Slowest KFC in all of the Netherlands. Had to wait literally 30 minutes for one kids meal. The staff is just waking around barely doing anything.

NOT NORMAL! VERY BAD SERVICE. just one order a kiddie menu for my son took 45 minutes!

Very disappointing experience at KFC Leeuwarden. The food is constantly delayed, and there always seem to be too few staff working, which results in extremely long waiting times. For a fast-food restaurant, the service is far too slow. Another big problem is that the upstairs seating area is not available for customers. This is especially frustrating for families with children. Kids come to KFC expecting to have a place where they can sit and play, but they are not allowed upstairs and everyone is forced to stay downstairs. When it gets busy, there is often not even a free table available. What makes it even worse is that the tables downstairs are often not clean. We regularly have to ask the staff to clean a table before we can even sit down, while customers are already struggling to find somewhere to sit. If the upstairs area is going to remain closed, there should at least be enough seating downstairs and the tables should be cleaned regularly. The restaurant also clearly needs more staff so orders can be prepared faster. The location has potential, but the service, cleanliness, seating situation and lack of staff seriously need improvement.

This was truly the worst fast food chain of the past 10 years for me. Cashiers kept chatting with colleagues while we, as customers, stood waiting in line. The same happened with customers after us. You can't pay by card at the checkout, but the touchscreens on the kiosks just work way too poorly.💀 The cheese was still cold and unmelted, and the bun was squashed and cold. Sorry KFC, but this location is a real, real disgrace.

The chicken and drinks were delicious, but the service was... they took a random group photo with everyone in the middle of the wait.

I just went to the drive-through; the people were nice and the food was good. But I just got home and realized they forgot my fries. That's a bit of a shame.

Firstly, the floor is very sticky and dirty, secondly, the machines are glitching, thirdly, you have to pick up your order yourself, and fifthly, there aren't even napkins.

The food was fine for fast food chicken. The service was poor. Too little staff. This resulted in long waiting times. Staff who barely spoke Dutch. Grumpy. The tables were dirty, and there was no staff to clean them up. Papers and food scraps were lying on the floor everywhere. Grimy. You had to pay to use the toilet. The food itself was fine for what you can expect from KFC.

The machines and screens for placing the order don't work and yet the screen doesn't work but the payment machine works poorly when I come to order I wait almost 40 minutes to pick up the order Being full of people working for this fast food. They walk and laugh but they sell when it comes to work. It's like they're from another planet, oh my god

Floor is sticky The toilet costs a euro and is incredibly disgusting. How they have the guts to pay money for that is bizarre. The food is, of course, the same story. Trash cans full, really gross!

It stank terribly in there, and after paying, we waited a whopping 45 minutes for our cheeseburger and milkshake—scandalous! The people behind the counter completely ignore the ever-growing group of dissatisfied customers. During busy periods, I fully understand that it might take longer, but this is busyness created by themselves, by doing everything in the kitchen except their jobs. I also find it ridiculous that you have to pay to use the toilet as a customer. The management here really needs to be looked at. When the food finally arrived, it looked fine, but appearances are deceiving: a half-covered and dry burger, to the point of being crispy. Prices were also too high, but that cannot be blamed on the staff. Not recommended. Do not go here!

If you want to wait a long time, come here. It is terrible; the people here work as if there aren't 15 people waiting. In the end, I had to give instructions myself on what they needed to do.

The ice cream maker has been broken for a week. With these summer temperatures, you would say that you would want such a machine repaired as soon as possible.

Super super super slow service, no table service, terribly uninterested staff who often don't even speak Dutch, and you have to pay a euro to use the toilet!!! Words fail me; I would give zero stars if I could. I will never come here again.

The manager is rude his new at this restaurant he must be polite but not i don't like the way he talks ant treat the costumers like me. He must change his attitude to much intittled. Goodluck

11:50 PM tried to score some nuggets from the McDrive. First, I had to wait 5 minutes before someone answered the microphone. "One moment please," to which I replied ".....ok." Another 5 minutes later, all the lights went out. I floored it around the corner, and three more employees came out whom I tried to explain myself to. Not a single one could speak Dutch or even a little English. I'll go to McDonald's from now on.

Don't go here! Upon entering, the dirty floor immediately stands out. Food scraps and trash were everywhere. After ordering at a kiosk (no one was present at the cash register), you receive a receipt with a number. This is announced in English and is visible in very small print on a small screen at the counter itself. After ordering, I saw that half the order was ready after 15 minutes. Apparently, they had forgotten the fries, so they still needed to be fried. You can see the staff strolling around. Hard work apparently doesn't exist here. The staff all look uninterested, and the lack of energy radiates from them. Everything takes a long time, and they radiate that, which several customers notice and discuss openly while waiting! Finally, after 25 minutes, the order was complete and served. By then, the burger and wrap were getting cold. Never ever come here again. The totality of speed (it is fast food, after all?), quality, and cleanliness of this establishment is appalling. Highly discouraged!

