Herberg De Drie Linden in Wijk 01 Drunen

The atmosphere is always great at De Drie Linden. A downside is that there's always a shortage of staff outside. They try really hard, but as a customer, you have to beg for their attention. If it were my place, I'd definitely increase the number of servers outside. Oh yeah, and personally, I prefer warm apple pie to cold, but that's just a matter of personal preference.

Nice terrace, but they don't have any plant-based milk, only cow's milk. Too bad.

Ordered a cappuccino after a walk on Sunday. What a disappointment...so watery, and for that price. When I mentioned it, the response was...I'll pass it on.

Lovely place with a nice playground for children. The food was delicious, but the portions were small and the soup was lukewarm. The wait for food was exceptionally long. The appetizer platter came with herb butter but no bread. A question about this to the staff was never answered.

Pricey coffee. We ordered a coffee and a double espresso, but they tasted identical—equally strong and clearly machine-made.

It's wonderful to sit outside with your four-legged friend. You're right in the dunes. The food is good, not outstanding. But there are definitely things on the menu that make lunch special. It's definitely recommended.

🐾 Dune walk & lunch on a sunny Friday On a random sunny Friday afternoon, we decided to go out—with the dog on the scooter towards the dunes. After a pleasant walk, we took a short break for lunch. For us: A simple lunch to relax. For the dog: A bowl of water was politely offered. 🌤️ Atmosphere: It was remarkably quiet for a Friday afternoon. I suspect it's considerably busier here on Sundays. A relaxing moment in a natural setting, ideal for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle.

Waffels and coffee is highlight. Lovely ambiance.

Stopped by for a cup of coffee. Had a latte. It came from a vending machine like the ones in hospitals.

We ate here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times we enjoyed the terrace, which has several seating areas and lovely outdoor furniture. A lovely location, very friendly staff, and delicious food.

This café/restaurant is located on a cycling route, and the terrace is inviting. We ordered lunch, which consisted of two stacked brown bread sandwiches topped with three eggs and lettuce. It was beautifully presented, but difficult to eat because of the attractive but slightly small plate. Everything tasted great.

Great place for a nice lunch, to end a hike in the dune forest, or just a place for the kids to play. One of the best for the latter; the central location and large play area makes it ideal for the outdoor parent, and there are great hikes for kids of all ages in the area. Pros: Easy to get to, large parking nearby, good food, good service. Great spot for kids, with skelters, bikes, large play area all within the grounds. Cons: on busy days it's REALLY busy, so expect a bit of a wait. Small patio means first come first served. Popular location.

MOST EXPENSIVE COFFEE EVER! If you are really looking for an expensive cup of coffee, you have come to the right place. Okay, maybe as long as you stay within the beaten track it will be ok but we ordered a Flat White (for the uninitiated a cappuccino with a double shot of espresso) and a double espresso. Together with some apple pie I had to pay a total of €22. When I asked, it turned out that this was certainly not the pie (2x €4.90) but the Flat White turned out to be no less than €6.70 and the double espresso €5.60. Ouch! That's even more expensive than at an average airport. Well, so I chose it myself so no whining I thought but especially the fact how the clerk reacted to my comment that I thought it was quite a lot to pay almost €7 for a coffee I found very disappointing. No understanding or reaction to my surprise at all. He simply could not put it in the cash register otherwise were his words. So, paid and despite the fact that they serve very tasty apple pie here and that we came here very regularly, this nice coffee stop will definitely be skipped from now on……

At the Drie Linden they have their hands full with an almost empty terrace. After signaling to the staff several times, we were completely ignored. Then we cycled on to De Rustende Jager a little further on. The terrace there was full, but we were helped immediately.

Na 10 minuten zijn wij maar doorgefietst naar De Rustende Jager een stukje verderop. Daar zat het terras vol, maar werden wij direct geholpen.

