I ordered 1 prawn fish and chips. It was very tasty, nice guys serving who show a big friendly smile to every customer.

Tasty cod and fish salad. I found the paella rather on the salty side and the pieces of squid (I think) in it were tougher than rubber, so impossible to chew.

I was here on Saturday, July 4th. I had one small kibbeling and a large portion of fries. I was served by a young man who was very nice and helpful, but my advice is that they could work a bit faster. The fries were tasty, the kibbeling was cooked a little too long but still fine.

Ordered a small portion of kibbeling with ravigotte sauce. Fish is expensive at the moment, but I still found 7.20 a bit much. Especially for kibbeling that was fried too long and served with the wrong sauce, namely remoulade… I’ll look for a better fishmonger after all…

I ordered 2 herrings and asked for them to be cut into pieces. What struck me was that one employee was not wearing gloves. Afterward, she handled other orders without washing her hands first. That did not give me a pleasant feeling from a hygienic point of view. I understand that gloves are not always mandatory, but at a fish stall, I do expect hygiene to be handled carefully to prevent cross-contamination. That is why I wanted to bring this to your attention.

Had delicious tempura shrimp! Ordering via the screen works great!

Fish and chips lekkerbek, sometimes the crispy greasy batter is just a bit more than necessary. But usually good. Hygienic. Shop is in my top 10.

My order was initially delivered to someone else, even though I had put my name Bram on it. And I almost handed it to two girls at a table. I had ordered a salmon sandwich and it was delicious, really fresh. Unfortunately, the battered fish I ordered didn't taste very fresh. Very crispy and tasted like it came from the freezer. Unfortunately, this was the last time for me. The mayo didn't seem very fresh to me either.

I ordered kibbeling, but it didn't seem very fresh to me. It was a big disappointment. I also ordered calamari and fries. These were okay, but I wouldn't say amazing. The kibbeling was the main item I was looking forward to. So this is also the last time I'm coming here.

These days, you no longer pay by weight for your fried fish. A large fried fish costs the same as a small one. It's strange that you have to pay the same for a smaller piece. So, the fish is expensive, so to speak.

They didn't want to open oysters 20 minutes before closing. Adjust your closing time to 5:30 PM.

We ate here on January 23, 2026, and ordered a mackerel sandwich and an eel sandwich. Both were very good and tasted fresh. Unfortunately, the medium portion of kibbeling was very disappointing. There was hardly any fish in it and it was mostly greasy dough. I'll definitely come back for fish sandwiches, but I won't be ordering kibbeling again.

Squid rings are anything but fresh, just frozen. They don't live up to the title of fish specialist. The fish and chips kibbeling have a completely disproportionate ratio of fish to fries. A whole lot of fries with a few pieces of kibbeling.

Every time my best friend and I go there! Never again Henk Kraan. Does it really have to be this way? They give us dirty looks and brush us off. Yes, we're Moroccan professionals, but the way they treat us? Forcefully, as if the employee is still dealing with a migraine from the fish market while her cross is on the wrong side. And the gambas this—and now the last—time, completely doused in a kilo of salt and still completely covered in oil. I returned them after one bite and didn't want anything else. I don't want a refund either. I don't trust this place one bit. If you're far-right, go there by all means. If you're sociable, give Henk Kraan the wide berth. And then there's the price, even higher than Ghana's gross national product. I hope they can't afford the rent at The Mall soon and get lost.

Ordered kibbeling, lekkerbek, and herring. They were delicious and fresh. You can also order fish salads and other fish products here. You can eat in, but ordering through the kiosk ensures faster service :-)

It looks like a snack bar but it tastes delicious. Fresh fish and other great things are cooked directly. Nice staff who knows what it is doing. Until next time

Kibbeling gehaald en betaald. Thuis gekomen was het niet voor consumptie vatbaar: taai, smakeloos, vet en kortom vies. Was geen vis te herkennen. Zonde van het geld. Nooit meer Kraan! Gelukkig hebben wij een kliko.

Hier als eerste zee onvriendelijk geholpen door een vrouw. Was er iets naar vijven broodje Haring hadden ze niet. Toen ik de kibbelingen had besteld kreeg ik een kant en klare ravigottr saus zeer onsmakelijk maar laat but not least moddervette smaakloze kibbelingen van Polak terwijl ik kabeljauw had besteld. Voor mij nooit meer.

