The ambiance and interior design are very nice. The service only speaks English, and the English menu is a bit adventurous in its Google translation. We waited a long time for the food, which was only mediocre quality, even though the restaurant charges high prices for a Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately, the value for money isn't right here at all.

We went to get dinner and the overall experience was negative. The attention of waitress was good and the portions were fine. We ordered a glass of white wine and after a sip it was clear that it was oxidized, so we refused it. The flavors of the food were regular\bad, with all sauces with the same taste. The service was extremely slow, even though there was only 2 tables in use. We were really surprised when we saw the glass of -oxidized- wine on our bill, and we asked them to remove it because we didn't drink it,. Not only we were charged but the justification given was so unfriendly by the Asian lady in charge, that we just paid and decided never again go back. First and last time. In the meantime we keep going to the nearby Sakura, where we always have very good experience.

I called for a menu; by phone because it wasn't on the website. My husband went to pick it up. It turned out to be 90 euros worth of food, even though I'd ordered three dishes and two bami nasi. And then they were rude at the counter, and then on the phone, saying something went wrong. I'm astonished. The quality was also poor. Greasy, dry food.

For 39 (!) years, a household name in Castricum, run by the same family. As a family, we've enjoyed countless delicious meals, both takeout and dinner. 👍🏻👍🏻 Very generous portions, an incredibly extensive menu, fresh (and definitely not greasy!), and very flavorful. (If anyone says they've had a negative experience, I simply can't believe it.) So, if you're looking for delicious Chinese food, Jasmin Garden is an absolute must! 😊

The food wasn't very seasoned, and the staff forgot to ask for drinks during the meal. They might be beginners. But now... those chocolates with the coffee/tea. Round ones wrapped in gold... my goodness, have they been out of date for a year or so?????? This was a big NO GO. It was sickening.

Unfortunately, we had a completely different experience than before. The woman behind the counter asked if everything was to our liking, but she absolutely cannot handle criticism. We waited a very long time for the main course and inquired about it. According to the woman, this was due to the busy takeout and the restaurant. We sat in the restaurant all evening, but it wasn't busy at all. My dish, "authentic nasi dish," came with the same blob of orange sauce, except for the satay. The other dishes were fine and tasty. She ignored this, apparently not interested in how the dish was served. Then she suddenly became very rude, which clearly echoes the other reviews. She claimed I was the first to have this experience, but apparently she never reads the reviews and doesn't comment. This restaurant has more stars than it deserves. We won't be returning for the time being and will pay closer attention to the reviews from now on.

Rude service at the takeaway counter... an unfriendly lady says in a curt manner that she has never heard of Peking duck in Bali sauce and that it is not for sale in Chinese restaurants... I ordered Duck Cantonese style... I'm curious about the (after)taste later. Shame.

Geen aanrader qua eten de indische rijsttafel was Chineese keuken . En tijdens ons bezoek werd er om ons geen geschoven en gedaan met tafels omdat er de volgende dag een groep van 30 personen kwam eten . Gaf heel onwelkom gevoel

The best Chinese I've eaten in years. The ingredients were good and you notice that they make it themselves instead of heating it up. They even stayed open a little longer because we were late picking up. Delicious food

Almost empty place on Saturday evening. Atmosphereless and the young service without experience was hanging in the corner chatting with the 4 of us. Food was decent but service was spotty. Desert with artisanal ice cream was a joke. Ice cream from the supermarket and not frozen properly. We will skip this restaurant next time.

Worst service ever – downright scary! I have visited many restaurants in my life, but what I experienced at Jasmin Garden in Castricum really beats everything. I asked in a normal manner how long it would take before my order was ready. To my surprise, the employee became furious. Not just irritated, but really aggressive. I honestly felt threatened and thought for a moment that she was going to attack me. This is no joke. This is no way to treat customers. The food was not very tasty at all, but if you as a customer experience fear in a restaurant, the limit has really been reached. This was my first and last visit to Jasmin Garden. Absolutely outrageous!

