Absurd prices, 4.75 for a small glass of juice and almost 2 euros for such a small glass of lemonade, bizarre. You'd be better off changing your name to Mykonos in the Forest.

A beautiful hidden gem inside a park in Diemen, a charming town right next to Amsterdam. It’s the perfect atmosphere to chill out and an ideal spot for a relaxing reading day. The venue is wonderful for both cozy, cold weather indoors and beautiful sunny days outside, where you will be completely surrounded by nature.Highly recommended!

Had a lovely lunch with friends at House of Bird in the Diemerbos. The service was relaxed, friendly, and nice and quick, exactly as you hope, without any hassle or rush. The food was simply good and the location is ideal: afterwards, you can just pop into the woods for a short walk. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back here again.

This afternoon, after a walk with the dog in the Diemense Bos, we enjoyed a lovely drink and a few snacks. Cozy atmosphere, lots of other dog lovers. Top location. And ... parking is simply free; not the most important thing, but still nice.

Ordering with the QR code was super easy, and service was quick after that. Unfortunately, the onion soup tasted like petroleum. But that might just be me. The steak was amazing, as was the salad.

Great place with tasty beers. Very nice terrace with a kids' playground. Unfortunately, there has been little variety in the food in recent years. And the staff seems increasingly less engaged and helpful.

Beautiful location, delicious food

Stopped here for a few snacks and everything was freshly made, properly tasty and full of flavour. The coffee was good too, and being able to grab a coffee to go and walk straight into the surrounding nature is a real strength of the location. A good break stop for a walk, or a casual meet-up with friends, which I will come back to. The apple tart and cappuccino combination was the highlight, at around 8 EUR for both, fair for what arrived. The one frustration is that it is so popular that finding a seat outside in the sun is a struggle on busy days, and either some additional tables or a different mix of smaller tables would help spread the crowd better. Minor in the broader picture, since the place itself does the important things well.

There was a children's festival today, which was great fun for families. However, that did mean that a few dishes on the menu could not be ordered. I found the service a bit disorganized, but the young people were nice. The food is absolutely delicious! Nice play area outside for children. Large terrace and nice seating inside!

Great atmosphere outdoors. Service is spotty. We ordered drinks (self service QR) first- just two small beers, then later ordered food. The food game out first. We then had to chase for our drinks (again, just beer, nothing fancy) and got extremely rude responses. Beer came 25 minutes after ordering, and after already eating most of our meal. Slow service can happen, but the rude reactions when checking on it was not normal.

I wanted to have a birthday lunch with my family at House of Bird. The weather was beautiful, so we looked for a spot outside with a group of 10 adults and 1 baby. There was one large table left, but it was in the sun and the parasol wasn't allowed to be opened. Eventually, we found a table somewhere else. We ordered drinks and food via a QR code. The food for three family members didn't arrive. We went to ask twice. The first time, we were told it would come, and the second time, we were told that everything had already been delivered. In the end, it still hadn't been brought 1 hour and 20 minutes after ordering. We received a refund and apologies were made. Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience! They could have offered a free drink, at the very least.

Great spot overall. A bit far out, so either commit to the bike ride or just accept your fate and drive there. Very kid-friendly with loads of outdoor space, and you can walk straight into Diemerbos from there if you want to pretend you’re the kind of person who casually does nature trails after snacks and beers. Big spacious place, ordering is done through QR codes so the whole process is fast and painless. Drinks selection is solid, food is decent, but the snacks are carrying the team in the best way possible. Easy place to spend a whole afternoon.

Food fine, service too impatient; they came to ask if we were finished while family members were still eating. Unwelcoming and a shame. Last time. The cherry on top: a lime slice for 35 cents on the bill??!!! Get real.

The food is so disappointing; the avocado toast is so sour that it isn't fresh or is even past its expiration date.

The food we received was cold, and we had to send back almost every dish (soup, toasted sandwich, flammkuche). It was very busy at lunchtime, but surely these kinds of simple dishes should be perfectly fine to serve hot.

Visited on April 9th. Tables were piled high with plates and glasses. A complete mess. When we helped clear the table ourselves (which is fine to do when it's busy), we asked if someone could wipe it down. The young waiter didn't have time for that. Service is poor time after time. A real shame.

The restaurant is conveniently located near the Diemerbos. Be sure to reserve in advance as it can get very busy. The food is quite expensive. I had a very good meal there once, but another time the quantity relative to the price was not favorable.

Unexpected and amazing find during my bike ride. I was so pleasantly surprised I found this place. Food is great, ambiance is too!

On the first sunny spring day, we sat here wonderfully after a long walk through the Diemerbos. The tuna melt was tasty and was served quickly, just like the drinks. Although it was very busy, we still felt served quickly!

