Herberg Tante Sjaan in Wijk 01 Elspeet-Vierhouten

Veel te hogen prijzen voor wat krijgt ( snackbar kwaliteit), ook nog slecht bereid. Met 7 gegeten waarvan 1 eten pas kreeg toen 6 klaar waren en na herhaaldelijk vragen. Bestek werd op tafel gesmeten. Ze zullen het ( te) druk hebben met onervaren personeel maar lost zich vanzelf op als ze zo doorgaan.

Vorige week met vrienden hier gegeten. Zaten op terras. Mooie locatie, onder de bomen. Gerechten waren prima bereid en was zeker voldoende. Bediening liet te wensen over. Duurde erg lang voordat eerste drankje op tafel stond. Hoofdgerecht werd geserveerd terwijl lege borden van voorgerecht nog op tafel stonden. Bestek was men vergeten. Paar keer drankjes vergeten. Duurde ruim een uur tussen hoofd- en nagerecht. Je ziet aan alles dat er te weinig sturing is mbt. de bediening. Jammer, want rest is prima in orde.

Geschrokken van de hoge prijzen! Eten van matige kwaliteit, slechte bediening. Terras heeft beste tijd gehad, kapotte tafels en oncomfortabele stoelen. Komen al jaren als we op de veluwe zijn, laatste keer geweest

We kwamen hier dineren via Social Deal Het was echt super Heerlijk gegeten en super bediening Ruime kaart. Lekkere wijn Gezellig Tafeltjes staan wel heel dicht bij elkaar. Maar zeker voor herhaling vatbaar

Mooie plek om te zitten op het terras. Lekker gegeten en leuke bediening. Niet leuk: De prijs van een glas Merlot voor 6,75!!! Ongehoord en onnodig duur voor zo'n doorsnee wijntje. Smaakte precies zoals de Merlot van de Aldi waar we net voor 3 euro een FLES van gekocht hadden!!!

Als je in het verleden tijdens het fietsen bij Tante Sjaan aankwam, wist je dat er je er lekker kon lunchen. Nu is het eten matig en de bediening te onervaren en traag. De verhouding prijs-kwaliteit klopt absoluut niet meer. Nadeel is ook dat er flink gerookt wordt op het terras. Voortaan geen Tante Sjaan meer. De tweede ster is overigens dankzij de jongedame die het drinken rondbracht; zij begrijpt wel wat service is.

Na de Bergeltroute gelopen te hebben, waren we wel toe aan iets lekkers. Spontaan gekozen voor een lunch bij tante Sjaan. Na een hartelijk ontvangst mochten we zelf een tafel kiezen, een tafel gekozen in de serre. We zijn verwend met een heerlijke soep, brood met kroket, brood met zalm en brood met brie en daar kan ik verder niks aan toevoegen. Ga zo door.

Enjoyed it in an attractive setting. Staff was friendly, but sometimes a bit inexperienced and perhaps a little too little. We had planned to eat at Tante Sjaan because we have often been to Vierhouten but never eaten there. That was a very tasty surprise. A wide choice on the menu. We hadden hier ons Kerstdiner. De locatie is gezellig maar het eten was matig, weinig smaak. De bediening deels gewoon slecht. Misschien door de drukte onervaren personeel? Met het eten waren ze snel, lekker lang gezellig tafelen is er dus niet bij. Met de drankjes was het een ander verhaal. Je moest er zelf om vragen. Eindelijk kregen we weer wat te drinken maar het leeggoed bleef staan. Het dessert was erg duur. Senioren ijsje was 3 euro goedkoper dan bijv de Dame Blanche, verschil was alleen de chocoladesaus. Je betaald dus 10 euro voor 2 bolletjes ijs, wat al deels gesmolten was en over het bord liep, een klein dotje slagroom en wat chocoladesaus. Voor ons is dit zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar!

Outside there was a sign: vegetarian vegetable soup with, among other things, mushrooms. That seemed like something to us. After a long wait, I ordered this soup at the bar. STUPID. Didn't look at the menu. A little later this soup turned out to be gone and it became tomato soup. When I asked if it was vegetarian, the boy said that there were no balls in it anymore. Oh well, that's funny. It became less comical when I had to pay. It was 19.90. I said it must be a mistake, we only had two containers of tomato soup. No, the boy said, it's real, we have received more complaints about this. He was clearly embarrassed by this outrageous price and me that I had not looked at the menu first. I said they would never see me here again. I'm afraid they didn't mind. A normal bowl of tomato soup without (but also with) meatballs is twice as expensive as in a regular restaurant. So beware of Aunt Sjaan.

Very cozy atmosphere, like in an old inn. Nice staff. Beautiful wooden beams in the balcony. You can also sit in the conservatory. There is parking next to the restaurant for +/- 15 cars.