Line up in the line of insufficient! Had ordered by phone, could take at least 20 minutes, so we neatly there...after waiting outside for 45 minutes in the car double parked inside...would still take a while...short grumpy reaction, addressed that it was taking extremely long, but immediately fierce reaction that at least 20 minutes had been said...yes it can take 2 days and then you claim right away...??..when addressed annoying reactions, no sorry, no drink. Then also an old woman who started screaming that I should just go outside... Wow...screaming at their open restaurant...then I also screamed that this would be the last time for me! Was standard combination menu...disgrace! At home also a significant reduction in quality!! In addition to expensive!! Next time Babi Pangang supermarket 5 minutes in microwave broken, better and faster!!

Food is much less tasty than years ago. Not as spicy anymore, somewhat flat flavors. For a Chinese restaurant, Jasmin Garden is quite expensive, I didn't mind in the past, now it's no longer worth the effort / the extra money. Worse is the unfriendly staff. When ordering, a waiting time of (at least) 20 minutes was promised. This eventually became more than 45!! minutes. You're standing there waiting without anything being said about it. Only my questions were answered, at first they kept saying that it would 'be there soon'. A second time, a bit more irritated, it ended in a loud shouting through the restaurant. Even if a customer is disappointed and grumbling, this should never happen in my opinion. Indicating yourself that it takes a bit longer than promised or showing understanding for irritation due to the much longer waiting time can easily prevent something like this. To then say 'I told you it would be at least 20 minutes...' I find very inappropriate.

Interior and ambience very cool. The food was a disappointment across the board. Everything just lukewarm. The composition is strange and the taste is extremely bad, at least questionable. All sauces taste like ready-made products from the bucket. I prefer to cook at home.

You see them less and less. A Chinese restaurant. During our short holiday in Egmond aan Zee and during movinight in Castricum, I saw one. This is the most beautiful restaurant I have seen in years. What nice staff. Friendly and helpful. Although my wife is not a fan, she chose number 124. She was surprised and loved it. My number 115 was the traditional dishes that I have known from a young age. Still, I was surprised by the flavors I tasted. Highly recommended. Both for the ambiance and certainly for the dishes. Compliments to the chef and staff.

Ate there at Christmas with a small group. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. The Christmas menu consisted of a starter. That was the best of all. The soup was fine. The main course was tasteless. I felt like it had been prepared days in advance and frozen. It was also very greasy. The rice was soggy. Dessert was a scoop of ice cream with collapsed cream on top and something green that we left behind. The price at Christmas is higher, we know, but far too expensive for the quality of the food. Service was okay. The two boys did their best. We found the atmosphere lacking at Christmas. It is very dark with black ceilings and no Christmas decorations. Before the corona we had a nice meal there. Nowadays it is no longer recommended.

Jasmin Garden is a romantic Chinese restaurant, beautifully decorated. 'Indische rijsttafel' for two is tasty and recommended, as far as I'm concerned. However ... service is down horrible! No appetizers while 20' waiting for ordering. Teenagers are serving, who may mean well, but being straight out of the school banks obviously have not the faintest idea about what customers desire. Tea after is not served in a tea pot, but happens to be a tea bag next to a glass of hot water, giving 'cheap' a who new meaning. The only Chinese woman in charge however topped it all, answering my questions quite aggressively. Maybe it's no wonder why the restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night ...

Until corona time, we always had a good meal there and occasionally on site in the restaurant. However, after corona time (I usually eat pork in curry sauce with white rice), I noticed twice that the quality was less. Once the curry sauce was less spicy than before and recently this dish had much more vegetables than meat. Too bad, because it is a beautiful restaurant in itself, now we are still trying to improve the quality of the dishes to the situation before the corona period.

Friendly service and atmosphere, but unfortunately the quality of the food in this classic Chinese-Indian restaurant is not that good. In terms of taste, it can best be described as bland and sweet. Perhaps a certain target group will appreciate this, tastes differ.

