Amazing food and service keep it up

We were there last year and returned during our visit to The Hague this year. The food is very good quality and delicious. The price of €25 per person for food and drinks was perfectly reasonable.

I ate at Hasheba Savanna yesterday, and I didn't like it. The meat was tough, and there was a hair in my spinach beef dish. I've had Ethiopian food before, and it doesn't compare to this. Except for the way it looks. I woke up with diarrhea today. I'm never going back.

I ended up here randomly with two friends, and I’m so glad we did! We ordered one combo and the kitfo. The food was delicious, with authentic flavors, and the place itself was very cozy and clean. The service was also wonderful the lady was so friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place if you’d like to try authentic Ethiopian/Eritrean (Habesha) food!

Eritrean atmosphere and food. I'm used to the South Ethiopian kitchen, which is much spicier 🔥,so I brought my own Data. The injera's are perfect and they even have Tej.

What a delight! So fresh, new and different. Injeera bread was my discovery of the evening! The Kittfo dish was soooo good. The setting is so friendly and I appreciated the sharing of the dishes and the lay out of the platter. So cosy ….. I will come back and bring my friends.

I love it here. Super friendly and nice family running the business. The food is real soul-grounding-food. The last time I was there I tasted their Home-Made Tiramisu.. Well damnnnnnn… so healinggg. It must be the Tiramisu Kendrick Lemar talks about when he sings “I deserve this like Tiramisu”

A very warm and welcoming place for eritrean/ethiopian food. The food is absolutely delicious. There is beautiful art on the walls and what stands out is heartwarming aura of the owner, Sophia!

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and very nice people. Together with my family I enjoyed the tastiest injera I had in the Netherlands. The food was well seasoned and the service was superb. Afterwards I forgot my bag in the restaurant, the owner looked up my telephone number and let me know that I had forgotten it. Very attentive and nice. We will definitely visit more often! :)

Normally I'm a picky eater. But the food here was so delicious that I will 100% come back again to try the rest. The service was very good and polite and the atmosphere was also very pleasant. Recommended!

Fantastic Ethiopian/Erithrean Cuisine! The food at is absolutely delicious and authentic. The injera was perfectly soft, and all the stews have great flavors. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy Ethiopian/Erithrean dishes!

Great all across the board. Love the modest location and humble family restaurant. It feels like everyone is welcome there and the food is amazing. Fantastic service and a lovely local joint. Had plenty with the two person dish and even allowed us to personalize for vegetarian. A treat in the Hague!

I visited the Ethiopian restaurant in Den Haag on August 11, 2024 and tried the Ethiopian food and Ethiopian coffee. The food is delicious, the coffee is excellent, and the service is wonderful. I thank all the restaurant workers, especially Ms. Sofia for her good treatment, service, and interest in providing the best she has. I recommend trying and visiting.

Such a quaint spot! The best Ethiopian food I’ve tasted Is when I visited California (I’ve never been to Ethiopia) but for the Netherlands, this is probably the best you can get! It was super flavorful and great portion. Highly recommend :) the service was excellent.

We were visiting The Hague and wanted to eat something “different”. We discovered the restaurant here on Google Maps and tried it out. We were just impressed. The restaurant is lovingly furnished and the food tastes really good. Everything is prepared fresh and the prices are very affordable. We ordered a meal for two people and even though it was a platter with different types, we only paid €40. You pay €2.50 for a cola. All in all, we are totally thrilled and also surprised at how friendly we were received. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back.

Delicious food that is hard to find enywhere else in this part of the world. Soft, and spongy injera - that’s what it is all about. Exceptionally kind service and obviosly the unforgettable vibe. You literally fell as is you were in Africa.

Apologies for this, but our delivery was not good. We had injera. A bit of a squishy combination between a sponge and a pancake. For one of us the sponge pancake was also cold. We think so too the amount requested is too high for what you get (sponge pancake with a little sauce for 19).

It was great! The food was TOP 🔝, the service was super nice and warm, anyone who gives negative reviews here has little or no idea about African food. This taste of the most diverse dishes was a culinary journey of pleasure. For The Hague the price was also perfectly fine. We paid €20 per person for a dish, which we shared (two people) and €2 per coke. Say 46€ together. All in all really great, there could be more napkins Lying on the table because African people eat with their hands. Since it was already quite cool in the restaurant, I put a star on Ambience. We'll be happy to come back :) I can only recommend it. If you like African food, this is the right place for you.

Fantastic food! I enjoyed everything. I am vegetarian and there are lots of options. Sweet potato is 🔥🔥🔥. (Meaning excellent, only mid spice.) Very welcoming space. Open on Mondays when many places are not.

I did not like it. The food was awful and overpriced, the beer was warm, the service was awkward. No starter menu, felt like it was just microwave food with cheap spices. Presentation is not very good. The restaurant was badly lit, no candles, and cold. No serviettes. Would not go back.

Habesha Savanna Eetcafe is een absoluut pareltje voor liefhebbers van Eritrese keuken. De Bebiaynetu-maaltijd was een perfecte mix van smaken en texturen. Van de luchtige injera tot de smaakvolle lentil stew, milde Alicha-curry en verfrissende salade - elke hap was een culinaire ontdekking. De vriendelijke service en warme sfeer maakten mijn ervaring compleet. Een absolute aanrader om de authentieke Eritrese keuken te proeven!

Very good food! They also have home made smothies which are really worth it! Very delicious. The restaurant is all decorated with an African theme. Looks really pretty and cozy. Some of the food is meant to be eaten with your hands. But don't worry they have bathrooms where you can wash them before and after. I had never tried African food but I really like it. I normaly can't eat spicy food but they have options that are less spicy and I could eat it well! Enjoyied it a lot! We ordered a dose for 2 people and was legit the perfect portion. You can also order individual portions.

Food is good, quite standard Ethiopian fare, so if you're after that in this area it's definitely worth checking out (although it quite expensive for Ethiopian). Be warned though, they do not accept Visa, MasterCard, etc (only Dutch banks), so bring cash if you don't have a Dutch card...

Exceptionally hospitable restaurant - we felt very comfortable from the very beginning. The food is also sensational. I have eaten Ethiopian and Eritrean food before, but here everything was just perfect. All in all, a thoroughly recommendable restaurant.

Very disappointed that our delivery order was incomplete, with no ingera bread, and the Cafe only offered extra bread on our next order. Zero customer service.... Look elsewhere!

Really lovely experience. Main reason we went was because I cannot have gluten and they serve injera (made from teff flour). Food was delicious and the staff was very kind and helpful. We took their suggestions on what dishes to try and it was great. The coffee was also very special and tasty. Also important restaurant was super clean. 10/10, would recommend and we are sure to go back soon!

Very cute interior, love the culture and coffee ceremonies. If you're looking for something new this is the place to go and the prices are very affordable