A great restaurant where the food is more than excellent in excellent portions and affordable prices. With a Socio Deal voucher it is more than worth it. The service is great, they are extremely friendly and helpful. Another good point is that there is the possibility to park in front of the door. M.n. This is a solution for people with mobility problems. In short: Highly recommended!!!

The food tasted good and it was a cozy place, unfortunately the service was very slow. After 40 minutes we asked if we could order drinks or get a menu card at the bar. Then we had to wait a very long time, we got the feeling as if our table had been forgotten. When we paid and left, we were not asked if everything was satisfactory, even though the staff realized that things had not gone smoothly and we always had to wait a long time. As a result, we were unable to mention these things to them and we left dissatisfied. A tip for Aunt Sjaan and the staff is to walk around the covered area more often and place a drinks menu on each table so that you can at least see which drinks you can order during the time you have to wait.

Echt de slechtse ervaring in tijden, wij hadden scooters gehuurd en wilde bij Tante Sjaan wat eten en drinken, ongelooflijk slechte, onervaren en ongeïnteresseerd personeel. Na lang wachten, twee chocomelk en appelgebak besteld maar die bleek op , op een van de mooiste dagen van het jaar te weinig bestellen is echt prutsen, toen maar twee tosti's besteld , die van mijn vrouw kwam na enige tijd en toen ik na 10 min vroeg waarom mijn vrouw alleen zat te eten vroeg de ober , oh had u ook iets besteld, ik ga het regelen....na weer 10 min is mijn vrouw naar de bar gelopen , waren ze het weer vergeten , hoe kun je nou twee keer vergeten een tosti te maken er zat ook een klein beetje salade bij alleen moesten we twee keer achter het bestek aan lopen .....wat een Amateuren....toen ik er bij het afrekenen iets van zei stond een chagrijnige vrouw ( ik denk Tante Sjaan ) te kijken maar reageerde ook niet. Wel gewoon om €33-, vragen.... Nooit meer....

Terrace has just too many tables, it gets busy quickly. As can be read in many other reviews, the drinks are extremely expensive. I was allowed to pay €21.50 for 3 lukewarm hot chocolates and 1 ice tea.

Friendly and enthusiastic service, the food was excellent. Living room atmosphere and extensive menu. We had a Social Deal, but when ordering we could just order from the menu and we said, that is not possible for the Social Deal price. Today, anything is possible, we were told. After enjoying the delicious food, we not only had to pay for the drinks, but also for fries that were not ordered and an additional charge for 2 fish dishes. And that was a disappointment and put a blemish on this evening. Too bad that it was also denied that it had happened this way. As a plaster on the wound, the portion of fries was removed from the bill. It's a shame that it all happened this way. But until the moment of payment, nothing but praise for the quality of the food, the atmosphere, service and ambiance.

Bij binnenkomst ontzettend gezellig ontvangen door vriendelijk personeel. We hadden geboekt via social deal. We werden gevraagd om gelijk het voor, hoofd en nagerecht op te geven. Na enige tijd kwam de soep. Heerlijk gevulde soep. Toen werd het drukker en drukker in het restaurant en het leek een beetje of het personeel door de bomen het bos niet meer zag. Mensen die later binnen kwamen en binnen niet al te lange tijd 3 gangen voorgeschoteld kregen. Nadat wij 2 uur in het restaurant hadden gezeten waren we nog niet verder gekomen dan alleen het voorgerecht. Nadat we hadden laten blijken dat het allemaal wel erg lang duurde kregen we te horen dat het personeel in de keuken het niet aan kon. Naar mijn mening moet je dan minder reserveringen aannemen. Toen dan eindelijk het hoofdgerecht eraan kwam vroegen we gelijk ook maar om het nagerecht. En zowaar, we hadden nauwelijks de laatste hap van onze heerlijke fish and chips naar binnen gewerkt of daar was het nagerecht. Maar eerlijk is eerlijk, ondanks dat het allemaal megalang duurde, hebben we heerlijk gegeten.

Lekker buiten gegeten. Mosterdsoep, saté, hamburger en dame blanche. Alles was zeer goed bereid en erg lekker. Vriendelijke gastheer. Echte aanrader 👍

Deze week tot 2 x toe heerlijk gegeten bij herberg tante sjaan,,vooral de mosterdsoep de champignons met mozzarella en de goulash waren echt een aanrader,,jammer alleen dat we het toetje wat ik niet had genomen wel in rekening werd gebracht, en we moesten bijbetalen voor de champignons,,ook liet de bediening wat te wensen over .

Food was substandard considering the price. Way too salty. The sashimi looked more like a salad with a little bit of salmon and wasabi mayo had no taste. Very salty pasta and lava cake, a cooked microwave version with a chocolate sauce from a bottle with whipped cream that you get from the shelf-stable section in the supermarket. Staff was very friendly, but our requested terrace seat was given away up to 3 times. Long waiting times between courses.

