IJscafé Danice Leiden in Binnenstad-Noord

In the internet this place is listed as one of THE waffle places in Leider and when I reached it they told me they sell wafers only in winter.

Snapped at by one of the waitresses today. Apparently, it was annoying to just quietly look at what flavor of ice cream we wanted to choose. Very disappointing.

Delicious ice cream! Big cup with lots of ice cream. Good value for money!

The ice cream was decent, but nothing exceptional. The selection was interesting, but the flavors lacked a bit of character, and I wasn't convinced by the value for money. The service was adequate. Overall, a somewhat disappointing experience considering the reviews.

This is the best ice cream in leiden!! Chocolate / Pistachio ice is superb

Delicious coffee and ice cream. Many ice cream options.

The ice cream here is always delicious! Nice girls

Tasty ice cream but a bit pricey

Tasty ice cream, but it closes early in the evening.

Delicious coffee, I did not try their ice-cream. But it's nice and cozy, so I will visit again.

Very tasty ice cream. Definitely recommended if you are in Leiden.

We went to Maciotto first, but they weren't friendly, so we went on to this ice cream parlor. It was delicious and a must-try; highly recommended.

Since there's no reason not to try ice cream on a gloomy day, I decided to give this ice cream parlor a go. And I left pleasantly surprised. The selection is a bit limited in November, but the bright yellow of the mango ice cream immediately caught my eye. The atmosphere in the café was very relaxed, and we had an interesting conversation. The ice cream was wonderfully creamy, the flavor was delicious, and the cone was fresh and crisp. If I'm ever in Leiden again, I'll definitely come back. Plus, I had a very nice chat with the staff.

The ice cream is tasty, the scoops are (usually) large, the whipped cream is also good, nice to make it for the children

Good ice cream! But really expensive, and for that price I don't think it's good enough.

Super good ice cream and coffee shop, can't say otherwise!

Good ice cream, but unfortunately no sundaes and only a few seats.

Good ice cream, we got very large scoops. Could do with some more vegan flavours in addition to the fruity ones.

Delicious ice cream, large scoops and friendly staff.

Small, but very nice ice café. Take away your preferred ice cream and beverages or have a seat inside/ outside. Great large Cappuccino with a little ice cone - delicious. (Unfortunately, I took the pulicture after having enjoyed the ice cream already. :) Very friendly staff.

I tried the ice cream, I bought the raspberry and chocolate from Dubai. The raspberry was not a success, but the Dubai chocolate was different and good, I recommend it.

The ice creams don't have much flavor and are way too sweet.

The ice cream taste is good, but it came especially for a gluten-free cone that unfortunately had run out, very disappointing.

they have amazing flavour selection, but there’s inconsistency about how much they scoop the ice cream (sometimes a lot and sometimes so small)

Delicious ice cream 🍦 Have to taste 😋

Delicious ice cream and good scoops! Very nice that all flavors are permanently on “the menu” and are always available. In the summer I come here almost every day. My personal favorites are white chocolate, stracciatella and banana. On hot days it can sometimes be a bit busy.

What delicious ice cream. We were able to take it home and even after it had been in the freezer for a while it was still excellent. Pleasant lady behind the counter, happy to have a chat. Definitely recommended.

I get there and it's open until 9pm. We arrive at 7:14 PM to get an ice cream, the place is closed and I'm not happy about that, so I give it 1 star! If only they had been clearer with the times!!

Not tasty at all, too sweet, but the girl was nice, mcdonalds is close, go there

Tasty iced coffee and nice location for a date, except at the end of the market day 😉

This business is based on mass sales and therefore makes strange concessions to the sale of artisanal ice creams. You should not be surprised if your tongue glows blue for a long time after eating, for example, a 'Smurf' ice cream. I also think it is inappropriate these days that you cannot simply pay with cash. Whatever arguments you think you can put forward, they are certainly not valid and therefore say more about your business than you would think at first glance as an entrepreneur of a franchise.

Sooo, 1 scoop is almost three scoops! Delicious ice cream and the price of 1 scoop compared to what you get is great!

Really good caramel ice cream plus affordable.

Overheerlijk ijs en ze scheppen lekker veel!

Good ice cream, waffle cones, generous portions.

Very big portions, friendly staff and delicious ice cream!!!!! will definitely come back more and more!!!

Sehr sehr leckeres Eis.

Super freundlich!

Great ice cream, you think it's quite expensive but wait until you see the enormous scoops!

Amazing ice cream. Gluten free cones & knowledgable friendly staff

Waffle n ice cream! We enjoyed it. Good service too

Nice little Ice Cream shop, and serves good coffee too

Hoorntje was goed personeel was vriendelijk

Affordable and delicious toasties and waffles. Really enjoyed their mexican chicken toastie and nutella waffle.

Flinke bollen.

Sehr sehr gutes Eis.

Awesome icecrem place, reasonable prices and big selection of flavors. Other items on menu as well but if ice cream is what you want this is the place.
