Mediocre food. Children serving, no owner or manager in sight. Definitely make sure you use the restroom elsewhere; they're the dirtiest in Apeldoorn.

Enjoyed a delicious brunch platter for two (€28), which was just the right amount! There was a cozy atmosphere and the staff were friendly, so definitely recommended! ☺️

Because it was a busy day, the staff didn't immediately realize we were waiting to order. After I approached someone at the bar, we received friendly service. The drinks and lunch were of good quality, and we'll definitely be back.

I've been to Guusje a few times, but unfortunately, my experiences have been mixed, so writing a review is difficult. I ordered bitterballen once, half of which were still frozen solid. The second time I ordered a carpaccio sandwich, which was delicious. Drinks, coffee, etc., were always good. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. What I did find annoying was that I took the last sip of my drink and someone immediately stood next to me. "Would you like another drink?" I said no, "Shall we pay now?" I was then asked. I think that's a bit hasty. I might want another drink later, but I paid and left.

First time at Guusje, As a local I've heard about Guusje's existence for quite some time but never actually went. A hip, cosy but little bit expensive place. The menu has a nice variety of vegan and non vegan options but no English menu unfortunately, no biggie. We ordered a carpaccio and kroket sandwich which arrived very quickly. Staff were friendly and considerate and did nothing wrong. Food was good, perhaps a little too much lettuce for my liking and too little cheese on the carpaccio, but overall more than satisfactory. Kroketten with thick brown bread, butter and mustard. A classic with which very little can go wrong. Pretty decent but yeah, a bit expensive. But the thing where Guusje stands out, its vibe. Cosy, busy but also somehow quiet, able to talk easily without feeling overwhelmed. Nicely designed interior and smooth lighting. Overall: Guusje is a decent place to go for a nice lunch/borrel. It wont blow you away with quality or low prices but overall it provides a comfortable and pleasant experience.

Local details, such as vintage advertising posters from Apeldoorn businesses (think Zwitsal and Sparta), create a unique atmosphere. They still serve really good coffee here from a portafilter machine. I'm impressed...and even though it's located in the middle of a shopping street, the prices are still reasonable. Service is quick. Only the cleanliness and ambiance of the restrooms leave something to be desired. They need more attention here.

We ate here today, at the brunch table for two. I expected more than we got; what was served was good, but not very much for 28 euros. "Fresh fruit" was 2 strawberries and 4 blueberries. Unfortunately, the salmon was also missing from our plate, but we only discovered this afterward when we were discussing price and quality. A nice lady checked to see if she could help us, but unfortunately, she couldn't. I would order differently next time.

There are several places to get coffee in the center of Apeldoorn. Guusje is one of them. The two of us shared a good cup of coffee and cake. The price is average. However, the regular coffee doesn't have a handle on the cup, which isn't always convenient when the coffee is still nice and hot.

Today I went to lunch with my husband. I ordered a salmon sandwich, but shortly afterward I became very ill, nauseous, and had stomach cramps... I'm definitely not having lunch with this.

Everything was perfectly fine, EXCEPT the service regarding clearing the table. There were four of us. My wife hadn't finished her meal yet, but everyone else had. The waitress leaned halfway over the table to clear the table. I found that rather antisocial.

I ordered a cinnamon roll for €4.50. Instead, I received Dirk van der Broek's cinnamon roll (65 cents) on a plate. It was warmed up on a bed of strawberry sauce and two blackberries. This is simply unacceptable. The coffee was good.

Guusje is amazing! 🥰 Guusje is located in the heart of Apeldoorn and has a large terrace and nice places to sit inside. They have everything: cocktails, beer, snacks, but also breakfast with yogurt and granola, delicious cakes, and a wide selection for lunch. The service is good, the atmosphere is great, the prices are also very reasonable, and I really love the food here. Guusje always makes me happy with what they serve. The only downside is that they regularly change the menu, and if I have my favorites, they're sometimes gone, but that's okay, and it doesn't detract from how great this place is for breakfast, lunch, or drinks!

