The four of us spent a wonderful evening here. Very friendly service. The food was truly delicious; we had a veggie curry, as well as chicken and lamb. We also liked that you could choose the spiciness yourself. If you don't like it that spicy, go for mild or very mild. I also really liked the mango lassi. The naan bread was really warm, seemed homemade, and there was a sufficient amount. The only thing we didn't like was the dessert, but it was exciting to try. The service was attentive, friendly, and authentic. The food also arrived quite quickly after ordering. Thank you so much, and I would definitely recommend it.

The food is very tasty, even though the dishes don't seem abundant, we were satisfied and happy. The desserts are delicious, the atmosphere is clean and pleasant. I will return without hesitation. The kindness and attention of the girls was also very important.

A very nice restaurant with an excellent menu. You can specify the spice level of your dishes. Also nice: you can order a mix of dishes for two or more people, allowing you to explore more of Indian cuisine. The service was extremely friendly. However, it's helpful if you speak English, as the staff speaks very little Dutch.

Extremly tasty and explosive mixes of flavour. I came as a tourist to alkmaar and did not expect to dive that deep into indian cuisine. The prices are more then fair and the waitress are attractive and Super friendly. I would visit alkmaar again just to eat there again. Go there and try the food. It is worth your time and money

All the other reviews say it all: this is a good restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. The dumplings (appetizer), biryani and mixed tandoori (main course), and the pistachio and mango ice cream (dessert) were delicious. This ice cream has a unique flavor and is truly different from the ice cream in other restaurants. So, definitely recommended. You can specify how spicy you want your dishes. We consider that a real plus, as we prefer not to eat too spicy. We chose mildly spicy, and it was perfect. We will definitely be back.

The lady who helped us was so sweet and enthusiastic. The food was delicious... definitely worth repeating.

We had a wonderful meal here! The Palak Paneer was good, and the Beef Madras Curry was perfectly prepared! We couldn't resist ordering a second helping. The appetizer, Onion Bajee, could have been a bit crispier. But we'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

Bediening was geweldig. Bij mijn reservering had ik een vraag gesteld, deze was gelezen en ingewilligd. Het eten was echt zalig. We gaan zeker nog een keer daar eten. Veel keuze vooral veel vegetarische keuzes. Echt heel lekker.

Very friendly and quick staff, a great selection of local dishes that were really good, especially since you can choose the spiciness of many dishes. Portions are generous. The ambiance is very nice and inviting, with small details that could perhaps be improved. All in all, an absolute recommendation if you're in Alkmaar.

Very tasty food. Tandorie and a Curry. Tasty dishes. Chose normal spiciness on the advice of the staff. Normal spiciness in India is often quite spicy, but normal spicy is not spicy. Service was good despite the fact that it was very busy. The acoustics were also good. Some of the staff only speak English.

We visited UIT today on a whim. We received a very friendly welcome and were seated without a reservation. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The great, well-organized menu is sure to offer something for everyone. The food is very good and superbly seasoned; it tastes simply wonderful. You can adjust the spiciness of each dish. The portions are more than ample and leave nothing to be desired. The service and friendliness are also very special. We are happy to recommend the restaurant, and I will be back on my next visit to Alkamaar.

On a Sunday evening, the two of us went to UitIndia again. Ordered the Chicken Tikki Madras, they know how to prepare this "standard" Indian dish very tastefully with fresh spices

We went here on a Monday evening, despite the restaurant being almost empty. We were welcomed very friendly and were led to a table. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was super tasty, we only had a main course with naan bread. For us this was more than enough! When we are in Alkmaar again, we will definitely go here again.

This was recommended as “quite tasty “ and it certainly is!! I had the Chicken Vindaloo and a mango lassie. Food was fantastic and service was great.

Delicious food. Flavor explosions in your mouth. Very nice quiet service and they think along with you. The vegetarian tahli is really recommended, so many different flavors and textures.

Last year, we were already very impressed by the excellent dishes. This year, the delicious food was confirmed again. Vegans will also find something to their liking here. It was simply delicious! I've rarely eaten such good panek paneer. It was probably the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to! I'd be happy to go back.

The food is fine, but 4 blunders by the service, not serious but cumulatively very irritating, had a great impact on our experience. The whining music added to the irritation.

