No, sorry, but the biryani wasn't even edible! It was truly awful food. I would never order anything from here again.

The chicken was very tough and dry. I won't be going there again. The next day, my neighbor gave me some Indian food, which was fantastic. From now on, I'll be going to my neighbor's. ;)

Toller sehr aufmerksamer Service. Modernes Ambiente und sehr leckeres Essen. Wir hatten Lamm Curry und Chicken Masala. Auch die Weinkarte ist ansprechend. Kurzum ein toller Abend der uns sehr gut gefallen hat.

This place gets a solid 3.75/5. The ambience was amazing, the service was great, but the food did not meet my expectations. It was not undelicious but just was not aa spicy as I would have expected based on my experience of Indian cuisine from around the world. The service was great, with the employees being attentive and patient. Unfortunately, in some cases, they could not tell us how the food would be when we asked for more information on new foods we had never tried. The excuse was "I'm an intern so I don't know yet". Just a little recommendation, I think the proprietor could enhance value by ensuring new joiners try samples of the foods on the menu so they can be help with informing diners in case they ask. Other than that top place and I hope to visit some other time.

Had a wonderful meal at Hart van India last night. The flavours were authentic, the spices perfectly balanced and the dishes beautifully presented. From the butter chicken to the vegetarian curries – everything was fresh and full of flavour. The service was also friendly and attentive. You really feel welcome here. Delicious dinner with my wife! 2 x Vindaloo. 1 with chicken & 1 with lamb. Before that I ate a mix of starters that were all super tasty! Definitely recommended!

Just picked up butter chicken, beautiful tent, accidentally had a voucher that wasn't actually suitable for what I wanted to use it for, but she wanted to make an exception, so that's really great. The food is really delicious, ready quickly and also comes with a tasty papadum when you take it away! I really like things like that! (And very tasty) 10/10 recommended, this will be a regular pick-up address for us! 😃

Het kón gewoon niet kloppen, was onze eerste gedachte toen we op 'n dag bij het Hart van India naar binnen keken: centraal gelegen, sfeervol interieur, volop ruimte binnen, uitgebreide menukaart en desondanks betaalbare gerechten? Het kón gewoon niet kloppen. Maar het totale plaatje zag er toch wel aantrekkelijk uit. Dus met dat in ons achterhoofd reserveerden we online dan toch 'n plekje voor twee, en bezochten we het restaurant op een woensdagavond. In de aanloop naar ons bezoek kwamen we echter nog allerlei recensies tegen, en zie je wel! Commentaren over o.a. schijnbaar te kleine porties, smaakverschillen en lang wachten op... het thuisbezorgen. Oh wacht even, dit waren vooral opmerkingen over het thuisbezorgen. Hoe verzin je 't, 'echt eten' ga je vooral NIET thuis laten bezorgen. Dat doe je alleen met obligate pizza's of met ander 'snelvoer' uit een doos. Dan onze woensdagavond dus. Kort samengevat: ontvangst, zitruimte, gerechten, drinken en eindafrekening krijgen van ons een meer dan een dikke voldoende. Zowel op de sfeer, de smaak, de porties en het personeel was wat ons betreft niets op aan te merken. Echt 'n heerlijke (letterlijk en figuurlijk) avond gehad. Het kon dus wél kloppen, zo stelden we achteraf vast. Daarom, wat ons betreft gaan we voorlopig niet meer als vanzelfsprekend naar het ons vertrouwde en verderop gelegen Irodion (Συγγνώμη παιδιά). :-)) X X X Rien & Mirjam

I have been on multiple occasions as I really like Indian food. The atmosphere is quite nice with seating nearby the large windows, also there is more cosy area upstairs. The staff is okay, when I reserved through Social Deals I was told I have to only during the week which was not indicated in the app. When I wanted to select a different type of rice it was not possible. The starter soup is nice, anything else that is coated in pastry like the Samosas or the fish tastes the same and is quite dry inside. Main dish is really nice, portions are quite large and really filling. Lots of vegetarian options too. It is nice enough but it does not blow my mind.

