It was a lovely evening spent in the terrace portion of the place. I enjoyed the monthly special drink they had.

The restaurant has a good location in the central neighborhood of Utrecht. This is a type of place to share the plates since they are small each. However, the rations are made such a way that it is very difficult to share plates. At the end you end up paying more and getting less for each euro paid. Basically it's a rip off. Thus, I don't recommend this place if you are more than two persons as you end up overpaying. Cocktails were a better value.

Really good food, but tiny portions. What I had was very, very good though.

Menh's service was very professional. I understand some very basic English, but not enough to hold a conversation. He made an effort to speak a little Spanish. Thank you.

From the outside, it looks like a nice little place to sit on the terrace. Cozy under the trees with picnic tables, it looks very inviting. I was there with a friend and our 6 children (ages between 5 and 13). After a day in Utrecht, we thought we'd just have a nice drink and a snack. We ended up ordering the large platter of bar snacks and thought we'd get some fries with mayo and some portions of truffle fries. We couldn't order the fries, because that was only possible if you ordered à la carte. What a letdown, and ridiculous. We were sitting on the terrace, not dining in a fancy setting. So, just the bar snacks. Where we had expected cheese soufflés and frikandellen, this was served with fried shrimp, spring rolls, cheese sticks, and bitterballen. This was delicious, but a disappointment for our kids haha! The price was also quite high for 8 glasses of soft drink and 1 platter of bar snacks: almost €60!!! The service was very welcoming and cheerful, but we won't be coming back here anytime soon.

Went there for a reunion with former colleagues. Took a while since we ordered as we were catching up. Staff was patiënt and friendly ha ha ha. Had a very nice time. Food was great, service was too notch. Definitely worth going there. Very good vibe and you're not getting the feeling that you're a number.

Came across this restaurant while strolling through Utrecht. We got something to drink and some nachos. We just went to grab a quick bite and some drinks but people around us were having lunch which all look really appetizing. Our food was nice and service was fast and friendly.

Very pleasant place with helpful and attentive staff. The waitresses were nice and smiling. A big plus is the spacious terrace with comfortable tables under the trees, where you can sit really comfortably. It is located right in the city center, but despite this, it is not too busy, so you can enjoy your meal or coffee in peace.

We went there for dinner and it was one of the worst experiences ever food-wise... 1. The Nacho's were actually Doritos with cheese and the sauces on the side (guacamole, etc) were clearly bought from the supermarket 2. The chicken thighs in a sort of souvlaki appearance were almost inedible and super expensive 3. The meatballs were ok-ish, but also too expensive for a shared dish All in all, it was a good thing the kids wanted bitterballen and kaasstengels (they were from the supermarket of course), because we could at least eat something... I wouldn't recommend it for dinner, the food is very bad quality wise, tasteless and very expensive.

On Friday, July 3rd, we came here to celebrate something with friends on the terrace. Nice location and pleasant atmosphere. A special mention for Stef: very friendly, alert, and service-oriented. When we were being harassed by a young man under the influence, he intervened quickly and professionally. As a result, we still had a very enjoyable evening. Definitely recommended!

i’m visiting from overseas and ended up coming in twice because the food is so good and stef and faye are the sweetest!! amazing customer service, every time i called for them they were so helpful and so fun. cannot wait to come back next time i’m in town!

The staff was really terribly passively aggressive and rude.

Nice place to chill for a couple of drinks, the plaza is a little away from the main buzz and felt comfortably quiet and relaxed. Service at JackRabbit was friendly and welcoming. BUT beware of the cozy looking benches under the trees. Sat there for like one minute and had bird poop on me, looking into the treetops and at the cushions it seemed that this is not an occasional thing.

I have rarely been treated so poorly in a hospitality establishment as at JackRabit in Utrecht. What started as a normal evening ended in sheer astonishment at the staff's behavior. Several employees were downright unfriendly, which makes it difficult to dismiss it as an isolated incident. During service, I was snapped at in a snarling tone that I needed to “put my hands away,” as if I were doing something wrong simply by sitting at the table. As if that weren't enough, a blonde employee came by later and made it clear to us in a particularly blunt manner that we had to leave. Remarks like “go away” and “clean up yourself” were hurled at us without any semblance of politeness. A certain degree of directness might be understandable in a busy pub, but this went far beyond the boundaries of normal customer friendliness. It felt disrespectful and unprofessional. For me, hospitality is the foundation of a good dining experience, and that was completely lacking here. Consequently, I will certainly not be returning.

