I come here often and they never disappoint!

All those different places in the area, but this is simply the best place in North. Cheap and really delicious! No snack bar or place in Amsterdam can match this.

Best snackbar food in town! The woman who works there is so rude that it has to be an act and part of the real ‘snackbar experience’. 10/10 (recommend take out though)

It's always a treat at Smikkelhoekje. The fries are always exactly what you expect, and the "smikkelburger" is worth the detour. The milkshakes are also highly recommended; you have more flavors to choose from than you can imagine (white chocolate is my favorite). I'd even give the service 6 stars if I could :)

The best snack bar in the Netherlands! Everything is prepared with love, and the staff is super friendly. They have a huge variety of snacks—you name it, they have it! I'm always overwhelmed by the choice when I'm there, but nothing has ever disappointed me! Everything is always delicious and exactly as expected (and better). The price-quality ratio gets a 10. Definitely recommended.

Real blast from the past! Great counter service snack bar with endless options. We had 3 burgers, frikandel, kipkorn and fries with joppie sauce for 20 euro. Everything fried to order. So hot, crispy and well seasoned. The couple running the place were very friendly and welcoming. Even asked if what they normally put on the burger was okay (Ketchup, mayo, pickle onion, lettuce). Expert to go packaging that keeps everything hot and still crispy. Highly recommend for the price and quality.

Unfortunately only seating outside, the food was not too bad.

Small 80s-style "fast food", an honest solution for anyone staying at the Holiday Inn who wants something quick and cheap. French fries, croquettes, wings, etc. You can also get a package. It gathers a lot of people.

Usually a cozy neighborhood snack bar, but sometimes the lady doesn't have her day, so she'd better stay at home.

Here they really have those delicious crispy, non-greasy fries. You get good portions and the prices are also normal. The tartare sandwich was also very popular, as were the snacks! The place looks a bit messy and it's a pity that you can't sit inside. The kitchen and workbenches looked hygienic. The employees are simply down to earth and very friendly and helpful. All in all a delicious meal, especially the fries were really good!

Defo do not recommend the place for tourists! Felt extremely unwelcomed and the waitress was not friendly or patient at all!

Friendly people and yes, for me, especially the lady who has been working there for a long time. Smikkelburger remains a favorite, fries are always delicious and the milkshakes are one of the tastiest with a wide choice of flavors.

The snack corner claims to have halal snacks, but all snacks are fried in the same fat with all other snacks, including those made from pork. When I reported it I was snubbed. No respect.

We stopped by on the way to our hotel Holiday Inn for late night snack - had 2 very tasty burgers. Staff was very nice and prices acceptable

If you are staying at the Holiday Inn, or, just in this neighborhood, you are in a for a real treat. Tradional Dutch snack food and patat frites. It brought back memories of when I worked in Holland in the 80’s. My wife remarked that her egg burger was an incredibly generous sized meal and very tasty. She thoroughly enjoyed her egg burger. Highly recommended.

This really is a top snack bar. Don't tell anyone: they are way too cheap with their prices and you get a mountain of fries for just over 2 euros. The bami disc is also great. Not a lame disc but a disc from the 80s. The taste is perfect and in terms of spiciness it also meets my requirements. The owners of the shop are also very pleasant. Unfortunately you can't eat inside, but there is a decent terrace outside.

Went there yesterday solely because it was the nearest spot but it did not disappoint! Ordered fries and the portion was enormous. Food-price ratio was more than exceptional! Can recommend for a fast and easy food option.

't Smikkelhoekje is dè lekkerste snackbar van Amsterdam. Het lijkt ook steeds beter te worden. De eigenaren bestieren deze tent met lust en leven. Wij overwegen een Michelin ster uit te vaardigen voor de beste snackbar van de Benelux 😀 Hier vind je nog een authentiek snackbar gevoel op z'n Nederlands met het accent op Amsterdam Noord, natuurlijk!

Ik kom er al jaren. Heerlijke friet en vriendelijke mensen. Kleine minpuntje: De laatste tijd is helaas de friet een beetje aan de bleke kant, mag wat mij betreft iets langer in de olie pruttelen zodat ze wat bruiner worden. Voor de rest beste frietzaak in Amsterdam!!

Aardige mensen, eten was matig. Je wordt wel iedere keer voor 15 eurocent opgelicht. Betaal iedere keer 15 cent te veel. Reken maar uit als je 100 klanten per dag hebt..
