Staff not alert; I constantly had to draw attention from staff myself and ask for everything. Staff seemed uninterested, couldn't manage a smile, and made no eye contact. Food lukewarm and bland in taste.

We shared the steak platter and it was really great. The children also thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Highly recommended!

The food here is incredibly delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy. There is (often) some live music and the service is extremely friendly. There is a small playground for children.

August 2, 2026 Today we made a reservation at De Hoeve in Oirschot to go out for dinner and end our vacation on a pleasant note. We made a reservation because we wanted to be sure of a spot. We were allowed to choose a spot outside on the terrace; we did so and waited for the drinks order. Story short: after sitting for 15 minutes, and having been passed by waitstaff who weren't looking about 30 times, we decided to leave the restaurant. No apology or other proposal regarding customer loyalty was made when we pointed out at the bar that we hadn't been served for 15 minutes. There was also an option to order drinks via an app, but we deliberately chose not to; we prefer being seen. We drove to restaurant CIS in Boxtel, and the drinks order was taken after just 1 minute. That’s how it should be done. Unfortunately, a bad experience with Restaurant De Hoeve in Oirschot.

A very pleasant place to sit. Fast and friendly service; even when you order via the QR code on the table, the food and drinks are in front of you in no time. Beautiful natural surroundings and truly a top location to unwind! As the name suggests, the historic building of Hoeve 1827 originally dates back to the year 1827. Consequently, the authentic long-gable farmhouse still exudes characteristic Brabant heritage, beautifully combined with a modern hospitality concept and a spacious terrace surrounded by greenery. An absolute gem in the Brabant landscape!

We had a delicious meal; it was very busy there, but that didn't bother us.

Brabant coziness in a charming package! What a delightful place Hoeve 1827 is! The old, atmospheric building 🏡 with its multiple rooms makes it extra special – typically Brabant, as you would expect. Whether you are sitting on the lovely terrace 🌿 or inside in one of the cozy corners, you feel the warmth and hospitality everywhere. We enjoyed a delicious charcuterie board 🧀🍷 and the staff is not only hardworking but also super friendly. They really take the time for a chat, just like visiting family. And as if that weren't enough: they are incredibly dog-friendly! 🐕💕 Our four-legged friend felt just as welcome here as we did. During our visit, there was a party in one of the rooms, but instead of being a nuisance, it actually added to the cozy atmosphere. "Here you can say: ‘I’m here for the charcuterie board, but I’m staying for the atmosphere’ – and that is no empty promise, because in Brabant they know how to welcome a guest!" In short: highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a relaxed day out, with a great atmosphere, delicious food, and a genuine Brabant experience!

Restaurant De Verwennerij lives up to its name. There is a menu of options, but it can really be discussed if you have other (reasonable) wishes. The service is polite and people ask at appropriate times if everything is to your liking. The restaurant was practically full, but the layout is such that you are not bothered by the chattering from the other guests. Both meat and fish lovers will get their money's worth. The Eton Mess dessert with red fruit and meringues is truly sublime. Let yourself be pampered....

We had a delicious meal last night, served by friendly staff. The food was beautifully presented.

We went with a group of several people and it was very well taken care of. Although it was full and busy, we were not bothered by other guests. Everything (starters, intermediate courses, main courses, and desserts) was excellent. The spareribs, in particular, were praised by connoisseurs. Friendly service and we will definitely be back.

Good quality for a very decent price

A while back, we dined here with a group of nine. We made a reservation by phone for 5:00 PM (the earliest possible time) and mentioned that we'd like to eat around 5:30 PM, as two of our party had to leave early. This wasn't a problem over the phone. Once inside, we waited a long time for the menu, and they didn't come to take our order until around 5:30 PM (we opted for just one course, due to time constraints). Because time was short, one of the two people who had to leave early ordered a starter as a meal so she could finish it faster. The other eight ordered a main course. After about twenty minutes, the only starter arrived "already on the table," implying that our main courses would follow within a few minutes. Nothing could be further from the truth. The six-person party at the table next to us, who arrived at the same time, had already finished their food and left. Other tables were already eating or had finished their meals, while we were well ahead of them and hadn't seen any food yet. It was already 6:15 PM when a staff member came to ask if the chef could start preparing the main course! This took another half hour, and around 6:45 PM, instead of the previously agreed-upon time of 5:30 PM, we finally received our food. It wasn't until they were serving that the staff finally realized there were only eight main courses, that the woman with the only appetizer had nothing to eat, and that they should have served everyone at once. However, no apology was given. The other person who had to leave early had to eat their plate in three bites, as they were supposed to have left twenty minutes ago. Because we had already informed you by phone about the short time we had, and we felt it would be unnecessarily disruptive to point this out to you, we didn't raise this issue with anyone while we were waiting, except for the one time we had to ask for the menus ourselves, as we still hadn't received them after twenty minutes. When a woman at the checkout asked if everything was to our liking, we told her it had taken a very long time. "Oh," she simply said. Having to wait a while for our food is perfectly normal, but this was truly exceptional (we eat out regularly and rarely find ourselves sitting in a restaurant for an hour and a half to two hours before our food is served), especially considering our stated wish to be able to eat on time due to the limited time of two members of our party. The food tasted fine, and the location was excellent, which allowed us to overlook the number of wasps and flies inside. However, there were very few fries (two cones for eight people). There was also a problem with our drink order, making a single coffee took a good fifteen minutes, and according to the menu, a basket of bread was supposed to be included with a starter order, but they forgot (or omitted) it. All in all, we unfortunately didn't have the experience we were hoping for. Regarding the special mention of the reservation, the delayed menu, and the eight main courses and one starter, the staff clearly made a number of mistakes. An apology at the time would have softened this negative experience somewhat.

