The service we experienced on the ship's terrace was poor. The waitress didn't look up or around to see if there were any new guests. We waited over 15 minutes before she even started making her rounds to take orders. She had already brought drinks to other tables in the meantime. I also worked, but she didn't respond. Even when you wanted to pay, she didn't see you. You're not treated like a guest. I eventually went inside myself, but I paid and didn't say anything. She apologized a thousand times while she was on her smartphone. She hadn't seen us... phew.

We ate satay there tonight. It was dry, and the satay sauce tasted more like putty. Our neighbors behind us had the same problem. They kind of laughed it off. Too bad. Probably leftover food from the previous Sunday. We won't be eating there again. The beers were very good, though. The extra portion of fries we ordered was also fine. But hey, that's not what you come here for.

We had lunch from a lunch menu with typical dishes like mustard soup, sandwiches, and meat croquettes with fries. The service was fast and friendly. The outdoor area on a ship was lovely.

Wat een mooie plek om op de boot De Tromp te borrelen. En wat een prima bediening. Zeer vriendleijk en het proces van bestellen en bezorgen verloopt uitstekend. Daar kunnen veel horecagelegenheden van leren. Prachtige bierkaart, een link naar de Halve Maan van Brugge is snel gemaakt. Ook het gebak en de flat white was uitstekend. Al met al een toplocatie.

The Fish Salad for lunch disappointed me. Lots of cheap curly lettuce, slivers of salmon and small pieces of mackerel (some strips of cucumber, capers, sauce). Two thin slices of baguette with it. The total was not in proportion to the price €15,= ++

Good nachos.....a bit less authentic due to the lack of salsa; Vietnamese sweet/sour, is tasty, but... Otherwise tasty with chicken on it.

Wat leuk om als toerist om op een boot te zitten en daar te lunchen in het zonnetje. We hebben beide een mosterdsoep gegeten en die was heerlijk! Altijd zo jammer dat wanneer je wil betalen zo moet zoeken naar iemand bij wie je kunt betalen. En dan vervolgens wordt verteld dat we naar binnen moeten lopen om daar te betalen. We moesten daarbij ons tafelnummer doorgeven. Dit zou toch anders kunnen.

We ate well. We can recommend both the burger and the bread. We sat outside in a corner protected from the wind. I liked that the non-alcoholic beer tasted good.

Could be so much better, beer way out of date. They resolved it nicely. Friendly staff. The menu mentions wrap with boiled chicken and avocado. Avocado is in the form of a nasty spread, such a shame. Then mention that it is a spread. As mentioned, so much could be better.

Tasty lunch dishes and friendly service.

Sitting outside on a boat in the sun is great. Eating is good. Unfortunately I couldn't adjust my 12 hours. I don't like croquettes, so I prefer salmon instead of croquettes. It is often a few euros more expensive (no problem of course) but unfortunately this was not possible at this location

Waren im August 2024 mit unserer 7-jährigen Tochter dort. Vor allem das Ambiente hat uns gefallen. Es war sehr fein auf einem Schiff zu speisen. Wir haben auch gut gegessen, ich hatte die Spareribs. Das Bier war sehr gut und man konnte Biere aus der Region verkosten. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit!

The food was delicious, it is a cozy place to sit in the sun on the boat, you see many people passing by on the water, the service was a little less at our time because we had to wait a long time for a menu and many people who After us we were served earlier, but all in all everything was fine! I almost never give a bad review, but when I came to this restaurant with my wife, who has difficulty walking and has pain when sitting, the toilet was up two flights of stairs. She had to go to the staff toilet at the Posthoorn. When we sat outside on the boat, on the plastic chairs, my wife quickly started to feel pain. There were cushions inside, but after an explanation of her condition we were still unable to get them outside, because that was simply not allowed. So we give a big thumbs up to people who have a disability, so we went to the Posthoorn, where we got several pillows, nice service and delicious food.

Not hospitable, not helpful and little effort to offer guests a place. After a short snarl from the employee, we walked on to t' Raedhus. Nicer places, more choice on the menu, extremely friendly service.

Koffie was filterkoffie en de kroketten waren niet warm en niet geweldig lekker. Wel fijn op het schip in het kanaal gezeten.