Unfortunately, a huge letdown. Beautiful location, plenty of staff, which is also nice these days. That's where the compliments end. Fresh mint tea with six silverfish in it, "We just got new glasses, didn't rinse them, our apologies." It happens, but this guy's apologies were truly sincere. A croquette sandwich came with no mustard. We had to ask for it again. A carpaccio sandwich without truffle mayo, another sandwich returned. Cutlery still had to be brought after our food was on the table. Disappointing, that's the summary. The waitress apologized. The guy at the cash register asked if everything was to his liking, but our answer didn't really matter. I also couldn't find a place to change our little one, so I had to do it on the couch. Five waitresses saw me walking around with my baby and diaper looking for a spot, and no one spoke to me. A real shame! We'll choose someone else next time. I hope the owner can do something about this, because you have a really nice place and this is a real shame!

I ordered a carpaccio sandwich, but it had more lettuce than carpaccio, and they even forgot the truffle mayonnaise! It happens. But no onion, tomato, cucumber, etc. On top, you pay €12.50 for it. No compensation, just apologies. When I paid, they asked if everything was to my liking. I said no, "Oh, too bad," and still had to pay the full price, expecting compensation. I won't be back.

Nice location and didn’t get too busy even at lunch time. Food was nice and a good price, same goes for the coffee. We got the feeling that the staff were a bit rude with us which ruined the experience a bit.

I ordered tuna brioche, which was very meager for €12. The brioche was topped with a small amount of tuna salad on one side and mostly lettuce. The salad was good/sufficient.

This is a cafe I really enjoy sitting there with great coffee. The location is perfect, the coffee is amazing, the staff is super friendly, but only gets my 2 stars because of the food. We ordered one brunchtafel and one scones dish, and there came several disappointments. Firstly, I don’t think the chef knows what a scone is. Look at the pictures below, I would just call it a small bread with overloaded vanilla extract. Secondly, the croissant was very oily, dry and old. I don’t know how they managed to make it like a 3-day-old chorus. Besides, it mentioned on the menu that there would be ham on the brunchtafel but we didn’t get it. The quality of the food (only food!) is just not worth of the price.

Arrived for lunch at noon, the Moroccan tomato soup was already "sold out"—apparently, a lot of soup is sold in the morning. Then the wrong order was taken, and my partner had to wait for hers. She was supposed to be delivered first, but I'd already finished my sandwich before it finally arrived. This was our third visit to Guusje, and each time it was a disappointment; this was our last chance.

What a disaster! The four of us arrived, having made a reservation for 1:00 PM, and a table by the window. We arrived at 1:00 PM, and there was no reservation. After 20 minutes, a spacious table opened up for us, but not by the window. We wanted lunch; the small menu included bitterballen (bitterballen) and Mexican soup with a hummus sandwich. We ordered those, but the soup was gone. So, we ordered a double portion of hummus sandwich with brown bread. After a considerable time, three double hummus sandwiches were served with white bread; sorry, the kitchen misread it. Bitterballen were okay, though. After another considerable time, the brown hummus sandwiches arrived. The hummus was spread about 0.1 mm thick on the bread slices, with a stray ring of onion and sour cucumber. Wow, oh, wow. We also wanted a sparkling water, but sorry, they're out of sparkling water. One of us wanted to use the restroom. Too bad there's no toilet paper. It was truly embarrassing. However, the wait staff was very friendly and had to apologize frequently. In short: lunch at Guusje is not recommended.

Vooraf een afspraak gemaakt wat er gegeten mocht worden. Tijdens het opnemen weken ze hier toch vanaf en kon niet teruggedraaid worden. Was veel te weinig eten waardoor meerdere personen opnieuw iets moesten bestellen. Dit was voor onze reizigers zeer onduidelijk. Meerdere bestellingen waren fout en moesten hersteld worden. Hamburger volledig verkoold en moest dus ook opnieuw. Rekening was aanzienlijk hoger. Er werd niets aan gedaan. Er moest maar een mail worden gestuurd. Oplossing waar ze mee kwamen toen we weg gingen, jullie mogen een nagerecht voor de helft. Alsof we daar ooit nog iets willen eten.

We went here for coffee and tea with some pastries. The waitress clearly didn't feel like it. Shows little emotion and sees work more as a duty than as something to enjoy. The fact that you can get pastries from Maassen bakery is great. Next time I'll go somewhere else.