We have been to Uit India 5 times. We really experience the food as food for the soul, it is so incredibly delicious food!! What we want to notice and find less pleasant is that the bill recently was much more expensive than normal. We suddenly paid for a second bowl of rice, while it is simply offered that you can order it, the first time we got papadums instead of naan bread (because it is gluten-free). The last few times we did not get these, no problem then we order them. But the last time we were there and ordered papadums the price went up a lot because of that. The food is great but it is not nice that without any announcement the price suddenly becomes much more expensive than the previous times.

We found the place through the Diner Cheque giftcard. The restaurant looks very cosy, warm and not to bright. The food was amazing and full of flavour. Spices are used perfectly and the advice on the spice grade is quite accurate. The staff is wonderful, friendly and will you help selecting your food. The most important part for us, was that waiting time on the food was faster than an average restaurant, which is wonderful!

Wir haben schon bei vielen guten indischen Restaurants gegessen in Köln und Umgebung und im Vergleich hierzu ist dieses indische Restaurant wirklich ausgezeichnet. Kann man nur empfehlen, tolle Würze, typisch indisch auch sehr scharf, Achtung bei der Auswahl ;-)! Mit Liebe gemacht!

Every time we are impressed by the taste palette of the various dishes, beautiful ingredients and Indian spices that continue to surprise your taste buds. Are you not vegetarian or vegan? With English it was very easy and pleasant on both sides. Delicious food with the desired spiciness :) Very central location. This place was a great Google hit!

Very, very good food (if you don't like it so spicy, you should choose "mild" rather than "medium" dishes). The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. In short.. A very good choice if you want to eat Indian food in Alkmaar. We would be happy to come back at the next opportunity.

A very nice discovery this evening during our stay in Alkmaar. We were looking for a good vegetarian restaurant and came across this restaurant which offers delicious dishes. Dishes that we all know but which are sublimated in this establishment. So, a butter chicken can be offered with a very good imitation meat, a tasty sauce, crispy, fragrant and tender samosas, without forgetting the incredible Naan! All with a warm, attentive welcome and service. Thank you so much

Probably the most delicious Indian food we’ve had in the Netherlands. Well spiced and flavoured. The traditional Nepalese chicken curry is the closest we’ve had to a South African Durban Chicken Curry. Friendly and welcoming staff. We’ll certainly be back!

Perfect meal. We are experienced eaters of Indian cuisine and ordered the hottest dish (Vindaloo). As it should be, we were warned about the spiciness (if you are not used to this you really can't eat this), but then we got it. Taste was perfect and as it should be. In terms of spiciness, we could have even handled the even hotter variant, but this was fine and in terms of flavors of the dishes (including the starters and side dishes) 100% as Indian cuisine should be.

Had dinner in this nice Indian restaurant in the city center of Alkmaar. Nice creamy and tasteful Paneer butter masala. Lovely staff and owner.

Had a delicious meal from the 3-course menu for €37. Excellent service and warmly served. Medium spicy was spicy enough for us. Naan bread with garlic was delicious as were the chicken and lamb curries.

The dining atmosphere in this restaurant is good. And the service is also good. Of course there is bit of waiting time after ordering the food, but it's okay. Coming to the main topic of food, I really don't find the real Indian flavors. We tried couple of items, where we just liked the Mixed Tandoori Chicken from Non Veg Main course. Apart from that we didn't find anything really good. Also there will be Basmati rice will be served with each Main course, but that's not the Basmati rice what we usually get in India, what we felt like the regular Basmati rice that we get in super markets here. So I again missed my Indian flavors in it.

Unfortunately, the home-made food failed for a cozy family dinner of 6. But thanks to the helpful owner from India, he provided delicious dishes and an incredibly fast delivery. The service is top and the food is incredibly tasty and varied. We enjoyed it!

As a tourist from Germany you feel welcome and comfortable here. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, the waiters are friendly and the food is tasty. Another particularly positive aspect is the effort to please customers from other countries by offering cards in other languages.

It would be nicer and more familiar if this happened as standard at checkout 1.5 hours after the review, the owner called to say that we could send a tag to still get a 10% discount! I have eaten on site and ordered takeaway several times: butter chicken & korma lamb with naan and I have really enjoyed a delicious meal every time. 100% recommended, and that is partly due to the friendliness and accuracy of the people in the service.
