Geweldig BBQ-restaurant met een gezellige sfeer en supervriendelijke bediening. Het vlees was perfect bereid – vooral de spareribs en brisket waren top! Alles smaakte vers en goed op smaak. Zeker een aanrader voor BBQ-liefhebbers. Wij komen zeker terug!

Very nice place to eat with your company...enough choice in many different types of meat. It is advisable to use a pan if you do not want pork to be mixed with beef or chicken...this way you can prevent that. A tip that I also want to give the restaurant is to clearly state this on a sign so that it is visible to everyone. The vegetables and other bbq meat is well expanded and neatly displayed with clear signs. It tasted very good and the staff is friendly and helpful. The toilets are neat and clean and the children's area is also good that it is there. In short, for us a recommendation and a place to go again.

Jaren geleden hier geweest en toen was het geweldig! Heerlijk vlees en vis en lekkere koude gerechten. Wij kregen destijds toen zelfs verse oesters om eens te proberen. Was toen ook gewoon erg gezellig qua sfeer. Nu was het echt schrikken, salades ( meeste niet zelfgemaakt) en boterhamworst met augurk 🫣 En het vlees, sorry maar dat was voornamelijk van het goedkope soort, worst, hamburgers etc. En de bbq’s gingen op den duur al uit terwijl we er nog maar anderhalf uur waren. Er bleef 1 bbq aan, ook werd ons gevraagd of we nog van de live - cooking gebruik wilden maken ( toen was het half negen). Echt zo anders dan toen we hier jaren geleden waren. De live-cooking was wel erg lekker! We vonden het echt teleurstellend en mochten we hier weer in de buurt zijn, dan komen we niet weer langs. Erg spijtig!

What a nice place for a dinner or birthday. Just returned from Jan Steen where my mother-in-law celebrated her 75th birthday. Delicious and good quality food and very friendly staff. Wide choice of drinks. Plates and bottles were always neatly collected. Especially the manager/owner had everything well under control and came every now and then to ask if everything was okay. The dining room is large but because of the corners and separate spaces it feels cozy and pleasant. In short: recommended.

Jan Steen is not going there. We eat out regularly. And this time we thought something different than usual. We did not like it. Tough meat, chips, spring roll potatoes etc. etc. cold in the containers and for the bbq simple meat, you might as well go to the store then it is better to eat. This was the 1st and last time we went there.

15 november jl waren wij 50 jaar getrouwd en hebben dit jubileum bij restaurant Jan Steen in Tubbergen gehouden. Met de eigenaar van het restaurant hebben wij een all-in prijs afgesproken pp, deze stond ons wel aan en de kwaliteit van het eten was formidabel. De eigenaar was vriendelijk en welwillend betreffende 50 jaar versiering in en buiten het restaurant. De zaal was versierd in kerstsfeer. De afruimbediening was snel en accuraat en alles was ruim voorradig voor elk wat wils en werd regelmatig ververst en aangevuld. De kwaliteit van het eten en van het ijsbuffet was door een ringetje te halen. Zekers de moeite waard om nog een keer te gaan, wij bevelen Jan Steen aan om samen met vrienden of gezin lekker en uitgebreid te gaan eten. Jan Steen, bedankt voor de goede verzorging.. groet Fam. Where you think you can eat well, you unfortunately come back from a rude awakening... where the food is handled with bare hands, raw and cooked... where it is too full for the space available. We had hoped to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary here, but this turned out to be a complete disaster. Restaurant Jan Steen I will not come here again and will certainly not recommend it to others... Jan Steen where they charge a lot of money for little. Where your table is completely cleared and prepared for the next customer, we still had at least an hour to go here and it certainly does not seem hospitable. I went to the toilet at the last minute to discover that the men's toilets were completely covered in dried urine. Downright ridiculously dirty. You have to prepare some of the food yourself here on a large grill. When we were there you had to wait until it was your turn and then you grilled over a hot grill for 5 to 10 minutes. Few vegetables because they cannot be prepared well on the grill (they fall in too quickly). You can have a piece of salmon and steak prepared by a chef. It is fried in oil and is therefore quite tasteless, but you don't have to fry it yourself so that makes a difference. There are also salads etc that are already ready, just like the desserts. It's not bad, but I wouldn't go there again.

Locatie en ambiance is geweldig, parkeerplek is er niet voldoende. Interieur past er goed bij, personeel is gezellig en vriendelijk. Na 20.00 lijkt de eigenaar je liever kwijt dan rijk te zijn. Kwaliteit van het eten vlees en vis is zeer matig.
