By far the most unfriendly woman and man serving. Due to a doctor's report I received over the phone with bad news about my son, my laptop had to be briefly left on the table after lunch. When she realized this and I explained why this was briefly necessary—in an otherwise empty restaurant—this woman stuck to her no-open-laptop rule: zero humanity or compassion. You've never experienced that before: where is your human touch?

Very expensive, and the food leaves a lot to be desired. I had the worst risottini I’ve ever had. they tasted old and completely lacked flavor. Honestly, it was very disappointing for the price, the food is not fresh at all.

A very cute Italian restaurant with delicious food and big portions. People running this place are very friendly. Their thin-dough pizzas are very big in size and tasty. You may try vegetale for vegetarian and Daviola for meat one. And don't forget to order a glass of Primitivo! Belissima! 🤌

We had another delicious meal tonight; the lemon chicken was really well-prepared and full of flavor. For dessert, of course, I had the pistachio tiramisu, which remains my favorite. I come here several times a week, and the food is always excellent. The lasagna and pesto pasta are also highly recommended; they're always fresh and made with care. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is friendly and helpful. A great place for both a quick lunch and a relaxed dinner.

For a restaurant, this policy feels unreasonable and unwelcoming, especially considering the amount of food I ordered. It gave me a poor impression and made the visit less enjoyable. Unfortunately, I don’t intend to return and can’t recommend the restaurant because of this policy.

The food was delicious and there was plenty of choice. There were also options to choose from different types of bread, but unfortunately, at 1 p.m., the options were more limited. The service was good and helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant with an Italian touch. The sandwiches are pricey for the quantity/size. Definitely worth a visit.

At Gusto di Gasto, you'll feel like you're in Italy. Everything you eat here is of excellent quality, perfectly seasoned, prepared with the very best ingredients and with LOVE—you can taste it. The paninis (sandwiches) are generously topped. The pizza has a delicious thin crust. The melanzana a la parmigiano is incredibly delicious, just like everything else they offer. The service is fast and friendly, and they also offer takeout, both hot and cold.

Honestly worst service I have ever seen in a restaurant! Asked for tap water after having ordered two main dishes and they said I needed to buy a drink to get access to the water. It was weird but not the end of the world, then they bring a single glass of water and when my friend asked for one too they told him that he needed to buy a drink to get access to the water. Please do not go to this restaurant as there are much better options around it.

Great service! Just before closing time, I ordered a delicious bresaola pizza for pickup. Very generously topped, and the arugula was served neatly on the side. The only thing I could do with the dough was a bit better (the Roman crust could be crispier, which could also be due to pickup).

Poor service and atmosphere. I was ignored by the rather rude waiter. I was also not allowed to sit down because the restaurant was closing. It turned out he had lied about the closing time.

My current comment: Everything has changed significantly, the food quality is presentable but rather disappointing, the pinsa is hard like a rock, not crispy, and its size is just the size of a lady hand, and cost €14.95, way too expensive, and still very hungry! I am not a big eater. Service from the staff is still ok, as we are frequent customers, yet, having no laptop policy is too explicit and not welcoming customers. Below was the comment i gave 5 years ago with five stars “Love coming back to this Italian restaurant. Wonderful service, price and portion are all very reasonable, love their fresh blood orange juice.”

We tried both the sandwiches and the pizzas. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet our expectations and didn’t reflect the quality one expects from Italian cuisine. The pizza had an unusual smell and taste, which affected our experience. We were hoping for better.

A long time customer here, for years. I like the sandwiches even though the prices increased a lot recent years. One big disappointment is weird "no laptop" policy and the insistance of the crew on this. My friend had to check her emails per a few minutes but she has been warned a few times, first nicely but then in a very rude way. That behavior was not ok, and this policy makes no sense. Waitress was telling something like, "other customers also want that, so close it"..completely non sense..

I am quite picky when it comes to Italian food. Ate here with my husband and we had a pizza, lasagna and 2 coffees. The food was so good that I forgot to take a picture and post it. The staff is super friendly and the food was great. 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ now for a 2nd time and took a picture.

