KFC in Wijk 35 Woonboulevard-Ten Esschen

Standard KFC, but unfortunately we had to wait an hour for our food. For me, that's no longer a fast-food restaurant with such a long wait. Last time at KFC Heerlen.

No idea what the food is like, but the waiting time is simply a nightmare. It was busy, but the staff works so agonizingly slowly!!! They stroll up and down at their own leisurely pace, take 2 minutes to get new napkins, and I don't think they know what work is. Terrible; even I, without experience, could have gathered orders faster than this entire team put together. How on earth can you work so ridiculously poorly with so many bad reviews? There is definitely something wrong with the management here. In short, don't eat here and go to a Burger King or McDonald's, because things move a lot faster there and they are even friendlier. Scandalous!

What a terrible experience… if you enjoy waiting forever for your food and want to be treated to a hefty dose of unfriendliness in the meantime. 🙃 We had to wait an absurdly long time for our order. The staff's pace was apparently somewhere between a "snail's pace" and "we'll see when we feel like it." You almost start to admire how long it can take to prepare an order. And then the customer friendliness… that apparently got lost somewhere along with the speed. Being a little friendly to customers turned out to be clearly too much to ask. As if all that wasn't enough, the place was also anything but clean. Tables, toilets, and the surroundings didn't exactly look like hygiene is high on the priority list here. Not exactly the most appetizing environment to eat your food in. 🍗🙄 In short: long waits, agonizingly slow staff, unfriendly service, and a place that is anything but clean. If this is the standard, then they have at least convinced us: we are never coming back here. Maybe they should change the slogan to: “Finger lickin’ good… at least if you ever get your food and your table is clean.” 😂

Bad experience! Extremely slow, dirty, and cold food again This is now the second time in a row that things have gone completely wrong at KFC Heerlen. The waiting times are no longer normal: we had to wait up to 35 minutes for a simple order. When the food is finally ready after such a long time, you expect it to be at least hot and fresh, but it was simply cold. In addition, the place looks absolutely not tidy. The store is dirty and there is rubbish everywhere on the tables and on the floor. The management has the processes and hygiene completely out of order. They won't see me back here again.

We received a burger with raw meat on it. When we complained, they just laughed at us. We did eventually get a new burger.

Today I waited 41 minutes before my order finally arrived at the drive-in. An incredibly unfriendly woman on the intercom; I then asked how long it would take. I was told 4 minutes. That turned into another 15. Unbelievable; if it were extremely busy inside as well, that would be fine, but there were roughly 10 cars in the parking lot. Bad publicity for KFC!

The food was the worst I've ever had. It's nothing like what I expect from KFC. The restaurant is absolutely filthy. The tables aren't cleaned. The floor is littered. The staff doesn't care. The men's toilets were clogged, so everything was overflowing. In the women's restroom, one stall was locked, and the other was also filthy. Never again.

Basically 0 but yeah, I'm there now and have been for an hour already very unhygienic and staff not neat or friendly not recommended x

We ordered our food today at 3:50 PM. We received our cold food at 4:27 PM. How is it possible to receive cold tenders after such a long wait? Furthermore, it was very dirty. 0 stars!

There was so much junk food and other stuff on the floor and tables that I really wonder if anyone cleans here at all. The staff is also completely uninterested. Just too disgusting to eat inside.

The atmosphere is fun for kids, but the tables, toilets, etc. are very dirty. I recommend everyone bring their own hand sanitizer. The staff should really focus on friendliness and hygiene for a change... the food is okay!

Since we were at Ikea anyway, we decided to eat at KFC with the whole family. The restaurant is a filthy place; everything is sticky and it smells terrible. And the toilet is even dirtier. KFC management needs to do something about this as soon as possible. The food is tasty and the cashier is helpful and friendly. The only problem is that it is not clean.

At the front, where the orders are being prepared, 5 people are standing waiting for the slips to be processed. What was particularly annoying was that we needed the accessible restroom for a family member. However, it had been locked for about an hour and was therefore unusable. For people who rely on this type of restroom, this is simply unacceptable. Although there were only about 14 to 16 other guests in the restaurant, and they had already been served, we had to wait around 30 minutes for our food. When it was finally served, it was partially lukewarm and seemed carelessly prepared. You order a milkshake with a returnable cup (for which you pay extra), and what do you get? A regular disposable cup for which you also pay 50 cents. That's when the rather simple-looking staff, who are also incredibly slow, snapped. It took 10 minutes to make him understand that they could also just give the deposit back. They surely aren't all that simple, but the one we had, man oh man.

There's always a special offer or deal. Usually done quickly. Quiet in the morning until 12, then incredibly busy after that, I don't like that.

The food is okay. The music playing makes it look like a shisha bar. So that stereotype holds true again.

Drive thru was fast and the service came with a smile

I came with my friend, and we ordered the same thing at the same time. I even ordered a few minutes before her, but she got her order faster than me. I waited for 40 minutes and still didn’t get mine. When I went to the cashier and said that I had been waiting for my food for 40 minutes, the woman said something rude to me in another language and didn’t even apologize.

It's understandable that something might get lost during a shift change or when things get busy. A friend ordered her food 20 minutes before me because the kiosk canceled my order. She didn't get her food until 30 minutes after I did. We both ordered takeout. Not a good sign for a fast-food company.