The staff's enthusiasm was nowhere to be found, nor was any speed. Even the manager walked around uninterested and didn't help out the employees either..... A simple order, one of those takeaway menus for a few euros...., all in all having to wait longer than fifteen minutes. There weren't that many orders.

Terrible KFC.... ordered 20 euros per person and then we also had to pay 1 euro per person for the toilet. I asked if this could be done differently, was just laughed at, and the staff said in broken Dutch, "Yes, I have to pay too." Seems unlikely, but anyway... I had already finished my food and the person I was with still needed theirs. After 30 minutes, I asked for a refund... actually, half the food had been sitting on the tray getting cold for 20 minutes over there behind their counter. By the way, one person was also standing there constantly looking at the order screen, but they weren't in a hurry. The whole building was packed with customers... we are never coming here again. This is the umpteenth time we've been served poorly and/or things have been forgotten.. We went to McDonald's instead.

What a terrible place, waiting 45 minutes for 2 buckets of chicken. It's a chicken restaurant, so why does it take 45 minutes? And only when we complained about it did they start taking our order. Immediately, someone walked to the back and filled 2 buckets with chicken within a minute. Don't go there, mega bad experience, I repeat, go eat somewhere else.

I had a very disappointing experience today. I stood at the counter for over 15 minutes to order, without anyone paying me any attention. Employees were constantly walking back and forth and were mainly busy packing orders. Eventually, out of frustration, I ordered via a self-service kiosk and paid by card. I then approached an older employee (a supervisor?), because I still had a question. He indicated that he would be right back with me, but he completely forgot. When I spoke to him about it again, he passed the buck to a young lady, remarking that she should help me. I didn't find that very professional. After that, it also took a very long time for my food to be ready. The entire organization comes across as chaotic. It seems as if everyone is just winging it and that the younger employees are not being supervised sufficiently. It is a shame, because with a bit more attention to the customers and better guidance for the staff, the experience would be much more pleasant.

If you want to eat something next year, you need to order now. They are super fast.

We drove through the drive-in. We were in the mood for KFC chicken. But our order wasn't taken. There was some mumbling in English. So we waited. After a long time, we were snapped at in English that we had to drive on to the next window. But we hadn't placed an order yet. I said to the first window anyway. What a rude person. And it just went on and on. There was another car waiting there too. Nothing was explained; you just had to place your order at the window, pay, and wait for the food. The car in front of us was also still waiting for the first contact to order. Not a single sign of life, and the line behind us was getting bigger and bigger. Well, then the choice is very easy for us. Suddenly there was a possibility to escape this misery. We drove away and ordered food somewhere else. We are never coming here again. How bad!! 1 star because otherwise the review won't be posted.

Have been there twice. Both times the food was just not that great. The last time I was there we had to wait half an hour for just a small order. Not recommended.

Horribleeeeee- this ain’t a restaurant waiting for an order more than 10 minutes is crazy. Atmosphere also dirty and horrible. And you have the audacity to charge the poor customers for the toilet. Every single time, you have to wait a super long time for your food. It is always dirty there and hardly anyone speaks Dutch. You also always have to wait a long time at the drive-thru to get served.

We had a kapsalon, but they forgot the chicken and it took way too long for it to be ready.

I wanted to pick up an order I had placed online; I arrived after fifteen minutes. My order was still being prepared—no problem, it was busy. I stood there waiting and waiting, and I saw my order change on the screen from “preparing” to “ready for take away.” I waited a moment for my order to be called out; after 5 minutes, still nothing. I then walked over to the counter: no one approached me, and they acted as if they didn't see me. If it weren't for an acquaintance of mine working there who happened to walk past after quite a while, allowing me to finally ask if I could have my order (which, by the way, I had seen sitting under the heat lamp for well over 10 minutes), I would still be standing there waiting. I understand perfectly well that it is busy and that you have to wait a bit, but hospitality and customer friendliness are nowhere to be found. It is a real shame, because the food was actually tasty.

You get better service and food at a street food stall in a slum in India. KFC should be utterly ashamed of this branch; for several years now, this has been the worst branch. Nothing is ever clean, and the staff are a bunch of unfriendly guys too. And when the food is finally ready after waiting for half an hour, even though it’s quiet, it’s practically cold.

What a bad KFC. The chicken is very dry because it's reheated in an oven, you have to pay extra for sauces... and the milkshake wasn't good either... next time back to McDonald's, much better than this...

