Great place! Welcoming staff, cozy decor, and delicious food. The spare ribs are highly recommended; I've rarely had such delicious ones.

We had dinner with the whole family on the second day of Christmas and everything was super organised and the food was fantastic.

Unfortunately, I got sick due to a mistake in the kitchen. I had hoped that the staff, who apologized, would have inquired. However, this didn't happen. I find that a shame.

I haven't had such an excellent meal in a long time... and in such a beautiful, atmospheric setting. Every course was superb, in my opinion. The dessert (a shared tasting) was also a real hit. I look back on it with a smile; what a wonderful evening it was!

We went on Boxing Day, the first group from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. It was busy, but cozy. The staff and kitchen were under time pressure, as the second group was supposed to arrive at 7 PM. The staff forgot a few things, and the food wasn't as good as usual. If that time pressure weren't there, you could have a really good meal here. The two-group system works against them. It's a shame. But we'll definitely be back!

To enjoy the atmosphere, service, and quality of the cuisine, we're willing to make the 1-hour and 15-minute drive. All we can say is... come and see for yourself... because tastes differ.

Cozy and atmospheric restaurant. 3-course menu via Social Deal. Excellent value. The starter and dessert were particularly pleasantly surprising. The fried cauliflower florets are well-seasoned and you get a generous portion. The nachos had a decent amount of cheese and salsa, yet were still nice and crunchy. The dessert was also delicious: a tarte tartin and a banana muffin with ice cream and real whipped cream, beautifully presented. The main course was excellent. The spare ribs are certainly not the best I've had, and at full price, I would have been disappointed. Good enough now. Well-seasoned and with two sauces, but I don't think the quality of the ribs is fantastic. The chicken burger was otherwise good, and the presentation was very neat. Drinks, unlike another restaurant in the city center, were reasonably priced.

It's a bit out of the way, but it's a really nice and cozy place to eat. The food is delicious, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. We didn't have a reservation (just dropped in spontaneously), so everything was already full except for one table. Reservations are definitely recommended.

Partly due to their very attractive offers on the social deal, they've become a very popular restaurant. We've had lunch several times over the past few months and dinner this evening. Always excellent. Generous portions (certainly no discount due to social media), a neat and cozy interior. Very friendly staff, and above all, the food was excellent and delicious at a traditional price. A 3-course meal including drinks costs €75 for 2 people. Thanks to its location, it's even more beautiful in the summer; they have a fantastic terrace in the woods. Highly recommended!

In all our subsequent conversations, they were very helpful and took a lot of work off our hands. They provide excellent, customized solutions tailored to our wishes. Herberg Nuwenspete is a beautiful, atmospheric, intimate venue surrounded by nature! On the day itself, everything was perfectly arranged, and we wanted for nothing. Herberg Nuwenspete is a fantastic location for a beautiful wedding, from the ceremony to the evening party!

Searching for a nice restaurant from the campsite, we found this place via Google. It had good reviews and a great-looking menu. And they certainly lived up to their reputation! Bregje's service was fantastic and friendly. The food (we had the satay, half chicken, and steak) was, in a word, fantastic! We hadn't had such a good meal at a restaurant in a long time. We sat outside on the terrace, which had a wonderful atmosphere.

Mooie locatie, maar zeer matig eten. Groente uit blik en alle sauzen uit een potje. M’n hoofdgerecht was zo bedolven onder een dikkige, naar bouillon smakende laag saus dat ik geen idee had wat ik nou op m’n bord lag. Op de muur stond een spreuk over iets van liefde in een gerecht. Maar die liefde in deze gerechten was ver te zoeken.

Wij hadden een dinerbon cadeau gekregen. Deze konden wij Herberg Nuwenspete inleveren. Wij komen vaak in Nunspeet en Herberg Nuwenspete was ons onbekend?! Dankzij de dinerbon heeft de herberg er weer 2 tevreden gasten bij! Biefstuk reepjes, Spareribs. Sperzieboontjes & zoete aardappelpatat erbij besteld. Erna enkel 2 bolletjes vanille-ijs/slagroom en een (goede-) espresso! Wij konden geen negatieve punten vinden. Gewoon goed voor wat je kreeg, met de juiste prijzen. Goede, vlotte en vriendelijke bediening en een leuke sfeer. Op mooie dagen een leuk terras voor borrel/lunch. Al met al voor herhaling vatbaar voor ons! Weer een adresje erbij.

