Had a great bowl of bami for a good price, and the staff was friendly too. What more could you ask for?

I was with a Chinese group, the driver got takeaway food and included a cola (at the time of writing this review it is mid-April 2025). The food was very poor.

Very good and very nice people. I always pick up. There are also a few tables to eat at. Not really a restaurant.

I want to try because the delivery food is delicious. The place is not the best to eat, it is small. The fried rice was tasty and delicious but the portion was normal. My partner took a vegetarian option, vegetables with tofu, but it was only one type of vegetable. The food is nice, I highly recommended for takeaway

You go here for the food. That is of top quality. The meat is chopped in front of you and it tastes great. The atmosphere of the restaurant is “pragmatic” 😂. Bring cash.

A place where we can eat "real" Chinese food, as a Chinese friend of mine puts it. Indeed it was, I was satisfied with everything I ate. Also, when leaving, the woman working there gave each of us a tangerine as a gift. It was so sweet!

Gezellig zittten kun je er niet echt, maar lekker eten wel! We bestellen dan ook meestal en eten het thuis op. Vooral het geroosterd spek is favoriet.

Eten voor twee besteld, want ik was met een vriend. Dit restaurant krijgt het met o.a. zeer hoge bezorgkosten van €3,99 voor elkaar om mij voor eten van €24,50 meer dan €30,- te laten betalen. Dan blijkt er bij de babi pangang spek helemaal geen babi pangangsaus te zitten. Het ergste was echter dat het eten bremzout was. Alleen de nasi al was erg zout. De babi spek sloeg echt alles. Ik weet gewoon zeker dat het in stukken gesneden kant-en-klare blokken gepekeld vlees was. Door het zeer zoute eten voelde ik mij echt beroerd worden, dus ik moest een deel weggooien. HORROR!!!

Meat dishes are heated in the microwave. Soy chicken is very tough and dry. Everything is very salty. Containers are not closed properly if you opt for a takeaway meal. All my bag while eating. There was an additional charge of €6.38 for plastic packaging material at checkout. Once never again. Threw it all away after tasting it.

Small cozy restaurant with good price. My favorite dish is the deep fried ribs. The marination was really good and the ribs were juicy. The eggplant was nice too. Fried rice noodle lacked a bit wok hay. But all in all price wise it was a great dinner!

Great foods & friendly service. We demolished our orders. It was really satisfying and yummy! They have a lot more delivery & take away order compares to dine in it seems. It’s a small restaurant with solid foods. It’s on my Utrecht’s asian foods list now :) Thank you Hing Kee!

The best (real) Chinese meals in Utrecht! All orders are freshly prepared, so you may have to wait a while until the food is ready. The prices are higher than at other Chinese restaurants, but this is reflected in the quality of the food. So if you want to eat greasy noodles and tasteless chicken for two days for little money, then this is not the place for you :)

Nice. Affordable. The duck sauce is little salty, but tasty. I recommend the eggplant, which is cooked in the traditional Chinese way.

Tricked by good comments from Google. Two person spent 58.25€. See comments below in both Chinese and English on 4 dishes that we ordered. 1. Salt and pepper chicken (Chinese menu): The fried chicken is cooked at a very good temperature, but the method is not the authentic salt and pepper seasoning, but a salty fried chicken based on Sichuan pepper powder. If you order a specialty crispy chicken, it can be said to be a good fried chicken with the store's special seasoning. Gebakken kip in peper en zout (dutch menu name): Nice fried chicken meat. But it is not typical chinese paper&salt flavor. I would agree more if they call this dish something like special fried chicken or sichuan paper and salty chicken. 2. Beef ball soup (Chinese menu): 4 meatballs of a certain brand that can be purchased at Oriental Bank, a few slices of Chinese cabbage, lard, pepper and salt to taste. Very greasy, lard lovers can try it. Beef meatballs soup (I don't know the name in dutch menu): 4 pieces of package meatball that you can find the whole package with similar price of this soup at Amazing Oriental, several pieces of Chinese cabbage, pork fat, white paper and salt. It's very fatty because of strong pork fat flavor. 3. Beef Fried Noodles (Chinese Menu): Only salty but not fragrant. The beef is cooked well but the noodles are not cooked well enough. For those who know a little bit about cooking, look for a Cantonese stir-fried noodle recipe. Your own stir-fry at home should be higher than this level. Chinese bami met gesneden beef (dutch menu): lack of tasty flavor, below average Cantonese style fried noddles. If you know how to cook Chinese in general, you can easily cook a nicer one at home after reading the recipe. 4. Stir-fried squid with seasonal vegetables (Chinese menu): The cuttlefish is used instead of squid, and the membrane is not removed; the seasonal vegetables are large Shanghai greens, which are very old and have serious moisture loss; paired with a few slices of carrots and fungus. The key point is that the Shanghai Green is not fried, only 3 minutes cooked at most, and thickened with oyster sauce. The taste and texture are indescribable. (extremely not recommended) Inktvis met Chinese groenten( dutch menu): vegetables were a lot of Shang hai pak choi and several pieces of carrot and fungal. Because pak choi were very badly undercooked, plus they were very matured (you can hardly bite them), they taste terrible . Besides, it was supposed to be squid instead of ink-fish according to Chinese menu… I felt terribly scammed.

