What a beautiful spot in nature! Charming accommodation. We had the unlimited lunch; the drinks were refilled frequently, no empty glasses. The lunch was delicious. And the staff was super friendly! Our waiter Julius is someone a company should cherish; he really enjoyed his work. With a joke, a smile, and his enthusiasm, he made the lunch perfect!! Thank you for this! I recommend this accommodation to everyone!

We celebrated our wedding at Het Rieten Dak. A fairytale location by the water, surrounded by greenery. The outdoor tent was beautifully decorated, the terrace well-maintained, the food excellent, and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. On the day itself, Lisa assisted us tremendously. It was also a pleasure communicating with Chris and Josje in the run-up to the day. In short, everything was top-notch and well taken care of! We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would rent Het Rieten Dak again in a heartbeat for another party. Thanks to all the amazing people at Het Rieten Dak!

We had a company party. The food was fantastic. BBQ salad and a huge amount of other tasty treats. The location is so beautiful and peaceful. A view of croaking water frogs; despite the heat warning, we sat in the shade with a bit of a breeze. It was great.

Stopped for a drink today, nice spot... friendly staff... Since I was alone this time, I wanted a half portion of bitterballen. The waitress told me that wasn't possible, as it wasn't in the system... It's a shame that employees aren't allowed to be flexible... that would be more customer-friendly, because how difficult can it be...

We had a summer event at Het Rieten Dak and it was, in one word, amazing. From the first contact, everything went very smoothly and professionally; they were very helpful and the organization was taken care of down to the last detail. The location is beautiful and has a very nice, relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and of good quality, and the service during the event was also excellent. Perfect location for parties and just good food

I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious cappuccino. The freshly made panini is definitely recommended. And we were served by a lady who I believe is named Esmee. Very pleasant to be around. And we were able to share nice common interests. And a tip: come nice and early. Then you can sit outside in the lovely sunshine and watch the birds and herons across the water – pure enjoyment.

I thought it was very strange that they close at 5:00 PM on Sundays! So we didn't go for this reason.

Great location and very friendly staff. The food was disappointing. The lunch special for €16.50 was supposed to be a croquette on bread and a fried egg on bread, along with a cup of soup. In practice, the croquette turned out to be a bitterball on a mini bun, and the egg was partially raw with a cracked yolk that had cooked through. I don't know how a chef manages to ruin a fried egg, but I could have made it better myself. Otherwise, a nice place. My wife's food, however, was okay.

We went here for a family lunch package. Drinks were included in the price. After ordering the drinks, we received a small soup after a while. That was fine. After 45 minutes, we finally got the coffee. When I asked if my cup of tea might have been forgotten, I received a snappy reply. Then my tea was placed on the table bluntly and roughly. No sugar or spoon with it. I had to wait another 10 minutes for this. After that, I managed to get one more drink. Even when I went to the bar. The food was very disappointing. A mini soup followed by a platter with a very dry quiche and a few flavors of white rolls. For 2 people, this was 75 euros. I really didn't think it was worth it. The food I saw being passed to the other tables looked beautiful. I will definitely try this sometime too. However, I really do not recommend this for a family package! The location is beautiful. On a rainy day, we sat in a super cozy spot. I can imagine that it is wonderful on the terrace with the sun shining.

Absolutely no value for money! I ordered lunch for €16.50 and was still hungry afterwards... whereas at every other restaurant you get something unique or at least 2 slices of bread, here all of that was missing. I actually find it shameful that they dare to serve this. Otherwise, it is a very beautiful place and surroundings, which is why it always gets extra points, but I would skip lunch.

We had a delicious lunch here with the office today. Mustard or tomato soup to start, followed by a well-stocked platter with rolls, coiche, and a salad. Everything was more than sufficient, and we also enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the sun.

I recently had a delicious meal at Het Riette Dag in Delft. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the food was truly high quality. What stood out to me most was the excellent service: the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcome immediately. The owner also worked in the restaurant himself, which created a personal and engaging atmosphere. That made the experience extra special. All in all, a great place where hospitality and good food come together. Highly recommended!

I thought to myself... Come on, let's take the low-step bike to Het Rietendak, nice weather. Sun on my phone, wind at my back... What more could you want? For a divine pancake... If it's all good, maybe two... Bike on the side & with a fresh mind, I headed towards the establishment....... Was greeted by an equally fresh-faced girl.... Beautiful eyes with different colors.... Now, that's what we love... When she comes to take the order later, I'll tell them right away... If I had to choose a table myself... There or there or there...!!!! Delicious, I chose the latter..... I had to wait a bit longer until they noticed me.... Boring gray mouse..... I'd already been eyeing the menu for a while....... Not a single pancake in sight.... No, he'd just sat down at the table.... My fresh mood dipped briefly to the setting sun while it was still high in the sky... Well, that's going to require some improvisation.... A prime location and lovely accommodations, surrounded by nature. The outdoor terrace has been significantly enlarged following the renovation, allowing you to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings in good weather. This is also the perfect venue to rent exclusively for various business or private occasions.

After my mother-in-law's funeral, I sent the following email: We think you're a special team! We received such excellent support; you took your time with everything. The entire process, from the introduction to the farewell at the end of the day, was caring, thoughtful, and stress-free. The food and drinks were delicious, and your entire team was friendly and helpful. Everyone wanted to hire or adopt Lisa because she was everywhere and saw everything. Thanks in part to you, we look back on a wonderful day.

Sure, all the changes are daunting, and it remains a beautiful location, but not so often anymore. It seems like the new owner is a bit cocky and finds an after-dinner snack or the world-famous bowl of pea soup vulgar, and so do the people who enjoy them. Het Rieten Dak has belonged to everyone for many years, but not just to the duck breast lovers of today. It could have been a great mix, but unfortunately, none of that, a real shame in my very humble and personal opinion.

