Honestly the best sushi place in Almere. Also for what you get?! Amazing!! And it's great that delivery is faster now too. Tip: still, always order in advance or use their app just to be sure.

I've been waiting for my food for 2 hours already; called them after an hour and a half and they said, "Yes, it's on its way." By now, another half hour has passed. Reviews here clearly show that they have quite a bit of trouble with food delivery. I'll order elsewhere from now on; I thought it was worth a try. A carrier pigeon would have been faster.

I always order from Hayai Sushi, they have the best sushi and the service is top-notch, the staff are very friendly! Today I got a little extra from them, which I think is very sweet 🫶🏼

Everything people said before me is true… the delivery comes late (more than an hour late..). At that time the food is cold and mushy. I’ve called the restaurant 20 times in total while my order was already delayed, no one picked up, they either hung up or I was sent to voicemail. Terrible service.

Ordered sushi and let them know it was for a children's party. I wanted it at 5 PM, and it arrived exactly on time. I received a free dessert, and also a free sushi roll for every €15, so I had €50. So much sushi for all the children, etc. Great, and deliciously fresh. Thank you.

The food was really tasty. It tastes fresh and usually arrived on time. And if not, they call. I get my sushi here almost monthly, and it's also great when I go to study. Student box great value for what's included.

I ordered through their website instead of Thuisbezorg because I wanted 2 free fried ebi sushi rolls as my order is above €30. Out of 5 times I ordered from them only 1 time wasn't a pleasant one. The rest was good. Out of 5 times, 3 times I received complimentary red velvet cheesecake. It's was good gesture and delicious cake. I usually do order to be delivered asap, not the allotted time. Because I observed they deliver faster. A pleasant sushi restaurant as it's halal and satisfy my craving for sushi. After each order, a discount code will issue to you via email to be use for your next order. Personally, I would recommend this restaurant.

Last week I had to wait well over an hour and 15 minutes for my order. Only after much insistence did I receive a discount code from Hamza as compensation, but it doesn't even work. Very disappointing!

Dramatic. I placed an order at 5:30 that should have been delivered at 7:00, but it didn't arrive until 8:00. I called at 19:10 and was told that it had just left the building (10-minute drive). The food was cold and every piece of sushi tasted the same.

Great sushi restaurant to order from! Always super tasty, you really get value for money here. We have also received a free piece of cake with our order several times now, top place!

I order from there often, but today I had to wait more than 2 hours for my food, and after calling a few times I got answers like "it will be out the door in 5 minutes!" or "they will be here any moment." I find it disrespectful; just be honest about what's going on. My child was supposed to go to sleep at 7:30 without Susan.

I would advise everyone to eat here. We walked in and there were warriors all over the place working on Eid. And despite that, the food was more than top-notch and the service even better.

Very bad! Delivery time was not met, 30 minutes later than promised. The order was supposed to include free posie spring rolls (1puls 1 gratis), but I did not receive them. The Yakitori spring rolls and shrimp were cold. The sushi itself was poorly seasoned and also much too cold. All in all, I feel ripped off; I advise everyone against ordering anything here.

Taste was not good! Didn’t like it at all. Plus kind of expensive for these small rolls. Some of them was already falling apart. Wouldn’t definitely not buying again.

I do not recommend this place to anyone. I ordered sushi from them, and it was a very bad experience. I asked them to deliver the order at a specific time, and they said it wouldn’t be a problem. However, when the delivery time came, the sushi never arrived. I tried calling them many times, but no one answered. When someone finally picked up the phone, they said they didn’t understand anything and then hung up. I am extremely dissatisfied with this service and the way they treat their customers.

Bad. Delivery time is over 2 hours. When you call, they hang up. After calling three times, they promise we'll be there within 10 minutes. They didn't. I wish I'd read the reviews beforehand. Although, if you do read the reviews, I'm glad I didn't eat anything. A terrible place.

Ordered at 18.55 at 22.24 still no food. I live 5 minutes walking distance. The employer just says "the order is on its way" ruined my dinner and evening .

Yesterday, I spent €150 on this disgusting company because I had guests over. The food was inedible. It seemed spoiled. I also found a hair in my sushi. Unbelievable. I'll never eat here again. First and last time.

I ate at the restaurant today, and this is what I got. I told the employee, and he said this can happen at any restaurant.

I need to edit my opinion. After a while I’ve noticed that a lot in this place has changed for better. Sushi is top, always ordering from this place, huge recommendation.

Hair in the sushi, absolutely disgusting. Never experienced this before while ordering. I had ordered from this restaurant before, and it was fine beforehand. Very unsanitary and disappointing.

Worst delivery experience ever – cold food, rude staff, and no accountability whatsoever. Don't order from here if you expect any kind of service or respect. My order arrived 45 minutes late, the food (the crispy roll and spring rolls) was cold and soggy, and the delivery driver couldn't find the address despite having clear instructions. Instead of an apology, I received rude responses and total indifference on the phone. I then had to walk to another address because otherwise, it wouldn't work… What makes it even worse: the restaurant refuses any compensation or refund, as if this was all my fault. No apology, no solution, nothing. Unprofessional and disrespectful from start to finish. I will never order from Hayai Sushi again – and I advise everyone to do the same. There are plenty of other places that do take quality and customer service seriously.

I looked at my €80 order for a second and there was a larva and an aphid in it. I did get good, clear communication from the manager, but I won't be returning.