2.75 for a very mediocre herring (on the hard side) is really too expensive. Aldi's pre-packed herrings are better and much cheaper. But yes, the rent and that gaudy interior must of course be recouped.

Had dinner here at the "Westfield mall" location. Tempura shrimp menu with fries. Here we order and pay at the kiosk and pick up at the counter where we were kindly helped. We didn't have to wait very long for our food. Delicious fresh shrimps with perfect fries. The portion was more than enough! Nice, neat, spacious store with a seating area where you can take a break from shopping. If we go shopping here again, this fish shop will probably be our choice again. So we went back that same day for a second drink. During our second visit, the alarm went off and we were asked to leave the building via the speakers.

Kibbeling tastes like oliebollen.

I can't say anything about the food, so I remain neutral with the number of stars I give. The reaction to this about the rude woman who works there is also my experience. I wanted to know if they also sold fried shrimps there and I asked madam, do you also sell fried shrimps? She doesn't even look at me, says yes very curtly and immediately walks away. Well, I didn't feel hungry anymore and I left. I don't want to be treated in such a horrible way when I think I want to go out for a nice meal. I don't know what is going on with this woman, maybe she is not feeling well, but this way I would send her on holiday for a while. This is how you lose customers.

Nice meal. It's just a shame that they don't sell a kibbeling sandwich... Seems like a fairly popular item to me. Also on the pricey side, but it's worth the money :)

Last Sunday my beautiful girlfriend and I had a nice time at the mall in Leidschendam. We had a big hangover and were craving a delicious fatty herring. However, when I ordered a herring at the Henk Kraan fish shop, I was terribly embarrassed by the rather grumpy woman behind the counter. I kindly asked if the herring could be cut into pieces, but it seemed as if the woman didn't feel like it at all. With a rude attitude she said: "You don't eat herring like that, man?". This comment, coupled with her agitated behavior, was humiliating. In addition to the inappropriate comment about how you should eat herring, there was also no acid available to eat with the herring. This only added to the disappointment of the experience. Agitated and without any passion, she cut the herring and plunked it into a container, throwing a piece of herring onto the counter and uncharitably placing it in the container. What also concerned me was that she cut the herring without gloves, which showed a lack of hygiene and care. I chose not to express my displeasure directly, but I thought it was very rude. This is not the way to treat customers. I found it humiliating to be treated like this, especially since I was there to spend my money on a product. It is disappointing to see that a company like fish shop Henk Kraan tolerates such behavior from its staff. I hope steps are taken to improve customer service so others don't have to have the same negative experience. All in all, my visit to Henk Kraan fish shop was a real disappointment. I won't be returning here anytime soon and wouldn't recommend it to others looking for friendly and respectful service.

2 gourmands and 1 herring, 15.25 euros, but what if it was still edible? Herring was way too salty, gourmet cod had too much batter on it, so the oil was dripping from it. So the person who bakes the fish doesn't know anything about it, especially cod is lightly coated with flour batter. So it was the first and last time I ate fish there

A very nice little fish shop. I took a group of teenagers there for an early lunch. The Kibblings were delicious! I ordered only for the kids, but the lady was so kind to give me a free portion. Many thanks!

Had a tasty meal at various fish shops. This tasteless cod beak (I'll leave it out) took the cake. No taste at all and rubbish. Then I think €2.75 per ounce is quite a bit on the high side. From now on it will be Simonis again. .

Nice thing. No price list anywhere to be found other than on the ordering column. Ordered a portion of kibbeling. Almost 7 euros for a few pieces of white fish with sauce. Too expensive for what they offer.

Portion of kibbeling was really inedible, especially a thick crust with a lot of fat. The fish in it wasn't even cod, while you would expect that for that price. Paying extra for sauce is fine, but this was a very meager dollop. While you should just serve this instead of paying extra. A shame because the place is nice to sit for a while

Altijd een topper geweest en nog steeds goed kwaliteit vis...en diverse... In Scheveningen was ik ook regelmatig. Nu voor mij op loop afstand ..toppie..

Vis was deze keer slecht bereid bagger vet .mijn dochter had een gebakken schol en die dreef in het vet op het bord . Kom er nooit meer

De vis is nog wel, maar de porties zijn een stuk kleiner geworden!

