Il Giardino in Wijk 00 Schaesberg

I wanted to order by phone today at 6:15 PM. The woman irritated me and told me I couldn't arrive until 7:30 PM. She hadn't even given me my name or order yet! I'm perfectly willing to wait for my order, so I said, "Okay." Then the woman started ranting about the craftsmanship, the time, the pressure, etc. Again, I didn't care about the wait! I've been coming to this shop for 25 years, but when you're yelled at like that as a customer, I'd rather pass.

This is truly the best Italian restaurant in Landgraaf. Whether you order pizza or pasta, it's always equally good. I've been coming here for a long time.

The food was good, but waiting 45 minutes for your food is less enjoyable. The service was okay, but it was curt and surly. It just doesn't feel like a real restaurant. It feels more like you're in a chip shop. So the atmosphere is less cozy. Prices are also a bit higher than usual. You also have to pay an extra €1.50 if you want the lettuce or sauce on your pizza taco separately. So less work for them means more for you. Very illogical. When it's "busy," they even refuse your requests, leaving you with nothing to ask for. 2/5.

Delicious food, both for dining and takeout. The interior is unfortunately dated, which somewhat diminishes the atmosphere, but the food ultimately makes up for it.

On Wednesday, September 10th, around 6:00 PM, we walked in with three people. We didn't have a reservation. The restaurant seemed full, but we were offered a small table, which we gladly accepted. Our order was taken fairly quickly, and the drinks arrived promptly. The male waiter seemed a bit lost. He barely responded to our questions, or responded strangely/incomprehensibly. We all ordered a pizza. After waiting 45 minutes, we asked the waiter if our order had been placed correctly, to which his response was: "I believe so!?" Fifteen minutes later, nothing had happened, so we asked a female colleague the same question again. She seemed to understand immediately and said the pizzas would arrive in a few minutes. And they arrived a few minutes later. The pizzas tasted good. The crust was a bit hard, but still edible. I understand that wait times can be a bit longer when busy, but I think an hour wait for three pizzas is a bit too long.

We ate here with a group of seven. Good value and super friendly staff. Fun for kids too.

The pizza is rock hard, lacks flavor, and has very few toppings. My table companions experienced the same thing. The price is steep for a slab of dough that I won't be returning for. No more Il Giardino for me.

Everything was perfectly arranged, even for 14 people.

3 pizzas 🍕 ordered tacos, very dry minced meat, not seasoned etc... very thin sauce with it, just water... not worth repeating, certainly not quality for 48 euros!

Delicious pizzas, the best one is the well-known pizza Taco.

They are so much friendlier now. In the past, customer friendliness depended on the crowds. When it was busy they were not friendly. Now we go out with a smile again.

They used to have the best pizza taco here, I live in Belgium and every time I visit Landgraaf every few years, this is one of the places I visit to eat pizza. We were there yesterday and the pizza was really dry and tough. The service is stressed and you can really feel that in the tense atmosphere. I don't think I'm eager to go again now.

Il Gardino has delicious Pizza Taco. Good food. The service is friendly, works hard but hurried and chaotic. 2 stars for service because despite reservation and showing up on time, there was no table available. Cause: a couple who walked in before us and had not made a reservation were assigned the table by an employee who had not looked at the book. We could have waited in the takeaway, but how long that would take could be between 10 minutes and half an hour. Thank you kindly. Leaving behind an irritated waiter. Such a shame.

Sparsely topped pizzas on thin and chewy dough. Clearly in the oven too long, because some pieces were rock hard and black on the bottom. It's a shame because you used to be able to eat delicious food here.

Recently ate pizzas here with 4 people. We also had pizzas here a while ago and they were tasty. but this time the pizzas were just bad, way too chewy. You had to use a lot of force to cut the pizzas, even with the pizza rolling knife this was barely possible. We also reported this to the owner that the pizzas were way too chewy. maybe a little too long in the oven. The owner dealt with this laconically, as it should be! No, this is not the case, we indicated. He just didn't want to admit that the pizzas were just very mediocre, bad service. In any case, I won't be coming back here again.

