Very good dim sum. We went on a Saturday and the place was fully booked. We wanted to change our reservation and the people of the restaurant kindly moved it and kept our table empty until we were able to come. Very sweet! The food was really good as well

Very noisy, expensive and for a taste sensation you don't have to be here anymore. Ask for sambal and or aromat yourself to bring the food to some taste. Compared to other places on the Nieuwmarkt the service here is great! Been there more often, too bad that review is no longer there where I already thought the chef is on vacation. + service + clean toilets

I went to dinner alone and was served very quickly. They gave me a table for four because there was no smaller one, and they were very friendly throughout, with a smile from the moment I entered and attentive. The food was very good. I ordered veal with vegetables and rice.

Hoi Tin is right in the middle of the tourist area, so it’s convenient but pretty busy. The dim sum and other dishes were just okay—flavors and presentation were both unremarkable. Unfortunately, the service was on the bad side, feeling rushed and inattentive. Not terrible, but nothing to rave about either. If you’re nearby and need a quick meal, it does the job, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit.

Amazing food, I especially loved their Singapore pork dumplings!! I tried so many whilst on holiday in the Netherlands and these were the best by far. I hope I can come back again sometime :)

The food was disappointing. I ordered chicken corn soup. It was tasteless. I also had the fried thick noodles with beef in soy sauce - the noodles were soggy and the dish was not satisfying. My uncle ordered the Hoi Tin style crispy egg noodles and that was the only dish that was actually ok. The only positive was that the food came within like 5 minutes of ordering.

Surprisingly this was very good - feels strangely authentic for the location. Tasty BBQ buns. Not as good as my favorites in Hong Kong but very solid! Would dine again.

Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. A bit expensive but large portions and very tasty. We ordered chicken dim sum which was excellent, a dish of chicken in cashew which was really excellent, and a dish of beef with wide rice noodles which was also very tasty, but the wide noodles were less successful in our opinion. The atmosphere in the restaurant is calm and quiet, which is a wonderful contrast to the busy crowd of the street. The waiters are all nice and kind. In conclusion - a great surprise and a very successful experience.

A very good Hong Kong cuisine restaurant with exceptionally fine service. The eggplant salted fish clay pot is wonderfully delicious … the eggplant is thinly sliced, tender and very fragrant … they’re also generous with steamed rice which is a huge plus as it is off putting to be charged EUR4 at some other places. We found the shrimp dumpling noodles a little disappointing. The broth was overly salty and made simply with chicken powder as opposed to house made and the dumplings were much smaller than the competitor’s next door (which is also EUR5 cheaper). We would return to Hoi Tin anytime but if you’re looking for noodle soup, I’d definitely recommend the other restaurant a few doors away.

1st visit: + EVERYTHING was EXCEPTIONAL. + Food was SO GOOD (char siu stir-fried with vegetables, duck & pancake 10/10,..) + Dimsum: I prefer oriental city over Hoi Tin. For Hoi Tin, the other dishes are better 2nd visit: Around 6PM + Can not get in + So crowded: 9-10 families waiting before us => Can not get in :( 3rd visit: take out + Food was mediocre, not as tasty :( + Bit pricey considering the quantity - price ratio + Plus all costs for packaging: €€€ (plastic bag & plastic containers are all with more costs added). Would recommend to just eat the restaurant.

Nice Chinese Food we tried in Amsterdam Chinatown area. We ordered the Mixed Meat with Shrimp and Vegetables in Teppan Sizzling Plate, Stewed Mixed Seafood with Tofu in Claypot, and Chicken in Oyster Sauce with Tofu, Broccoli and Shitake. All food we ordered were delicious and tasty, ingredients were fresh, and portions are generous. Price are reasonable. Service was quick and efficient. Staff are accommodating. Recommended.

Terrible service. I ordered 4 food, but only 3 came. I have waited for very long time. I asked a lady who helped me to order if she missed one. She went to the computer and made a new order and came back and said it's ordered. I said if you just made the order, I can't wait that long, because I need to catch the train. She said Ok I can help you to cancel with cold face. Exm..? You made a mistake, but no apology？ When I asked for the bill, a guy came and ask is every good. I said the situation. He went to check and came to me said ok, it's not on the bill. ????

