Happy Chen in Sluispolder

New owners, no pork is sold so no sieuw etc. The food (halal) is good in itself, but the whole Chinese-Surinamese concept is gone.

I recently visited Happy Chen and I can't help but praise it. I tried the chicken curry sandwich accompanied by fries and it was an excellent choice. The sandwich was more than well filled, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really inviting and cozy, which contributes to a pleasant dining experience. The service was also great; the staff were attentive and friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. What also struck me was the value for money. For the quantity and quality of the food, the price was more than reasonable. In short, Happy Chen is recommended for anyone looking for a delicious meal in a nice setting!!!

After years of getting fries from the old owners, today was my first time with the new owner and after today it was the last time. The fries have become more expensive, they were double fried, extremely salty and almost a quarter less. Not recommended!

Maasluis can be happy with this typical Chinese takeaway. I was very skeptical at first because of the old-fashioned and somewhat dilapidated look of the outside and inside. Once we arrived, we were kindly helped by the owner, who was very competent and showed us her map. She spoke confidently about the 24th anniversary of the business and that she has the best chef in house. (I think her husband) I was convinced and ordered various nasi, curry and beef tenderloin dishes, I think I spent around 70 euros, once we arrived home we all agreed that the food was EXTREMELY FRESH AND EXTREMELY DELICIOUS IN TASTE. A hidden gem in the Maassluis. You can pick up all your Chinese and Surinamese dishes here. The couple also super friendly!!!

I ordered a chow mein roast pork to eat at home, I don't know what happened but this really made no sense at all. A bowl of noodles (bami) with nothing in it, no vegetables such as taugi and other types of vegetables and a bowl of red colored soft pork (gatfer) and then you pay 18.50. Pfffff never more than really never again, it doesn't taste like anything. Maybe the The cook standing in that dark room has lost his way, I don't know. I would say go to Rotterdam to a place like this and have chow mein roasted pork or roasted chicken, maybe you can learn something from it as it should be.

Super nice people who run this restaurant. You will always be welcomed cheerfully and helped quickly. The food is tasty, you can choose between Chinese food and/or a Dutch snack bar. There are a few tables so you can eat your food there, but it's just as easy to pick it up. You can only pay with cash, there is an ATM nearby or in the Albert Heijn. Also centrally located to get all your groceries in one go.

Prices are not correct and drinks need to be replaced because they are too old And I think people should be more serious. Really delicious food. The business is run by a very nice couple. He in the kitchen, makes everything himself and she works at the counter. Delicious sambal, delicious shrimp, tasty spice. And the curry chicken sandwiches alone are worth coming back for. Highly recommended!

Super clean store and friendly owners, but unacceptable that the nasi was burned through twice in a short period of time. That you can actually smell it in the store and then a new portion is not made and you then come home with inedible food. Hasn't happened to any Chinese in my entire life.

Nice snack bar and they have good Surinamese sandwiches. The pepper is also very tasty! I can definitely recommend the char sui. The staff is friendly and fun with children. Unfortunately, the interior is a bit mediocre. It could be decorated a bit more cozily.
