Great service and stuff, ok food

All the charm of the previous owners is gone👎 Starter and main course, a lot of frills and fuss (which is reflected in the bill) with a minimal menu for a small eatery. With 3 people, we got 1 small bowl of fries with the main course, so we ordered some extra fries, which was also visible on the bill. The service is supposed to exude the atmosphere of a Michelin-starred restaurant, which is indeed friendly, but otherwise it is just an ordinary restaurant with a very small menu. I have never eaten so expensively. Never again!!!

Too bad. 1st Apperol perfect, 2nd one had more ice cubes, 3rd one was much more water than Aperol.

A lovely restaurant in the town center, opposite the church. Parking is available on the church square. We had a great lunch here with four people. We had a lovely, tasty lunch platter. Plenty of it and plenty of variety. Friendly service. Unfortunately, there's no toilet on the ground floor for guests with limited mobility. The owner explained that building additions are not permitted in the historic building. We left satisfied after a pleasant lunch. Highly recommended.

New owners with a fantastic menu and chef; we had a delicious meal and were surprised by the special menu. Dices not on the menu, a choice of a 3, 4, or 5-course menu. We rated all dishes between 9 and 10, and we will definitely return. According to the owners, the plan is to regularly update the menu to include something different. We're already looking forward to that.

The new owners have brought a new swing and class to this wonderful restaurant. We went back to try it on opening night, and what a fantastic experience! Super delicious and culinary food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. A whole new lease on life in this newly acquired restaurant. Truly classy! The evening was surprisingly busy due to Glow Oirschot, and the staff were under immense pressure, but this didn't detract from the quality of the food. It did take a little longer at the end, but the staff handled that with kindness and understanding. When you survive such a challenging baptism of fire, it truly exudes class. Keep up the good work, and we'll be back soon to enjoy it again.

We had such a wonderful time. The food was delicious, and the wine recommendations were excellent. Absolutely fantastic. A baptism of fire isn't easy, especially not during Glow Oirschot. But that didn't dampen the positive energy. Keep up the good work, and we'll definitely see you again soon!

A pleasant surprise, with, let's just say, good old-fashioned service and food. De Gelagkamer is a fine dining venue with delicious courses.

We had a wonderful meal with friends. It was very pleasant and they did everything they could to make us feel welcome.

The service was excellent. The amuse-bouche predicted a lot and immediately raised expectations. We opted for the chef's menu, which is a bit cheaper. This is reflected in the food served. The starter was a scallop. The presentation was beautiful, like a canvas. This was true for all the dishes, by the way. It was truly delicious, and the flavors surprised me. The main course was a duck breast with vegetables. I loved it. The dessert was truly the highlight. I was blown away by the explosion of flavors. It was the piece de resistance of the evening. We will definitely be back, but then à la carte. I'd rather pay a little more to try the other dishes, which all looked fantastic as well.

Had lunch with friends. The oysters were tasty but not completely cleaned properly. I got bits of shell in my mouth. The goat cheese salad was okay... it could have used a bit more lettuce and garnishes. The extra mousse that came with it was very tasty. The bread with tuna and crispy chicken looked delicious and was also delicious. The decor was simple but cozy. The restroom lacked atmosphere. A beautiful location in Oirschot and enough on the menu to make me want to come back.

This is a wonderful restaurant, and has been for several years. Delicious food and excellent service. The surprise menu is definitely recommended, but you can also order delicious dishes from the regular menu.

Made a stop at De Gelagkamer for lunch today. Because we found it a bit chilly outside, we decided to take a table inside. While studying the lunch menu, I already had a cup of mint tea. Well stocked with mint, but the water temperature could have been a bit higher for us. For lunch we had the "Lunch Plate" and "Two Burgundian Croquettes". The lunch plate consisted of a cup of tomato soup, an egg roll with a slice of ham and a thick slice of fresh brown bread with a Burgundian croquette. We thoroughly enjoyed both lunch dishes and were on the table quickly. Service was smooth and friendly. Quiet background music.

Wat komen we hier graag. Prima kaart, heerlijk eten, vriendelijke en prima service en altijd een glimlach. Heerlijke gerechten en prima wijnen. Met het gezin, met vrienden als we lekker willen eten is dit de place to be.

