This is how everyone’s day should start! Not gonna lie, I’m basically a regular at this point. Every morning starts here. “The Steak” sandwich is genuinely one of my favorite sandwiches in the world, and I don’t say that lightly. I keep trying to order something else and I just… can’t. Why would I? Drink order never changes either: iced vanilla latte, triple shot. The staff already know. Yeah it’s a lot of caffeine — that’s the point. Love them jitters. But real talk, what keeps me coming back is the people and the vibe. Good music, friendly faces, great energy. I somehow get more done after sitting here in a couple of hours and more coffee than I do the rest of the day. So being here is almost essential now 😂 If you’re around Plaats 17, just go. Steak sandwich, XXXtra strong coffee, booooooom

I had a really bad experience today. I ordered on delivery service avocado toast and the chocolate flex. When my delivery arrived at the restaurant the staff refused to make my order even though the store is still open in the app. While being on the phone with the staff kept arguing for 20 minuten that he did not want to do it until I proved him that the store is open on the app which I did. Then hé decided to make the sandwich and toast. The toast was not toasted and was recieved cold bread instead. The shake only contained a lot of ice and raw choclate without the banana and the other ingrediënts. I think this is beyond rude and I want to have my money back since my delivery cost was also very expensive. I will come by to the store tomorrow and hope to get my money back or a the same order for free

Matcha oat latte with vanilla is tasty. Cappuccino is fine, but I prefer it in a real cup rather than paper, otherwise you really taste the paper according to my girlfriend.

Came for the hype for the sandwiches, honestly soo not worth it. Very basic ones, the tunacado?? I wouldn’t bother coming for that, very bland. The steak one was better and more flavorful tho. Service was unprofessional as they didn’t even know what we were talking about and took a lot of time to reply and seemed annoyed. Totally understand if they had a bad day so i won’t judge the place based on that! The sandwiches came fast, but as i said not worth coming here for them, or if you do, get the steak!

I visited Joe & The Juice in The Hague on March 23, and I had such a lovely experience that I felt I had to share it. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted very kindly at the register with a big smile. The girl who helped me was incredibly sweet. I don’t know her name, but she really stood out. I wasn’t sure what to order, and she took the time to help me choose a drink, which I really appreciated. The food and drinks were amazing as always. My sandwich was super tasty, and the drink she recommended turned out to be absolutely delicious as well. At one point, I had my AirPods in, so I didn’t hear when my order was called. Instead of just leaving it there, another employee actually brought my sandwich and drink to me, which was such a thoughtful gesture. What really made my day, though, was at the end when I was leaving. She told me that my Hijab looked very beautiful on me. That was incredibly kind and genuinely made me so happy. I apologized for not hearing her earlier because of my AirPods, and she responded so warmly, saying it was no problem at all. Overall, it was such a positive and heartwarming experience. The service was outstanding, the food was great, and the kindness I received truly made my day. I’ll definitely be coming back! 🌷🪷🌸🎀

The woman with red hair behind the desk making the food, i have no idea how she got hired. The attitude you get when asking for something is something i have never experienced before and just outrageous, like rolling her eyes or sighing. The last time i noted that my power shake was to frozen and nothing like i usually get it. I got an annoyed and angry answer about how my experience is invalid and that i should just accept that they always use the same measurements. I used to be a regular customer, but because of her i won't be visiting anymore.

Really don’t know who runs this business, Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to visit the branches in person! I really like the concept It's really a shame that the quality is getting worse and worse over time! For this price for a sandwich really expert a better service, taste and quality…

the carrot cake is absolutely divine!! Matcha kinda mediocre but the avocado, peste and mozarella sandwich is AMAZING!! would definitely recommend for a quick breakfast. also, staff willing to help me when they accidentally charged me twice for what I ordered. In less than 3 days i got my money back

A blonde woman who doesn't speak Dutch doesn't even look at you when you ask for a napkin or a bag. Then we weren't even given a bag.

I asked for a bag to take with me, since my hands were already full. Apparently, that was a strange request for the blonde woman behind the counter, and I was rather irritated when given a bag, asking me to pack it myself. Even though the bags are usually prepared for delivery when a delivery driver comes by to pick up an order. Isn't that much trouble? With a €9 drink, you expect at least some service. Sure, if it were busy, I could understand it, but the worst part was that it was very quiet in the restaurant. If you get irritated by even a normal question, maybe you shouldn't work in hospitality.