What a disappointment! As residents of Amsterdam, we thought we would go to an authentic Chinese restaurant on the Zeedijk. Four mini spring rolls for 15 euros??? Popped onto a plate without any frills... and the teppan main courses... first boil the chicken and meat and then put it in the wok?? Tasteless and prepared without love. Will never come here again. And anything but low budget. About 45 euros per person for a starter and main course.

Got several sandwiches and if you fancy savory then the Pork buns are incredibly tasty. We were 18 people and had taken everything. However, the majority indicated that they would like to eat two more after eating one. They have a bakery inside here. When you enter you will see a small counter. However, they make certain products such as pork buns throughout the day. You can order certain specialties in advance. Their website looks great too, by the way.

Is the Cantonese food in the Netherlands so bad now? I’m so disappointed. Their Peking duck is really good, but the others are really not that good.

Went to hoi tin on a whim, but it was crowded AF. Luckily the bakery part was a bit more accessible.

Ate with the two of them but this was not a success!! Beijing duck was more fatty than duck... the Chinese tea tasted like perfume, the noodles were noodles but certainly nothing special... a jar of noodles (in which you have to pour hot water) from the supermarket comes very close... Atmosphere? There was a guest in the restaurant drinking whiskey and also vaping while the staff said nothing about it!? Normally I say something about this, but in this case (on the sea wall) I thought this was too inappropriate because this guy was already far gone!! The bill was 85 euros but I certainly didn't think it was worth it!! On the way home I bought delicious noodles with BBQ chicken for 10 euros at Tokoman (also on Zeedijk) and luckily I still ate something tasty that evening!

I have been coming to the bakery for years. Bought various savory and sweet snacks. Pork bun and pork pie are generously filled and taste good. Definitely recommended. I don't like egg tart as much as I used to. The ratio of the fried sesame ball to bean paste was wrong. That was disappointing.

Hoi Tin is a great place to eat! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The service is fast, and the food arrives quickly. The food itself is tasty, and the portions are big! I usually share with a friend, we pick one veggie dish, one meat dish, and a small bowl of soup, and it’s more than enough since rice is already included. Definitely a great spot for a satisfying meal!

Went there for dinner without reservation on Saturday. We waited 10 minutes and the staff was very friendly. My favourite were crispy prawns and rice! The beef and dumplings were okay. I would definitely come back for the prawns. I'm curious about packing duck, it looked very good. Might try it next time.

The so hyped buns aren’t bad, but I won’t go back for them again. I prefer to eat these kind of fillings with rice. It’s some kind of a Chinese version of shoarma, pita, so if you are into a fast food like that it’s definitely a good choice. Buns are soft and slightly sweet. Very affordable

Authentic chinese restaurant. Kitchen is quite fast even when the place is packed. Service is equally quick and friendly. Overall we found the food a bit too fatty. The restaurant was packed, and due to the rain a bit dirty. The interior looks worn out, a good refresher is due. Prices were good.

We had two dim sum and one noodle soup with two toppings (roast pork and duck), plus hot tea. 37 euros. Our food came quickly and the service was good. After trying another dim sum place nearby, confirmed we were lucky in first try with Hoi Tin.

The toilets are very clean and modern The dishes were amazing and their milk tea is indeed made in-house 🥹🥹 We left super stuffed and satisfied and would come back again anytime!

As a Chinese, I have to say this is a not-bad Chinese food restaurant you can get from a foreign country. Only one thing disappointed me is Chicken feet and steamed ribs tasteless. , the meat and skin of the roast duck are too thick and the dough is very hard, the rice roll skin is too thick. Recommend the XO sauce carrot cake.

I have been coming here for dim sum dinner with family and friends for several years. Everyone loves the food, whatever we choose. The staff is also very nice, helpful and creates a nice atmosphere.