What a ball tent... Tables are not cleared after the predecessors have finished, so you end up with a dirty table... After about half an hour of watching the chaos in terms of service, a waiter approached 8 tables away to take the order. We also wanted to eat there, but we already had a bad feeling about that. Also in terms of prices... Not normal...tomato soup...€10. Finally the expensive drinks arrive, the wine thunders from the tray. The table was wet and the wine in the beer that was ordered...this one killed me right away... Bah. Young man responded simply and you had to put the words into his mouth. Only after some time a new wine arrived. Had to go to the waiter myself and insist on having the beer changed and the table cleaned. It had now collapsed and died. The slow servant only came after some time with a dirty dishcloth to partially clean the place. I drank everything and went to pay myself. We were asked which table? The one where the wine has been spilled... It was laughed at ridiculously and a kind of childish game was played by the person paying for the bill. What a shame and mockery for the beautiful village of Vierhouten... And what a shame for the guests who are coming there for the first time.

Op zoek naar een leuk terrasje gingen we hier zitten. We wilden eerst wat drinken en een borrelgarnituur nemen en dan later dineren. Het borrelgarnituur (16 stuks) kregen we in een heel klein schaaltje waarop ik aan de ober vroeg of we wel de GROTE met 16 stuks hadden. Hij had ze geteld en bevestigde dat het er 16 waren. Kleiner en simpeler dan dit hebben we nog nooit gehad! De allergoedkoopste mix uit de supermarkt is zeker lekkerder. In de, wat wij dachten bitterbal, zat een soort rijst met doperwten! En dat voor €15,90!!! Toen we daarop besloten de reviews te kijken zagen we al snel dat wij niet alleen teleurgesteld waren in Tante Sjaan. Kortom, sla deze maar over en ga elders zitten. Het mooie terras verhuld dat de kwaliteit die reserveert wordt zeer slecht is. U snapt dat wij hier niet meer gedineerd hebben en zeker nooit meer gaan zitten.

It was clear that we had previously indicated that everything was not to our satisfaction. When I said something about this I was told sorry, I didn't know this. After a wonderful motorcycle ride through the Veluwe forests, I stopped at Herberg Tante Sjaan in Vierhouten. The coffee was as strong as my love for bends and the view on the terrace almost made me forget that I had to continue. Whether it is the smell of freshly mown grass or the friendly smile of Aunt Sjaan herself, you will immediately feel at home here. A cup of comfort that leaves you wanting more and a place where your motorcycle is just as welcome as you are. Recommended!

Went here for a cup of coffee. Since there is a new owner it has been disastrous in terms of quality/price. Ordered a dirty chai latte for €5.50. I order this often, so here it is for the first time. Served in a small teacup, it just looked like senseo and had nothing, absolutely nothing to do with a chai latte!!! Walk or cycle straight past this restaurant!

Supermarkt eten en drinken voor een sterren prijs. De bediening was vriendelijk, maar de kwaliteit van het eten ver beneden peil en dan voor een flinke prijs. De rose a 5,50 per glas was exact dezelfde als die de Plus verkoopt.

Twee keer in 1 week hier gegeten met Social Deal. Laatste keer op zondagavond g11 augustus 2024. Beide keren een prima ervaring. Ik had: carpaccio, saté van kippendijen en een coupe tante Sjaan. Mijn man had de eerste keer de goulash en die was ook heerlijk. Het enige minpuntje is dat er op het terras gerookt mag worden. De bediening is erg aardig. Het eten kwam prima op tijd. Zeker een aanrader.

Via groupon hebben we dit weekend een 3 gangen diner gegeten bij Tante Sjaan. Oud Hollandse gezelligheid. We moesten wel gelijk alle 3 de gangen kiezen maar dat was geen probleem Op het terras gezeten op een fijne plek. Voorgerechtje was prima. We zagen al wel snel dat je voor veel gerechten veel (rond 7 euro) moest bijbetalen. Hoofgerecht (kip Piri piri) was kip met bol witte rijst, geen groenten erbij (op een beetje lenteui na). Voor groenten erbij moesten we weer flink bijbetalen. Aan het einde moesten we nog 46 euro bijbetalen (7,90 voor een fles water, en 5,5 euro voor ( een bodempje) witte wijn) Dat je de drankjes achteraf afrekent lijkt me prima, maar bijna 8 euro voor water en 5,5 euro voor een karig gevuld glas wijn is echt teveel voor deze plek. Dure prijzen (ondanks de Groupon) voor matig eten. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Zin in een advocaatje maar ze had net de laatste twee ingetypt! Dus geen flessen in voorraad. Nachos besteld maar heel weinig kaas en een paar stukjes ui. Drankje sap besteld kreeg ongevraagd een suikerloos sapje. Fluitje bier had de serveerster nog nooit van gehoord, er werd een vaasje bier gebracht. Nooit meer.