Omdat we ‘s middags al geluncht hadden gingen we voor wat voorgerechten. Mijn partner steak tartaar, heel tevreden. Ikzelf tonijn tataki: mooi opgemaakt, heerlijk van smaak, licht geschroeid en vers. Samen hadden we nog 5 asperges besteld, lekker vers in geklaarde boter en ook de frites lekker gebakken. Als nagerecht rabarber compote en gelagkamer blanche : lekker vanille ijs met chocolade en verse slagroom. Keuken: het was heerlijk.

wij zijn onlangs samen een lunch gaan gebruiken bij de gelagkamer er waren nog enkele tafels vrij , dus hebben we van die gelegenheid gebruik gemaakt. er kwam al snel iemand vriendelijk vragen of wij iets wilde bestellen , nou een drankje dat lusten wij wel en of we de luchkaart ook mochten inzien dat was geen probleem als snel hadden we besloten om de pikiante kip te bestellen die kwam al snel op tafel , en wij hebben er heerlijk van genoten. al met al willen wij een groot compliment geven aan de bediening en de kok dus mocht er iemand aan ons vragen wat onze bevinding was , dan geven wij die zeker een goede referentie , en wat ons betreft , zeker tot ziens

Last minute we decided to go out for dinner. Called but it was full (which makes sense). We agreed that they would call back if a spot became available. She called back after +/- 45 minutes to report that there was room available, they had actually already found something else but still went to the Gelagkamer. The hostess was super nice and helpful. Let us taste wines and took plenty of time to help us. The food was delicious! More exclusive and chic than an average restaurant. Very nice and cozy atmosphere!

Everything was right. Nice atmospheric restaurant. Friendly lady at the counter. Food very tasty. But I thought the prices were extremely high. I think 22 euros for 2 coffees and 1 spicy chicken sandwich is too much. Hence 1 star less. Definitely a nice place to drop in for lunch. The area is great for walking or cycling.

We bestelden de dagsoep, er werd gezegd dat deze vegetarisch zou zijn. We vonden hem heerlijk, echt een hele lekkere soep! Prima dus! Omdat we hem zo lekker vonden, vroegen we of we het recept zouden kunnen krijgen. We hadden niet de illusie dat dat zou gebeuren, maar niet geschoten is altijd mis! Alleen kregen we toen 3 ingrediënten te horen die er in zitten, waaronder kippenbouillon. We hadden nadrukkelijk gevraagd of hij vegetarisch was en nu bleek dat dat dus niet is. Aandachtspunt voor de keuken, want dit kan echt niet! Vandaar 1 groen bolletje minder!

A nice cozy restaurant in the beautiful center of Oirschot. Excellent hospitable reception. Cozy atmosphere, everything neat and clean. Not much choice on the menu. Delicious dishes that are unfortunately very small and also very expensive. When we had almost finished our ice cream, the chocolate sauce was served. Not to be repeated.

We could choose between a small or normal cup of pea soup, you expect a normal cup of soup, but it was the size of a cappuccino cup??? So small. There were two bare half slices of bread. We asked for butter, which was brought immediately, but we had to pay 1 euro for it. The soup was also charged incorrectly. 4x7.50 is 30.00 euros but there was 31.00 euros in the account. Too little for too much money.

Excellent service and good quality

During the fair in Oirschot, we sat on the terrace of De Gelagkamer. Not too pretentious or pompous, just an approachable homely atmosphere and mainly classic dishes on the menu. Perhaps because of this apparent modesty, I was almost surprised by the fantastic quality of the food. The layout immediately catches the eye and the flavors were perfectly at the right level. Enjoyed a delicious steak tartare, tender tenderloin with truffle gravy and a surprising dessert afterwards. Matching wine. Everything served with care and pleasure. What does a man want more? I would recommend it to everyone.

Too bad so much sauce on the dishes. Tip: add the sauce separately from the dish. You don't taste any meat or fish. You pay extra for fries. Table policy strange. Everything supposedly reserved. There are now enough empty tables reserved during the time we are there. Ha ha.

We wilden niet in de zon zitten en hadden onze stoelen in de schaduw gezet wat op dat moment kon. Totdat de uitbater kwam die ons op onbeschofte wijze toesprak omdat hij vond dat we asociaal breed uit zaten. Hij had het gewoon op vriendelijke wijze kunnen vragen of wij onze stoelen wilden opschuiven. Dat was voor ons geen probleem.

Very tasty food, especially the mussels. One of us wanted spare ribs, these were not on the menu, but the chef made them specially. There really is a feeling that the customer is king. Nice open terrace and friendly staff.

In a word: great! An exciting cuisine that surprises you one bite at a time. The amuse was a pleasant surprise, bread was delicious, but especially the starter with raw salmon was a taste experience. What do I see? What am I tasting? Dishes are beautifully prepared and taste delicious.

For someone from Ferrara the absence of bread is strange but white asparagus is out of this world. Excellent Italian wines. The staff is extraordinarily kind and highly professional. Compliments!

Nice place, reminiscent of an old café-restaurant. It is difficult for disabled people to go upstairs to the toilet. I have to say that I didn't specifically ask for this either.