Every dish is bursting with taste, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality you get. It’s rare to find a spot that consistently delivers such an amazing dining experience, and we’ll definitely keep coming back!

Delicious food and fast and friendly service. Price quality is very good. Sandwiches are large but delicious. And I had the Pulpo Salad, it was so delicious. Really fresh and tasted excellent. We will definitely visit again soon. Highly recommended if you want a nice lunch and the decor is really beautiful.

It’s a real italian place. Not like being in italy obviously, not exactly perfectly italian to the letter, but they really take care of the food in a way that italians appreciate! I am italian and I visit regularly for pizza or a nice panino. I recommend it. And the coffee is really espresso, short like it should!

Tenemos lasaña boloñesa y berenjena parmesana € 17, 95 cada uno. Delicioso, el servicio lento, pero tenían solo 1 - 2 jóvenes en el piso. No se sirve con pan italiano, pero amablemente nos dio una cesta cuando se le pide sin cargo. ¡Nunca antes se había servido una comida italiana sin pan! Así que todo era casi perfecto hasta que fui al baño al final de la visita y no había jabón a la vista! No tan preocupado por mí, pero los servidores también utilizan esa facilidad! No es agradable. Se lo mencioné a nuestro camarero pero tuve la sensación de que “no es mi trabajo” Qué pena.

Delicious coffee, but what bizarre prices for a sandwich!!! 14.95 for most sandwiches....we are not vultures, but in the end we just had a coffee there because we were really shocked by the prices, and we are really used to that.

I ate here with my husband for lunch yesterday, when we entered we immediately felt a cozy atmosphere and we were helped right away. I had a pollo matto sandwich and my husband had the vittelo tonato sandwich. However, the service was nice, they were very friendly and were also very neat. The food was affordable for what you ultimately get.

Me encantan los bocadillos de este lugar! El BOXIE es increíble. Caminé desde Amsterdam Centraal para recoger mi Boxie antes de dirigirme al aeropuerto. Soy fan de todos los bocadillos; y no puedo esperar a volver de nuevo. No me he sentado a almorzar aquí - el sándwich para llevar es lo que recuerdo y me dio justo el sabor que esperaba. ¡Gracias!

I miss the authentic Italian flavors. Most dishes were bland. I could never bring my Italian friends here. Prices per kg are interesting, resemble a revenue model, which means you pay unnecessarily a lot for very little. Pizza wasn't bad *hence two stars.

The Marriott staff pointed us here our first night and the pizza was excellent. We came back for another meal later in the week. The lasagna was outstanding. The bread served was made there and the atmosphere was great & friendly. We were full so didn’t have room for dessert but they looked tempting

Tuvimos una experiencia muy horrible en este lugar! Los empleados son muy hostiles a los clientes. No deberían estar en un negocio de hospitalidad en absoluto. El lugar es muy informal y casual pequeño lugar para comer. Estábamos sentados en los asientos exteriores. Nuestro pedido estaba tardando tanto, así que decidí abrir una cookie. La camarera fue histérica y gritando, que no estamos siguiendo una regla. Entendería mucho si el lugar es un incluso tiene un ambiente de restaurante, pero es como un lugar para llevar comida parece que no es fresco en absoluto!

Horrible waiters! We were sitting in the outside seats while waiting for our orders which is taking so long when I decided to eat a cookie! The waitresses went histerical and embarrassed me in public for eating something not from the restaurant(never experienced anything like that). The restaurant is even in a very informal setup. Not worth to be in a hospitality business. Very hostile to customers!

That is also allowed for the price from € 15.00 to € 17.00 per sandwich, which is quite expensive together with the drink prices that are presented quite high and too expensive on the bill, which is very negative because it prevents you from doing it weekly or even more frequently. to go there again. But the food offered is very tasty, so once every 2 months is doable with the investment you have to make with your wallet. If the prices were 20 to 25% cheaper, I would go there every week to enjoy those delicious sandwiches.