Yesterday we celebrated our 12.5th wedding anniversary at the restaurant with 23 people. Everything was perfectly arranged and the prices were reasonable.

We celebrated our wedding at De Hoeve, what a celebration! They thought of everything and took care of everything. The staff were hardworking, cheerful, dancing along, and customer-friendly. Yesterday, I went here for drinks with a large group. Because I had to leave early, I went to the bar to pay. The woman in question asked if I could wait a moment because she had a full tray to serve. She said she would come to me. When she didn't, I went back to the bar and asked again to pay. The woman in question told me to wait because she hadn't finished her round yet. I told her I was in a hurry because I had to leave. I told her I wanted to pay for two drinks. And again, she refused. Then she pulled the shaming card. "You're rude to me, and later you raise your voice," which I didn't do, by the way. I put cash on the bar and left. Apparently, it's a new weapon for certain young women to pull the shaming card when they're not happy with something. In this case: shame on her. Never come back here again.

It's noisy, no one cares about the customers. We never waited for the only suitable table to be cleared, although we asked the waiters about it.

Non existent service. You come with reservation to know that reservation is for inside. Ok, you are offered to seat outside if you find space. There is one table, which is not clean, you wait 10 min to have it cleaned and leave since no one comes. Place was quite packed and busy.. fine but then you should not accept new reservations

Food was ok but service was aweful. Took us 1.5 hours to get our food after twice mentioning we found out they totally forgot our order. They charged 4.5 euro for tap water and instead of 4.5 per wine glass charged 6.5 euro. Inside the burger was full of very bad tasting and old pulled pork. For kids they just had very unhealthy food and some steak . The steak was taste less . Yne ribeye was ok.

There was a problem with the reservation time for the family pedal train and the subsequent lunch. This was resolved to our complete satisfaction by a restaurant employee. Our family outing was therefore extended! Kudos to the woman (I've forgotten her name) who resolved this so smoothly. It turned out to be a fantastic day!

Our wedding took place at Hoeve 1827. We really enjoyed the day and that was partly because the great staff took care of everything and communicated well with our masters of ceremonies. Our guests enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. All in all a super nice and beautiful wedding location! Thank you for the wonderful day.

Coffee could be better, could move with the times a bit more

Actually almost all fine for a forest house. Nice beer menu, classic mainly Belgian beers. Bitterballen friendly priced. Food too. Ice coffee very nicely served, unfortunately the ice tea green from a lousy small glass, probably from the large bottle. Ordering via qr code works fine, they still come to the table to ask what you want. Real food was not possible with qr code but people were placed fine on the right table. Unfortunately I could not find a choice with paying via qr for tip. You will keep that in mind.

By chance. Discovered and super surprised. Nice location with large terrace. Service was excellent. We could choose whether we wanted to sit outside or inside. Because it was windy, the waitress reserved a table inside so we could always choose. Food was very tasty. We chose the steak plank. And this was sufficient. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back.

Stopped here by bike and had a drink, a nice place to have a drink but also to eat. These are still normal prices and friendly staff. It looks like a small museum, great.

From the first to the last bite everything was fresh, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The flavors are well matched, and you can taste the passion of the kitchen in every dish. Compliments to the chef! In addition, the atmosphere in the farm is cozy and warm, with a nice mix of rustic charm and modern coziness. Great food in a very cozy atmosphere with super friendly staff who also take the time for a chat. We opted for the planks for both starter and main course, delicious. We went home with a full belly. My dear friend had a dessert in the large one for children, but boy, that was more than enough with super delicious ice cream. Will definitely come back again, highly recommended.

Delicious food! It's nice that they also have a small soup on the menu. We had meat on the table. This is more than sufficient and of very good quality. I gave service 1 star less because I personally prefer to be served by, for example, 2 'permanent' employees than by all employees. You see so many different employees at your table. But they were all friendly and attentive!

The company's Christmas dinner with a full evening program, amuses, tapas and dinner with dessert. Very well organized and nice staff. Also a nice location to 'just go' for coffee or drinks.

Enjoyed the "planks". We had a plank for both the starter and the main course. The starter alone is almost a full meal. So it's not for small eaters. In any case, they serve generous portions. The staff is very pleasant and regularly comes by to ask if everything is OK. If you order a drink, it will be delivered to your table promptly. The restaurant is also attractively decorated and it is nice and warm.