Delicious pizzas, customer friendliness could use some work. The lady who took the order asked if I had a smaller payment. And just looked at my purse. She saw that I had less money (needed for other things), she looked grumpy and said hello Too bad, hopefully next time it will be customer friendly

As someone of Italian descent, specifically from Southern Italy, I am always looking for an authentic taste experience that reminds me of the delicious dishes of my home country. When I discovered that there was an Italian restaurant near here that served dishes somewhat reminiscent of traditional southern Italian flavors, I was initially excited. Unfortunately, however, I have to say that there is one important element missing that makes food in Italy so special: warm hospitality. In fact, the service in this restaurant is downright bad. Let me start with the positive. The food, including pizza, pasta and gnocchi, was excellent. The dishes had a reasonable taste, but it cannot be compared to the authentic Italian cuisine that I know. Still, I appreciate the kitchen's efforts to approximate those southern Italian flavors here. Unfortunately, the dining experience in this restaurant is spoiled by the poor service. On our first visit we were helped in a very unfriendly manner. The low point was when the beer was put on the table so hard that we were not only shocked, but some beer even splashed out of the glass. To make matters worse, we also had to wait an hour and a half for our food. Despite this bad experience, we decided to give the restaurant a second chance, because the food was decent. To our disappointment, the service was substandard again on our second visit. The service, probably the owners, was again blunt and unfriendly. The only positive exception was the young waiters, who were polite and friendly, but that didn't make up for the rest of the experience. Clearly something is going seriously wrong here. Normally we are happy to tip 5 to 10 percent, but in this case it was definitely not deserved. In any case, we will not be coming back here again. Although the food was fine, it's hard to enjoy the meal when the service is so poor. This is a shame, because with a little more attention to hospitality this restaurant could really be a nice place.

Been coming here for 3 decades now, they can be slow, but the food is very tasty. Their dough is wonderfully salty, soft and crunchy. The sauce already has the herbs in it. The base is thin and the sauce/cheese ratio is very consistent.

Closed for holidays, not stated on site. When will you open again?

Had a delicious pizza, quickly and sitting outside is wonderful, you can also get half, half pizzas.

Mixed feelings now that the restaurant has a new pizza oven: nowadays the pizzas have become drier, while previously they were a bit more creamy: you could just taste the juices from the melted cheese, the ham and the tomato sauce. Nevertheless, the pizzas are still very tasty in terms of taste and I will certainly order them again. Update as of 16-01-2024: I have the feeling that the pizzas are a bit more creamy again, increased from 3 stars to 4 stars.

Haven't been in a while, the last few times his father was still alive! The pizzas still taste delicious, but unfortunately the prices are too! But where doesn't it get more expensive, but when they taste good?? We only live once, why not enjoy it!?

The pizza taco of this place is right up my alley. I don’t know why, but the ground beef they use just tastes amazing in a way I cannot replicate it at home or find it at other pizzerias. We don’t go here often because the restaurant is quite far away but its been consistent quality throughout the past 10+ years. Highly recommended.

Food was good. But customer friendliness is hard to find! Reserved for 5, you will be assigned a table for 4 and an additional chair will be added. So very tight. And we had to make do or go with that. Then waited more than an hour for the pizzas. Which cooled down quickly due to cold plates. Pity!

Don't understand some bad reviews. The pizzas were again delicious and topped with fresh products. The service was friendly and fast.

Yesterday, February 25, I wanted to celebrate his 33rd birthday with my son. I had already made a reservation for this a month in advance at 6 p.m. When we got there there was no room for us. And if this wasn't sad enough, we were told by a man (who works there) that you should have come earlier because we are open from 4 p.m. So without a single kind word or apology we left with our tails between our legs. Then we called Molise in Brunssum and told them our experience. Fortunately, we were able to go to them and find a spot by the fireplace especially for us. A 10 for Molise where we had a delicious meal. Still a successful birthday

Reserved a table at Il Giardino for 4 people on Valentine's Day. We had to wait exactly 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food, while all the other guests who came after us were served as usual. I have spoken to the waiter about this more than once, but in the end he is not in charge. Very disappointed with so much disrespect towards your guests! At least say sorry and offer some bread and butter, but you just can't afford to leave us there for so long without food! No effort was made at all to add any Valentine's decorations. It was a big disappointment for us, especially on our wedding day. Very unfortunate Il Giardino!!!

I have been eating or taking away pizza here for years, but lately the quality of the pizzas has been very disappointing. Poorly filled, so you only have dough on some pieces. Also drier in taste than before. Hopefully they improve, otherwise it will be Santa Maria next time....

Delicious 'different than usual' calzone with parma ham, arugula and parmesan on top (not listed on site, but on the 'live' menu). The tiramisu itself was tasty, but unfortunately a bit plain and lacked the alcohol/liqueur. 3* for the atmosphere is not due to the employees but to the table with a screaming and hitting toddler next to us.