Very young service and not well managed by the owner

Unfriendly and disinterested staff, not hospitable at all. Food was dumped in the middle of the table and no information was given about what the dish was or for which guest the dish was intended. The chicken livers were a poor performance by the chef, this was the last time for us, a shame because it was once the best Chinese restaurant in the area.

Yesterday, November 3, we had dinner there with 13 family members. The rice table was served but we had to wait for the individual menus. When they did not arrive, we were told that the dishes from the separate menus were among the rice table dishes. The leftovers were served to us. We demanded a full menu and no leftovers but had to solve it ourselves or order again and pay twice. When serving, a clear mistake was made by the service by not making the distinction between the rice table and the separate menus and we therefore expect that this would be handled correctly. Not so. The “hostess”, who clearly saw from her face, had missed her calling in the funeral business, did not intervene and left the young ministry to do the work. Overall a bad experience.

In 2020 met ouders en broer gegeten. Top! 3-112024 met 13 man familie. Werd ontvangen door een norse chinese dame. Bleek later het eten van 2 familieleden tussen een rijsttafel gezet van de anderen en 1 familielid nog geen eten gehad had. 3 Familieleden zaten zonder eten. Van hun eten was abusievelijk al gegeten doordat het leek te horen bij de rijsttafel van de andere familieleden. Hun aangegeten eten werd verplaatst en mijn 2 familieleden moesten dit opeten. Als ze dit niet wilden moeste zij opnieuw bestellen en.....opnieuw betalen. Geen excuses of bakkie koffie gratis van de zaak als genoegdoening. Na heel veel gedoe, ook met de norse chinese dame, uiteindelijk toch 2 nieuwe bestellingen zonder rekening maar wel avond behoorlijk verpest. Een aantal maaltijden was overigens lauw direct na het opdienen, daardoor niet echt lekker. Positief, ik kon voor de deur gratis parkeren. Gaan we nooit meer eten met zijn 13-en. Jammer hoor, zeker voor de jonge mensen in de bediening. Zij deden erg hun best maar slechte leerschool vanavond.

Best Chinese in the Netherlands... And China

Unfriendly lady, certainly not a hostess.. Simply ordered and picked up babi ketjap with noodles. Now I go to a Chinese restaurant more often, but the food here was substandard and had nothing to do with Chinese food. Tasteless wet weak soy sauce, indefinable vegetables found. The only thing that added any flavor was the few pieces of ham in the noodles. Very bad jasmin you should be ashamed!

Just got some and have to say the food is super good, that's why the one star is for it. But what a nasty and unfriendly woman working there, she was clearly irritated because I didn't know exactly what I wanted yet, A really bad experience with her. Won't go there again, it's a shame the food was really good. And when I read the other references I am not the first to complain about her behavior, maybe she should look for another job, I would have fired her a long time ago, or she should be the boss, then it is actually even worse.

Heerlijk Chinees gegeten. Ruime zaak met snel en vriendelijk personeel en het eten was ook meer dan de moeite waard. Ga hier zeker als Heemskerker nog eens eten want wij hebben dit helaas niet in Heemskerk. Aanrader

Ate here on Whit Monday, received a strange reception at the entrance, I think, by the manager, who was not familiar and responded in a friendly manner as you would expect in a restaurant. Nice interior and the Dutch service was friendly. But she apparently found it necessary to regularly scold the staff from the bottom in the presence of the customers. What a Witch, a nasty woman, go find a job where you work without people all day. She is rude and very nasty at the cash register towards people and staff. If the owner Mr. WU is smart, he will immediately put this woman (perhaps his own wife ☺️) out on the street, so that his beautiful Chinese restaurant can continue to exist THIS REALLY COSTS A LOT OF CUSTOMERS

Reception was already bizarre. We had not made a reservation, but that was not really received enthusiastically by the "hostess". The woman continued to amaze us all evening. Not normal how she "rules" in the restaurant. The young wait staff did a great job. The woman briefly attacked a young servant in front of the guests. We really didn't feel comfortable, you want to eat in a nice atmosphere. Food was nothing special. When paying, the amount was stolen and no thanks or good evening could be said. Once but never again. That such a person does not understand that she is so kindly helping the restaurant to ruin. Bizarre. She better find another job. Perhaps in a restaurant where they treat you rudely, she can just show her natural behavior. Man, what a disgrace. And I don't think we are really difficult people, but this hit everything. VAT, if you tip when paying by card, the staff will receive nothing.