Highly recommended! The food was delicious and there is a wide choice for people who don't like spicy food.

It's a pity that only 5 stars can be given! The place is truly amazing in terms of service, decor and, above all, food. We've been here twice to make sure they serve such good food both times. Even though I'm not a fan of Indian cuisine, I am absolutely in love with this restaurant. The staff is always smiling and willing to talk. I wish there were more places like this in the Netherlands!

Even though the Netherlands disappoints me culinaryly at every turn, this restaurant is one of the few exceptions. Amazing service, amazing food, very nice place and nothing else is needed. If anyone wants to experience an adventure with Indian food, I highly recommend it.

Zoals altijd zoeken wij waar wij ook zijn een Indiaas restaurant op. Dit keer was het Hart van India in Alkmaar. Uitgebreide menukaart, veel keus ook voor kinderen, vegetariërs en veganisten. Net als de review hiervoor slechte bediening, 1 ober met tulband(Punjabi) was leuk en de mevrouw die ons aan de gereserveerde tafel(boven in de hoek, het vergeethoekje) bracht. Tijdens het eten niemand langsgeweest voor een vraag als "wilt u wat drinken bestellen of smaakt het allemaal". Qua eten, smaak en hoeveelheid een dikke 8. Advies neem meer personeel aan voor in het weekend die vrolijker en gezelliger zijn, die weten dat klant koning is.

Locale accogliente come trovarsi a casa. Qualsiasi cibo che si scelga è veramente buono e deliziosamente profumato con le loro tipiche spezie senza essere esagerato. Pesce sa di pesce e carne sa di carne. Gentilissimi! Qualità e prezzo favorevoli. Da ritornare sicuramente

Tonight we had another delicious meal with friends at Hart van India. 4 different starters and 4 different main courses were chosen and shared between the four of us, all tasty and sufficient for the four of us. Friendly lady at the counter. I can only recommend Hart van India.

Delicious food, if you are in Alkmaar and fancy Indian food then this is a must.

Unfortunately it was disappointing. A beautiful thing in itself. Extensive menu with informative explanations of the dishes. We decided to try the vegetarian options. Little attention was paid to all dishes, e.g. wilted garnish for the veg mix starter (fried dry bites), the shahi paneer sauce was sickly sweet. This was the way it was supposed to be, according to the waiter. Leave half of it and we almost never do that. Shame.

Amazing food and really good service as well as recommendations!

The place is clean and spacious, the waiter was kind and the atmosphere in the place is calm with quiet and pleasant background music. We took several dishes, they arrived tasty and looked good. The portions are a bit small for our taste, but definitely satisfying. The prices are average, the average cost per diner per dish + drink is 30 euros.

Het eten was aan de prijzige kant, maar gelukkig wél erg lekker. Het personeel was vriendelijk maar de service liet te wensen over. Niet één keer kwam men vragen of we nog iets wilden bestellen, waardoor we zelf meerdere keren naar de bar moesten lopen om wat te vragen.

Pathetic Food ! Paneer Jalfrezi was too sweet like it was a sweet dish not savoury and we complained the manager said its chef’s wish how he wants to make it .

I have tried many Lamb Biryani in my life in and this is by far the best: it’s very well spiced, full of flavour and aroma but most importantly: it is incredibly juicy and moist! I will visit Alkmaar again just to eat this biryani. Don’t miss it if you ever visit this charming town.

Had food here for the first time. It was ready fifteen minutes after ordering. It was, in a word, delicious (paneer and curry), with real Indian flavors.

Based on delivery: Food is very tasty, but on the pricey side for eating at home. Tandoori Hariyali Lamb Tikka was bone dry and the lettuce was unfortunately wilted. Delivery is a drama: always 30 minutes late until now.

I am going to return here, I was searching for an Indian restaurant in the region of Alkmaar, This may be the restaurant that will turn into my favourite Indian place. Food was nicely spiced and the portions were fine of the main courses, the deserts could have been larger, but the latter doesn't affect the main dishes as the fill sufficiently not to have a big desert afterwards anyway. Super friendly people, keep up the good work.
