This morning we had breakfast at our favorite coffee shop in Katwijk. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious pancakes and avocado toast! Everything was perfect: the taste, the service, and the location! Kudos!

We discovered it by chance last year; it's a lovely place, with friendly service, and we've been back a few times this year. For lunch, I had ancient bread with tuna salad, and another time, I had three soles with vegetables and deliciously seasoned fries. Everything was deliciously prepared. The chef is also excellent!

We always get a soft ice cream here at the hatch when we go home. Today I sent the girls myself. First he forgot the sprinkles, then he went to put them on anyway and then the cone broke off. So this man thought it was a good idea to give a child a soft ice cream in a broken cone at 30 degrees. We were here for the second time today and we're thrilled. The service is really friendly, and the avocado toast is amazing! Definitely try it if you're there for breakfast. Oh, and the view isn't to be sniffed at either 😎

Nice place, only baking kibbeling they apparently like too much. Ours was fried at least 3-4 times, reheated, breaded dark brown and there wasn't much fish left between the dough. Too bad, it's nicely situated!

What a great place at the end of the Katwijk Boulevard ..the atmosphere is super relaxed, service was top and the food was delicious. I had 3 sole with freshly prepared vegetables and delicious fries. Price quality is fine. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

We went here twice during our stay in Katwijk: for dinner we had a very tasty salmon as the catch of the day - the price was totally right. What a wonderful tent this is. Warm customer-friendly atmosphere and unique dog-friendly approach. Rarely have I experienced that dogs are so welcome, that dogs are made to feel so comfortable, not least because of the dog biscuits. Funny that this sweet attitude exists among all the staff. In addition, excellent food and wines. Spicy chicken as a lunch dish is highly recommended! That's why we regularly stop here after a walk on the beach with the doggies.

Went by again today and this time had a delicious lunch "inside". What a nice place it is with wonderful and hospitable staff. You really feel welcome here. The dishes taste fantastic and the prices are reasonable. You can make reservations here, even for larger groups. Remember the parking meter because Katwijk charges money for it...even on Sundays.😉

Shame about the name of course, it really falls in the wrong direction...it has absolutely no charisma or zest. And without that, of course, there is no expectation or promise so that before you even realize it, you have cycled past it. There is also such a spot at the Wassenaarse slag. That establishment previously bore the appealing name 'St Moritz by the sea' because it is located on top of the highest dune. People still talk about that place with that name in the wider area. However, the new owners changed the name and immediately gave away part of their turnover. Their creativity was just as limited as the 'Katukkers' (or 'Ketukkers' or whatever) and they called their new business 'De Badmeester'.... 'How stupid can you be when you start something new?', That's what I wondered when I heard about it. You immediately put yourself at a disadvantage because an ego believes that in your specific case it must be absolutely visible that you are running things there. Or messed up, of course... Actually, a newly invented name can give you some idea of ​​what the new owners themselves have in store for the guest. The fact that these two 'beach bars' get away with these mistakes is due to two things: firstly, you cannot see exactly from the new lower turnover figures to what extent this is due to brand awareness and secondly: both businesses are uniquely positioned so that mistakes once made are simply are difficult to detect because in both cases there is no strong, comparable competitor in the immediate vicinity and therefore there is actually 'nothing to choose' and as you probably know: when you are hungry or thirsty it ultimately doesn't matter anymore from where you 'shove' something or what you ultimately 'inside'. Once you have forgotten that terrible name after entering, it is a reasonable place to be, especially when the sun is shining, despite the fact that it all looks a bit 'overflowing'. It is not a nice, quiet spot for 'a moment by the sea'. The prices are reasonable, so don't let that stop you. And finally the service; it could be friendlier, but it is not disturbingly bad.

This is a great location at the end of the South Boulevard for a rest stop halfway through my bike ride and a latte. The many cyclists are also an indication. The latte was good and the (for me) young staff attentive and friendly. Is a keeper for a coffee + It has been a regular coffee address for a few years now while cycling around (E). Often outside and sometimes inside.

Leuke zaak om te eten met volwassenen. Ga hier niet met kleine kinderen heen. Helaas geen verschonings ruimte aanwezig heel slecht is toch wel een must. Ook geen speelhoek of iets (hoeft natuurlijk niet altijd). 1 kinderstoel voor de gehele zaak dus als deze bezet is heb je pech. Geen menu kaart voor kleine kinderen een croisantje van het ontbijt menu kon ook niet worden besteld voor de lunch. Een alternatief zoals wit broodje met iets simpels aan beleg was ook niet mogelijk, alleen een grote bak frietjes. Beetje jammer.

Op mooie zaterdagse stranddag gevraagd of er nog een tafel voor 8 was. Bovenverwachting werd die samengesteld en kreeg het gezelschap een mooi einde van de dag van een even mooie dag. Het eten paste bij deze dag waarsoor het gezelschap tevreden afscheid van elkaar nam en terugkeek op een bezoek bij een leuk restaurant.

We visited Kattukkerzandt for dinner. Without a reservation we got a table for four people, even though the place was quite full. The service was a bit inattentive and slow. We had to wait twenty minutes before we were allowed to order food after receiving the drinks. As elsewhere, the prices for non-alcoholic drinks are too high. The food was delicious and nicely prepared (burger with a thick, delicious pattie, fresh kibbeling and tuna steak). In terms of price, in contrast to the more expensive beach restaurants on the sand in the immediate vicinity, it was a little cheaper - four people €100, okay for what was on offer. We can recommend the Kattukkerzandt restaurant, but we don't get full marks due to the below-average service.

We stopped here today during a hike 🤩 Menne had the roll with crab salad for around €15 and I had dark bread with carpaccio for around €15, both incredibly tasty and you sit right by the sea, slightly elevated and have a wonderful view of everything. Service was very friendly and, as always in the Netherlands, they spoke perfect English!
