After waiting 36 minutes in the drive-thru before I could order anything, and finally walking inside, I was able to order something. The employee said, "Just a minute, please." While I was there, three cars had driven away. I said, "Yes, definitely not. I'm already waiting. I want to order now. This makes no sense." He said, "Yes, yes, just a minute." "Well, you can't make me any angrier. Even in a Van der Valk, I'd almost be done with two rounds and drinks. This makes no sense." It's really awful.

The food itself was fine, except for some cold fries. Unfortunately, several people had to wait an hour or more for their food. The small kitchen staff couldn't handle the number of orders. Several employees also didn't speak Dutch. The trash can was completely overflowing and wasn't emptied or cleaned. The men's restroom was missing a door handle, so the only option was to use the women's restroom. I understand that it's difficult with limited staff, but it's still a shame.

Unfortunately, my experience with the chicken wings was very disappointing. Upon serving, it was immediately noticeable that several pieces still had hair or feathers on them. This is obviously unacceptable from a hygienic perspective and significantly affects my appetite. Although the flavor itself was decent, this issue prevented me from enjoying them. I expect chicken to be thoroughly cleaned and inspected before cooking. Hopefully, the restaurant will take this seriously and improve its quality control, because this simply shouldn't happen.

I've been here a few times for food, but every time the wait is 30+ minutes. A friend and I order at the same time, and one order arrives reasonably quickly, while the other has to wait a very long time. Judging by the other reviews, nothing is being done about this. The staff looks depressed, and when your number is called, you have to stand right in front of them otherwise you can't hear them. Not fast food; a snail could move across the parking lot even faster.

The KFC drive-thru took about 25 minutes, and there were only a few cars in line. The staff barely spoke Dutch. Not recommended. I tried again a year later, around 10 p.m., and ordered two sandwiches and an ice cream. I microwaved the sandwiches at home because they were cold (a 4-minute drive from my house). The ice cream wasn't stirred, so I first had a bite of chocolate, then a bite of caramel, and then plain ice cream. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE!!!!

Holy .. I just left the Drive Thru and the guy working was so insanly short and rude. When I arrived at the window i first had to wait 10 minutes to even pay, but once i did i told him that he should work on his customer friendliness/service cuz the way he treated me was not okay. He shoved the card machine in my face and told me to pay. (Mind you he didnt even tell me how much they owned me) Next time he opened the window I once again told him, the least he could do is applogise for his behaviour. He looked at me, gave me the food and closed the window. I have never been this close to saying keep the food, im not paying. This experience was horrible and quiet honestly, if I go again to this location and i see him working. I'll just go someone else for my food.

What a disaster. The staff were listless and incredibly slow. They clearly weren't in the mood. You can't call this "fast food" at all—more like super slow food. I seriously felt like the chicken still had to be slaughtered before my order was finally ready. The upstairs was closed, so there was barely any room to sit. The result: a LONG wait, only to be crammed in like a sardine with my tray in my hands in a line of people. No table service, faulty order terminals, and to top it all off, the food wasn't good either. In short: KFC Leeuwarden: this wasn't a meal, this was a punitive expedition.

Dear reader... Your Leeuwarden branch should be closed... I ate here today with my parents. I've never been so disappointed at a restaurant, and certainly not at a fast food restaurant. Upon arrival, One table with a father, mother, and two children. One table with two women and two kids. NO ONE ELSE. After 5 minutes of aimlessly standing at an empty counter, I decided to go to a kiosk because, after all, you only look at customers, just like a zoo, and you're not allowed to feed them. Then it got a bit busier with Uber Eats, delivery drivers, and other customers. Cars quickly went through the drive-through. The staff walked so slowly that they were rewinding time or were about to collapse on a blanket, praying for a quick end to this hard workday, staring at a screen and doing nothing. They didn't understand Dutch, or even English. Meanwhile, other guests left and right were receiving food, or whatever you call it when an order was correct the first time and served simultaneously. But after 45 minutes, I was irritated and wanted to get my money back... suddenly my heart pounded with anticipation, and instead of receiving my money, I received your tray. It felt like a party in the Netherlands. Then the packages were opened... Sandwiches looked like they'd been thrown from the closed first floor onto a tray on the ground floor (which is consistent with the wait time). The fries with cheese, cheese, cheese, and bacon, as advertised everywhere, were a mini container with half a slice of shredded cheddar cheese and some fried bacon bits. After 10 minutes of eating and a 45-minute wait, not a single employee had even gone through the store to clean the tables, floor, benches, and chairs. A dirty, greasy, filthy mess everywhere, completely impersonal, and unmotivated staff who seemed to be sleepwalking. Against all odds, everything was left like that, and the trash was already overflowing. I'll NEVER come here again.

