I ordered Joris's schnitzel. It was disappointing: it was bland and watery. The vegetables and potatoes that came with it were tasty and fresh. But for €28, I didn't think it was worth it. I've eaten here before, but the schnitzel tasted much better then. Great location!

Ate at the new location for the first time. You can no longer hear the main road or the trains. A lovely restaurant and terrace, atmospheric and cozy. The food is still just as tasty and well-prepared (over 20 years). Friendly service and top-notch chefs! Unfortunately, I miss the background music. We had dinner at Joris Nunspeet tonight with my grandmother, children, and grandchildren. The menu wasn't very extensive, but there was definitely something for everyone to enjoy. The meat was smaller than we're used to (according to the men), but with the side dishes, you definitely have a full meal. The vegetables were fresh and well-prepared, and there was still room for dessert. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, and the restrooms were clean and well-maintained. Despite the crowd, the staff was friendly and quick. We will definitely be back; it was a well-organized, enjoyable evening. A tip: don't constantly rotate the staff at the table; stick to two or three people. The Van den Berg Family, Nunspeet.

2 weeks ago we had a delicious meal, the Vegetarian Platter and the Buttery Tender Steak were both excellent.

We've been regulars at Joris's since 2024 and eat there very regularly. Excellent meals with lots of fresh vegetables, very tasty too. Very friendly staff. The restaurant is remarkably clean and has a very pleasant atmosphere.

Simply good tasty food for a fair price

The quality of the food was disappointing, especially considering the price, you would expect more. The pancake was extremely greasy, after a few bites the children were full. Also special on this menu is the hamburger. Never ordered a hamburger before and didn't get a bun with it. What they do do is serve potatoes and chips separately. But what was really bad is that in a group of 9, 5 people had to make do with 1 small bowl of potatoes and chips. The portion of chips on the children's menu was even more. Then you quickly ask for 2 extra chips. You only get 1. Because 1 bowl is quickly divided among 5 people, we asked for chips again, had to wait a long time for them and we are all waiting with an empty plate. Sustainability is fine. But this was really meager. A hamburger on a bare plate with 5 people, you might as well put 3 chips and potatoes on it right away. It was kindly said that we could ask for more, but that didn't come to the table.

Great place for a small lunch in our case… a toasted sandwich: cheese, bacon, pineapple and ragout (delicious)… with a pot of tea…

Delicious pancakes, it took a while before we had our food, which took a while for the small children who were with us. But the wait was rewarded with delicious pancakes. Those with allergies were also well catered for with a pancake made from specially made batter.

Nice evening out. We were warmly welcomed, neat and friendly staff. The atmosphere is nice, all corners and different spaces. Service was fast and attentive, this made ordering and bringing dishes and drinks go smoothly. We had the super schnitzel Joris, highly recommended! We will come back when we are in the Veluwe again. The only downside was that the music was much too soft, it was impossible to understand.

the pancakes were not tasty; the cheese was actually loose on it and was dry/hard. Possibly the pancake was not warm enough so the cheese did not melt. They were also a bit tough. After our plates were cleared away and I had reported this complaint, no one came to ask if we wanted to order a dessert or drink. Only when we called a waitress ourselves, the order was noted. The dessert was good though. I am not used to this in this restaurant where I have been several times.

The only tasty thing in this restaurant is the beer. The rest is terrible. It doesn't matter if you eat pork, fish or meat, everything tastes the same. Fat, saucy and artificial food. It has two stars because of the nice and friendly people.

While we really did our best to make everything as pleasant and easy as possible, including for the staff. We had to provide the menu in advance, but it was very sparse and unattractively presented. Bread with toppings, soup. Loveless food. No, we won't be coming back here again!

Very clean, friendly service. I had mixed grill. Unfortunately the meat wasn't warm. The rip was basic. The ingredients were ok.

Reception fine. Dishes fine. The place where we were placed after reservation was not very cozy but ok. We should have made a reservation earlier because the restaurant was well occupied. The only thing missing was some nice background music.

Macaroni dish was rock hard including the vegetables that came with it. Sent back and got the response; indeed the chef says that it has been in the microwave for too long. (I don't understand the fact that this dish leaves the kitchen) and the same goes for the vegetarian dish, also from the microwave (it looked like a pool of moisture at the bottom). Sad restaurant and microwave, bad combination.

Tuna salad sandwich and hot meat sandwich with brie. It was tasty and enough for a normal appetite. Sufficient and friendly service, but "behind the scenes" I think there was a shortage of staff.... it was a bit busy due to nice weather and Saturday afternoon.

We have been coming to Joris for years when we go from Maassluis to the Veluwe. The food is always good, whether you order meat or fish, and the side dishes are also delicious and more than enough. Too bad they had to move, but the new restaurant has the same friendly atmosphere. French.

Ate here this week. I had spare ribs, my wife a cordon blue. Kids a pancake. The spareribs were acceptable but not special. They are supposed to come with BBQ sauce but I haven't discovered it. There was only garlic and a spring roll sauce. They didn't fall off the bone either. Furthermore, the side dishes were excellent. My wife didn't think the cordon blue was special either. Staff was friendly. All in all it was fine to eat here but I personally wouldn't come back again.

Wir haben 2x während unseres Urlaubes hier Mittag gegessen. Schönes Gebäude, genügend Parkplätze vorhanden. Inneneinrichtung sehr schön. Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Speisen sehr gut, angenehm gewürzt und auf den Punkt gegart. Waren sehr zufrieden.

Als we in de buurt zijn , zijn we al vaker bij Joris geweest, deze keer op de nieuwe locatie, Helaas is deze keer de laatste keer geworden , de kaart is kleiner met heel veel schnitzel gerechten, de varkenshaas die ik bestelde lag in een plas vleesnat op mijn bord, de schol filet van mijn man was aangebrand en de paneer laag was niet krokant, maar nat, het dessert deed de deur dicht ijs met warme kersen , de kersen opgewarmd in de magnetron en compleet ontploft op het ijs gedaan , volgens de serveerster kon dat niet anders , omdat het anders te veel tijd koste om de kersen op te warmen, voor ons dus de laatste keer dat we hier zijn geweest, de kwaliteit van vroeger is verdwenen , zo jammer . U bent gewaarschuwd!

Had dinner here on Saturday with a group of 6 people. First and last time for me. Food is not hot, neither is the coffee. You get a bowl of fries for 6 people that is also cold because it is in a cold earthenware bowl. You can order more once, but how often do you have to do that? You are sitting with 6 people, so at least put enough down so that everyone can put a decent amount on their plate the first time. The people on the table next to us received more per person than the 6 of us. Ever heard of plate warmers? The famous schnitzel à la 'Joris for €27 was not only very small, but also tough. The dessert was also not worth the money. A fruit sorbet with fresh fruit turned out to be two pieces of melon at the bottom of the glass, with cheap and hard ice cream on top. Sorry, but they will never see me there again.

For us the third time we ate here, unfortunately I think it will be the last time, the food was once again delicious, really nothing to complain about! Even though we had said that we were coming to celebrate my birthday there together, no attention was paid to this, and the service we received was curt, I had not noticed it before, maybe I noticed it even more now, I thought it was a shame! Of course, good food is number 1, but customer friendliness and involvement of the staff is important number 2.

As always, cozy, informal, good food and drinks for a nice price and everyone is welcome, young, old and everyone else. We'll come again soon.
