Kaihua in Wijk 17 Stad van de Zon

Two years ago, my boyfriend and I discovered the Chinese food here and were immediately enthusiastic. From then on, we ordered almost every month. We were especially big fans of the Fueyonghai and fried banana. It always tasted good and was delivered quickly. In the past month, I had tried ordering online a few times, but the restaurant kept refusing to accept orders. Until recently, we had the food delivered, but since that wasn't an option (anymore), I decided to pick it up myself. In the restaurant itself, I noticed there were flies flying around, which I didn't find very appetizing, but I didn't want to worry about it. That is, until I found a similar fly dead in my rice at home. Aside from the fact that this significantly reduced my appetite, the food tasted practically awful: the only thing I could taste was pickle. The fried banana was mealy and had a bitter flavor. What a disappointment, after so many positive experiences! The food, which we normally enjoy for two days, has now gone straight into the trash. If this had been my first order, it would also have been my last. It was just as good for us the last time. Such a shame.

I thought I'd order some nice Chinese food today, but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The satay was almost cold, with a strange lemony flavour that was overpowering... yuck, and the accompanying Nasi wasn't warm either, what a disappointment. The Babi Pangang was okay, but I'm done with it for now, no more Kaihua, the food is getting worse and worse... and more expensive, but I do want quality for my money.

Recently had Chinese takeout from Kaihua in Heerhugowaard. We had, among other things, foe yong hai, babi pangang, nasi goreng, bami goreng, and satay. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Overall, the dishes lacked flavor and were rather bland. The nasi goreng barely had the characteristic nasi flavor and was more reminiscent of plain white rice with a bit of leek. It was also sticky instead of nicely dry, as you might expect. The bami goreng was also bland. The babi pangang was not tender and had very little sauce, which made it rather dry. The foe yong hai was somewhat more flavorful and had more sauce, but here too, I felt the flavor lacked depth. Comparing this restaurant to several Chinese restaurants in North Brabant where I've had good experiences, Kaihua is clearly of lower quality. I must say, however, that the restaurant looked well-maintained and the staff were friendly. I cannot comment on the snack bar that is also located here and the other Chinese dishes.

Always friendly, patient, and helpful. The food is always well-prepared, and there's plenty of variety too.

The food is very good, Chinese and also a snack bar. It is also very easy to park nearby. You can also easily walk from the rest of the city of the sun.

Ordered on Thursday evening, after more than 45 minutes, nothing, not even a phone call. I called myself and was told it was due to the bad weather hahahah there was nothing wrong, it was dry, no wind and no frost or snow. Came up with the option to cancel because I was done with it. Unfortunately, this has happened before and has always been given a new chance, but we will stop that now, no longer for us. Got the money back the next day because I don't want to wait a week for a refund.

I was craving coffee... so I ended up here... I ordered a wantan soup... (filled dough parcels in tasty broth)... this was deliciously filled... (prawn crackers from the company) 😍... I enjoyed the friendly hospitality of this business... I can definitely recommend this business and will definitely come back here... until next time...

Chinese food as you are used to. Super fast, hot and deliciously seasoned. A recurring address for us.

We have been getting Chinese here for years and sometimes we eat on site. Yesterday I picked up a Kaihu menu for 2 people to take home. A truly delicious meal. It was more than enough. In the photo half of the menu is on the plates. And the quality was also good, as always, with fresh vegetables. The wait time on Saturday just before 6 p.m. was normal. We like to drive from Alkmaar to get Chinese here.

They no longer deliver to Butterhuizen. They don't have an email address to send something to and ask why not. But the stupidest thing is that they no longer deliver to butter houses. Crazy. Different Chinese from now on. Very unfortunate, but if it is no longer possible, then it is not possible

Ordered, food was disgusting. Spring roll was a dirty, greasy, collapsed piece of dough with a bit of bean sprouts and I fished out a few hairs that were not ours. It was so greasy that the cardboard was soaked. Seemed like it had been fried several times. The noodles were cold and had a nasty, greasy taste and let's not even start about the filling... again extremely poor. The gado gado was also not food and the babi pangang was way too chewy. The satay was dry and bland. Everything is in the container, NEVER again. You might as well go to Aldi and get a bowl of ready-made food that tastes a lot better. Stomach ache after eating. Compliments to the delivery person, very friendly!