We had the "Breakfast table" here. A real disgrace and not recommended. The menu says "..., yoghurt, granola & banana" and that was expressed in a bowl of yoghurt in which the whole lot had already been thrown. The "table with sandwiches" consisted of 2 slices of dark bread and 2 small sandwiches. One of the sandwiches was a one-bite sandwich. The eggs were boiled for too long and therefore black. By the way, we did get new eggs. The interior of "guusje." is nice, but the floor was not clean, the carpets look incredibly dirty, the water in the vases with flowers was cloudy and the high chair of our neighbours had terribly dirty legs. I hope that the dining tray was hygienically clean The price/quality ratio was completely gone. This was our last visit to "guusje."

Guusje is van eigenaren die meerdere horeca zaken hebben. Dan mag je verwachten dat ze weten hoe je een horeca zaak runt…en je kan voorbereiden op het grotere terras waar je om gestreden hebt. Extra omzet met drukke dagen. Maar wat een zooitje is het bij Guusje…2x besteld en minimaal 30min moeten wachten op ons drinken…bediening liepen als kip zonder kop rond…maar als 1 van ons een patatje had gehaald en aan het eten was aan onze tafel had ze daar wel oog voor en kwam waarschuwen dat dit niet mag…dat heeft ze te horen gekregen…wc wat een puinhoop, glazen waren op en onze wijn kregen we in Gore ongewassen glazen…Guusje…ga eens bij Café de Paris kijken hoe ze het daar doen…helaas was er bij Guusje wel plek

The first time we waited an hour for our food because they forgot our order, but we were okay with this because it was fun :) The second time I ordered the chicken chorizo ​​stew. This was a very tasteless chicken soup with dry pieces of chorizo, there was nothing 'stewed' about this stew. Indicated and they couldn't do anything about it, because 'this is how they always make it'. We didn't eat it, but we had to pay for it. Fortunately, the salad we ordered was tasty. Ordered a croquette sandwich for the third time, the waitress said it was without fries, so I ordered more fries. It turned out that there were fries with it.... I'm not someone who complains or whines easily, but after 3 chances I won't come to Guusje again.

No additions just fries and some lettuce (you get better service at the cafeteria around the corner) The fries were the only thing that was good! 4 x, 5 x coffee almost €82! Coffee served in a bowl without a handle and could only be held when the coffee was already cold! So a one-off visit, I won't be going again!

Very disappointing - not recommended What a mockery. We came for a cappuccino and a piece of cake. There was apple pie in the display case, so I pointed to it. Employee: “It's gone.” Pointed out again: “It's gone.” While he was literally standing there. It hurt my mind – like being in a bad version of the purple crocodile commercial. Then I chose something else. Unfortunately, the staff was busier drinking their own matchas than taking orders or serving anything. After waiting twenty minutes - without anything on the table - we left and canceled the order. It felt like we were in a sloppy student room. Hygiene? Moderate. Service? Casual and slow. Interested in guests? Nil. So we won't be coming back here again.

Personally, I think the service and quality have deteriorated quite a bit. The latte I ordered was not really tasty and a slab of butter on one French toast could have been neater.

Vanmiddag dachten even lekker te lunchen. Ik had een sandwich met zalm besteld, op de menukaar staat, met rode ui,biet en kappertjes, ik heb ze alle drie niet kunnen vinden, alleen een beetje sla met een flinterdun plakje zalm. Het brood was minstens 5 dagen oud, ik stikte er bijna in. Daarbij had ik een glaasje wijn besteld, dat was zo weinig,dat het met twee slokken op was. Mijn man had de krokante kip, nouw hier van hetzelfde laken een pak. We hebben al veel geluncht op verschillende locaties, maar dit hebben we nog nooit meegemaakt. Dus hier komen we nooit weer.

Even though it is King's Day, you can make your customers very dissatisfied by serving such food. We took every dish from the drinks menu here tonight. The appetizer consisted of 90% dry meatballs. The remaining 10% were tasteless nasi snacks that many Asians would roll over in the proverbial grave for. The 'loaded' frieze especially felt unloaded. Cold grated cheese and a little mayo make fries not loaded. The Gyozas were huge coriander bombs. As if a small coriander nursery manifests itself in the mouth. The normal fries were lukewarm to cold. The nachos were also very poor. House brand chippies with a pale cold factory guacamole. No, you don't have to come here for the food. The service was okay, the ambiance was fine.

