Zoet of Zout in Stellendam

Zoals als altijd vriendelijk personeel en een vlotte bediening. Minpuntje bij mij en mijn tafelgenoot dat brood bij de gerookte zalm met eiersalade hard/taai was.

Prijs-kwaliteit super! Vriendelijk personeel en mooie locatie. Het eten was heel erg lekker en service was top! We komen zeker nog een keer terug

Kom hier al een aantal jaar en wij zijn altijd zeer tevreden! Alles is heerlijk, nog nooit ontevreden geweest :) Daarbij ook vriendelijk personeel en een leuke sfeer.

Na lange tijd weer een bezoek gebracht aan zoet of zout. Heerlijk gegeten van een uitgebreide kaart. Keuze te over. Gezellige en vriendelijke bediening.

Onderweg naar ons vakantie adres hebben we hier gestopt voor een lekkere lunch.we werden heel hartelijk ontvangenen, ondanks dat het heel druk was hoefde we niet lang te wachten. De hamburger was zeeeer smakelijk.

Heerlijk gegeten, verzorgd en modern interieur, fijne atmosfeer, nuchter maar vriendelijk, voor herhaling vatbaar.

In 1 woord fantastisch! locatie, ontvangst, sfeer, bediening, eten.. alles prima verzorgd. ik kan geen minpunten bedenken.

Het maken van de reservering ging uiteraard goed, wat wij belangrijker vinden is dat het voltallige personeel (en dat zijn er veel :) allemaal even vriendelijk waren. Of het was bij binnenkomst, achter de bar, de dame die ons naar de tafel verwees of de lunch kwam noteren en bij betaling: dat is iets waar het bij veel restaurants aan ontbreekt. Om die reden een zeer positieve review. Het eten was uiteraard ook goed, de kaart uitgebreid en er waren wat aanpassingen mogelijk. Verder een prachtige locatie die ook nog eens heel mooi is ingericht! Absoluut aanrader dus!!

Op advies van mijn opa zijn m’n vriendin en ik gezellig komen eten bij Zoet of Zout. We werden verwelkomd door het vriendelijke persoon en kregen een tafel met prachtig uitzicht op het water. Wij hadden twee theetjes en een twaalfuurtje met een burger besteld. Het eten werd snel gebracht en smaakte echt verrukkelijk. We gaan deze zeker bij ons er in houden als een vast restaurant waar we naar terug willen komen. Binnenkort hebben we nog wat te vieren en dan gaan we zeker ook de familie uitnodigen om bij jullie te komen eten.

Prachtige locatie! Gezellig ingericht, leuke ronde tafels, uitgebreide kaart, goede akoestiek. Zeker leuk als het terras weer open is.

Great location for a quick lunch with a super view. Large choice on the menu, plenty of parking in front of the door.

I become less enthusiastic when I am addressed in English by employees. But they did their very best to make us happy. We had to wait quite a long time for everything. We were almost an hour later when we got our starter. The food was fine, I had the fish soup and cod with kibbeling on a stick as a main course. For dessert, the surprise, which was highly praised by my guests. A matter of taste, in this case very sweet.

Food was ok, but not great. Very thick pancakes, therefore undercooked. French onion soup was bad, onions were not caramelized enough and no au gratin cheese on top. The toasties were fine. The food was on the table before the drinks 5 people. We ate 5 times and drank 5 times, but we didn't get a glass of tap water, so we had to buy a blue spa.

Nice location. All the waiters are having lots of fun together, which lets me wait longer😵‍💫 and the food was so so, nothing special.

Had a good lunch enjoying the views, but without it being crowded on a Friday afternoon, it was very noisy and difficult to hear your table partners.

No quibbles on the menu. We got a table in a corner without a view of the Haringvliet, while there were plenty of tables available by the window. Staff are constantly chatting with each other at the cash register and bar.

Had a nice meal there with 17 family members. Food was very tasty and well presented. Staff very friendly and cooperative.

Very cozy restaurant with a nice atmosphere and a view of the Haringvliet. You can sit here for lunch or dinner, but this place is also highly recommended for a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate. The staff there is also very polite and friendly. Definitely worth repeating for us. (:

Niet voor het eerst bij Zoet of Zout, maar weer heerlijk gegeten. Ondanks de drukte toch heel goed verzorgd door de bediening. De hertenbiefstuk is een echte aanrader.

