Japans Restaurant Matuya in Centrum

Have been here for 1.5 hours now and have actually received 10 dishes from the 1st round. So very slow.

After having eaten here for years, we have already experienced a bad day here in terms of the speed of the dishes, but I did not want to pass judgment on this and give them the benefit of the doubt. We went to eat there again tonight with our children, but unfortunately I have to say that we will not be coming here again. We were able to do 3 rounds in 3 hours, that is 1 round per hour because it took a really long time before it was served. After another hour of waiting I was done with it and just as we were getting ready to go home, my last missing part of round 3 was put on the table, unfortunately they were allowed to take it back with us. I think it's a shame that a business that ran perfectly years ago has now become one big chaos.

Food were good… Service were really bad. We have waited 15 mins for each round and on our 4th round of orders, 40 mins passed… until now I am writing this reviews, we haven’t received our order. This is sooo sad to have on Valentine’s Day 😒😭

We have been eating here for a long time now, but it has not gotten any better. The food was not particularly tasty and it took a long time before we got anything even though it was not busy at all. Our food was also brought to other tables, in short, a downer for us. money No more Matuya for me

Tonight, the second day of Christmas, we had dinner with you. The sushi was okay, but I expected more variety of dressings. The tenderloin was very tasty, as well as the crispy and shrimp sushi. Too bad the seaweed from the hand rolls tasted tough instead of crispy. The specified dishes were gradually on our table within 10/15 minutes, but when it became a bit busier this took a little longer. Sometimes we did not receive dishes that we had ordered in a round. The waitress came to ask what we were missing, because our table had been empty for a while. I think the overview in the kitchen or with the waitresses was a bit lost due to the crowds. I missed some background music in the restaurant. Maybe now especially because there was a large group of crying little children next to us ;)

Delicious sushi, great service and friendly people!

First time here, really liked it! Walked in here with my daughter after shopping, received a very welcome, good and polite staff, fast service and absolutely great food. Clean restaurant. Benches are comfortable. We had a great time.

Pffff, never seen such a shabby mess. Even though I understand that many chains need substitute workers, this affects everything. Service = rubbish Food = mediocre..... at least if you even get the food you order, because half of it is forgotten. And when you point this out, people laugh frantically. What a disappointment!..... You won't see me again!

TERRIBLE SERVICE from this restaurant. >2.5 hours<waiting time they apparently think is completely normal for a delivery... and then they are surprised that I want to cancel the order and want my money back. Ordered via home delivery and the delivery time was 50 minutes. Excellent! This was after the order was placed and had already been extended to 90 minutes!! I then called the restaurant and the delivery could be brought forward by 15 minutes despite the crowds. After 100 minutes still no food, I called the restaurant again and finally I got the female employer on the phone and she told me that after waiting 115 minutes the order was being made NOW and it would take another 30 minutes. THIS IS REALLY RIDICULOUS! After repeating four times that I no longer need the order and wanted my money back, she FINALLY understood. I really understand that it can be busy and this takes longer, but first of all, you communicate this to your paying customer!

Delicious food and fantastic service!

Food is still fine, but we had to wait far too long for the dishes, which arrived at the table one by one. Underage clerks who had no idea what they were doing did not remember drinking well. People were just walking away around us Room for improvement.

As promised a review: Almost every week we order delicious sushi from you at our home. Quality and price are excellent. The delivery person is always very friendly. The food is neatly packaged and the food is also hot. Last week we were very surprised by a large extra meal that we received from you. By ordering and not picking up from a customer, we received so much sushi for free that we are extremely grateful to you for this. Super attentive and sweet! The neighbors obviously also enjoyed this. It was fantastic and delicious.

Good food, been there twice and nice and quiet

Lots of choice of dishes. Sushi is very tasty. Service is very friendly. The restaurant itself has little atmosphere. Nevertheless, the sushi is very tasty, so a reason to come back.

I always enjoy a delicious meal at Matuya. The food is deliciously fresh, the owner and staff super friendly and above all a top restaurant!

Very large selection with very good quality! We (a family of four) also found the service very pleasant.

quality of service is terrible! they packed the wrong order for me. when I called to tell about it, they promised to give what was missing for free next time. now that I called I don't want to give anything by shirking thuisbezorg. the boss just hits the phone during a conversation... I don't recommend it. The waiting time for an order that I pick up myself is also ridiculously long. I will definitely not come back here, people without honor, lying without any problems.

Good food Service is super friendly, top notch

This was the first introduction to Matuya, but certainly not the last! Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff. Next time order a little less because you will continue to eat, it was that tasty.