I've been really disappointed lately with the variety in the bucket; it has changed drastically, it's not what it used to be, a big disappointment. Regards, Henk

1 star is actually still too much. What a disaster at KFC Heerlen. We have been waiting for our food for almost an hour now, even though this is supposed to be a fast-food restaurant. In the meantime, the restaurant is one big mess: tables full of trash, trays that aren't cleared anywhere, overflowing trash cans, and a toilet that looks filthy. It seems like no one cares about hygiene or the customers. If you can't handle the crowds, ensure you have enough staff or better organization. This is truly unacceptable. I won't be coming back here anytime soon. Deeply disappointed. ⭐☆☆☆☆

Very dirty Grease stains everywhere on the seats, crumbs and dust in the corners, used napkins lying around, the large window to the play area is completely filthy... One doesn't even want to think about what the kitchen looks like.

Nice place and nice people. I went again, but the atmosphere hasn't improved; the music is way too loud, and African music plays all the time. I left quickly.

Untidy utility. They don’t pay enough attention to clean up tables and chairs. They are always greasy and with lots of mess everywhere.

Unfortunately, this was by far the dirtiest fast-food restaurant I've ever visited. The floor and tables were sticky, the benches were covered in crumbs and grease, the windows were so disgusting they clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages, there was trash and food scraps everywhere, and the children's play area was so revolting and unacceptable that it completely ruined our appetites. There were greasy fingerprints and unidentifiable splashes all over the windows; I think children had been spitting on them. And that wasn't all we experienced that day, as we were there right at opening time. The TV hanging from the ceiling was broken and looked filthy. There was no music playing; the only noise, which was incredibly annoying and audible every minute, was the squeaky swing door behind the counter. The air conditioning was either off or set too low, because it was very hot inside, as it was also very hot outside. The staff was incredibly slow and seemed very grumpy. As for the food, I have nothing negative to say; it was all fresh and tasted exactly as it should at KFC. We won't be visiting this place again; unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment.

After 45 minutes, our order hadn't even started. The employee I spoke to ignored my inquiry. At least the manager quickly refunded my money. On an 8-hour drive, we wasted a whole hour only to end up still hungry and furious in the car. I didn't hear an apology, by the way.

The staff were unfriendly and sat behind the counter whining that they didn't feel like working and wanted to go home quickly... (Well, isn't that just great to hear as a customer? It immediately sets a certain atmosphere). Additionally, food was thrown on my table with a dejected look on their faces... as if they were working against their will. Furthermore, the cleaning could really be better; the floor was just sticky, and they really need to replace the furniture too – sofas taped together with duct tape and parts missing. On top of that, the toilets were terribly dirty and there wasn't a fully enclosed toilet due to privacy concerns... I didn't find it a pleasant experience. The food was tasty though... but that's the only good thing... Work on it, KFC Heerlen, come on!!

I recently ate at KFC Heerlen and was pleasantly surprised 🍗. The chicken was deliciously crispy and well-seasoned, just as you would expect from KFC. The burgers and fries were also hot and flavorful. The staff remained friendly despite the crowds, and the order was processed quickly. The restaurant itself looked neat, and there was plenty of room to sit quietly. Furthermore, the location is easily accessible with ample parking nearby. Of course, it can be a bit busier during peak hours, but overall, the experience was simply very good. It is certainly a nice place if you are in the mood for a quick, tasty meal. I will definitely be back here again 😄

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Unfortunately, the self-service kiosks are very cumbersome to use. Those of the competition are much easier to operate.

The staff are rude, not interested, its like talking to a brick wall. Food is okay if its hot when you get it. 50 minutes wait for chips as everything else sat for 25 minutes 🤦‍♀️

Dynamic young people with no experience but with timely food and prompt service

The food tastes as you would expect from a KFC. The service was terrible; much of my order was incorrect, they forgot to add items, and they gave me the wrong bun (I ordered an original but got the spicy one). I also had to wait an incredibly long time (+20 min) before I even received my order, even though there were literally only 4 other customers inside. The person behind the counter was also very unfriendly and even came across as somewhat aggressive. Although someone was eventually cleaning, the restaurant was also quite filthy inside. Lots of food scraps on the floor, tables hadn't been cleaned, and trash was everywhere.

There were still feathers on my wings. Furthermore, a cheeseburger should be a fully covered bun, and not a tiny piece of chicken with virtually no sauce.

I came from Maastricht for the first time today, but was greeted by a completely disrespectful and unfriendly employee who had no idea what respect entailed or how to treat a customer. She spoke in a mocking and tactless manner. The rest of the staff was nice, but this employee clearly hadn't learned what respect meant or how to speak politely to a customer. I demand that the KFC branch manager addresses this situation, as it is scandalous and damaging to the restaurant's reputation. The food, however, was very tasty.

Super unfriendly, grumpy, no thank you when I handed over the money, no nice day, no smile, NOTHING. Just suicidal, I am definitely never coming here again !!!

The staff taking orders speak and understand Dutch poorly. The seating areas are dirty, and you will have to ask them to clean the tables before you sit down. Ordering via the displays is complicated and sometimes doesn't work. I saw people having trouble ordering. I ordered at the counter. You got very few fries, and the chicken was lukewarm.

Eaten there at a quiet moment early in the afternoon, but by then everything was already dirty: dirty seating, very dirty toilets. The chicken bucket was very greasy. Not a top KFC.

A pleasant restaurant that definitely needs some work. But they're definitely making an effort. Sometimes it can take a while, but with the friendly staff, you'll have your food in minutes. It's always delicious.

The staff were rude and seemed totally overwhelmed. The worst part was that there was a dark, hairy, or fibrous structure in the chicken that definitely shouldn't be there. Finding something like that in your food is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. In addition, our order was incorrect and duplicated. We received items we hadn't ordered twice, while other items were missing. We had to piece together our own order from the counter because nothing was organized. I cannot recommend this location to anyone. Long wait times, cold food, hygiene issues, and unprofessional staff. Absolutely disappointing.