Vandaag van een heerlijke lunch genoten met vrienden. Positief is dat alles heel vers is, de bediening is zeer attent en de broodjes zijn behoorlijk groot en goed belegd. Dat mag ook wel voor de prijs vanaf € 15.00 tot € 17.00 per broodje wat onbehoorlijk en flink duur is samen met de drank prijzen die tamelijk hoog en te duur op de rekening wordt gepresenteerd, dat is zeer negatief want het weerhoud je er van weekelijks of zelfs freqenter er weer naar toe te gaan. Maar het geboden voedsel is heel lekker dus 1 x per 2 maanden is te doen met de investering die je met je portemonee moet aandoen. Als de prijzen 20 tot 25 % voordeliger zou zijn ging ik er elke week weer naar toe om van de heerlijke broodjes te genieten.

I loved the spinach dish (with garlic and pepper). The tomato soup was also good. Friendly service. I can recommend the ravioli with truffle and cream. Update: I came back today and had the vegetale pizza with artichoke, grilled aubergine, arugula and spinach. I loved it!

You are off track in the Netherlands. A chicken sandwich for €15, cappuccino for €4.50 Served on a mini table. With screeching tires to France where you get a three-course menu for €15, including wine, coffee, water and bread. For the price of your chicken sandwich.

Bought food to eat at home. Two pieces of lasagna, a small piece of melanzane and 5 meatballs. The price? 67 euros. Bizarre for the quantity. The food was tasty but the ratio between quantity and price is absurd.

What delicious sandwiches you have here. So much variation and richly invested. My favorite is olive bread with provolone, grilled eggplant and lots of spinach + pine nuts, etc. Cappuccino and espresso macchiato are also of very good quality. Prices have risen considerably over time and there is usually a lot of crowding at the uncomfortable tables, where nowadays you are often only allowed to sit downstairs. While the café looks very nice, the personnel was very unpolite with me and my girlfriend. We are both vegans, and we asked if they had anything vegan for us for breakfast, they said they didn't. Due to time constraints (my girlfriend had to catch a train) we decided to get a Cappuccino (with soy milk) at the café, and eat our own vegan snacks. We were sitting outside in the self-service area. After a couple of minutes we got asked to stop eating our things, or just leave. If you don't offer a service, especially regarding allergies and restrictive diets (you don't know why I cannot eat dairy!) you should always be understanding, and allow your customers to eat their own food. We had also paid 9 euros for two cappucinos! Very bad service, very unprofessional. I felt unwelcomed, and mistreated. This is not how I should feel in a place that takes customer service seriously. I really wish they can get better! (the cappuccino was just ok)

Zes jaar geleden schreef ik al eens een review voor Gusto di Casto en wat ben ik blij om te zien dat sommige dingen heerlijk hetzelfde blijven. Gusto di Casto is en blijft een stukje Italië in Nederland. Maar er zijn ook een aantal dingen veranderd: de service is erop vooruitgegaan en het interieur van de zaak oogt frisser en uitnodigender. De toevoeging van huisgemaakte producten in hun assortiment is een schot in de roos. Hoewel ik zelf geen alcohol drink, heb ik van velen gehoord dat hun limoncello absoluut de beste is die ze ooit hebben geproefd. Het is duidelijk dat dezelfde passie en toewijding die ze in hun gerechten stoppen, ook terug te vinden is in deze huisgemaakte specialiteiten. Een echte aanrader voor wie iets unieks mee naar huis wil nemen! Eén ding dat consistent hoog blijft, is de kwaliteit van het eten en de sfeer. Geen poespas of pretenties hier; dit is het resultaat van een toegewijde familie die dag in, dag uit werkt om de beste Italiaanse gerechten op je bord te toveren. Een klein advies voor degenen die op zoek zijn naar een authentiek gesprek: begin eens over Abarth of Maserati en je zult direct getuige zijn van de diepgewortelde Italiaanse passie die deze zaak drijft. Wat het eten betreft, blijft de pizza mijn absolute favoriet. De bodem is precies goed: niet te zout, precies zoals een echte Italiaanse pizza hoort te zijn. En mocht je even genoeg hebben van hipster koffies en snakt naar een authentieke Italiaanse espresso, dan is Gusto di Casto de plek om te zijn. Een andere fijne toevoeging is het ruime terras buiten. Perfect voor een lange zonnige middag of een snelle koffie. Kortom, ben je in Buitenveldert en op zoek naar dat echte Italiaanse gevoel? Dan is een bezoek aan Gusto di Casto een absolute must.