First time there 5 years ago, everything was fine. But last Wednesday, February 14, things went completely wrong. All tables on 2nd floor received the ordered food with huge delay of about 1.5-2 hours (if they were lucky to get anything). After waiting 3 hours we didn't even get all the dishes of the 2nd round (while there are 4 rounds in all-you-can-eat). There used to be normal staff, but now only underage Moroccans who are completely useless and just chat and laugh and could offer no explanation or help in that situation. Worthless! Ultimately, after 3.5 hours, we couldn't wait any longer and asked if we could take the food away. It was ready quickly, but later it turned out that it was not what we ordered and also 2 times less in quantity. Just as if they gave us someone else's order (for home delivery). Very bad.

Delicious food in this nice tent! Been for the first time, but definitely recommended. Staff was good and fast. Parking was also easy (and free) next to the shopping center. The only (small) downsides would be the plastic plates and that the air conditioning was perhaps a bit too cold. But that didn't spoil the fun.

Staff is shy and don't even ask if you enjoyed it. They also don't wish you tasty food. I also returned the fruit mix. I received 4 small pieces of unripe melon, which I do not call a fruit mix. No more 2x for me.

Really the best sushi we have eaten so far and we have been to many places. They even offer special dishes that were also well prepared. And if even my partner says that, that means something! We were helped by a very friendly gentleman. He also thought along with us to make it as fun as possible for our 4-year-old daughter. Yes, we would love to come back here!

Very tasty food, everything fresh and hot, many different choices. Super nice staff and good service.

The best All You Can Eat sushi restaurant we have been to so far! One where you really leave satisfied, where you also have plenty of choice from various surprising dishes... sushi to which they pay more attention than another all you can eat. More beautifully decorated with sauces, herbs & spices. Surprising pieces such as sushi with ribeye, steak or banana... we ourselves love fish and they have more than enough choice, such as many salmon and tuna options with tasty combinations, but you can even order a sole or crispy tuna tartare (without extra price). )! Very friendly and fast staff and enough space to enjoy a quiet meal! A beer and wine list, which you don't often find at regular all you can eats... in short, we will definitely come back here when our minds are set on sushi! 10% tip was more than worth it!

After some searching on Google, we reserved a table here. We were received very kindly. The restaurant downstairs is a bit lacking in atmosphere, but that is made up for by the friendliness of the staff (I suspect the owner). The food is fine, I liked the nigiri better than the rolls but all the hot dishes were tasty. Definitely a good price/quality ratio. We will definitely come back again.

Voor een gemoedelijk sushi-restaurant waar je op je gemak kunt bijpraten, lekkere sushi kunt bestellen en erg vriendelijk geholpen wordt. De gebakken banaan is erg lekker ;)

Heerlijk eten !!! We hebben ons laten verrassen!! Voor herhaling vatbaar ! Fles water is alleen beetje duur ( 10.05 ) !!

Heerlijk gegeten en gezellig gehad. 1e keer net voor de LockDown en nu weer.

Eten was erg lekker zoals altijd wel jammer dat personeel met airpods(oordopjes) in lopen dit staat niet erg klant vriendelijk.

De sushi die we vanavond besteld hadden was opzich prima, maar de pokebowl was echt een enorme teleurstelling. Voor €12 euro een minibowl waar 80% rijst in zit. Dit mag echt verbeterd worden.

Het eten is zeer gevarieerd en echt heerlijk! Alleen een keer besteld en toen werd het 45 minuten te vroeg bezorgd. Niet echt handig als ik nog thuis moet komen. Vanavond werd het 45 minuten te laat bezorgd. Zonder te laten weten en dat terwijl ik mijn telefoonnummer en e-mail adres moet vermelden op het bestelformulier. Eten goed, maar bezorging is knudde!!

Heerlijk eten, ruime keuze. Kleine gerechtjes, en je kunt 4 rondes van steeds 5 gerechtjes per persoon kiezen. Voor ons was 3 ronden ruim voldoende.

Lekker gegeten en vriendelijke bediening, maar je merkte wel dat het personeel het te druk had. Ze deden goed hun best en we hebben ervan genoten!

Prima sushi. Stond zelfs eerder klaar dan besteld

Wij komen hier al heel wat jaren en elke keer is het weer top! Het eten is altijd zeer goed en het personeel is supervriendelijk. De eigenaar komt vaak even een praatje maken aan tafel. Het is een all-you-can-eat restaurant, maar zeker geen vreetschuur. Hier kan je normaal een gesprek voeren, zonder dat de rest van de bezoekers je overstemmen. Je krijgt een kaart met 4rondes waarbij je 5 stuks per persoon per ronde kunt bestellen en dat is echt ruim voldoende.

Vriendelijk personeel, eten matig, veel keuze dat wel. En alleen betaald parkeren in de buurt.

Verse sushi, heerlijk en mooi opgediend. Super vriendelijk personeel.

Vandaag daar weer wezen eten. De sushi is gewoon heerlijk. Altijd vers en dus lekker