Our experience at the edge of the Loonse en Drunense Dunes Last week we went here after a nice walk in nature. It was quite busy, which we understand given the nice weather. Nevertheless, we would like to share a few points about our experience with the service. When we arrived, there was no more room outside, so we decided to sit inside. Shortly afterwards we tried to give our order with a hand gesture to an employee, who clearly saw us but completely ignored us. We let it be - after all, it was busy. Not much later a younger waiter came by. When we gave him a signal, he immediately came to us and kindly took our order. That went well. After the first round we wanted to order something else. Unfortunately, the young man was no longer around, so we tried to order again from the same employee from earlier. We smiled kindly and made it clear again that we wanted to order something. She looked at us, but just walked past without any reaction. We found that strange, especially since we were sitting right by the door and she was standing there doing nothing. We waited quietly, hoping that someone would come by. After a while, we saw that all the employees were slowly standing by the bar. Because we were so close, my husband didn't have to walk to the bar. He spoke in a slightly firmer voice towards the employees to indicate that we would like to order something. They all looked at us, and the owner eventually came over to take the order himself and apologized. We certainly appreciate that. We understand that it was busy, and that is not a problem. But it would be nice if in such cases they just said: "I'll be right over to you." Then you feel seen as a guest and not like you don't matter. 😅 All in all, it was a mixed experience: the place is beautiful, we enjoyed the surroundings, and some of the employees were friendly and attentive. But there is definitely room for improvement in communication and customer focus.

Had a lovely lunch! The service was friendly. Not being able to order from the person who brings the drinks is always a turn-off for me. You are referred to a colleague who then makes you wait a long time. A bit of a shame, but again, it doesn't detract from the tasty dishes.

We dachten even lekker iets te eten op het terras, uiteindelijk de keuze gemaakt voor de runderburger met frietjes. Na 10 minuten kwam een vriendelijke serveerster de drankjes en eten opnemen. 15 minuten later kwam onze burger die rechtstreeks uit de koelcel kwam (wss voorgebakken) hij was steenkoud na dat deze terug gestuurd was en na 10 minuten weer terug kwam was hij wel warm en kompleet doorgebakken en de friet nou dat was helemaal een ramp, die leek wel meerdere malen opgebakken en taai. Ben zelf al 40 jaar werkzaam in de keuken en weet dat er altijd wel iets mis kan gaan, maar dit is echt een gebrek aan leiding in de keuken.

Bad nature gate. Grumpy old owner. They don't want to think along yet and open a parasol for a baby when the weather is very sunny. Staff went to ask, but did not come back with an answer and ignored you. Stupid staff. Not child friendly and also had to wait a long time before drinks were served. Don't go here with kids. As another review also said, there is also a lot of smoking around children. Not recommended

Beautiful stop with a Brabant atmosphere

Enjoyed a delicious meal and a drink after a lovely forest/dune walk. It is lovely to sit on the terrace in the sun. The terrace was full, so we had to wait a little longer to interact with the wait staff, but that didn't spoil the fun. Food tastes good, portions are also very good. So recommended 👍🏼

Friendly service and well located for the start of a cycling or walking route. Lots of parking in the morning around 10:30 am on a nice day, if you arrive later it will be more difficult.

The weather was nice in March, we sat outside on the terrace and had something to eat and drink after walking through the dunes

Five stars for lunch, and delicious flammkuchen with salmon and a Pinsa, both tasted excellent. The staff was fast and friendly. In short, we enjoyed ourselves, which was of course supported by the wonderful weather.

Herberg de drie Linden ligt naast het Nationale park Loonse en Drunense Duinen. Na een mooie wandeling met je hond in het losloopgebied kun je uitstekend lunchen bij de Drie Linden. Heerlijk eten en een uitstekende bediening.

On a sunny day on a nice terrace. The card looks neat and good. Sufficient choice. Waiting time at a full terrace can be at least 45 minutes. Service is good. No time to ask if it tastes good, but that may be due to the crowds. Highly recommended for me. Especially if you also include the playground.

Had a lovely lunch with the family after a walk in the Drunense Duinen. The advantage is that your dog is welcome. Small downside: the poffertjes were not fresh.

We came for a lunch. Croquettes with brown bread. The croquettes once again had real pulled pork in them. The rest was reasonable on the plate. A little salad and a cup of mustard. The service was reasonable. There was someone walking around who was approached a few times but gave no response.