Had dinner here with my wife in the late afternoon. Upon entering, we walked to a table by the window, where we took a seat. After a few minutes the presumed owner came and told us that this table had been reserved and we had to move to a table for 2 people. The mixed salad was very dry, no salt and pepper or oil and vinegar on the table. During the meal, no questions were asked whether everything was to your liking, no questions asked for drinks, no questions asked for desert or the like. in short, uninterested owner and/or staff. Was everything terrible then? No, to be honest, my wife liked her lasagna and my spaghetti carbonara was fine too. But...food should be a party, at Toscana, our regular Italian, they understand that very well. We thought after so many years and a new owner we would try again. Regret it, just go back to Übach from now on.

Always Difficult. Santa Maria or Il Giardino. They are 300m apart. If I'm completely honest, I think they're both very good. Il Giardino has an unprecedented pizza, the Il Giardino meat pizza. A pizza with 2 schnitzels, fried egg, asparagus twisted in schink. Unbelievably tasty and special. A good pizzeria. Keep it up !

De beste pizza s in de wijde omgeving

Vandaag hier gegeten met ons gezin. Het viel heel erg tegen zo heb ik het niet in herinnering. Pasta met zalm was slechtste die ik ooit ergens gegeten heb. Totaal smakeloos met zalm uit blik. Pizza's gingen maar hebben we ook echt al beter gehad. Voor ons iig nu nooit meer dan zijn er echt betere Italianen.

Zeer gezellig ingericht, heel erg vriendelijk personeel, een goede service en heel er lekker eten voor een betaalbare prijs👌

Heerlijke pizza's! Perfecte bodem en goed belegd. Zelfs de kinderen verheugen zich op pizza zondag.

Wat heb ik weer genoten hier! Kwam hier vroeger vaker, maar heeft zeker zijn kwaliteit en authentieke smaak behouden! Zo hoort een pizza te smaken!

Heel gezellig met een grote groep van 9 personen zaterdagavond 'last minute' gegeten. Gelukkig hadden ze nog plek. Toppie! Eten was lekker. Gezellig plekje voor ons clubje. En supervriendelijke meneer in de bediening. Wat wil een mens nog meer... 👍🏻

wij kwamen meermaals per jaar bij deze pizzeria. Het zijn de pizza's helaas niet meer van een jaar of langer geleden en dan bedoel ik niet wat de smaak betreft, deze is gewoon goed, echter.... de hoeveelheid ingredienten zijn gehalveerd ! Deze pizza's zijn mijn inziens geen €.15,- meer waard. TIP: doe er 1 eurootje bovenop maar beleg weer als vanouds !

Restaurant heeft een sfeer waarbij je je op je gemak voelt, het is niet te druk qua decor maar gelukkig ook niet het tegenovergestelde. Het eten is vrijwel heerlijk van wat ik heb geproefd, hoewel het menu redelijk gelimiteerd is en de wachttijden voor pizza's specifiek zeer lang. Voor een pizzeria zou dit beter kunnen..

Simply the best pizza's in the area! You really won't find a better tasting Pizza in Landgraaf. I can't help always going for Pizza Montagne! Lovely atmosphere!

Lang geleden dat we hier gegeten hadden, vanavond weer eens geweest en het was vanouds weer gewoon lekker. Gedeeld voorgerecht, ieder een pizza (ik had de bekende taco), goeie rode wijn. 2 dame blanche, 2 espresso, 2 grappa's... Leuke vriendelijke bediening. Tot snel weer...

De beste pizza Taco in omstreken te verkrijgen. Ook andere gerechten zijn super...italiaans eten eet je bij Italianen en niet bij shoarma tenten.

Pizza taco is onovertroffen. Sauzen over de pasta zijn bij afhalen minimaal terwijl bij eten in het restaurant dit prima is. Saus is soms dun omdat de pasta niet goed is uitgelekt. Maar, die pizza taco hè 😃!

Heerlijk gegeten en gedronken met een bediening die je nog maar zelden aantreft. Gewoon helemaal top !

De pizza die ik had was goed, maar niet zo pittig als in de menukaart beschreven stond. Voor de rest prima service.

Heerlijk gegeten. Personeel erg vriendelijk, kleinigheidje voor de kids en prima porties. Wij komen er zeker nog eens terug!

Bij Il Giardino hoef ik niet eens op de kaart te kijken. Iedere keer bestel ik de beste pizza (subjectief haha). De pizza Il Giardino is zijn prijs meer dan waard. Een pizza met 2 schnitzels, hamrolletjes met asperges, salami, champignons, kaas en een spiegelei met paprika om het af te ronden. Al met al een pizza voor de echte vleeseter😁 Ik had deze keer wel het idee dat de pizzabodem wat dunner was dan normaal het geval is.