Ik was erg teleurgesteld over mijn broodje van 12,95. Goedkope mozzarella (is het gek om buffelmozzarella te verwachten?), tomaat en broodje waren smakeloos, ik proefde alleen de pesto en die was ook niet erg goed. Dit zou ik liever tegen het personeel hebben gezegd dan het hier te zetten, maar er heeft niemand naar onze ervaring gevraagd. Iets anders: toen we waren gaan zitten vroeg ik de ober om een glas water. Ik kreeg geen kans om te zeggen dat dat was zodat mijn zoon zijn medicatie kon innemen, want hij begon meteen met een hele riedel dat ze geen kraanwater serveren en of ik dan een fles wilde bestellen. Overigens verbaast het me dat je geen glas kraanwater kunt bestellen in een tent met zulke hoge prijzen. (Ik kreeg uiteindelijk trouwens wel water toen ik naar de bar was gelopen.)

Niet tevreden. Ik kwam hier binnen met de intentie voor een snelle lunch. Ik wilde in mijn eentje binnen zitten. Ik kom binnen en wordt compleet genegeerd. Ik ga uiteindelijk maar aan een 4 persoonstafel zitten aangezien niemand mij helpt. Ik kwam ongeveer 11:45 binnen. Na meerdere malen proberen te ober te wenken kwam hij eindelijk. Ik vroeg om een menukaart en geïrriteerd wees hij naar de tafel dat daar de menukaart lag. Dat was echter alleen een smoothie kaart. Ik kreeg uiteindelijk de menukaart onder ogen. Na 8 minuten kwam hij weer terug en nogal bot zei hij "what do you want?" Ik bestelde een bari broodje (niet al te moeilijk zou je zeggen) tijdens het bestellen viel ik opeens WEL op en werd ik gevraagd plaats te maken en naar een andere tafel te gaan. Oke geen probleem. Nou toen begon het wachten. Ik heb ongeveer 30 minuten op een broodje met pesto, parmaham en mozzarella moeten wachten. 10 minuten ja mijn bestelling kwamen er 3 mensen binnen die WEL direct geholpen werden enz. Uiteindelijk kregen zij zelfs eerder hun eten. Toen ik daar wat van zei kreeg ik een zucht en snauw dat mijn eten eraan kwam. Toen ik zei dat de mensen naast mij later binnenkwamen en bestelde en eerder hun eten kregen ging hij snel naar de keuken en pakte een willekeurig broodje. Toen ik zei dat dit het verkeerde broodje kwam er weer een zucht. Uiteindelijk kwam er een andere ober die vroeg of ik nog steeds niks had. Daarna ging het vlot. Bij het afrekenen kwam nog de nare nasmaak dat het broodje 3 euro duurder is als je het daar opeet. Ik kwam hier graag maar dit was wel de laatste keer denk ik.

Lekker gegeten, maar de bediening was niet erg professioneel. Lang moeten wachten op het eten (twee broodjes, niets bijzonders).

Leuke plek, lekker broodje, maar de wijn te duur en te minimaal geschonken, jammer.

Met het mooie weer op de terras gezeten wat altijd gezellig is. En lekker wijntje gedronken. Wat gerechtjes besteld om te delen. En de Carpaccio viel erg tegen omdat het erg droog was.

Duidelijk mensen met hart voor de zaak. Heerlijk eten, net iets creatiever dan de gemiddelde Italiaan, maar niet té ver buiten de traditionele smaken. De service is ontzettend vriendelijk en je merkt dat de eigenaresse haar klanten een fijne dag wil bezorgen. Kom er zeker nog eens terug!