1st time ordered from them, it was delivered quite quickly within 30 minutes only on the lettuce leaf there was a spider in the sushi container which they can't do much about, maybe wash the lettuce leaves from now on but with ease I quickly got a new container only I thought the seaweed and the chicken were quite dry so unfortunately I didn't really enjoy it but the service was great!

The fried sushi was a disaster. Tasted like an oliebol, fat and thick pieces.

Ordered for the first time today, had a very busy shift, so no time to cook. I order food at 21:00 with a waiting time of 15-40 minutes. At 22:30 I still haven't received anything. It says online that they are actually closed, luckily someone picks up. Indicates that someone is on their way. 10 minutes later I get a call back, it turns out that something went wrong with my order and they are now on their way again. 23:00 still no food. In the meantime, my appetite has disappeared and I would like my money back.

I give 5 stars because I know how difficult it can be to run a catering establishment. Despite that, I waited 2 hours for my entire order without any compensation. I understand that misunderstandings can sometimes arise due to crowds, but this can be compensated with your guests. You guys are really great in general. Super quality sushi and friendly delivery staff. Despite today, I am still very satisfied with your branch and wish you all the best.

Today I ordered some tempura ebi rolls and unfortunately it was disappointing! Unfortunately I didn't have what they sell. Instead of sesame seeds, I had fried onions with a sauce on top. And it wasn't tasty! Also, the rice fell apart before I could dip it in the soy. Really bizarrely bad, never again.

The sushi was really delicious! The crispy sushi was nice and warm when it arrived. It arrived quickly and was also very affordable. The sushi also looked super nice and fresh. Definitely recommended!

After more than 2 hours and 3 calls I canceled the order. Very unprofessional behavior by the staff. Let's hope I get my €99 back.

You are nothing but fraudsters, and I demand a full refund for the order that was never delivered. I am writing to express my extreme frustration with the delivery of my sushi order. We placed the order at 7:00 PM, and by 8:00 PM, the app showed the order status as “Delivered,” but no delivery was made. We waited a bit longer, and by 9:00 PM, I began calling Hayai Sushi. No one answered the phone, so I kept calling 8 times. Finally, I got a response and was told that they would only start preparing our order in 30 minutes. They promised delivery in about an hour. However, even after an hour and then two, our order still had not been delivered. By 11:30 PM, we went to bed without receiving our order. The order was never delivered, and when I tried to get a refund, Hayai Sushi refused to return the money for an order they never delivered. Additionally, I want to point out that on Thuisbezorgd, you are modifying and deleting reviews. I have no intention of ever ordering from you again, as this behavior is absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Waited another half hour for my order. There will certainly not be a second time.

Ordered sushi here yesterday, waited more than 3 hours. Called several phones and no one answered. When they finally answered, they asked what time it would be delivered and the boy on the phone said the delivery person would leave in 10 minutes. He indicated that it was very busy. Which is understandable on Valentine's Day but 3 hours is ridiculous. After this we waited another hour and in the end the food never arrived and we didn't hear anything again.

I ordered at 18:30 and it was delivered at 21:16.

Ordered food at 7:14 pm. Still waiting for my food at the moment. It is now 10.18 pm.. Just 3 hours later.. My appetite is gone and most likely my money too. Tried calling several times, but no answer. Leaving voicemail is not even an option, because the inbox is full! You guys don't even deserve that one star... Wow! Really ridiculous! Update... 00.17 the doorbell rings... 5 hours later!!! "Please enjoy your meal!" It is said when opening the door. "Dude, you're 5 hours late?" "Yes, sorry it was busy..." Really scandalous, without a single phone call or message. And then having the nerve to ring the bell 5 hours later... Never again...

Delivery was 20 minutes later, the avocado in the poke bowl (little salmon for 11.50 euros) was unfortunately overripe (see photos) as well as in the 3 boxes we ordered = overripe! You cannot and should not sell that, disappointing, only the Salmon Lovers Box was fair to good, hence 2 stars. We had indicated 1 box without sesame, but they did not add sesame for the entire order. Price-quality ratio is unfortunately not okay.... a real shame, because it used to be better!

I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences ordering in, but this place takes the top spot by a mile. Ordered at 5:30 with the app saying it takes 25-45 minutes. Fine. Between then and 7:20 I called twice to follow up expressing my irritation, only to be told ‘it’s busy, we apologize’. At 7:44 I called once more to cancel, upon which I was told they already canceled as they did not tolerate my tone on the phone. Absolutely insane. For the life of me don’t understand why these people chose the service industry. They don’t own up to the fact they cannot handle high volume, they just take your order and let you wait. Reading the food ratings below however, I think I was spared a worse experience. Thanks Hayai sushi, for not delivering my order!

I get sushi here once or twice a month, and yesterday I threw away an entire container because the "tuna" in the sushi was not fresh tuna like I'm used to, but canned tuna and you pay quite a bit extra for that, I'm still going. order once and file an official complaint and if this continues I will look for another sushi supplier

The delivery time was 45 min more than expected delivery time. When I called the restaurant and started speaking English the guy on the phone hang up on me when I tried to give him my address of delivery. Afterwards my friend who speaks Dutch called them and they said to wait 10-15 min more and finally sushi arrived. Other rolls tasted fine and weren’t small as others restaurants make them. I had hot rolls in my order and they were not hot at all..

The food was delicious, but unfortunately we had to wait more than an hour for delivery. When we called for the first time to ask where our order was, they just hung up without explanation. Hopefully customer service will improve in the future