Wij hebben vaker bij Zoet of Zout gegeten, maar 1e keer Kerstbrunch in het Paviljoen. De keuze was groot en gevarieerd en zeker voldoende, er werd continu aangevuld. Voor kleine kinderen niet veel keus, maar er werden speciaal fricandellen gemaakt. Vooral het dessert was, zoals gewoonlijk, erg goed en gevarieerd. Personeel was heel erg vriendelijk.

Super mooi restaurant met heel fijne bediening en de kwaliteit van het eten is sterren restaurant waardig! Absolute aanrader

Wij hebben het enorm naar ons zin gehad tijdens het Kerstbuffet. Het eten was heel divers, erg lekker en er werd iedere keer aangevuld. Ook de bediening was heel vriendelijk en gezellig. We komen zeker nog een keer terug.

This beautiful restaurant “Zoet of Zout” is located right next to the seal sanctuary and was the highlight of our day. After a 50 km bike ride, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. We were lucky enough to sit outside, enjoy the sun and experience an excellent lunch - and at normal prices! The whole ambience, both outside and inside, is simply a feast for the eyes. The interior is modern, tasteful and lovingly designed, with large windows offering a view of the natural surroundings. Everything feels inviting and high quality without being over the top. The atmosphere is relaxed and you can tell immediately that a lot of value is placed on an all-round wonderful experience here. About the food: The dishes were beautifully presented and prepared to a high standard of craftsmanship. From the starter to the dessert, everything was just right. The ingredients were fresh, the combinations creative and the taste excellent - a feast for the senses! We particularly liked the fact that quality is not equated with inflated prices here. You really do get exclusive food at fair prices. This restaurant is also ideal for families. There is a play area for children, which makes the stay exciting for the little ones and relaxing for the parents. A real plus point, as everyone can enjoy their visit to the full. The service was excellent throughout. Friendly, attentive and professional - we felt well looked after all round. It's the little things that make the difference, and the team here knows exactly how to make guests happy. Conclusion: The visit to the “Zoet of Zout” was more than worthwhile and was the crowning glory of our trip. A beautiful place where everything is just right: great food, an appealing ambience, child-friendly options and excellent service. We were so impressed that we immediately recommended the restaurant to friends - and they can only confirm our positive opinion. If you are in the area or planning a special excursion, you should definitely not miss this restaurant. Whether for lunch in the sun, a cozy dinner or simply to enjoy the special atmosphere - an absolute recommendation! We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Delicious food in a beautiful place. A large outdoor terrace with a view. For the children there is a nice climbing fish outside and a play corner inside.

Beautiful place but quite mediocre food and drinks. The hot (?) chocolate that was delivered as a DIY kit was downright bad: loose chocolate pills, a glass of milk and loose whipped cream. Everything so lukewarm that the chocolate didn't dissolve. I left the undrinkable mixture. The staff doesn't seem to care.

Today (Sunday) we were here. We were there with our basset dog who was also welcome. It is a beautiful place with good food and fast. The woman who served us was super nice and deserves a compliment.

We had been here before and we liked it. This time it wasn't good. The fish 12 hours were disappointing. The pancake was way too thick. Not a good experience, despite the friendly service.

Nice place to stop if you are on your way to Zeeland, for example. Ate here for the first time. From the outside it looks containery but once inside it feels warm and tropical even on a cold rainy day. Chairs are comfortable, large wooden tables. Lots of wood and (fake) plants so it looks warm. I had a border of carpachio. Tasty meat on a hard brown bun tasted very good. My neighbor had a bouncer. We think it's a bit meager for the price. 2 small onions on 2 slices of basic bread. I would prefer to see that on a more luxurious bread, but that's fine. Fresh orange juice and good coffee. We visited the toilets and they are as you would expect at a beach bar. Just okay. All in all a nice visit

Enjoyed a piece of chocolate 🍰 with ☕️ at this beautiful location (both inside and outside). Well-kept restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommended. Until the next one 😉!

Food cold and tasteless unfortunately we expected more.