Authentic Cantonese eatery! Don’t expect anything fancy regarding the decor. We are here for the food! Crunchy noodles is not on the menu but u can ask for it! Roasted pork-belly, char siu & soy sauce chicken is well executed! We will certainly come back again

One of the best Chinese places I have ever had! Always try to stop here when I’m in Utrecht and order the cha siew and babi pangang spek. Highly recommend

After not having been there for a number of years, I had been looking forward to going there all day. We especially went for the fried squid with salt and pepper. Other dishes included a combination dish with tsa sjiu and babi pangang with bacon. It was delicious and the family that runs the business is very friendly! Not your “normal Chinese-Indian restaurant”, but one that has that extra something in terms of taste and dishes. I'll be back here soon!

Flavour was good, but texture was not. Took way to long to serve. With the time they took, I'd expect better quality. The sweet and sour pork was obviously pre fried, texture was very chewy. For the stir fried veggies with beef, the carrot was not cooked through.

It was good experience of Chinese food in Utrecht. And it was authentic Chinese food.

Very tasty Cantonese Chinese! We come here regularly (or pick up). Also very nice staff. Our personal favorites: chicken with salt and pepper, and crispy noodles.

We had a great experience here today, very authentic and homely chinese dishes. The duck roast, udon noodles, fishball soup are a must try. The quantity is great too!!

The food is very tasty and authentic. If you look for something fancy over taste, you better look somewhere else. But if you are looking for delicious food, this is the place. They also have zhamian, a crispy fried noodle, which is not on the menu, but we asked for it and they made it for us!

Good food, but very pricey. Unfortunately, it is even worth driving to The Hague and ordering the same dish for the same price and quality, and it will be tens of thousands cheaper.

Ordered this delicous and authentic Chinese food for special occasion with family and friends. Always love the crispiness of their roasted pork, the juiciness and balance flavor of peking duch and their eggplant dish is super great as well!

The food was delicious with a good price-quality ratio. I arrived late but was still welcome to eat my meal there instead of taking it away. However, the attitude in terms of further friendliness was curt and distant. Too bad and definitely worth improving. If one succeeds in this, it is absolutely worthy of 5 stars.

Small tent of Cantonese origin with various good dishes, including roasted dishes and fresh Chinese vegetables. The stuffed bean curd is great. Corona has opened the doors again, perhaps nice to eat on site again.

Food is fine.. Always come from far away to get chicken salt/pepper. Not all dishes are great... But I do think that prices have become a bit more expensive. Shame.

If you're looking for the best Chinese in Utrecht, this is it! Everything we have tried from them was so flavorful. You can tell they cook with fresh ingredients. Price is great for the big portions of delicious food you get. I would highly recommend the nasi, babi pangang spek and the Udon bami.

I have been coming to Hing Kee regularly for many years. Always good quality and tasty authentic Chinese dishes. My favorites: Nasi Yeung Chow, Cha Sieuw, Fried chicken in salt and pepper. Sil Kai fan (Moksi Meti), Padded Tahoe. Highly recommended for pick up or delivery. After the lock-down you can also eat inside. The number of tables is limited and it is not really attractive. Perfect for collection or delivery.

Takeaway Toko. Prices in accordance with the dishes.!! This store also has regular customers in the region.

We komen hier vaak voor een bami met moski meti. Het vlees is erg lekker! Vooral de cha shieuw is lekker. De bami is best flauw van smaak. Wij halen altijd af. Nog nooit in het restaurant gegeten

Wij kwamen hier door de goede recensie, echter het viel ons erg tegen. De accommodatie is erg klein en ongezellig. Het eten is zeker niet slecht te noemen, maar de prijzen zijn relatief erg hoog. Dit is echt een plek voor een snelle hap en niet om gezellig uit eten te gaan, de rekening echter geeft een ander beeld, zullen hier niet weer naar toe gaan.

Sinds Paradijs weg is deze op aanraden van vrienden gewezen op bestaan. Nu gaan we geregeld uit eten met vrienden. Sfeer is huiskamer achtig, Reserveren is een MUST, is erg klein. Eten is vergelijkbaar als Paradijs. Prijs is schappelijk. Frisdrank komt in blik. Meeste mensen komen afhalen. Enige min punt is dat je alleen contant kan betalen.