Hele mooie gezellige locatie, vriendelijk personeel! Voor een zaterdag alles heel snel aan tafel, heathers, parasol. Blij dat wij hier de verjaardag van mijn vader hebben gevierd en hier ook tijdens het dessert een extraatje erbij voor de beste man! Reserveer hier als je in een mooi bosrijk gebied wilt lunchen/dineren.

It's a bit of a shame that this inn is somewhat tucked away in the Hoogwolde Bungalow Park. This makes it a bit difficult to reach, and they miss out on guests who are more likely to find such an inn along one of the main roads through the Veluwe. Despite that, it's a wonderful place to unwind. The location certainly has something to do with that. I had a midday snack served by the very friendly staff. It was delicious. Perhaps, to round it off, you could add a (small) cup of soup. If you're in the area... I think it's worth taking the exit and stopping here for a bite.

A very nice and unassuming restaurant in a green setting. It's quietly located and has a relaxed atmosphere. The service was very friendly and attentive. The menu is somewhat smaller, but the dishes impress with their flavor and quality. The ribs fall off the bone, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. I would definitely go back.

We had the spareribs with sweet potato fries, chicken satay with farmer's fries, the mushrooms, and fried cauliflower with a side salad, and everything was delicious. June 20, 2025 was our wedding day. After a nice conversation with Roos, we decided to have our reception here. The communication with Roos went very well, on the day itself everything was taken care of down to the last detail! Due to the lovely weather we were able to enjoy a drink and a snack on the terrace. It seemed like a beautiful location, but we were immediately put in a place just in front of the entrance while we had made a reservation. Then we ordered a luxury hamburger with fries, but it was dry and tasteless, and it was delivered without any kind of salad while the price was not a lie. All in all a bad experience and not recommended.

Het leek ons een prachtige locatie echter werden we meteen op een plek gezet net voor de ingang terwijl we gereserveerd hadden. Daarna hebben we een een luxe hamburger met patat besteld, deze was echter droog en niet op smaak, ook was het geheel geleverd zonder enige vorm van salade terwijl de prijs er niet om loog. Al met een slechte ervaring en niet aan te raden.

We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There was some time between the starter and main course but otherwise there was nothing to complain about. Sunny terrace, friendly service and excellent price quality. We had a well-filled prawn salad, bread with croquettes and a cauliflower soup as a starter. Large portions.

You can't call it a restaurant, so bad. Fish & chips is a plate full of fries with a fish that you have to search for for 23 euros. The chocolate sauce of the Dame blanche was so thin, just disgusting. I suspect that a lot of it comes from the freezer. So tasteless all. Not recommended.

Delicious food in this attractive restaurant. The service was fine. The best surprise of the evening was that upon inquiry in the kitchen it turned out to be possible to make a dairy-free dessert for my husband, who is severely lactose intolerant. The chef made him lactose- and gluten-free pancakes with warm cherries, a scoop of lactose-free ice cream and whipped cream. This dessert was not on the menu, I recommend Nuwenspete to change that quickly, because it was delicious!

Had a delicious lunch just too delicious to put into words

Ate here with Socialdeal promotion. Food was mediocre. Hamburger buns were tough and cold, wild boar pate nothing special. Nachos chewy. Satay was tasty. Dame blanche and coffee were good. But the 2 ladies serving were very pleasant, they even gave them a jug of tap water with ice cubes. We had ordered extra bread with butter, you had to pay 8 euros extra for this, this bread was wonderfully crispy and warm. Location and decor very cozy. Driving there in the dark forest and seeing the lights appear looked nice.

Small menu, good quality food and dietary requirements and/or allergies are taken into account. The dishes are adapted accordingly. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and informal.

Atmospheric restaurant. had a nice meal. Friendly staff. Fish and chips a bit too salty for our taste, but tastes vary. The children's ice cream is a bit large (3 large scoops, whipped cream and various toppings that you could add yourself). Perhaps an idea that a child can choose from different numbers of bulbs. 1 for the small eater and 2 for the big eater. All in all, the food was excellent and there was a diverse choice of main courses.

Excellent dinner, cozy inn and friendly staff. It's a shame that you have to view the menu via your phone. The dishes are not reserved with a vegetable, you could order this extra, but for the price it could have been included. If you don't like too much fuss, it's a great restaurant!

Atmosphere and service excellent, food generally good, but the tenderloin was not completely tender as a tenderloin should be but contained a few tendons.

How disappointing the food was. Plate full of fries and very bad hamburger as well as very dry chicken with too many fries. This is offset by the very good wine that was served. Location beautiful...but food really needs to be much better!! Shame