A lovely spot for a drink while walking. A cup of hot water with a ginger cube costs over 4 euros. Well, that's normal these days. Less pleasant is that the waiter already shows my place to the next customers even though I haven't even finished half of that expensive glass of water.

The three of us (me and two friends) came in for a drink. Upon entering, a young employee told us that the downstairs area was full, but that we could sit upstairs in the conservatory. He also explained that there was no table service upstairs and that we had to go downstairs to order and take it upstairs ourselves. Fine, no problem. We then sat upstairs and calmly browsed the menu to decide what we wanted to order. Another couple came upstairs after us. To our great surprise, they were indeed served upstairs and their order was simply brought upstairs, even though we had been explicitly told this wasn't possible. We thought this was strange, but decided not to say anything at the time. After about ten minutes, I went downstairs to order. I waited there for another five minutes because someone was ahead of me. When it was finally my turn and my order was taken by a man behind the counter, I was suddenly interrupted by a woman of about 30 or 40 with long, dark blond hair. In a very unfriendly, forceful, and unprofessional manner, I was told that we weren't allowed to sit upstairs and that we had to leave immediately because "upstairs was only for groups/parties." At most, we were allowed to sit outside. I pointed out that this wasn't true, because another couple had just sat down upstairs (clearly not a group) and they were even being served. I also told her that her own colleague had told us we could sit there. This was completely ignored. She kept repeating that we had to leave and that we weren't allowed to sit there, let alone order anything. I then went back upstairs to tell my friends, who were just as surprised as I was. Just then, the man who had previously told us we could sit upstairs happened to walk by. My friends asked him exactly what was going on. His response: "Yeah, sorry, you have to go... I said it wrong." We found this completely incomprehensible, since the couple who had sat upstairs after us was still sitting there and was even being served. Downstairs, I spoke to the woman again and explained that her story wasn't true and that it was all extremely strange and contradictory. Her response was, once again, rude, and completely unprofessional: we weren't allowed to sit there and had to leave. In short: it's completely wrong. Conflicting information, arbitrary rules, unfriendly staff, and absolutely no sense of hospitality. I have years of experience in the hospitality industry and have honestly never experienced anything like this. If I could have given 0 stars, I would have without a doubt. A real shame; we'll never be back.

Review update. It was a 5-star restaurant, but after the new owners introduced a very poor menu, the rating was adjusted.

What a disappointment, the new menu. Where have the regular sandwiches gone? And the prices have become ridiculously high. Too bad, our regular spot is gone.

What if you don't like blue cheese or mackerel salad? Where's the fried eggs, satay, or croquette sandwich? Unfortunately, they're no longer on the new menu. I couldn't find much I liked. We'd been going to Het Rieten Dak for years, and it was one of our favorite lunch spots. We were shocked by the new menu. I missed the usual, accessible lunch dishes. The service was friendly, though.

The outside is cozy and tastefully decorated with lanterns and lights. The atmosphere inside is also pleasant. The staff was excellent; friendly and service-oriented. The food (buffet) was delicious with plenty of choices.

What a great party venue! Great service, everything is arranged quickly and expertly. Very friendly. Well-prepared buffets and an extensive drinks menu. It's also situated on a dike between the Bieslandse Bos and the Brasserskade area. A lovely walk and a drink there will make your day complete.

After sitting on the terrace for 15 minutes and watching several waitresses walk by, no one came to ask if we wanted to order anything. We finally got up and left. Very disappointing, and I've never experienced this anywhere else.

During our drive, we stumbled upon Het Rieten Dak. What a wonderful place for a stopover. The chicken salad was more than enough, as was the ham sandwich. Both were generously filled. The service was also very friendly! Afterward, we mentioned to each other several times what a lovely spot this was.

August 7, 2025: I was back at my favorite lunch restaurant. I had a super delicious 12-hour lunch with a bowl of leek curry soup, a healthy sandwich with cheese, ham, and a fried egg, and a sandwich with a veal croquette and a salad roll. Highly recommended! My wife had an Italian roll with spicy chicken. Plus, the seating is so comfortable here, and the service is excellent! So if you're looking for a good lunch, go to Het Rieten Dak!

I'm a vegan. It's not indicated on the menu, but when I asked, I was told I could have the tomato soup and that a salad could be made for me. The soup was delicious, but the salad was especially pleasant. It was the goat cheese salad without the goat cheese, with extra fruit and nuts. But I haven't seen such a rich salad in a restaurant in a long time. Kudos for the thoughtfulness and the service!

Delicious menu. Something for everyone. Good, tasty sandwiches. Well-filled. Delicious soups. We went again today and had the "uitmijter" (bacon and cheese sandwich). It was delicious: 2 eggs, 2 slices of bread, and some fresh salad. The only downside was that the bread wasn't nice and crispy farmhouse bread. It was like supermarket bread. It was tiger bread, but it was soft and not crispy at all. That could definitely be improved. And an early dinner...you can come for that too. Just be on time, because it can get quite busy in good weather. And they're usually only open until 5:00 PM. Beautiful location, and from the terrace...you look out over a beautiful water and enjoy the beautiful nature around you from your seat. A very pleasant place to be and enjoy delicious food.

The flavor combination of the salty bacon with the fresh apple is perfect and the pancakes are always freshly baked. If you enjoy this with a delicious cold La Chouffe beer, your afternoon or evening is complete. In short: a wonderful place, friendly people, beautiful nature and delicious food. Ideal for families!