Mijn vrouw had varkenshaas saté besteld, toen zij die kreeg en doorsneed was deze gortdroog, niet te eten. We hebben het terug gestuurd waarna een manager naar ons kwam en vroeg wat er niet goed was, uitgelegd waarop zij zei dat de kok had gezegd dat het prima was en hij het altijd zo maakt. Nou dan is het alleen maar erger…. Snel hier voorbij lopen, ga naar de Waag, daar is het prima eten met fijne bediening!

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food and it wasn't good enough for the price.

What was a very hospitable experience two years ago, July 16, 2024 was anything but. No menu was offered; so we grabbed one copy from another table. We were not asked if we had made a choice or were ready to order. Once, after having someone to order the food myself, the meal was very disappointing. The club sandwich was not as described on the menu; (two ingredients were missing) when we asked the waiter about this, the response was; oh that's a printing error.. Subsequently the table was not cleared. I walked to the bar to pay, but there too I was not asked whether I had enjoyed it or whether any action had been taken to clear it out. Everything but a hospitable service-oriented experience. Which is not the fault of one person, because there were several ladies active in the ministry at that time. Next time we will pass Half Moon.

Relax on the boat terrace on a windy afternoon

Iconic restaurant in the city. Good location on the Canal. Served by beautiful waitresses, very gentle and cordial. The food is excellent 👌 and the apple pie is exquisite.

Location! The best place in Dokkum; terrace on a boat in the canal. What else do you want?

Recently ordered iced coffee here. It was just lukewarm water and didn't taste like coffee. Asked if we could get something else because it was really undrinkable. We were told they always made it this way. Finally, after indicating once again that it was really not tasty, we were able to get a discount.

Conviviality and good food for a normal price

The ambience on the ship was nice, but the burger wasn't anything special for the price. There was also only a small bowl of French fries and an even smaller bowl of salad. We were very disappointed. Positive: There is a large selection of beers.

The patio boat is a great idea. You have a beautiful view over the water. The food and drinks are fine and the service is also excellent.

Great seating on the ship 👍🏻 and quick service. Unfortunately the food was a bit too cold and definitely not enough on the plate!!!!!! The satay sauce was deliciously spicy.

Had a lovely meal outside and drank a beer from our own brokerage. Beautiful view over the water. Pleasant service. Tables on the boat are a bit shaky, so be careful. But definitely recommended if you are in Dokkum.

Beer lovers should note this place. The selection is huge.

Wonderful beer and the best fries in Bruges. The Carbonades cooked in their own beer are really good. The cheese croquettes are also wonderful.

Nice place to have a drink and eat.

We had the beef stew, salad and fries. We didn't like it. The stew was 1 lump of beef with fat and it was lukewarm. The salad seemed to have been thrown out of a bag with some sauce on top. There was nothing through it. With the fries it seemed that half of them had been fried for the second time, so they were full of fat, in short, not worth repeating.

Here you can really enjoy delicious food, especially the satay is recommended.

Very good food (steak and spare ribs) and a great selection of beers

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and invites you to relax. Unfortunately you will be disappointed with the food. Far too high prices for small meals. The burger is tasty, but thinly topped. The ribs were convincing, the Wiener Schnitzel is more of an appetizer. The salad is from a bag from the supermarket, which is pretty poor considering the prices. The supposed side dish, fries and salad with every main meal, was omitted twice and could have been ordered as an extra portion. So I wouldn't recommend this locally, if anyone gets lost in there, take the ribs, you won't go wrong with that.

Cozy terrace on the deck of a ship. This is certainly a plus when the weather is nice. Friendly service and excellent cappuccino.

Waardeloze bediening waren niet de enige die weg gelopen zijn. Ze kijken je niet eens aan en na een kwartier nog niks te drinken, terwijl er bijna niemand op heg terras zat

Nice spot, recommended to sit on the boat. Spare ribs recommended, good portions. The disadvantage is that smoking is allowed and that was used...

Cappuccino met appeltaart. Hier zijn ze beiden van goede kwaliteit. Appeltaart smeuïg maar wel met afzonderlijke stukjes appel (geen prut), smaakvol en krokant deeg. Goede appeltaart is een schaars goed, komen we achter. Maar hier kun je gerust appeltaart bestellen.

