We stayed here for a business event, and everything was perfectly organized. Plenty of free parking nearby. Delicious home-brewed beer. Friendly staff!

A very cozy place to eat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We sat inside, and it was warm enough for October. Dogs are welcome, so for the first five minutes we smelled the dog that had sat at the table before us, but after that, it was gone.

The Thai soup was delicious, the loaded fries were too much rengdang, and my son-in-law's dish wasn't served; they'd forgotten! And making a reservation wasn't possible because the system was already set to winter opening hours.

A really nice place for lunch, dinner, or drinks. Casual atmosphere and meticulous attention to detail. For example: children can order a free single plate so they can eat with the adults. Great service and hospitality!

It's nice once you've ordered, but I find scanning the QR code to order impersonal. Unless you do that, you're not really welcomed.

A place to catch your breath after a walk

All about taking good care of our planet, with tons of different selections of their homebrews, Bird. A lovely place in the middle of Diemerbos, one we would’ve known but by pure chance while bicycling through the other day.

The food was great. The rolls were very good for the Netherlands.

A lovely, spacious spot in the woods. Highly recommended for a delicious beer from their own brewery and a break from the bustling city, with or without children, a dog, or a motorcycle. I haven't been there in a few years, but last time the oh-so-friendly menu, with equally friendly prices for the little ones, seemed a bit less appealing. Around 10 euros for a simple grilled cheese sandwich. The food seems fresh, but it's expensive. So I didn't eat it.

Delightful little brewpub set in a nice woodsy park. Interesting selection of their own beers, the usual Dutch bar menu, and plenty of playground goodness for the kiddiewinkies.

The food was okay, but overpriced for what you get. A tablespoon of salad, 10 fries, and a medium-sized hamburger with a strip of bacon, all on a platter for €25.25. This isn't a good price-quality ratio.

Had lunch outside. It was a pain that you had to use a QR code for everything with your phone. The food was good. The tables, etc., could have been a bit cleaner.

Unfortunately this is not anymore what it used to be. I loved going there for a few years. It’s now overpriced and the food seems to be less of quality. The nachos are a joke. 13€ for a plate full of chips and enough cheese (barely melted) for only 5 of them…. Also not enough sauce for the total amount of nachos. The peppers are not jalapeño anymore too. Where was the spicy. The place is still very nice to see though. But unfortunately for me. It was the last time there. Could be okay if the prices weren’t that high.

Great for beer and snacks, but not really a restaurant. On cold rainy days it's awesome to sit inside with hot chocolate and some cake, and in the summer the terrace is where everyone wants to be, and it's huge. The staff is really nice. It's dog friendly and kid friendly and friendly in general. Awesome spot.

Today we had lunch at House of Bird for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful location near the parking lot. Outside, there were plenty of different seating options in the sun and shade. The food was delicious, and we'd definitely come back for that. What really bothered us was the large number of dogs running around freely on the terrace, surrounded by small children. Dogs pee on everything, poles, and tables. We even saw a dog lying on the table. It's far from hygienic, and the staff just stands there and watches (literally). If you can't stand cigarette smoke, you might want to avoid this place, as people smoke like crazy and have no consideration for others. In short: a nice place, good food, but very unsociable customers.

We both had the beef burger but were very disappointed. Could taste it was a frozen burger and the bun was so-so. Really expensive for a burger too (22€), expected something better for that price. Beers and fries were good. Had the Flammkuchen and bread and dips before and these are good too.

Lunch in an enchanted forest... with bonus wedding Haus of Bird in Diemen feels like you’ve wandered into a Pinterest board. Think twinkly fairy lights, cozy wooden corners, and forest vibes that whisper, “you’re about to eat something magical.” We came for lunch and left with full bellies and a front-row seat to someone’s wedding. Yep, while we were debating who got the last bite of flammkuchen with burrata and coppa di parma, someone said “I do” a few meters away. Talk about dinner and a show. Food highlights: 🥑 Avocado with salmon – because we’re classy like that. 🔥 Flammkuchen with burrata & coppa di parma – basically a delicious edible Instagram filter. 🥚 The gluten-free bread with egg and bacon – bless them for catering to our gluten-avoiding friend. 🇳🇱 And of course, the iconic 12-uurtje – for the indecisive Dutchie in all of us. It was lightly raining, which only added to the enchanted woodland fantasy. The whole place felt like a scene from a romantic comedy where we were the quirky side characters who showed up for lunch and accidentally became part of the love story. Would 100% return. Next time, we’ll dress up. You never know when you’ll crash another wedding.

Around the café, there’s a great trail for walking and biking, and even the bike parking is made of wood, perfectly matching the environment. There’s also an outdoor play area for kids, making it a great spot for families. The drinks and food are delicious and fresh. Great location but drinks and food are way too expensive! Almost 4 euros for tap water with a slice of cucumber and lime. And almost 10 euros for a poor white baguette ham/cheese toast 🙈

We came here via bites and stairs but it looks like a really nice place. Facilities for children and parties and in the evening a wide range of original draft beer. Hernia that I don't exactly live nearby, but otherwise I would definitely come back here more often

Order and pay via QR code. Very busy. Food is fresh, not special and quite expensive. Too few staff, so tables remain with leftovers for too long. Weekend with nice weather there is no more room. On a second visit on Wednesday afternoon lunchtime it was pleasantly busy and sufficient staff and the tables clean. Smooth service.