I ordered through Uber Eats and just forgot my item and it was calculated, I want my money back for what I paid for and did not receive, avocado not ripe and never supplied napkins or straw

What a terrible place... takes ages... quality is okay, but nothing special... quite expensive. But the worst part... what arrogant staff. They work with such reluctance. They snap at your name when your juice is ready, but because there are five of them, you just have to ask which one... then they look at you like you're about to drop dead. What a disgrace... once, but never again... just go to the neighbors, they'll understand.

Fresh, healthy and tasty food and drinks. Guilt-free enjoyment. A nice variety is offered, and they also have an app you can use to order and pick up, and to collect points. Friendly staff, and located near Buitenhof in The Hague city center.

5pm on a Saturday. Staff was just talking with her friends (who just walked in, cut through the line and stood by the counter to chat) instead of taking orders even though there were 10+ people waiting in line for 5 minutes… and at one point she just kept on dropping f bombs when equipments weren’t working. The coffee was okay.

honestly the tunacado sandwich is very overrated (tuna + avocado is a questionable combination) it wasn’t bad tho. i asked for a flat white with oat milk but they served it with almond it was still 10/10

I have been a regular at joe, but today i came to the hague and i visited this branch, and i was so disappointed. The girls there were so so so rude. I was being nice yet they had horrible attitudes. I finished my coffee and wanted to get a refill (another order) i took my cup to the girl and ask to re-order, i was about to say my order but she said “well, i don’t know what you ordered earlier i wasnt the one who took your order”. I was shocked that i myself forgot the name of my order and it took me a while to remember. Anyways, when they finished the coffee, i came and saw it was in a take away cup. I told the same girl “excuse me i ordered it in a normal cup” and she gave attitude and said “well i wasn’t the one who made it”…. This answer doesn’t really make sense cause it’s not a blaming game. You’re all a team, you could simply just take the cup and re inform the person who made it. Was planning to stay there for 2 weeks and eat from joe everyday, but definitely not going there again. I really don’t get this attitude. It’s too early for this.

The food and service were excellent. The ambiance was generally good, but suffered greatly from a lack of cleanliness.

A Powershake You'll Never Forget At Joe & The Juice, you truly taste the quality. I had the Powershake, and seriously – I still can't get the taste out of my head. Ultra-delicious, fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Without a doubt, the best shake I've ever had. 10/10! The Tunacado sandwich was also top-notch: crispy grilled bread, generously filled with flavorful tuna and avocado. Simple, but just right – fresh and well-seasoned. What I also liked: the atmosphere is modern and relaxed. You can tell that everything is well-organized, from the open kitchen to the fast service. The price is a bit higher than average, and that's true. For the same amount, you could probably eat twice elsewhere. But here, you get fresh ingredients, care, and flavor in return. If you choose quality over quantity, it's more than worth it. In short: I'll definitely be back – if only for that shake. Highly recommended!

Review: Visit on July 21, 2025, at 6:45 PM | JOE & THE JUICE, The Hague, Plaats 17 Yesterday, my sister and I went to The Hague for a day trip. Since we're from Belgium and JOE & THE JUICE isn't anywhere near us, we were very curious to finally give it a try. Unfortunately, this first visit turned out to be a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, we were helped at the counter by a staff member who clearly wasn't interested in speaking to us kindly. She came across as downright rude and even arrogant. When we tried to order, she said with a disinterested air, "Yes, order then," as if we were bothering her. She also remarked that they were "closing in 5 minutes," even though it was still 10 minutes before closing time. The customers before us were also rushed; they were pressured to order quickly because the restaurant was supposedly closing any minute. The atmosphere felt unpleasant and rushed, which is anything but welcoming. Despite everything, we decided to order a Tunaçado and a Matcha. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was also disappointing. The Tunaçado was burnt and incredibly salty. After just two bites, we had to throw it away. A real shame, especially considering the price and our initial enthusiasm. We had really hoped for a pleasant experience, but the opposite turned out to be true. It's a shame that one employee can leave such a negative impression, especially with customers who come from abroad specifically to experience your concept. JOE & THE JUICE should really pay more attention to who they hire and how their staff interacts with customers. Customer service and product quality should be priorities, but unfortunately, both were completely lacking during our visit.