Unfortunately we had to wait more than 40 minutes for the starter.

Had a delicious meal myself. Still disappointed. In my opinion, in a fish restaurant you expect a different children's menu than the standard fried mess (okay, and a plate of simple spaghetti that you can also serve at home) that you find everywhere on children's menus. Half a portion of a regular dish was also not an option. A plus point on the other hand was the consideration of allergies. But wouldn't go there again anytime soon with children.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in the pavilion. The service was fantastic, and the buffet exceeded our expectations. And for a very fair price. Highly recommended if you have a party to celebrate.

This was our last visit to Sweet or Salty. We always go because the service, food and ambiance is good. Last Sunday we had dinner here with 6 people. 4 ordered a steak, one person stew and 1 fish. I think they missed the net because it was barely visible under the fried mushrooms and onions. The steaks were not cooked properly and the meat was tough and bland. One person's steak was even sent back twice and that person received the steak cut into slices on his plate. The person with the stew did not dare to say that the meat was cold because the steaks were already not good. We made and ate desert at home.

Zowat vaste klanten hier. Vandaag echt een domper. 12 uurtje vis was zo slecht behalve de vis soep. Gemeld aan de ober en die heeft hier niets mee gedaan. Zo jammer, omdat we zo graag hier kwamen.

We had our wedding at Paviljoen Zoet of Zout and everything was really well organised! The staff is helpful and friendly, the food is delicious and we were able to get married outside in the gazebo, which is a really beautiful spot! Thank you all for taking care of our beautiful day!

At Zoet en Zou, reservations are necessary, because if you drop by unexpectedly while the restaurant still has many empty tables, you will be irrevocably shown the door. When asked about the empty tables... within half an hour it would be completely full. Advice: ask your guests what you can do for them. Maybe a small dish is enough and you are left with happy guests 😉

My wife got a burnt pancake and I had a salmon sandwich that lacked any real salmon flavor! Furthermore, the service was disinterested and perfunctory. The big hit was the wait staff's comment after our complaint about the burnt pancake: "I'll pass it on".....pass on what...?? Conclusion: where has the quality, atmosphere and customer friendliness gone?

In itself a pleasant stay in terms of location and entourage of the restaurant. Friendly staff. Food not bad, but that's not all. Salmon sandwich: Sandwich not old, but not well fried either. Salmon with a stronger smoke flavor than you would expect elsewhere. Ice-cold avocado next to a warm poached egg. Served bare. Certainly not bad, but also not worth repeating this salmon sandwich. Noon: Soup has already run onto the spoon before serving. Triangle of simple bread under a croquette. The taste of the salmon salad sandwich and soup was said to be good. As far as food is concerned, the price-quality ratio is too high. Furthermore, toilets do not match the decoration of the rest of the restaurant, very plain and old-fashioned. In short, yes for location and atmosphere, not especially for the food.

Sea, land, canal and dam flatter you between tasty dishes and an unmistakably warm evening to which the harbour, the arable land, a good kitchen and a hospitable table worker make a significant contribution.

People from the group who wanted to take the bus waited outside in the sun but could not get a drink there, the waiter thought it was too much effort while other people were served there... sad about this waiter and shows the hospitality and efforts for the customers waiter is completely UNSUITABLE!!

Met een groep van 25 mensen bij Zoet of Zout gaan eten ter gelegenheid van een 60-jarige verjaardag. Het voorgerecht bestond uit een shared dining met vis en vleesgerechten. Bij het hoofdgerecht kon er worden gekozen uit zeebaars, black angus steak, saté of vegetarische saté. Het nagerecht was een dessert du chef. Alle familie/vrienden vonden het eten heerlijk. Complimenten aan de keuken en de bediening voor dit gezellige diner. Een bijzonder woord van dank aan onze gastheer van de avond Marijn. Hij had alles onder controle deze avond.

The service took a lot of time for us. Explained everything to us in English and gave us tips. The food was super tasty. The price was right, the ambience was really nice, unfortunately it was too cold to eat outside, the terrace with the view is beautiful.

