Great beer list, nice location, very mediocre service. We struggled to order and drink two beers in two and a half hours. When ordering the second beer, we clearly indicated we were there to try more beers, but after sitting for over 45 minutes with an empty glass for the second time, while the bartender was more busy with his colleague and trying to please the guests at the bar, we went home. Maybe it's better on weekends, but unfortunately, it's a bit of a disappointment during the week.

Nice tent, nice beers and other drinks.. And above all many nice people behind the bar! six stars if it could.!

A fantastic bar in a cellar. It has a wonderful, relaxed ambience, with chilled out jazz vibes. There is very extensive choice of beers and spirits but the best bit about this place is the friendliness and knowledge of the staff.

What a place, Sem rocks the bar and always helps me with my Whisky selection. Amazing service with a wonderful personal touch! One of the truly most honest and best hospitable places in The Hague. I will recomend this place to all my friends and familie when they are in The Hague!

Favorite pub in the Hague! It has the cosiest interior with a heart-warming oaky smell and a welcoming dim lighting everywhere. The bar staff really know their spirits and will guide you through the grand selection of beers and whiskeys they have. Their snacks are quite different than your regular bar's and are all tasty! My favorites are the cheese platter, the meatballs, and the garlic bread. Don't skip to play some dart and try the house blond beer as well:).

Although it's been a while since our visit, I felt compelled to leave a review for Hoppzak. As Germans, we found ourselves in this bar one evening among a crowd of locals. The atmosphere was wonderfully intimate, and the incredibly cool owner guided us through their selection with expert knowledge. Engaging with the local patrons was a delight, and as the night progressed, Dutch folk songs filled the air – my partner and I found ourselves right in the middle of it all. The vibe was indescribably fantastic; it was truly the best evening I've had in a bar. A big thank you to the team behind the bar for providing such a memorable experience. We felt perfectly at home.

Nice atmosphere, but service is bad. Music randomly was way too loud (cause waiters felt like partying), to a level you can’t hear your friends talking. Also they gave us the wrong bill which was almost double the price of what we we’re supposed to pay. So good vibe, but waiters are a bit too self-oriented

Top tent. Altijd bijzondere speciaal biertjes zowel van de tap als op de fles. Bediening ook altijd op en top. Desondanks de drukte word het biertje naar je tafel gebracht. Vriendelijk bar personeel wat altijd de tijd maakt om een praatje te maken.

Gezellige kelder! Spijtig dat we per ongeluk één van de duurste biertjes bestelden die ze hadden. Hij was wel erg lekker!

Great place to enjoy a lot of different beers. The selection of beers and is more then plenty to entertain the professional beer afficionado. The volume of the crowd in the bar gets quite loud, so keep that in mind if you want a quiet conversation.

This place is dope. Super cozy and welcoming and the selection of beer is irresistible. Also noticed that they have vegan toast on menu so even better.

Erg fijn biercafe met heel veel bieren. Eigenaar is erg aardig en weet een hoop te vertellen bij elk biertje en kan er zeker één aanraden als je beschrijft wat je lekker vind. Het is er altijd precies druk genoeg zonder dat het vervelend is. Deze kroeg is niet voor niks mijn stamkroeg!

Awesome hidden basement bar with friendly bartender. Lots of beer choices. It was empty when I was there, many thanks to the bartender for entertaining me.

Ik kom hier altijd graag. Het personeel is vakkundig en weet je altijd wel wat te vertellen over de tig bieren die ze serveren. De sfeer is gezellig en laagdrempelig, en er wordt goede muziek gedraaid. Een échte bruine kroeg, die worden zeldzaam…

Awesome bar, with an awesome bartender. As a coeliac I really miss drinking beer.. and usually not a lot of options. Here they had 3 options, and even a 4th that wasn't on the menu yet! Needless to say that I had a great evening!

Knus en gezellig barretje. Heel veel opties om te drinken. O.a. speciaalbier en whisky. Had maar tijd om er eentje te drinken, maar volgende keer als ik Den Haag ben doe ik er zeker nog eentje.

Enorme selectie aan speciaal bier en een barman die er genoeg van weet. Ook lekkere hapjes.

Goede sfeer, kom zeker nog eens terug.

Een fijn biercafe, waar je terecht kunt voor de bekende maar ook de mindere bekende bieren (en andere dranken, maar daar waag ik me niet aan) Het personeel is zoals het hoort. Vriendelijk, professioneel en zeer klantgericht. Zeker een aanrader!
