I arrived at Schiphol Airport at 5 o'clock, took a train and a bus, and... it was still too dark around here, so I was looking for a nearby cafe!!!!!!! and I found this great bakery 🥳🥳🥳 Even though it's early in the morning, there are a lot of customers! It's spinach bread, and it's so delicious.

The most beautiful warm and inviting bakery with divine breads and pastries daily and the best cappuccino I've ever tasted strong but creamily delicious. Lovely staff! Fabulous

Seven of us had breakfast here with friends. We were very pleased. One of the owners is Turkish, and Nisanur helped us order. We had a mozzarella and salmon sandwich. It was delicious, and we highly recommend it ♥️

The staff is so sweet and attentive. I had coffee and a croissant, and they were all delicious. The view of the mill and the atmosphere are truly beautiful. I highly recommend it.

Great bakery with the tastiest products!

Everything was delicious, with lots of options, and the cafeteria was beautiful! Friendly staff. The only thing was that it was very crowded and there was hardly any room to sit.

I'd heard great things about the sandwiches and had the chance to try them elsewhere. Now that we were in the area, eating in is much tastier. Friendly staff, a huge selection of sweet and savory sandwiches to eat in, and too many to buy to take home. Cozy interior, you can sit inside or outside. If you're visiting the Zaanse Schans, it's within walking distance. Much tastier and much cheaper than restaurants there. I'd say give it a try; you won't regret it.

Horrible service. We had asked a question about our order as when it was repeated back to us it was missing something. The woman then yelled at us that she had the order correct and was extremely rude. The coffee was also very watery. Do not recommend.

The food here is delicious, fresh, and absolutely delicious 👍. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Everything was perfect. Except for one older woman with a ponytail and glasses. She seemed in a bad mood, or maybe she was too busy. She was a bit rude to the guests. I hope she enjoys her job.

As soon as we walked into the coffee shop, we were greeted with genuine warmth and joy. Yvonne took the time to kindly explain each of the traditional Dutch treats on display, which made the experience even more special. Every staff member was incredibly friendly, and you could truly feel the love and care that went into everything they made. The food was exceptionally fresh and absolutely delicious. They offer a fantastic assortment of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. From the service to the flavors, everything was top-notch. We absolutely loved this and we highly recommend!!

There is an older lady working in the bakery. She is simply so sweet and nice and totally welcoming. She was nice to help us translate the various delicious things and totally service minded. Fantastic atmosphere and so nice that you can sit outside under the awning or inside if you wish. We were here 3 adults, 1 teenager and 1 baby.

Today I had so many nice compliments from the children, who ate the delicious sandwiches with gusto...as if they were eating in a 5 star restaurant....glowing faces, just like ours...thank you... I'm going to ask my mother if she can make these too...I want to do this every day! Oh, from 5 years old!

Some pressure to get there Never go there again and now I have read that they will also charge admission. Ridiculous decision because it's not that special. There is nowhere to sit and we quickly return home. Bakery was nice to see but not for a second time

The Muslim lady was very unfriendly. I asked her at the counter when ordering if there was a toilet, her answer was "yes on the other side of the bridge" I then immediately found a toilet for my family in the Wolfsend restaurant and everything was great. In the shop Het Zaanse Bakkertjie, the pastries are just ok, the service is very unfriendly and I felt a discriminatory attitude towards us.

Food and drinks were nice, chai latte was a bit like a glass of milk. Smoking outdoors at the tables isn't allowed even though they are on the street. But there is no bathroom!!! This is really bad for a shop that is NOT take away.

The people that work there are extremely nice, the food is really tasty and the environment is very cozy and peaceful! It's a coffee shop that moves mountains and heavens to make everything possible. One of the best parts of our trip to Netherlands! Truly recommend stopping by!

Amazing small cafe boulangerie! The cappuccino was frothy and well made. Dare I say that the sausage roll here easily rivals its Brittanic counterpart, arguably even better as the filling was soft & flavourful with a fluffy yet crunchy pastry + the staff were lovely

Unexpected vegan / veggie bakery nearby the windmills of Zaanse!

I couldn’t believe how many amazing vegan options they had! Went for the vegan pesto swirl and the vegan raspberry pie and both were incredibly delicious. Wish it was closer to the centre so I could come again during my stay.

We had a lovely lunch yesterday among the scenic and historical corner of the legendary Zaanse Schans Windmill village in such lovely fall weather. A review is a must to pay back to the lovely pastries of Het Zaanse Bakkertje and at the same time lends others some comfort of mind to choose this place for lunch or little stop-over. Although in due respect, they open from 7am so they offer early breakfast. Unfortunately, closing is at 3pm and they only open Wednesday to Saturday so this can be a little hit and miss for the tourists if they arrive on the other days. We had a Turkish pizza stuffed with lettuce and onions, a curry flavored and spinach Su börek, an omelette sandwhich with vey fluffy egg meat and a pumpkin spice latte which blends well with all the above flavors. All the savory pastries were a delight and I just love the Borek crust but a little less oil would be more appreciated. The bakery offers a wide range of both vegan and non-vegan savory and sweet pastries and cakes and such a great selection of baguettes and bread and to compliment it all they also offer drinks. Finally, the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Service is really top notch for a tourist location. After all, the bakery is more known to serve the locals.

Way too expensive. I had some sandwiches, they were okay but not particularly tasty. And you expect that with those prices.

Stopped in the morning on way to Zaanse Schans and had a lovely spinach n cheese borek and a salami and cheese sandwich and a Dutch almond cookie (gevulde koek) all very nice and so we're the ladies in the shop. Then stopped in again on way back to our campervan and I had twisted my ankle at the windmills, the lovely ladies gave me some ice and then wrapped my ankle with a bandage at No charge. Very grateful for their help and understanding. Would recommend this lovely little place on its baked goods and coffee but the fact the went above and beyond to help me, makes this place a real little Gem. Definitely visit if you are in the area.

The thrill of walking among the windmills is priceless, I had the pleasure of going back in time. In particular, you can visit the entire mill and see the millstone and go up to the top floor where you can enjoy a wonderful view.

Came to this bakery during my visit to Zaanse Schans for the historic windmills. I had a coffee and a couple of pastries that were really delicious! I also noticed that they had a lot of vegan option. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch during your visit to this area!

Wow, it took them a while to heat up the bread and make two drinks but it was worth it, the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. The lemon croissant has no comparison and the saucijzenbroodje and their börek are a solid 10!!!

I’m from the USA, traveled to 7 countries and this was the BEST sandwich i have ever had in my life. The pastries were incredible as well. I’ll be dreaming of this sandwich until i can eat it again. I just wish i could remember what it was called or what was in it.

Very tasty but very expensive, actually ridiculous.....these are simply exploited prices for tourists. Poor tourists.

Incredible authentic Dutch bakery. The food tastes so fresh and the pastry melts in your mouth. Two server (with very short blonde hair) is extremely friendly as was the owner. If you're in the area, come here for lunch or dessert!

Some tasty salty snacks and sweet pastries. Quite busy at lunch time but once you have paid they give you a ticket so you can seat and they bring your order when it's ready. The coffee is quite good as well.

The food looked delicious, but when searching online, this bakery came up for their gluten-free options. Unfortunately they didn't offer that. Otherwise it would certainly have been tasty.