We did get a new one when we asked. The entire order turned out to be incomplete, so we had to wait another 15 minutes for chicken tenders. Incidentally, I had to ask for them again. How come most KFCs are such a mess? Compared to, say, MAC, they have a better cleanliness. Is it the customers' fault, or the staff training? KFC Purmerend was a mess. Groningen was a mess. Lelystad was okay. Drachten was also reasonable. Last time I went to Leeuwarden, I used the drive-thru...pleasantly surprised. The chicken wasn't too greasy, had a nice flavor, and the order was correct! But I also went in here a year ago and seriously wondered what was going on. I think there's a structural problem with KFC, or rather, the franchisees. Hopefully, Leeuwarden will improve, because the KFC chicken is a great product.

Don't go here! Upon entering, the filthy floor is immediately noticeable. Food scraps and trash were everywhere. After ordering at a kiosk (no one at the cash register), you receive a receipt with a number. This is announced in English and displayed in tiny letters on a small screen near the counter. After ordering, I saw that half my order was ready after 15 minutes. Apparently, they'd forgotten the fries, so those still needed to be fried. You can see the person strolling around. Hard work apparently doesn't exist here. The staff all look disinterested, and their lack of energy is palpable. Everything takes a long time, and they radiate that, which several customers notice, and they openly discuss during the wait! Finally, after 25 minutes, the order was complete and served. By then, the burger and the sausage were almost cold. Never, ever come here again. The totality of the speed (it's fast food, isn't it?), quality, and aesthetics of this establishment is appalling. Highly recommended!

Because the place was completely full and there were no free tables, I went up to the first floor. When we finally got our order and started eating, a female employee came over and told us to leave the first floor immediately because it was closed to customers. I have a question: why are the staff kicking out people who have paid for their food and telling me to go downstairs, between dirty tables, when the staff doesn't clean up and there's no comfort for the customers? This really put me in a very bad mood, because I came there to eat, and now I was sent away and had to sit downstairs at a dirty table to eat my food. Where is the management of this establishment? My compliments on this KFC! Previously, whenever I ordered, I always had to wait half an hour for my food. The food was cold, soggy, and undercooked, so I kept going back to the supermarket whenever I craved KFC. I recently tried it again, and a lot has changed since I started coming back. The food is prepared quickly, they're very thorough, and now I can finally enjoy the food they make here again! I met the manager, and what a great woman she is! She's from Amsterdam, she said. She's super friendly, very hospitable, and has a big smile on her face! A huge improvement for the KFC here in Leeuwarden. I'm very happy with it!

I tried a few times to ask if I'd been forgotten. Given the order numbers weren't moving forward, I wondered if it was broken. But the staff didn't speak any Dutch. English was also difficult. Finally, I spoke to a nice woman. She had my order in two minutes. So it's possible. It's just strange that it has to be this way. Other customers were also irritated by the long wait. That doesn't create a pleasant atmosphere. The food itself wasn't worth the price, really. Soggy, crumpled sandwiches. The milkshake was good, at least. KFC has deteriorated rapidly in recent years throughout the Netherlands in terms of food (price/quality). I even think it's worse than the big yellow M since the beginning of this year. It must be the new policy or something. This KFC really takes the cake with the new policy. Everything is disgusting. Most of the food you get is cold or lukewarm. The service is terrible, not to mention the wait times, and the atmosphere is completely non-existent. I'm no longer going to KFC Leeuwarden. When this one first opened, it was really great, but it's gone downhill rapidly, and judging by what I've read, I'm not the only one who feels this way.

KFC Leeuwarden Where dreams go to die (slowly, in line) 🍗 I visit KFC maybe once every six months, but this location… this one is different. A kind of social experiment in how far you can lower the customer experience without officially breaking out in a fire. The vibe? As if the entire team shares a single brain cell, and it's just been put on pause. The employees stare at you with the vacant gaze of a lost herring. It's as if everyone speaks a different language – except Dutch and English. What do they understand? Chaos. The drive-thru is a unique experience: "Just drive to the next window," they say… which then turns out to be boarded up. Art installation or simply forgotten they run a drive-thru? Nobody knows. Entering the restaurant itself is also a treat: dirty tables, lackluster atmosphere, zero overview. Like stepping into an abandoned snack bar that just survived a zombie apocalypse. And the speed? The chicken looked fresh, but that's probably because they still had to catch it, slaughter it, and mourn its loss. When we got home, half our order was missing. Classic. My boyfriend eats at KFCs elsewhere often, but he'd never even experienced this before. In short: KFC Leeuwarden is special. But in the category of "you have to experience it to not recommend it." ⭐ 1 star, for the effort. And because the chicken was warm in the end, I think.