It's a pity that you can't make a reservation, I specifically asked for an exception due to mother's birthday and age, 93, who had to come to town especially by bus to have lunch together at Guusje. but no exception could be made. very unfriendly and not hospitable from the manager who was called to make an exception. Recently had lunch here at a not too busy time. We first waited fifteen minutes until (after raising a hand) someone from the service had the spirit to ask if they could do something for us. Then had a Carpaccio that was probably spoiled, I was quite sick from it.

I always thought that if you order salmon with avocado and a poached egg, there is no way it won't be good, but I was so wrong... The bread slices, one of them was 4cm high on one side and 1cm on the other,the avocado which was supposed to be cut in pieces and laid on the bread, was just a peeled half avocado that was uncut,will attach a picture or this beauty, since words cannot describe it.

Nice terrace and sometimes nice in the sun. But the service is terrible. Staff only looks straight ahead and pays no attention to the guests. After more than 20 minutes I went inside to order my drinks, but even then it still took about 15 minutes. De bediening is heel slecht. Ze letten niet op wie er nog niet heeft besteld dus erg lang wachten. Mijn dochter en ik kwamen er voor een kop koffie en wat lekkers. Het duurde heel lang voordat we wat hadden. Er waren andere mensen die maar weg waren gegaan zonder dat ze het bestelde hadden gekregen. Het toilet was heel vies.

Vroeger goed, nu vreselijk. Ga hier niet heen. Boven eindeloos wachten. Twee keer naar beneden gegaan om te vragen of ze konden bedienen. Boven keiharde muziek uit de boxen en op de vraag of het wat zachter kon kreeg ik de opmerking dat ze dat niet mochten doen van de baas. Koffie bij de scones was ineens niet mogelijk (voorheen wel). Een volledige zielloze en ongeïnteresseerde blik uit de ogen van van de ongeschoolde bediening.

Then I say something about it and SUDDENLY the drink can be there within 2 minutes after you have waited half an hour. This has been the case since I started coming here (over 2 years) and it has hardly improved. Very unfortunate because you have a beautiful building, but you will lose me as a customer because of the service.

Een leuke locatie met een leuk interieur, niet standaard. Vriendelijke bediening van jonge meiden. Alleen vond ik het eten middelmatig. Ik had een burrata op een wit chiabatta broodje waardoor de smaak helemaal wegviel, echt zonde. Hierdoor werd het een vlakke hap. Mijn cheesecake smaakte ook nergens naar, ook vlak van smaak......Mijn dochter had een broodje met brie, walnoten en een soort chutney die wel in de smaak viel. Echt zo jammer dat de kok hier niets mee doet qua smaak. Dit zou de zaak echt naar een beter nivo tillen.

We visited this very spacious café bar which is located in the centre of the shopping area on a Sunday morning. It was understandably very popular. We enjoyed two flat whites which cost €4.50 and the service was very good.

It took quite a while before we got the coffee, the food wasn't really tasty either. Service could also be a bit friendlier. A bit chaotic in there in my opinion.

Sat inside for half an hour, was not greeted, helped or looked at at all. They left again... Where were the staff? Too bad, nice place in a great location. Needs a good manager.

What terrible service. The coffee took a very long time. After we finally ordered lunch, both a carpaccio sandwich, it turned out that the carpaccio was gone. The French toast did not have blueberries as indicated on the menu, the crispy chicken sandwich was dry and sparsely filled. At checkout we indicated that we were really dissatisfied. Wat een verschrikkelijke service. De koffie duurde heel erg lang. Nadat we eindelijk lunch besteld hadden, beide een broodje carpaccio, bleek dat de carpaccio op was. Ze kwamen niet opnieuw vragen wat we dan zouden willen. Moesten zelf een medewerker aanspreken terwijl ze allemaal niet keken of aan het opletten waren. Het eten duurde vervolgens echt heel lang, minimaal 3 kwartier. De wentelteefjes hadden geen blauwe bessen zoals op de kaart aangegeven stond, het broodje krokante kip was droog en karig belegd. Bij het afrekenen aangegeven dat we echt ontevreden waren. De reactie van de vrouw achter de balie was enkel dat ze het kon begrijpen maar dat ze hier eigenlijk niet werkt en er niks aan kon doen. Echt heel erg jammer want de kaart is prima en het is een leuke plek maar wij hebben echt geen goede ervaring gehad en komen er nooit meer terug.
