hours later and received 4 whole cans of soda as an apology. Pizzas a bit cold but luckily they tasted great.

Pizzas are delicious and generally on time. Today I had a pizza with onion, as not described on the ingredients list. After I spoke to the gentleman by phone, he said I could pick up another pizza including a drink as an apology. I don't understand all those bad reviews, this level of customer service is hard to find anymore!

Worst restaurant I have ever encountered. I ordered at 00.30. It is now a quarter past 2 am and still nothing. Number of times the staff calls and shouts strange things and laughs. Customer friendliness is zero. They don't even deserve 1 star, so you'll save your trouble with this one.

Very bad service. Order was 30 minutes late and incomplete, called and it would be arranged within 20 minutes. Called 70 minutes later, not solution-oriented and the company was angry on the phone. I wrote a review about home delivery and got an angry call from the owner saying; thank you for your review (in an angry way) after which I once again wanted to solve the problem, so the company responded: why that review? have a nice day and followed by hanging up the phone, and now no contact can be made. Very poor customer service and the food was far below expectations. This grill room is absolutely not recommended for this reason.

Actual scammers, never order from here. We ordered and paid for 3 pizzas, waited 1,5 hours and never got them. We kept calling them, and they kept telling us 20 minutes every time we called. They never even registered our order even though they said many times that it was on its way, yet we still paid for it and it never came.

Ordered Turkish pizza döner which I received without döner. Earn money this way easily. Pizza was tough, cold, and upon delivery they smoked in the car and asked if I wanted to get it done faster. Cough tomorrow anyway
