What a surprise on Terschelling! Tonight I had a delicious meal at Italian restaurant Vito on Terschelling (Midsland) What a recommendation! Although I am not normally a fan of pizza, I seriously ate the tastiest pizza (Bismarck) ever here. Perfect base, great flavor combinations and everything freshly prepared. The staff was incredibly friendly and created a relaxed and hospitable atmosphere. You can tell from everything that they work here with love and attention. Only small thing missing: after such a delicious meal I longed for a glass of Fernet Branca - for me the ultimate end to an Italian dinner. Maybe an idea to add to the menu? All in all: an absolute must on Terschelling, whether you are a pizza lover or not!

The PASTA AGLIO E OLIO (spaghetti, garlic, red pepper, parsley, parmesan) was delicious. The dish is perfectly balanced and exquisite in its simplicity. The brownie for dessert is very tasty, but also quite filling and enough for two people. The service is quick and friendly, and the background music is pleasant and at just the right volume. We paid and, upon leaving, realized we needed to shelter from the rain. We were allowed to do so at our table and received a drink on the house. I told her, "You're not responsible for the weather," but she insisted, so thanks again for that and we hope to see you again!

Great pizzeria. Wide selection of pizzas. We had a delicious meal last night. Pleasant atmosphere in a relaxed setting. Friendly young owners and staff. We'd love to come back again.

Ate here for the first time, and it was delicious. And very affordable. You could even create your own pizza. So great!!! Highly recommended!

Delicious food and a nice atmosphere

Delicious pizzas, pasta, and carpaccio. We truly enjoyed ourselves – again. One drawback to this location's popularity is the time slot system they use. Two hours is usually more than enough, but you still feel a bit rushed. The service was friendly and efficient. Tip: using a mobile phone to be reachable is smart, but set the ringtone to a less generic one so it's less noticeable (to guests) when it rings. Another tip: mentioning that you'll get your high table when you arrive is great, but if this is always emphasized negatively, you'll wonder why they're there. Maybe tone it down a bit? 😉 One more: the restrooms could be better; suddenly you feel like you're in a mediocre place. See you next vacation ☺️👍

We had a wonderful time at Vito Terschelling. The Neapolitan pizzas were delicious – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with genuine care. Combined with the friendly service and cozy atmosphere, this made our evening perfect. We'll definitely be back!

Restaurant Vito, located in the heart of Midsland, is a true culinary gem on Terschelling. The Neapolitan cooking method is clearly evident in their pizza dough, which rises for at least 24 hours—you can taste it immediately: the crust is light, easily digestible, and unparalleled in texture. What stands out is the refined simplicity of their offerings: no excess, but pure, rich flavors. Whether you choose a traditional Margherita, the truffle-rich Tartufo Funghi, or the luxurious Amalfi with Parma ham and buffalo mozzarella. And the pasta dishes are equally impressive: from a refreshing Spaghetti Aglio e Olio to a rich pasta verdura, they know how to make every ingredient shine. Poor food. This food is as far from Italian as Terschelling is from Italy. Cheap Dutch ingredients. Not the freshness and the simplicity from the Italian cuisine. At the positive side, the service is fast and enthusiastic. A great crew that deserves a better environment. I have eaten at hundreds of Italian restaurants in my life. I would not recommend this restaurant to any friend, certainly not an Italian friend.

The food was truly delicious, from a wonderful salad to a perfectly balanced pasta dish with a lovely wine, and a delicious tiramisu to finish. The service was fantastic, with every need met without even asking. I wouldn't choose anywhere else on Terschelling.

The food was truly fantastic!!! Great service, and you definitely get your money's worth (with very reasonable prices anyway)! By far one of the best pastas I've ever had. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect. If you're ever on Terschelling, this is a must-try. We'll definitely be back.

We arrived and it started with everyone having to sit apart, then we ate pizza and after 5 to 10 minutes, 15 out of 20 people started having stomach aches.

We arrived for dinner with 20 people and couldn't sit together. We understand that, but not when one table is near the entrance, another near the kitchen, and the last one near the restrooms. We were asked once if we'd like a drink, and we sat there for two hours. By the time the food arrived, we'd already finished our glasses, and no one bothered to ask. The food was good at the time, but after we left the restaurant, 17 of the 20 people got severe stomach cramps and were sick in bed all evening.

We had a very tasty meal recommended by a family member, however the pizza was not cut, that was the only downside, but otherwise it was a great place.

Everyone hated the pizzas. Everyone was either puking or feeling awful. There were 20 of us eating, and practically everyone was either shitting or puking. I wouldn't go there!! The atmosphere was fine, but the servers are strange. We had a reservation for 20 people and were then separated into three separate groups!

Ate with 20 people, everyone was sick, plus everyone had to get hemorrhoid cream. You should be paid to eat there, nothing else.

Delicious food for a great price. The only improvement could be a few more pasta and pizza options. I missed the Quattro Formaggi pizza and lasagna on the menu. But it's extensive enough to still have a choice! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is excellent. Beautiful restaurant with excellent food. Delicious food here for a great price. Definitely recommended.

We had a great meal here last night, service is great! A MUST! We are going back here on Sunday.

First the wrong order was brought. Later the right one. But the pasta carbonara was really not okay. Sticky/lumpy pasta. No nice creamy Carbonara. And the ravioli had hardly any filling. Maybe the pizzas are good, but this was really a waste of money.

Another delicious meal at Vito's! In preparation for the fjoer tour, it is recommended to take the pasta with garlic and red pepper, then you will certainly have enough energy to complete the 22 km. In other words, a top specialty restaurant.