Net lekker gegeten met mijn zoontje op de boot. Goede service goed eten. En een fooi gegeven voor goeie eten. We komen spoedig weer. Bedankt

De locatie aan het water, op een boot, is erg gezellig. We genoten voor de tweede keer van een zogenaamd "12-uurtje" ... heerlijk !!! Eerder ook al meermaals koffie met oranjekoek daar genuttigd. Een vast adresje als we op vakantie zijn in Friesland. Goed, gezellig en betaalbaar.

Cafetería preciosa situada en un barco en el canal. Tienen una gran variedad de cervezas y las cosas de picoteo que tienen son deliciosas como los Natxos, merece la pena probarlos. Siempre que vamos a Dokkum nos gusta visitarlo.

We zijn 's avonds met z'n 4en gaan dineren. Vooraf tafel gereserveerd, was goed gegaan. 4x biefstuk en als toetje 2x tiramisu ijs en 2x chocolotine ijs. Het eten was super. Biefstukje iets teveel door gebakken (hadden medium besteld) maar de smaak was goed. Binnen (beneden) waren er niet veel zitgelegenheden. Dat is op zich jammer, want de bar is best dominant aanwezig. Voor de rest een top locatie.

Café Halve Maan, Dokkum Das Café Halve Maan in Dokkum hat mich während meines Besuchs auf ganzer Linie überzeugt. Inmitten des charmanten Städtchens liegt das Café direkt am Kanal und bietet seinen Gästen eine außergewöhnliche Lage. Unser Besuch hatte den Fokus auf Getränken wie Kakao und Kaffee, wobei wir uns auch einen Kuchen und Nachos als Snack teilten. Die Bedienung im Halve Maan war sehr schnell und äußerst freundlich. Schon bei der Begrüßung fühlten wir uns herzlich willkommen. Ein absolutes Highlight war die Möglichkeit, auf einem Schiff im Kanal direkt vor dem Restaurant Platz zu nehmen. Hier konnten wir das maritime Flair genießen und die vorbeifahrenden Boote beobachten. Der Kuchen, den wir uns teilten, war frisch und lecker, und auch die Nachos als Snack waren gut zubereitet, knusprig und schmackhaft. Insgesamt waren wir mit unserem Besuch im Café Halve Maan rundum zufrieden und können diesen Ort wärmstens empfehlen. Daher vergebe ich für das Café Halve Maan in Dokkum voller Überzeugung 5 von 5 Sternen. Dieses charmante Café ist nicht nur ein idealer Ort für eine Kaffeepause, sondern auch eine hervorragende Gelegenheit, das besondere Ambiente am Kanal zu erleben. Wer in Dokkum unterwegs ist, sollte sich einen Besuch im Halve Maan auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen.

Drinken was erg lekker vooral de ginger ale. Sfeer was goed, leuk uitzicht. Leuk om op een boot te eten! Aldus: super!

Heerlijk gegeten en goeie vriendelijke bediening

Gezellig eetgelegenheid, lekker knus, vriendelijk personeel en de lunch was heerlijk.

Gegeten met mijn partner op een zomeravond. Het zat redelijk vol, en het duurde erg lang voordat het eten gebracht werd. Een ober verkondigde aan alle gasten (want er waren veel klachten over de wachttijd overal om ons heen) dat de stoomoven bijna klaar was. Dit verklaarde gelijk waarom er steeds in golven eten werd geserveerd: eten wordt niet vers gemaakt, maar komt uit een fabriek en wordt slechts opgewarmd! Eten was niet bijzonder lekker en prijs was ook niet laag. Gecombineerd met de matige sfeer en bediening raad ik dit restaurant niet aan.

Met onze dochter van 14 hier onlangs geluncht. We hadden 2x een twaalf uurtje (luxe broodje gezond, broodje kroket en soep) en 1x patat met kibbeling. Eten was erg lekker. Geen 5 sterren op sfeer omdat het personeel de hele tijd achter de bar op hun telefoons zaten. Ongezellig. Ook zagen ze ons bijna niet vertrekken daardoor.
