Schnitzel for €22, chicken curry for €24.50 – you'd expect culinary delights. Instead: a fat overload. The schnitzel and curry were dripping with each other – we were almost ready to order bread to dip them in. We also got a bowl of fries for three people – the quantity was manageable. The mood was hungry. And the highlight? For the extra portion (which felt like 12 more fries), they charged another €5.50. Respect! The bottom line: lots of fat, little fairness – and fries billed in gold dust. Once and never again.

Ein absoluter Geheimtipp! Das Essen war nicht nur frisch und liebevoll zubereitet, sondern auch richtig lecker – man schmeckt einfach, dass hier mit Qualität und Herz gekocht wird. Die Bedienung war super freundlich, aufmerksam und dabei herrlich unaufdringlich. Man fühlt sich als Gast rundum willkommen. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt: faire Preise für wirklich tolle Qualität. Ich komme definitiv wieder und kann das Restaurant nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Unfortunately our dining experience was ruined by the fact that the bruschetta was grossly overpriced at 14,50. Adding to that the bruschette is not what you would expect in SIZE, flavour and ingredients. Needless to say we did not make it to the main course.

We sat with 2 people on the terrace that is located in a shopping street. We were screened off by planters with hydrangeas in them. The hydrangeas with us were well visited by bees and wasps. After sitting for 5 minutes we were no longer bothered by them. The mussels that we ordered were super tasty. We got a portion of fries with mayonnaise for the mussels 2 sauces and a sour which made them taste a bit fresher. Delicious white house wine drunk with it, great! Also tasty cortado and cappuccino. A well-extensive lunch menu for everyone. And friendly service. We will definitely come here again to eat a pan of mussels.

Had a wonderful meal at De Groene Lantaren in Oudorp! What a great experience! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive – you really feel welcome here. The service was great, everything was served with a smile. I had chosen the asparagus with salmon and potatoes from the menu, and I can honestly say that these were the tastiest asparagus I have ever eaten. Perfectly cooked, full of flavour and served with a delicious Hollandaise sauce. Really a dish to come back for! The combination of the quality of the food and the warm service makes De Groene Lantaren an absolute must. I will definitely come back!

Pleasant experience. Friendly staff, delicious food. Various vegetarian dishes on the menu. The fried mussels are a good option when it is not the typical mussel season and you still want to eat mussels. These were tasty. The texture is a bit different than with fresh cooked mussels. Served with a nice fresh salad, well-fried fries and apple rhubarb compote of which we were offered several portions. Successful combination! If you like a soft, playful and fruity red wine that also has a nice bouquet, I can recommend the Zweigel. Sufficient free parking in the vicinity.

At the Green Lantern in Ouddorp, Netherlands: Dinner with four adults! We reserved a table for lunch that same evening by phone – super nice and friendly! The reception at the restaurant – super nice and friendly! The waiters throughout the evening were super nice and friendly! And every dish, from starters to main course and dessert, was simply top-notch!!! The Romanoff Strawberry Cream Dessert now appears on the menu as Strawberry Cream "Uwe Scotch Single Malt." 😂 Highly recommended and we'd love to return. Thank you so much for the wonderful evening! In addition, the fish and shrimps are fresh on your plate. The staff is super friendly and are always up for a chat. Traveled from London and came across this delightful restaurant. As a family of 5 we all ordered different meals ranging from steak, duck, cod and schnitzel. Each dish was perfectly cooked and presented. The waiting staff were all helpful with recommendations and translations and were very charming. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We ate here during the high season. The cod and entrecote were fantastic. Cooked perfectly. Staff was friendly. We did have to wait quite some time for the food to arrive, I believe it was over an hour after ordering for our mains to arrive. Service was friendly and good. Location is good and our table for 5 was cosy. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we plan to return again soon. Update Sept, 2024: fantastic just like the last three times. Great food, great staff, cozy atmosphere! Dog-friendly as well which was a huge bonus as we were able to take our pup out of the car when the weather became bad.

Casual and cozy restaurant in the pedestrian zone with excellent food and service. From the starters to the excellently prepared fish and mussel dishes, we enjoyed everything. We recommend reservation. The restaurant was very busy on both of our visits. We were able to bring our dog with us without any problem.

Fantastic meal. This restaurant really puts the finishing touches on it. Everything was perfect, even with the vegetables a bowl of delicious rhubarb/pears/raisins.... And well paid, and nice waitresses, Carmen and Maritta. In short: great!!