If you want to eat, go somewhere else ! It takes ages to receive the food. Even the beers take way too long to receive them. Portions are small in general and for the money they are ridiculously small.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jack Rabbit is a lovely spot for lunch on the Neude. Cozy terrace, nice atmosphere, and perfect for settling down for a moment while enjoying the view of the square. The Caesar Sandwich was truly delicious: generously filled, fresh, and full of flavor. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere complete the picture. Definitely recommended for a tasty lunch in Utrecht! 🥪

Staff refused to Split the bill. For people traveling for work this is a big issue for reporting expenses and should be announced beforehand. Food was good.

A disgrace. A half-empty restaurant that refused us entry because we had a baby in a stroller. And a clown of a waiter pretending there wasn't enough room. Go elsewhere and try the restaurant next door; it's fantastic and respectful.

The cocktails are very tasty and experimental, and the staff is not unfriendly, but I wouldn't call them sociable.

This is probably the best restaurant in the whole Utrecht. Me and my partner had 5 meals plus 2 deserts in total and each of the meals tasted so different. It is really a presentation of a modern gastronomy and it shows food can be done in a new, surprising way. Even such a simple food like garlic flatbread tasted better. I also enjoyed their significant cocktails. We had a server named Judith and she has made the whole experience even better with her approach. We have unfortunately found a hair in our tzatziki, but she apologised thoroughly and offered to give us a new portion, which we didn't take because we were already full. She ended up taking the whole meal from our bill without us asking and she apologised again. Even though this inconvenience happened, her reaction is why we are still giving 5 stars. She did a great job. I was joking that I'd like to take the chef of this restaurant home so they can cook for me every day. The food they cooked looked so appealing and had an explosion of unexpectedly flavourful taste. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures of the food and drinks but I'm sure whatever you get will look amazing. For 4 dishes, 2 deserts, 2 cocktails and 2 beers we payed 111 euros.

Me and my friends were supposed to go to Jackrabbit last night. We were asking the security outside if they have a table for four. One person from our group was checking by the door if it’s busy inside. Then the security decided to grab him by the arm and aggressively pulled him! It was very disrespectful! We were talking to him but he also physically intimidated us.

We had an unpleasant experience with men who bothered us on the terrace. Then the handsome waiter with a mustache came and gave us another spot, which was very nice.

They sell the food experience as "shared dining concept", but portions are incredibly small for the price with respect to most of the other restaurants. To make it a shared dining concept, the dishes should have an acceptable amount of bites. Therefore, I left the restaurant incredibly disappointed.

Curly haired waiter was really lovely, and not all of us wanted to drink. He offered a water for the others which was greatly appreciated. The main “manager” waiter with goatee beard came over and had a go at us. He told us we couldn’t have water, and when I ordered a lemonade he wouldn’t give me one because “it was for children” - i’m 20. He was rude and arrogant and belittled us. The curly haired waiter was so lovely and we felt bad that he has to work with such a rude colleague. Would not come here again.

A great start to this beautiful summer day. Sometimes it's too crowded and you're turned away from the terrace, but the people are positive. A fun way to explore Utrecht.

They have mice issues here. We were eating inside this restaurant and all of a sudden there was a mouse running through the restaurant (coming from the kitchen). They are aware of this issue, as the lady working there mentioned they were dealing with it. I will never return.

We wanted a coffee before leaving Utrecht yesterday. We stopped here and immediately we found out how cozy the outside was, we stayed outside because it was warm with they’re warmer but inside was even better. The thing that we appreciated the most was the kindness of the waitress, they were all so nice with us. And also the toilet was very clean and that’s so rare to find in busy and central restaurants! We will come back again!

Went there for a brunch and drinks. On a decently warm day, with a larger group. We were sat outside. The service was sufficiently prompt, polite, all good from me. I had the Eggs Royale, very nice. Good portion, well seasoned. The other brunches from the group also looked good. Also ordered a drink (perhaps out of a lack of self respect), the Mr. Marsh Mellow was a fun espresso martini variation. Perhaps something to drink as a desert to something rather than beforehand.

After "going to the movies" we wanted a drink without walking to much. Neude was filled to the brim but we managed to find a table outside. Rather cold but very cozy. You have to scan a code from the menu and order. Or something like that. We did not succeed and the waiter was so attentive of it. He smiled, took our order and did a whole photoshoot of us. What a lovely guy. The coffee and hot choclate tasted great. Thank you Jack Rabbit.

Unfortunately, they didn't have half-liter beers. We were eight friends and wanted to sit at one long table, but that wasn't allowed—instead, we were moved to two picnic tables, which was completely inconvenient. When I tried to order two beers for myself, I was told, "One drink per person." When I told my friends this place sucks, the waitress sardonically replied, "Then go somewhere else." Bad service.
