The fries are SO good, the portions are generous. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. A must-try, a real treat!!!

There were seats available, but not many; it was first-come, first-served. However, the canal was right outside, and many people were leisurely eating their meals there. The fries were freshly fried, crispy and delicious! The staff recommended the truffle mayonnaise, which was quite tasty.

The fried meatballs are highly recommended! Like the "beef-flavored patties" They're surprisingly not greasy, and the accompanying mustard sauce is just right! We chose the truffle mayonnaise fries. Overall, the fries here are absolutely delicious! They're crispy and absorb the salt and sauce easily. They're crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not greasy at all! They stay crispy even after cooling slightly! Each place has its own unique flavor! This is the only place I've tried the meatballs. The crust is also refreshing and effortless!

The wait was quite long (about 10 minutes). There were no numbered plates issued, so I had to listen carefully to the staff's calls. I ordered the truffle mayonnaise flavor. Compared to Manneken Pis, the fries here are healthier (?), less salty, and a good portion size (a medium for two people). Salt is available at the table for you to add as much as you want. As for the sauce...it was okay, but a bit greasy towards the end. 😵

I'm giving it 5 stars, but I have to say this: the regular fries, Belgian mayonnaise, etc., are good, but they're fries, so don't overdo it. You could eat a hamburger for these prices.

Had Friet Atelier before trying this and they’re totally different level. The fries are so dry and hard while the sauce is too little for a portion. Not friendly service even no queue. Will not come back again.

Our family is divided on favorite friet spots. This is one of them. You might have to wait in line. Apparently in Amsterdam, people who don’t dispose of their trash properly (inside a closed waste bin) will get seven years of bad luck! Who knew!

The staff were welcoming and nice. I had an order of bitterballen that was quite good. I think most people come here for the fries, but I didn't try them. They had a small AC unit which was refreshing. Prices were reasonable.

Here's everything they want to try: fabel friet, but this was the turning point for me. The place is quite large, the guys are very kind, and the prices are really great.

They said it would take 5 minutes but it took longer than 10. I looked and there were piles of fries, but I don't really know why it's taking so long... Since there were already people waiting in the store, people who came in didn't know what was going on and were just standing there together, and it wasn't organized. They didn't call my number or give me a receipt, but I was told to wait, so I figured it would be my turn after the person in front of me got theirs. But now that I've actually started eating, I don't even know why I have to wait in line like this.

Very tasty fries. The prices for the fries are fair. The two of us shared a medium fries as a lunchtime snack, and it was plenty. You can choose from a variety of sauces. There are about five seats outside the restaurant and another six inside. Super friendly service 👍

Excellent fries! Two years ago in Amsterdam, we tried the ones from Manneken Pis and House of Fries. These are by far the best!!! The ones from Vleminckx looked tired (undercooked and too long). I recommend them (with the Joppy sauce, of course).

I had a cheese tart and medium fries with cheese sauce for 10 euros. It was very tasty and a good portion. We sat outside by the river and enjoyed our treats. For that money, I would definitely come back.

I often work in Amsterdam, and we always get our Friday afternoon fries here. Simply the best you can get. Deliciously crispy and nice and hot. The people behind the counter are always friendly and pay close attention to who's ordering what. It's just a shame about the pushy French...

Came across this while at Lourens! Decided to give them a shot later and have to say I really liked the fries. Got the large option with the Samurai sauce and it was really good. The sauce was perfectly balanced in terms of spiciness. The quantity was also quite a lot! Easily shareable between 2-3 people!