Enjoyed Vito's immensely! Surprisingly tasty pizzas (Neapolitan style), relaxed atmosphere and very friendly service that knows how to respond to the needs of the guests. The next time we are on Terschelling, we will definitely go back. Big tip!

Had excellent pizzas and pastas. Had to wait a little longer until it was ready, but that didn't spoil the fun.

Very good place to eat really good food! The pizzas are of good quality and you definitely want to eat the edge! The desserts are also highly recommended. You don't have to hesitate, just step inside

We ordered pizzas this evening and unfortunately I ordered the wrong one. There was almost nothing to do. The soil was perfect. But it took a long time before we received anything because the order had not been forwarded. We were given a drink for the inconvenience and that made up for a lot.

If you are on Terschelling, a visit to Vito is definitely worth it! When you step inside you will immediately be greeted in a friendly manner. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant and the staff provided us with a fantastic evening. In addition, the food was also exceptionally delicious, there were six of us and we each had a different dish, each of which tasted excellent. All in all we had a great evening, with good service and fantastic food. Definitely worth it!!!

After we decided to eat here, we read the reviews from low to high. I found the reactions of the average large pizza chain-loving curmudgeons who don't understand what a Neapolitan pizza is and spout their bile in the reviews extremely amusing 🤣. I thoroughly enjoyed my pizza. The dough was delicious, light but crispy. Lovely thick collar with a thin bottom in the middle. As the Neapolitan should be. The toppings were fresh and generous. In particular, the Frutti di Mare that my father-in-law ordered looked very authentic and festive. The location (we sat inside) was very attractive and beautifully decorated. Staff was very friendly and walked by often enough to check if everything was as expected. We enjoyed!

Delicious food, pizza dough is made here in house and they let it rise for a day, making it super airy and crispy (on the outside) Start with bruschetta and a sandwich, which is also homemade and fresh, nice and light and very tasty. We went again a few days later and also took pictures of the main courses (we thought it was a good excuse...)

Main course: the basis of the food is good and tastes authentic. Just a pity that there is no bread and olive oil on the table! Soft drinks are served without ice or lemon (in a warm glass). Dessert: delicious brownie! Tiramisu lacked flavour. Wine: little choice but ok

Went to the pizzeria yesterday. We have been there many times over the years and our friends had their wedding dinner there and until yesterday it was all great and full of praise. We ordered 4 piza frutti di mare and my partner asked if it could be done without the squid rings. That wasn't possible because everything was already mixed together before the pizza was made, but when she got it she could easily remove it so why not in the kitchen? Then we were told that they only had 2 frutti di mare left and whether all 4 of us wanted a half and 4 other half pizzas or 2 people the frutti di mare and 2 people another pizza. We went for 4 halves. The 2 half cheese pizzas were bare and had some cheese on it but not even a leaf of arugula or anything. The 2 half salmon pizzas were tasteless. Dessert was ice cream with caramel and espresso. When we got them it was a glass of melted ice cream with espresso and a very bitter aftertaste. The ladies wanted coffee with 3 chocolates and then they said that they only had pure which one of the ladies did not like. Unfortunately, we no longer plan to return.

Yesterday we had a bite to eat at Vito's, on the advice of friends. There was plenty to see on the street and we had plenty of time. We ordered a bread board as a starter and a pizza as a main course. The service was very friendly and neat. The atmosphere was good on the street. After ten minutes the starter and main course were served on the table. We thought that was a shame. Anyway: Oerol —> don't complain :) Both pizzas were very tasty. Starter was not necessary. We will definitely come back for a bite to eat next year!

Great meal again. As far as I'm concerned, it's a must for some good Italian food. Committed and friendly employees. Recommended: Frutti di Mare pizza, well stocked with all those goodies from the sea and the home-made Tiramisu. I'm not a dessert lover, I never actually have dessert, but this tiramisu is here to stay. And an extra point for the crew. Friendly, personable, advisory and interested.

You can eat gluten-free (and also lactose-free) here! The food is incredibly tasty and they take your allergies into account very well and know very well what they are talking about. We can't wait to eat here again!

Fantastic service and really good pizza and pasta. Management is attentive and thinks along. The pizza was very tasty with a good strong, but thin base. Pasta was delicious. Prices are very low for the quality. In terms of decoration, it could be a little more atmospheric, but that is only a minor point.

VITO is a well-kept Italian restaurant that, once inside, reminds you of the first pizzerias in the Netherlands. At least…like in my student days. Simply very pleasant! The service is also relaxed and attentive. The sweet Cherise takes the time for you, gives good tips (the house wine is a nice, smooth wine) and she makes you feel really welcome. And then the pizzas! I had already read good reviews but ooioii...they were very true!! I have only eaten the 'frutti di mare' in Lemmer (la Gondola) and at pizzeria Pingjum, just as deliciously fresh and rich. So…just like that!! (Frisian for 'don't delay, get a pizza!!'…or something like that…)

Ordered four different pizzas for my family and picked them up at this restaurant in Midsland. It was my first time coming there. What a positive surprise! The base was really great, and the topping no less. I got the tastiest frutti di mare ever (see photo). And that for a very reasonable price. We will do that more often when we are on Terschelling!

Delicious pizza at Vito's! Spicy salami was also nice and spicy (usually it's regular salami). Tasty crust, delicious tomato sauce. Nice people in the service, came by at the right times to ask if anything was needed. Fast service despite being busy. So great!