Veel verschillende verhalen over dit Chinese restaurant gehoord , dus met Moederdag maar eens kijken en eten. Geen kroepoek oid vooraf op tafel , is dat erg ? Nee maar zou aardig zijn . Geen ti pan op de menukaart , erg jammer als je dat graag besteld . N beetje Chinees restaurant heeft dat gewoon . Verder was het eten goed maar niet bijzonder , wel kleine porties . We hadden thuis nog trek ( nog nooit meegemaakt ) antourage was erg donker … nee eenmalig voor ons . 3 sterrren

We went to Jasmin Garden without a reservation and were lucky to get a table. The interior inside is nice, and the place overall is quite atmospheric. We ordered Chinese cuisine meals and were surprised to get something that resembled what Europeans would cook at home and how they would serve it. Another disappointing point was that we asked to pack our leftovers to take them away, we got a "do it yourself" answer along with a tiny plastic container which wasn't enough at all. After that we left, and it was our first and last visit of the place.

Called for pick up. The lady on the phone seemed unfriendly, as if she didn't really feel like taking an order. I was about to say, never mind and I'll think of something else, but unfortunately we were craving Chinese. Order placed. The same lady was at the counter when we picked up the item. Bill was 8.50 euros higher than I expected. It involved 2 dishes of 28 euros each. All kinds of surcharges were added. So I showed them the map from their website. She says yes, it is from 2022. So I react surprised and ask whether she should pay that higher price. She says yes... it's that I was hungry, but really I should have just left. Okay, unfortunately the food was super tasty. The babi pangang, noodles and foe yong hai. Simply delicious! The 2-person dish was actually enough for 3 adults and 2 children (so large portions!) Easily enough for 2 days of food. But I don't think I'll ever order one again. I would say do something with this feedback.

Op vrijdagavond met twee vrienden een hapje gegeten bij de Jasmin Garden. In de menukaart staat op de eerste pagina dat je met "raad en daad" wordt bijgestaan om te kiezen uit het uitgebreide aanbod van gerechten. We waren al een tijd meer in een Chinees restaurant geweest en vroegen daarom om deze "raad en daad". We gaven aan dat we liever niet de traditionele gerechten wilden maar meer iets uit de Szechuan-keuken. De dame met het paarse haar, die blijkbaar ook terugkomt in andere recensies, werd er speciaal bijgehaald door het (prima werkende) jonge personeel om ons van "raad en daad" te voorzien. Maar daar kwam echter weinig van terecht. We moesten het in principe maar zelf uitzoeken en er werd geen millimeter met ons meegedacht en geen enkele raad gegeven. De dame met het Paarse haar was ronduit onbeschoft en totaal ongeschikt in haar functie. Het was ook niet zo dat het een hectische situatie was of iets dergelijks, er waren slechts vier tafeltjes bezet. En dat bleek toch wel een teken aan de wand te zijn. We waren in staat om op te staan en weg te lopen en achteraf gezien had ik dat liever gedaan. Het eten was oké, maar dit was geen leuke "uit eten ervaring". Ik hoop dat de mevrouw met het paarse haar snel op haar bezemsteel richting de Noorderzon vertrekt, anders zie ik de toekomst voor de Jasmin Garden helaas weinig rooskleurig in.