Poor service with food that was cold after waiting for more than 30 minutes. There are 10 people in the kitchen, but only 1 person is actually working. If you can go eat somewhere else, I would most certainly do so.

Of the 10 people standing in the kitchen, I think about 2 are actually working. Tables are not being cleaned, one of the kiosks is partially broken, you only receive your order after about 40 minutes to an hour, and half of the staff cannot speak Dutch. In short: P.E.B. turn around and go to the Anytime or the snack bar a little further down the road.

We ate inside here and waited half an hour while we were the only ones, only to get cold fries, chicken that wasn't cooked properly, and the rest of the order was inedible as well.

There is just no atmosphere; the food is fine, don't get me wrong, but it is just filthy. I don't think the Public Health Service will come by here either, because it is very unhygienic. The floors are sticky everywhere too.. 😴

I think it's poor that you can't wash your hands first in a chicken restaurant, unless you go to the toilet, for which you have to pay 1 euro.

Called KFC up to five times, no one answered. Once arrived, it takes another half hour before the order is ready. Why have a phone number if you don't answer anyway? Why give a time for the order to be ready if it's incorrect?

I don't understand why there is so much staff walking around and it is just such a filthy mess. This is, by the way, the least bad KFC we have visited. A good manager would certainly be useful regarding cleanliness and hygiene. Food scraps everywhere, nowhere clean. Even where cleaning is actually done, it is 20%, so dirty. The unmistakable crispy chicken remains tempting, however. The chicken itself was unfortunately very dry.

The saddest KFC I have ever seen. Ordered takeout multiple times and what a pathetic mess. Food takes a darn long time, is sticky, cold, tasteless, and doesn't get right. The place is filthy and if you ask where your order is, they can't give you an answer. Sad place.

STAY AWAY FROM HERE! Unless you like waiting veeeery long, bad service, soggy and chewy fries, and slow staff. Ordered online 45 minutes in advance and still had to wait 25 minutes after that time. The burger was tasty, but never again here.

The staff speaks no Dutch and broken English. The fries were lukewarm, and the chicken was raw on the inside. Inside, it was messy, with a lot of trash on the tables and the floor.

Always disgusting and nasty, awful management, longer waiting times in a restaurant. The toilets are 100% guaranteed dirty, so are the floor. You needs to be lucky that the self-order machines working and thats paper inside, but ai guess by poker you have better luck to win. The food is really delicious, after the extreme long waiting time. There is really a management change necessary! I don't know anybody that likes to go there, but I guess I need to include the employees too, because they are always unable to smile. I just have to go there because there is no other in the area, but than I rather to go to a restautant, just pay a little more, but at least i get good service, nice and friendly employees that doesn't hate everybody including themself. And apparently the headquarter is the problem and doesn't care at all, cause those problems are in ALL KFC's in the north! All are super slow, dirty and more than "we will talk to them" doesn't happen anyway, so its really terrible management from the headquarter in the first place!

It's filthy here, how hard is it to clean, huh? Jesus man, I really don't think this is good. It takes a REALLY long time for the food to be ready here. They just stand there staring at that little screen, and they are incredibly slow. I come here often, and the order isn't ready until an hour later or even longer, even when there aren't even that many people. The food is tasty, though, but other than that, it's really bad.

It moved at a very slow pace; hope it never gets busy here, you have to wait hours to get anything. Then you have to wait and see if your order is correct. There are few Dutch-speaking people working there. Very disappointing, KFC, not worth the effort.

I was at the KFC drive-in in Leeuwarden. I stood there for literally 10 minutes but got no response. I heard absolutely nothing, even though they were open. This is already the second time this has happened to me there. I'm done with it now. I'm not going there anymore. Ridiculous.

I wrote a review about this (what is supposed to pass for) restaurant before (3 years ago), but it is even sadder than before, which I personally can hardly believe. You order and stand waiting half an hour for your food, which can barely be called food anymore. It is cold, greasy, tasteless, and incredibly expensive. The staff do not work efficiently at all and only speak English. The quality is truly bizarrely substandard; as KFC, I would be deeply ashamed to have such a restaurant under my name. Additionally, the sanitary facilities are also (to put it mildly) completely neglected. The regular men's toilet is inaccessible as the door handle is missing, so as a man, you are out of luck here. Furthermore, the rest of the toilet is filthy; everything smells of urine and the tap is half off but, surprisingly enough, still functions. Toilets elsewhere in the building are accessible but have no toilet paper, so as a customer, you are still left in a pickle. For anyone even considering spending their money here, I strongly advise against it. The conditions in this restaurant are simply appalling and degrading.
