Delicious coffee, delicious cookies, and very welcoming. Highly recommended for a good, tasty cappuccino!

The cafe is cute and cozy. I will definitely visit it again. I enjoyed my pour-over coffee ( one of the best I tried in Leiden). The barista is friendly and knowledgeable. The triple chocolate cookie was great, slightly crunchy on the outside and softer on the inside.

Delicious coffee, relaxed atmosphere

Daaf & Man is our favorite Leiden cafe! Daavi serves up all sorts of delicious drinks whether it be any variety of hot or cold coffee plus a number other specialty teas and lemonades. Their location is the perfect spot to relax on the canal. You'd be smart to try some of their tostis, and delicious home made cakes and cookies. I always look forward to my visits to the cafe as a rewarding break from my work at home routine.

Cosy, small and so nice. A place for relaxation, enjoyment and personal attention. I took a moment for myself with a visit to 'by daaf&maan'. That was a good choice. Had a delicious 'drinking chocolate' and the cake of the week was very good. The goodies are made in-house and you can taste it. Drinks are prepared with attention, just like the contact with customers. That is really friendly and sincere and you immediately feel at home. An asset to Leiden... you want to be here!

Wonderful new spot! Whilst Leiden has many coffee places that claim to be this good, very few of them actually get to that 10 out of 10 point where they make it all so good, you just have to come back. It's a nice place with great bites, and their crew know exactly what they're doing when they select their beans to make sure you get the perfect bean for your type of coffee. Add this to the cosy atmosphere, on that cute spot on the corner that the sun can hit so well, and you have an awesome find for everyone that's looking for a hidden gem in the middle of the city. Go here and treat yourself to something amazing.

Café is newly opened after previous one was closed. They serve nice coffee and matcha, place is cozy, calm and stuff is really friendly ☺️ I like that they put high window tables with chairs, so despite place being small, there still can fit around 5-8 people inside

Just visited the renovated tent. It looks great after the renovation, the owners are extremely friendly and have a nice and varied drinks menu. Great coffee and the sandwich was delicious! 100% recommended

This is a small coffee bar where I sometimes get a cappuccino on the go during lunch. The owner is a cheerful young woman who makes delicious coffee and homemade cake and creates a cozy atmosphere. Inside there is 1 table and a few chairs. Absolutely cozy. Definitely recommended.

This authentic place is highly recommended! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner and the team. I ate the tastiest vegetarian burger ever! The ingredients are fresh. Cozy cafe with friendly employees. The dirty chai and cakes are really great!

I sat down near this cafe, a worker came out and asked me to leave the seat. The photo was taken 15 minutes later. No one sat down there. It is surprising that you consider this to be the norm. We sat next to each other and no one commented. especially since we did not sit inside. It is a pity that you have such a policy of the institution.

Despite being a rather confined space, it exudes a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The service, while commendable, could benefit from improved efficiency. The burritos were exceptional, boasting a rich tapestry of flavors and an abundance of fresh ingredients. Their generous size ensured a satisfying meal that left me feeling pleasantly full.

Super cute little place right on the corner of one of the busier places in Leiden. Nice place to sit down and watch the hustle and bustle of the market outside. Burger was excellent and only 8 euros, burrito was great as well. We had a short chat with the owner who gave us some tips about fun things to do in Leiden. Highly recommended!

Recently opened place by a really friendly owner. Great decor and a nice location. The breakfast burrito gets a 5/5 stars, but my personal favorite is the smash burger. The owner recommended the Moscow ginger beer which was excellent. It's my new favorite coffee shop!

Kaffee Metzke in Leiden is zo’n klein juweeltje dat je opnieuw doet waarderen hoe een klein bedrijfje zo’n prachtige ervaring kan bieden. Met beperkte middelen weten ze een sfeervolle, huiselijke omgeving te creëren waar je je meteen welkom voelt. Een hoogtepunt is de koffie. Het kopje werd met toewijding gezet, met bonen waar blijkbaar een mooi verhaal achter zit. ツ Charlotte, succes met het najagen van je droom het is je gegund!

New Café in the city center of Leiden run by a lovely lady who is trying to realize her dreams! This place is the definition of quaint, it's beautifully decorated and with the music and ambience really creates a great vibe. The food and coffee are both really nice. Can highly recommend trying the smash burger & her delicious self-made pastries (which change every week). The owner is so friendly and always down for a chat, she only started 7 weeks ago and I really hope she is here to stay. I will definitely come back for more and encourage anyone to help this and other local businesses!

Great place for a quick lunch. A small place with a small menu that includes vegan choices. The cake of the week is always delicious,. Really friendly owner. The location, at the edge of the market makes it a great place for people watching but also busy on a Saturday.