Had a bite to eat at the Jasmin Garden with two friends on Friday evening. The menu states on the first page that you will be assisted with "advice and assistance" to choose from the extensive range of dishes. We had been to a Chinese restaurant for some time and therefore asked for this "advice and assistance". We indicated that we would rather not have the traditional dishes but something from the Szechuan cuisine. The lady with the purple hair, who apparently also appears in other reviews, was specially called in by the (excellent) young staff to provide us with "advice and assistance". But little came of that. Basically we had to figure it out ourselves and no one thought along with us and no advice was given. The Purple haired lady was downright rude and completely unsuitable for her position. It wasn't like it was a hectic situation or anything like that, there were only four tables occupied. And that turned out to be a sign of the future. We were able to get up and walk away and in retrospect I wish I had done that. The food was okay, but this was not a nice "eating out experience". I hope that the lady with the purple hair will soon leave for the Noorderzon on her broomstick, otherwise I unfortunately don't see a bright future for the Jasmin Garden.

Na een lange tijd weer eens chinees gehaald hier. Eten was al koud bij thuis komst, vroeg mij al af of het wel vers gemaak was aangezien het eten binnen 5 minuten klaar was. Eten smaakt nergens naar en kosten zijn erg hoog voor de kwaliteit die je krijgt. Spijt dat ik hier mijn geld heb uitgegeven en want het eten is in de afvalbak geëindigd. Jullie waren altijd zo goed en lekker, jammer genoeg is daar niets meer van te proeven.

Prima gegeten, mooie ambiance. Personeel is wat jong maar doet wel z'n best en is vriendelijk.

Vroeger kwamen we hier wel eens en was het echt top, nu niet meer. Het restaurant was koud, hier klaagden meerdere mensen over, ons werd geadviseerd een sjaal om te doen. We zaten aan tafel met een wijntje en we konden de bestelling opnemen, tot ons verbazing was het eten er al na 5 minuten. We hadden drie zo genaamde specialiteiten besteld maar dat kan je geen specialiteiten noemen, weke kip met paprika, ui en cashew noten, krokante Peking eend met saus en een stoofpotje van diverse soorten vlees met champignons en ui. Alleen het stoofpotje was warm der rest was gewoon lauw en smakeloos. Hier ga ik nooit meer eten, wat een tegenvaller binnen een uur stonden we weer buiten. Veel succes, het zal mij benieuwen hoe lang deze toko nog bestaat.

Het restaurant (aankleding) en het eten is oke. Maar die dame met nu paars haar, vorige keer Rose haar, (ook niet representatief, maar smaken verschillen...) daar gaan je nekharen van overeind staan. Wat een onbeschofte en onvriendelijke vrouw, zij bepaalt de sfeer en ik geloof dat net als wij er veel mensen daardoor niet meer zullen komen. Zonde van een mooi restaurant.

Jasmin Garden is/was een begrip in Castricum, maar ik vind het telkens weer meer tegenvallen. Mijn ouders gaaner graag heen, dus ga ik maar mee. Het restaurant is mooi en authentiek, de bediening vriendelijk en correct. Maar het eten is saai en smakeloos. Ik had de bami Jasmin Garden, waar de kip, het rundvlees en de foe yong hai in een nagenoeg dezelfde, oranje saus zwemmen. Op zich wel te hachelen, maar alles smaakt hetzelfde. Had ook sterk het vermoeden dat alles uit de vriezer komt en in de magnetron opgewarmd is. De bami is echt smakeloos en saai. Jammer. Gaan volgende keer maar ergens anders heen.

as a group of 4 with Asian roots, we had ordered different dishes and were rather surprised by the food served. we were missing any similarity with Asian cuisine apart from the display. 5 treasures vegetables were directed by onions that must have been in offer, fried rice supplements were each drenched in a gravy without taste distinction ... overall very disappointing, especially when we consider the relatively high prices. We are sure not to patronize the restaurant again

Uitstekend eten, vlotte bediening. Aangename demping van het geluid, hierdoor is een gesprek goed mogelijk ondanks dat het druk is.