Easter brunch. veeeery mediocre. No attention from the staff. There were plenty of them, though. And the place wasn't too busy. No explanation for the €35 platter !!!!!! What are we actually eating? A croissant, a toast with spread, and two mini rolls. And a small soup. Vegetarian = the salmon removed from the toast. Otherwise, no difference. Nice for Easter. A cold, peeled hard-boiled egg. With 7 people at the table. 6 glasses of juice placed on the table and they just walked away. Young boys and girls without any supervision. Had a reasonable experience there before. This was just really not good. We won't be going back there for a while.

We had a lovely walk in the area and ate at House of Birds. The pastry, carrot cake, and brownie were tasty; we had lunch. Flammkuchen is highly recommended. What is nice is that for every dish, they protect/create 1m² of nature. The music was a bit too loud and the door doesn't have a door closer (it seems), so it regularly stayed open. Lots of friendly staff. You could sit inside or outside.

Due to poor planning on their part, my reservation for Friday (made well in advance) was cancelled. It is remarkable that I would be able to come with 2 people at 17:00 (which I cannot do due to a work appointment), but that 17:30 is not possible with them.

I thought, come on, I'll give it another try. After being lectured by a teenager about a reservation sign on our table that had fallen over and become illegible because he had dumped it somewhere at the back, I was thankfully able to go home! Glad about that, because the beer is probably still as lousy as it was 3 years ago! It's a shame that many young people in the hospitality industry apparently don't learn any manners at home anymore!

Cozy, child-friendly place to enjoy a bite or drink indoors or outdoors. Order via a QR code on the tables, followed by prompt service and delicious dishes; not to be missed after a trip to the petting zoo or the Diemerbos. For lunch, the "12 o'clock special" is recommended: soup, bread with a fried egg and a croquette; the "salad" was nothing special, just some grated raw vegetables without dressing.

We stayed here for a business event, and everything was perfectly organized. Plenty of free parking nearby. Delicious home-brewed beer. Friendly staff!

I just found the path there very muddy; my shoes got completely dirty! Otherwise, it's a nice, cozy place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and a pastry.

A very cozy place to eat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We sat inside, and it was warm enough for October. Dogs are welcome, so for the first five minutes we smelled the dog that had sat at the table before us, but after that, it was gone.

The Thai soup was delicious, the loaded fries were too much rengdang, and my son-in-law's dish wasn't served; they'd forgotten! And making a reservation wasn't possible because the system was already set to winter opening hours.

A place to catch your breath after a walk

It's nice once you've ordered, but I find scanning the QR code to order impersonal. Unless you do that, you're not really welcomed.

All about taking good care of our planet, with tons of different selections of their homebrews, Bird. A lovely place in the middle of Diemerbos, one we would’ve known but by pure chance while bicycling through the other day.

The food was great. The rolls were very good for the Netherlands.

A lovely, spacious spot in the woods. Highly recommended for a delicious beer from their own brewery and a break from the bustling city, with or without children, a dog, or a motorcycle. I haven't been there in a few years, but last time the oh-so-friendly menu, with equally friendly prices for the little ones, seemed a bit less appealing. Around 10 euros for a simple grilled cheese sandwich. The food seems fresh, but it's expensive. So I didn't eat it.

Delightful little brewpub set in a nice woodsy park. Interesting selection of their own beers, the usual Dutch bar menu, and plenty of playground goodness for the kiddiewinkies.

The food was okay, but overpriced for what you get. A tablespoon of salad, 10 fries, and a medium-sized hamburger with a strip of bacon, all on a platter for €25.25. This isn't a good price-quality ratio.

Had lunch outside. It was a pain that you had to use a QR code for everything with your phone. The food was good. The tables, etc., could have been a bit cleaner.

Unfortunately this is not anymore what it used to be. I loved going there for a few years. It’s now overpriced and the food seems to be less of quality. The nachos are a joke. 13€ for a plate full of chips and enough cheese (barely melted) for only 5 of them…. Also not enough sauce for the total amount of nachos. The peppers are not jalapeño anymore too. Where was the spicy. The place is still very nice to see though. But unfortunately for me. It was the last time there. Could be okay if the prices weren’t that high.

On cold rainy days it's awesome to sit inside with hot chocolate and some cake, and in the summer the terrace is where everyone wants to be, and it's huge. The staff is really nice. It's dog friendly and kid friendly and friendly in general. Awesome spot.

A culinary surprise! The dishes were refined and full of flavor, presented with attention to detail. The service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. A place you'll happily return to.

Today we had lunch at House of Bird for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful location near the parking lot. Outside, there were plenty of different seating options in the sun and shade. The food was delicious, and we'd definitely come back for that. What really bothered us was the large number of dogs running around freely on the terrace, surrounded by small children. Dogs pee on everything, poles, and tables. We even saw a dog lying on the table. It's far from hygienic, and the staff just stands there and watches (literally). If you can't stand cigarette smoke, you might want to avoid this place, as people smoke like crazy and have no consideration for others. In short: a nice place, good food, but very unsociable customers.

We both had the beef burger but were very disappointed. Could taste it was a frozen burger and the bun was so-so. Really expensive for a burger too (22€), expected something better for that price. Beers and fries were good. Had the Flammkuchen and bread and dips before and these are good too.