Before we converted our registered partnership into a real marriage, we were looking for a special place to celebrate this with family and friends. Nowadays there is so much choice, but luckily there are sites that give you nice suggestions based on your wishes. That's how we ended up at House of Bird Diemerbos and it appealed to us immediately! Beautiful place, accessible, varied cuisine, free and spacious parking. It ticked all our boxes. After our request, we met with event planner Theresia on location and we immediately clicked. We had initially chosen the breeding ground xl but she suggested choosing the aviary because this would better suit our wishes. We wanted to have a drink with some snacks beforehand and then a 3-course meal. In the run-up to our special day, we were able to arrange everything perfectly and there was always room for adjustments on both sides. Beforehand, we went for a walk in the beautiful surroundings ourselves. There are three walking routes of 3, 6 and 10 km. We chose the 10 km and ended it by trying one of our menu choices with a nice beer from their own brewery, which actually only confirmed our choice for this location. The party day itself was perfect, we and our guests were welcomed at the beautiful aviary with a non-alcoholic welcome drink (Roze Bunker lemonade). Theresia herself was also there to welcome us and was also busy with everything that did not go completely smoothly. For example, the tap in the green bus did not work for a moment, but that was solved perfectly. The bite plates and the 3-course menu were delicious and more than enough. Although the afternoon was sunny, it did get a bit chilly towards the evening, which unfortunately could not be absorbed by the terrace heaters, luckily we all brought a coat. All our guests were pleasantly surprised by this beautiful location and, just like us, enjoyed it immensely. Theresia and all the employees of House of Bird Diemerbos made our day unforgettable! We will definitely come back again for a delicious home-brewed beer, a bite to eat or to the next event!

I went here with my grandson to do the bird route. A not too long walking trail has been set out for children to find hidden metal birds and write them down on a map. Educational and exciting! Afterwards an ice cream and a bit of playing in the (small) playground. Nice atmosphere. A gem in the Diemerbos.

A great get-away in the Diemerbos. It is on the junction of a couple of walking paths hence usually a nice place to stop by for a drink or a quite bite. Atmosphere is great and when it is open there is also a chance to observe filled birds in the upper floor indoors. It may be a little bit overpriced especially for some specific items on the menu. Service is usually fast and good. Attended a couple of times for kinderfeests over there and it seems a good alternative for birthday parties and so. Recommended.

Nice place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Nice concept with birds and a brewery. Beers are good. Ordering is done via a QR code, which makes it less personal. Burger very tasty, but portions are small. Prices are on the high side.

Top spot in the Diemerbos. Plenty of free parking. Inside it can sometimes be a bit reverberant when it's busy. Nice big terrace outside. Dogs are welcome both inside and on the terrace. The flammkuchen are very tasty and the Bresola sandwich is really delicious. You can order on the terrace with a QR code. The prices have increased considerably. An ordinary ham cheese sandwich costs EUR 9.25. The service has familiar faces and is experienced. The terrace is currently being renovated, hopefully even more space to enjoy!

Place and food are good. Service and hygiene not. Drinks come from different bars, so some of the group has something to drink and others don't. That's the concept. Employees touch everything with their bare hands without applying any form of hygiene in between. Think of ginger, phones, cookies, mint, coffee. One drink was thrown down quite a bit, which came across as a bit threatening.

One of Amsterdam’s hidden gems—discovered by accident on a run. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and served with great hospitality in a fantastic location. My partner even said he had the best latte here ever!

Can't give more than 3 stars due to the long wait (30 minutes) to get the order. The dishes are fine and well presented, but the experience was tainted by the long waiting periods. Prices in alignment with Dutch standards. Someone will need to explain why a Cola of 20 cl is charged at 3.40 euros.

They are in a beautiful location and you can enjoy a drink there. The interior is not as atmospheric as a Mac Donalds, which could really have been better. Had dinner on Sunday, but that was once and never again. 20 euros for a fish salad with bread. Besides the sandwich that came with it, 60% of the salad consisted of pieces of toasted bread. Also lettuce and a few pieces of fried fish and a scoop of tuna salad from a container, I think. My dining companion had a flammkuchen that was dripping with fat. We were asked 4 times what we thought and we were honest. I've never said I didn't like the food before, but I couldn't lie now. They didn't do much with it. A waiter said the prices were way too high but it was because of the expensive location. Well, that's fair.

For my company OMNIAFFECT I facilitated an all-day training here in Het Brouwlab. A nice, accessible atmosphere, very cooperative and hospitable staff and a delicious lunch. Everything was right. Thank you! Highly recommended.

What a bad experience. We got there on a Sunday so it was quite busy. The location is nice but food and drinks terrible! A hot chocolate for 4.50 from a bag diluted with water I think. Coffee just like ditch water. The flammkuche was thin, but the toppings were even thinner. Pieces of salmon and what was supposed to be a burrata were 3! small pieces of mozzarella. 16.50 each. Tables were dirty. Service did their best, but I think it was severely understaffed. I'll never come here again!

Had lunch today. Flammkuche eggplant and a tapas board. Flammkuche wafer thin and sparsely topped. More than €12 is really not worth it. Unlike last time, the tapas board was served on a saucer, a glass of olives, only 4 small slices of meat and 1 filled slice of baguette instead of 2 last time. This cost €8.75. Except for one of the staff, they were grumpy and did not really intend to take the order, it took quite some effort to find someone willing. For the money charged, some service, friendliness and a little more food on your plate doesn't seem too much to ask. The windows could also use a rag for some time. I have seen that the response to negative reviews is systematically "I will pass on the feedback and we will work on it." That has still not led to improvements. All hot air. We won't be coming anymore.