The fries were lukewarm and incredibly limp, the chicken was very salty, the milkshake hadn't arrived, and neither had the sauce. I tried calling, but they couldn't reach me, and they couldn't send anything through the Thuiszorgd chat either, suggesting there was a problem. All in all, a terrible experience; I won't be ordering from here again. I paid €60 and they couldn't even deliver everything properly—terrible!

I looked at my seat and nearly gagged—crumbs, food scraps, greasy chairs, trash, and a huge hole in the couch everywhere. Well, I thought it couldn't get any worse, but it did. I had to wait over 45 minutes for my food, even though it wasn't that busy. When I finally picked up the food, there were no drinks. Not so bad, so I just got a drink (I had to do it myself), and as soon as I picked it up, it was cold (?). Not only that, but the food was DISGUSTING. The chicken was soggy inside, and the fries were very salty and cold. Naturally, I still had a stomach ache when I got home, so I decided to leave this review. I'd love to see improvements and a response.

Last time I'll be there. Haven't been there for a long time, expected it to have improved after all these years. Service downright rude, slow and uninterested. Food cold, after complaint, get a new bag in hand and window slammed shut without a word. Too bad, waste of such a top location. With a good manager they can make this a super KFC. Give it a good clean. Work on customer friendliness and cleanliness, improve the quality of the food.

The KFC in Leeuwarden is apparently just like other KFCs in larger cities.. rather poorly organized, and you can count on a long wait. Yes, even when it is relatively quiet. This does have to do with the fact that the staff often has to do a lot with few people. And the chicken is always freshly fried, so it is not a McDonalds system. All in all I have to say that the employees always work hard, but because of the workload they can only do well. For the people who order on thuisbezorgd from KFC.. do not order drinks!! They do not use delivery proof cups as mac so it always arrives badly. So far my tips. The past 2 days it was completely wrong again... Waiting time of more than an hour in the store pff

My experience at this KFC store in the Netherlands was absolutely terrible and I feel that urgent action should be taken against this store. I had placed an order based entirely on chicken tenders: Boneless Bucket, Zinger Stacker and two Twisters – all products that require tenders. Yet my order was accepted without anyone informing me that the tenders were not available. When I asked why it was taking so long, I was told that the tenders would arrive in 7 minutes, and that they would only be prepared after that. This means that it would take much longer than I had initially understood – a misleading and unprofessional approach. The entire staff was rude and unhelpful, despite me clearly stating that I was on my way, and my children were very hungry after a whole day at a water park. When I asked for an alternative that was available sooner – which I accepted without any problem – I was not offered any suggestion. Instead, the manager came over and spoke in a particularly rude and disrespectful manner. Without giving me a choice, he simply decided to give me my money back, as if I had asked for it myself, while I was clearly looking for a solution, not a refund. When I subsequently received my money back, the amount was incorrect. I pointed this out to him, but instead of simply making up the difference, he repeatedly asked me how much exactly was missing, while I had given him the receipt and had not even touched the money - it was clearly visible on the table. This made me lose another 5 minutes due to his unnecessary delays and evasiveness. In the end, I wasted more than half an hour of my time, and had to go to another restaurant almost an hour away, while my children were hungry and tired. I plan to file an official complaint with KFC International, including video evidence to prove all this. In addition, I will also file a complaint with the Dutch consumer authority (ACM/Consuwijzer). This branch does not deserve to remain open as long as the staff shows no respect for customers, wastes their time, and refuses to take responsibility.

Honestly the slowest, most poorly served fast food restaurant I have ever been to. Tried several times but always cold and slow. The shop itself is often relatively dirty and for most employees eye contact is too much effort.

After not being at Febo for years, I thought I'd grab my favorite grilled burger, but it's gone from favorite to NOT. What a disgrace, €4 for a bite of lettuce because the grilled burger was hidden among the greens. Next time, I'll go back to a proper snack bar because those fast-food chains aren't focused on quality anymore, but on quantity, charging a lot for very little. Such a shame! The service was the only positive, though, and they were super friendly and extremely competent.
