Het Alternatief Eten & Drinken in Voorhout Oude Dorp

We had a delicious meal, friendly staff.

On the high street, I spotted "Het Alternatief," a nice restaurant with both a terrace and indoor seating; I had already seen my favorite dish—fried eggs with ham and cheese—on the online menu, so placing the order was quick and easy. The staff are friendly and helpful. Parking requires a parking disc.

Delicious food and friendly service

Delicious lunch on the terrace. Friendly service.

Lovely atmosphere with friendly service. The food is good, but there's room for improvement. Unfortunately, the asparagus soup had an overpowering aroma of a burnt (not burnt!) roux. The ham in it was shredded, like a parakeet in a fan. A shame, it just looked uninspired. My suggestion for the chef: cut it into strips. That would make a much better impression on the customer. My mojito didn't taste like a mojito. It lacked the characteristic lime flavor. But enough complaining... My appetizer, two fish dishes, was good with the capers. A little bread on the side would have been an added bonus. The spare ribs were simply superb. Hats off! I think they were marinated in-house. The young, friendly team was a real plus. They thoughtfully brought water to our dogs. All in all, a good restaurant.

Received hospitably, had a delicious meal.

We had a delicious venison dinner tonight. The main course: venison tenderloin, highly recommended!

Had a delicious meal (every time) and a nice, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Delicious food and generous portions. Even the salt-free dishes are tasty here! Highly recommended.

Cozy atmosphere, very good food at affordable prices and very friendly staff. Really good surprise!

Going to Het alternative is going to a restaurant serving a very tasty food with a mesmerizing atmosphere and warm team... All the best.

Perfect food, Perfect service👌👌👌

Delicious food, great service!!!

Expensive goat cheese salad, with a tiny ball of goat cheese, without the caramelized onions, which are listed on the menu. Instead of raspberries, they had nasty sugared raspberry toppings. I opted for a healthy salad, but I got sugar on it. I also got tomatoes on it, which wasn't listed; I don't like tomatoes! Walnuts were also nowhere to be found. Not worth repeating.

Very nice and friendly restaurant, easily accessible, with parking on the street. The food is excellent. We had very good fish and desserts! Small changes or special requests for side dishes were no problem. We brought our dog, and he was also given a water bowl. The kitchen is open, so you can watch the chef preparing food – a great concept! We are vacationing from Germany. Definitely recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have a lactose intolerance and don't like much, but I do like pizza, so I ordered a pizza that naturally contains lactose. She took that into account and added as little cheese as possible. The pizza was so delicious that it was definitely worth the upset stomach. And the service was excellent. The lady was very kind.

We came with a large group for lunch and/or drinks. The staff really went out of their way to seat us and help us quickly. The food was delicious, and the iced coffee was wonderful! We enjoyed sitting on the terrace.

After 11 months, I came back to this place and everything has improved tremendously. The food is of high quality, the service is truly five-star, and the atmosphere is simply amazing. You can experience the styles and flavors of many countries—all in one classy and unique restaurant. A truly novel and unforgettable experience

The food here was once good, but it has fallen to snack bar level. Shame. We won't be back.

Had a great meal at Het Alternatief, the service is very friendly, helpful and neat and the food is really fantastic! Enjoyed a delicious duck leg, which was very soft and tender.

The food was amazing! The menu offers various dishes, and the staff were professional and very friendly. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience.

Very tasty food, service is super nice and we will come again soon

The better neighborhood restaurant.

Excellent Experience at Het Alternatief in Voorhout Dear team of Het Alternative, I would like to express my compliments for the wonderful experience I had at your restaurant. The food was exquisite and the service was excellent. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and inviting, which made my visit even more enjoyable. The dishes were carefully prepared and tasted delicious, with fresh ingredients and beautiful presentations. Special thanks to the friendly and attentive staff who ensured that everything was taken care of down to the last detail. I will definitely come back again and will definitely recommend Het Alternatief to friends and family.

Spontaneously had dinner at this restaurant. It was good food and pleasant service,

Very pleasant. The food is fresh and served quickly. Delicious tournedos with the taste of the grill. It is important to know that all dishes must be ordered separately. There are no standard fries or something like that. Furthermore, very attractively decorated. Price is a little higher but it's worth it.

The staff are very friendly and the owner is very welcoming. this place serves quality food and prices are good. we went there on a Saturday evening and able to find parking comfortably. All the best.

Very well crafted original dishes. It was absolutely excellent. The service is friendly and fast and the icing on the cake is that the owner speaks French 😊. Thanks again

Nice atmosphere, but man, it was cold there. The employees had raised the temperature, but I ended up sitting under a blanket. Fortunately, the meal and hospitality make up for a lot.

Nice warm atmosphere and great decor.

Went again today and received a very hospitable welcome from the attentive staff of Het Alternatief. From the moment of arrival until the moment we left, the knowledge and expertise radiated. A fantastic experience where the food was discussed in detail with us and our wishes were taken into account. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail. In short, the price-quality ratio is above average and can even be described as excellent. For new visitors who are in doubt: you should not miss this restaurant. It exceeds expectations and is definitely recommended!

The best latte I've ever had...

Super-nice restaurant! Great food, friendly staff... TOP! We come there regularly and enjoy it!

Nice athmosphere and great food.

Excellent food, excellent service.

Nice tent in the village. I can definitely recommend!

Great restaurant. Delicious lunch. The atmosphere was disappointing because we were the only visitors. So we kind of faded into space. However, the hostess was very friendly and the food was excellent.

Heerlijk gegeten , gezellige inrichting , mooie plek gezeten in de serre waar mijn slechtziende vader goed de kaart kon lezen ! Geweldige bediening . Een aanrader

Sehr freundliches Personal, große Portion, sehr lecker und absolut empfehlenswert.

We stopped with friends to lunch during our bike trip. Very good place, food and excellent service

lovely place - good veggie food - more veggie options on the menu would be welcome - great service by super kind staff - and cook Elias

Wat een fijne locatie! Heerlijk gegeten in een ontspannen sfeer. Bedankt Elias en team!

Enorm gastvrij en behulpzaam. Vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijke koffie perfect broodje brie.

Mooie locatie, leuk personeel, eten niets bijzonders.

Heerlijke Libanese kip met kaneelrijst gegeten. Fijne bediening, zo warm en met veel aandacht!

Heerlijk gegeten, de aard. Waren t enige min punt. Leken oude opgewarmde aard. Verder was t prima .

Gezellige gelegenheid met bijzonder lekker eten. Voof herhaling vatbaar.

Toprestaurant, hele fijne sfeer en altijd vriendelijk. Goed eten! Aanrader!

Super goed eten. Gezellig en sfeervol restaurant met top personeel

Recommend with all my heart! The food is presented beautifully. The portions are large enough. And the serving is done properly. Friendly staff.

Super leckeres und ganz frisches Essen. Einfach genial!!!! Sehr nette Bedienung. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis. Immer wieder gerne!!