Ik kreeg de door mij bestelde garnalenkroket met broodje in een servet in mijn handen gedrukt. De garnalen heb ik niet kunnen ontdekken. Een prullenbak ook niet. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Het is midden in de nieuwe haring tijd maar vishandel Henk Kraan verkoopt geen haring omdat ze geen tijd hebben om ze schoon te maken en dat terwijl er maar een handje vol klanten zat te eten en alleen ik voor de toonbank stond. Blijkbaar zit er meer handel in de fish & chips maar zet dan snackbar boven de zaak

Heerlijke verse vis! Vriendelijke en snelle bediening.

Zeer schone viszaak met zitplaatsen en een fonteintje waar je na het nuttigen van je visje(s) je handen kan wassen. Het verse (en luxe) visassorti was voorheen groot incl. kant en klare maaltijden. De vitrine lag voorheen vol met al dat lekkers. Helaas zag ik de laatste keer dat de helft van het verse lekkers was vervangen door frituurvissen in allerlei soorten en maten. Wellicht is dat wat het winkelende publiek het liefste wilt, maar de sjeu van die viszaak is er nu wel af. En ik ben mijn inspiratiebron kwijt. Had 4 (actie)haringen besteld, maar kreeg de korenwijn er niet bij. Er leek een vermoeide medewerkster te staan. De zaak zat vol en er stonden slechts twee medewerkers rond 15u. Gelukkig smaakte de Hollandse Nieuwe nog wel prima, Al waren de haringen minder vet en romig dan vorig jaar en was één van de vier haringen steenkoud. Voor een verse goed schoongemaakte haring zit je hier goed.

Lekkere vis en vriendelijk personeel .

Kabeljauw kibbeling echt veel te vettig, jammer. Zalm slaatje was goed aangekleed, ook daar was t sausje overbodig.

Tempura was dik en ijzer hard. Kibbeling was vettig. Sauzen waren smakeloos. De baas moet iets doen.

Goede service en kwaliteit vis

Overheerlijke kibbeling, zowel de gewone als de pittige thaise, met een lekker glaasje wijn, een geniet momentje. Ontzettend vriendelijke bediening

Goede haring en lekkerbek van kabeljauw gegeten. Vlotte en attente service in een keurige en schone viswinkel.

Hele lekkere Nieuwe haring voor een schappelijke prijs en tevens vriendelijke en deskundige bediening.

Wat een uitstekende tent ! Lekkere kibbeling en prima friet. Ga hier zeker vaker naartoe. Echt een aanrader !!

Naar mijn ervaring mag je altijd top kwaliteit verwachten bij Henk Kraan, tot op heden ben ik nog nooit teleurgesteld. Vooral de Fish and Chips is aan te raden!

Zeer mooie zaak met zeer uitnodigende vitrine. Uitmuntend uitgestald. Het eten is ook van een uitstekende kwaliteit niets dan lof voor deze zaak.

After my first review I am sorry to say now that Henk Kraan is no longer in our price range. Going through the roof.... After reading some mixed reviews we went to buy some tuna. Ended up with more than that. What a great assortment. We bought 2 tuna steaks, squid in oil and two shrimp 'kroketten' on a bun. Never had such good tuna in this country. The quality of all products was outstanding. Reason to go back. Friendly staff. Not cheap, but that would be ridiculous for this quality product.

Very nice place for a quick fish snack at the mall. We love their Kibbeling.

Vorige week tonijn tataki en zalm sashimi afgehaald: in één woord uitstekend. Vooral de zalm was heel zacht, kakelvers en bijzonder smakelijk.

Super vers heerlijke zalm gegeten en ook het terplekke gegeten broodje sprot en ook de tempura garnalen waren heerlijk !

Ik kwam er als kind al en nu kom ik er nog steeds maar dan met mijn eigen gezin, die alleen maar vis van Henk Kraan willen. Gezellig personeel en het aanbod is heel groot en vooral heel lekker! Dus ben je een keer in de westfiel mall, gaat een lekker visje eten daar bij die toppers!

Ik schrijf liever niet snel iets negatiefs hier. maar ik kan hier niet omheen dit was ronduit teleurstellend. Paling in een plastic bakje gooien alsof het een frikadel is en ins stukjes hakken met een aardappel schilmes. Visfriet die nog vis nog friet was en kibbeling..... als het een gebakken zemelap was met een flinke korst er omheen geloof ik het ook. Dat alles werd geserveerd/gepresenteerd door 3 zeer onvriendelijke vrouwen die duidelijk geen plezier in hun werk hadden en niet wisten wat ze aan het doen waren. Nogmaals, ik schrijf niet snel zo negatief maar wat een domper was dit zeg