Called specifically to ask if we could pick up at six o'clock. That was no problem. At six o'clock in the shop they still had to prepare the entire trade... had to wait about 20 minutes

Always fresh, tasty and on time delivery! You can easily eat it chilled on the 3rd day because what you get is really enough. That's because everything is made fresh. Super friendly staff. Recommended for takeaway and delivery!

Het eten is prima alleen moet je niet per thuisbezorgd bestellen dan loop je kans dat het nooit aankomt. Dus gewoon met de zaak bellen!.

Vriendelijk personeel. Zowel cafetaria als Chinees eten. Eten is lekker en betaalbaar. Bezorging is ook snel.

Superlekker chinees eten, de beste in heerhugowaard, de kipsate is supermals en sappig .. de loempias zijn ook erg lekker.. wij gaan hier vaker halen

Het is een leuke family snackbar, je kunt hier veel soorten snacks bestellen, leuke en vriendelijke personeel en heel bijzonder is dat je hier ook chinese gerechten kunt bestellen en hier ook eten en laten bezorgen. Een multi snackbar, zeker een aanrader!

De lekkerste Chinese tomaten soep van Heerhugowaard

Je besteld ruim 1.5 uur van te voren en geeft en bezorgtijd aan. Ze bezorgen niet netjes op die tijd maar een uur later pas. Als je belt wordt er brood nuchter gezegd kunnen we niks aan doen, en wordt de telefoon er gewoon opgelegd. Eten was ook niet warm.

Ben een trouwe klant geworden van Kaihua! Goed chinees eten, en snel bezorgd.

Weet alleen van de snackbar er is ook Chinees. keurige tent vriendelijk personeel en de eten was lekker. Ik ga wel een keer langs om Chinees te eten.

We ordered some meals to take away, but they also allowed us to eat in the restaurant. Bami and Nasi are tasty, so is the cha sieuw. Staffs are very friendly.

Heerlijk gegeten. Nergens zulke lekkere loempia's gegeten. Lekker krokant, niet vet en perfect gevuld. Bijzonder lekker!!

Goede chinees,vooral de chinese bami een aanrader, met lekker veel verse groenten. Vergeten wel meestal sambal mee te leveren.

Kwaliteit was mijder dan normaal. Kip kerrie was prima, bami gewoon, witte rijst dit maal zeer droog, babi pangang was ook droog en stug en de loempias waren niet gaar/klef. Daarnaast was het niet warm. We bestellen vaker maar dit was een Tegenvaller!!!

Goede Chinees! Alles lekker vers bereid en grote porties! Was wel ff zoeken want kaihua zit in de "Family" snackbar!

Heerlijk voedsel! Wij bestellen er altijd (onze Chinees) en moet zeggen zeer snelle bezorging. Eten gloeiend heet en netjes verpakt. Vers voedsel 👍🏽

Hier al meerdere malen eten gehaald, het eten is goed van smaak en de mensen die er werken erg vriendelijk.

Meerdere keren nu iets besteld maar steeds was alles super lekker, snel en warm geleverd! De loempia's zijn wel onze favoriet.

Food looked nice, but it is completely overcooked. Taste is "eatable", but you can't call it "Chinese food", it's regular stew. We order two different dishes "Tjang Pao Kai" and "Yu Xian Kai" and what we get? To dishes were totally same. Chicken inside was boiled, not fried. Vegetables sprinkled. Sad, really sad.

Vandaag voor de 3e keer besteld bij Kaihua. Heerlijk eten en de bezorging is snel en een vriendelijke bezorger!

Om 18:30uur eten besteld, afgesproken dat het om 19:15uur klaar zou staan en kon halen, vervolgens moeten wachten tot 20:15uur. Eten was OK, maar had geen trek meer. Kom hier nooit meer !!!!

In de zaak 1 maandmenu besteld. Je verwacht dat een maandmenu binnen een kwartier klaar is. Maar na ruim 5 kwartier (!!!!) wachten, was de bestelling pas gereed!

Voor ca 12 personen besteld, maar na bijna 1,5 uur !! wachten en diverse telefoontjes later werd er eindelijk bezorgd. De smaak was redelijk goed te doen alleen de ossenhaas was niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Daarnaast werden er maar 13 ipv de bestelde 20 miniloempiatjes gebracht en ook de bestelde kroepoek is nooit aangekomen. Oftewel alles goed controleren...

Bestelling op zondag avond, ruim 100 minuten moeten wachten op bezorging. Bami was prima, net als de sate. Warm niet heel vet. Eten was lekker