I went to order a drink and tried to explain what I wanted, since I'd never ordered one before (a friend had gotten the same drink for me once). Before I could even finish, I was rudely interrupted and looked at strangely by a blonde girl working the counter. As if I was asking her for something completely out of the ordinary. It was just a drink they sell themselves? When you work in hospitality, a little customer service is the bare minimum. Her attitude and tone were so unpleasant. The drink itself was fine and the atmosphere was mediocre, but because of that particular girl's attitude, I won't be returning anytime soon.

On a hot Friday, I ordered two smoothies for almost €10 each. One smoothie was still warm, and I mentioned it to the blonde woman making them. It was busy and she was stressed about taking orders, so I waited patiently. Then I politely asked if she could put a few ice cubes in it, since the smoothie was warm. With a grumpy expression, she said there was already ice in it. Apparently not enough, and I asked if she could put a few loose ice cubes in my cup. Huffing and puffing, I finally got two ice cubes. Wow, that was so difficult and too much to ask. Then she didn't even have the decency to return the cup properly. If you can't handle the pressure of orders, it might be better to stay home or do something else. A course in "respectful customer service" wouldn't hurt. Hopefully, the owner can arrange this for her, and she'll enjoy her job again. I used to come here weekly, but I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

I asked for blueberry matcha I just got normal matcha

Sounds like a building site. Staff are just screaming, shouting, laughing super loud, slamming every box and piece of equipment down on the desk, on the floor, on the bar. Can’t concentrate at all. But they’re quick! Drink was quite naff, not worth 1/8th its price. Had a fresher juice from AH.

Came in at 18:10 for a matcha, I wait 10 minutes place is empty two girls working there completely ignore me. I go up to ask if they’re still taking orders, she gives a nasty attitude that they’re understaffed but she will make one anyway. I ordered a blueberry matcha. I got a cup of milk with blueberry syrup. Barely any matcha to see in the drink…. Never had a matcha this bad.

Horrible service !!! The blonde girl makes sandwiches and eats the food she puts in the sandwich . I ordered an ice matcha , they made me just milk and some matcha color , there was no matcha taste at all , the guy refused to change the drink for me . I don't recommend this place to anyone

Woww the drinks are amazing! And even though it was busy we didn't had to wait a long time to get our drinks and the staffs are very friendly and inside they had AC on which is very cooling after a hot day.

Delicious. Always have delivery, recently went for the first time and I liked it. It was a bit busy, loud music and long line, but it was worth it. I always get a club joe sandwich and the carrot cake is my absolute fav!

We asked for a special drink moccaccino which was not on the menu. The guy was super kind and made one with our description. Very delicious as well. Worth a visit for coffee and food :)

I ordered a tunacado sandwich, firstly there was almost no avocado again, the second time I had to experience this when ordering from you. And as if it couldn't get any worse, there was a piece of meat in my sandwich🤢 nauseating, I don't eat meat myself. And I just had to spit it out. No more Joe and the Juice for me, all I can think about is how dirty your work place is that there has to be a piece of meat in my sandwich. Really too disgusting

I really wanted to like this place more and give it more stars, and I might update my rating in the future. To start off, I've been a regular customer and have reached pink status. The coffee has always been excellent, but in the past few months, I've been coming primarily for the açaí bowls. Initially, they were fantastic—large portions and creamy açaí. However, recently, the portions have become very small, and the açaí is often served in large frozen chunks, whether dining in or taking away. I've attempted to address these issues by emailing and contacting the store through the app, but unfortunately, I've never received a response. Another place, Oakberry, has opened nearby, offering large portions and unlimited toppings for almost the same price. I didn't want to switch, but the decline in quality and lack of customer service are leaving me with no choice. I hope you address these concerns and take into account the feedback from loyal customers.

Hello, I just had a cappuccino there today and sat right at the back. Four people were working behind the counter, but I experienced the way they were casually speaking to each other as unprofessional. Lots of swearing and one sharing how much she had to drink and how hungover she was. Maybe this is how younger people speak and there were mostly younger people in there. No background music to cover it up either. Sadly not for me……

The latte was good! Vanilla matcha oat is killer! The delicious iron man! The carrot cake and muffins did the job! In addition, the waitress took great care! She was quick even though she was alone! We were very well received as a family! 🥰❤️