Uit goede ervaringen in het verleden zijn wij hier met een groep gaan eten. Helaas is het niet meer wat het geweest is. Het was een grote teleurstelling. Biefstuk was taai, lag op een bedje van diepvriesgroente, zonder enige saus, zonder iets aan toevoeging. Zeebaars paste in de holle kies. Locatie is erg goed, service was ook heel goed, vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Very good food and beautiful view

Went out for dinner with a large group, including halal eaters. Called twice in advance to indicate this and this would be absolutely no problem, this was taken into account. Also requested on the spot as a precaution, again no problem. Finally the main course arrived, steak. To our surprise, this was served with pieces of bacon (pork), this was indicated and a new one would come, it came back suspiciously shortly later and you guessed it; again with pieces of bacon. They offered to bake a new one again, but this was no longer necessary. In the end, the halal eaters just gorged themselves on fries. A shameful experience, it is a great place for non-halal eaters.

Vaker goede berichten over gehoord. Had heel de dag al trek in kibbeling en waren hier in de buurt. Wat een grote teleurstelling was de kibbeling. Je zou zeggen uit de diepvries uit de supermarkt, meer taaie korst dan vis. Dan is het toch erg prijzig voor wat je krijgt. 1 malige actie dus voor ons.

We spontaneously got a high table with bar stools. It was very busy and it took a while to get the menu and our waitress was a bit stressed. Our table could have been cleaned and the forgotten waiter's tray cleared away. The food tasted good, but was rather expensive and the portions were small. The view of the water is incredibly beautiful.

Day out from work and therefore a limited menu due to the size of the group. All meals with some carbohydrates. So had the salad. I wish it could have been a little more filled and larger in size, it was 2 lettuce leaves of iceberg lettuce and then filled with green beans, feta carrot and some walnuts. Anyway, it was delicious, had flavor and the rest of the dishes looked tasty too. Service was friendly and the food was served quickly. I would also eat there privately, so that's why I give it 5 well-deserved stars. If you are in the area, be sure to visit the seals behind the restaurant at the shelter

Beautiful restaurant with terrace in a top location. Quite pricey. The terrace is poorly maintained. Lots of (old) "litter" under many tables and cobwebs on the chairs. Have been there 3 times in a short time and seen no change.

Used it here with (former) colleagues after a bit of cycling. Very good.

Had a delicious meal here tonight! Pleasant atmosphere and service. Delicious food! Truly sublime! I had the street food and the fish of the day, a delicious skewer with all kinds of fish. It was all equally delicious! And the sweet and salty coffee with licor 43! Delicious! Highly recommended!

Excellent restaurant cafe next to the seal sanctuary in Stellendam. It was very busy because there were also 2 buses with guests who had lunch there. Still, we got our drinks quickly. The cappuccino and other drinks were good and the service very friendly.

As a German you are not welcome, the schnitzel that was advertised so well was the cheapest frozen product. The tomato salad was half a poorly cut, unseasoned tomato in oil. There was a mini bowl of fries for 2 people. The waiters were very arrogant and ignorant. When asked Which meat dish was on the menu as the weekly dish, they said very rudely, what, what, can't speak German. Even though I asked in English. The food was served within 6 minutes and after 20 minutes we were gone again. Never again there

Van te voren gereserveerd. Bij aankomst mochten we zelf buiten een tafel uitkiezen. Toen we dit deden kwam de bediening geïrriteerd naar ons toe dat we geen tafel met gereserveerd mochten kiezen. Eenmaal aan een tafel hebben we een half uur gewacht voor onze drankjes werden opgenomen. Lunch bestellen kon tot 17.00 uur, maar om half 5 kon je niets meer van de lunchkaart bestellen. Sorry we hebben te weinig personeel, op onze vraag om dan maar een bittergarnituurtje te nemen. Kregen we het antwoord sorry dat kan ook niet.. zonde van zo’n mooie locatie!

Food to eat well. Prices average. Nice view and you can sit in the sun or shade. Some staff members very grumpy.

Very unfriendly reception. We wanted to have another drink but we were not welcome. It was still well before closing time and the place was still quite full. For us it was a question mark as to why we were not welcome.

Overpriced and nothing special. For these prices I would expect more. I think 12 hours of salad comes straight from a bucket. Little food for a lot of money
