Went with my friend to have our monthly time, spend 3.5 hours here, even though we were at the side of 2 hours all you can eat. We took our time, drink some, order some and love every single dish. Service was alert, helpful and friendly. Even our time was over we could enjoy a desert and got also advised. Nice and relax restaurant to go back again.

Just checked out Kimono Sushi, and it was really nice! The sushi was fresh and tasty, and the dishes came out pretty quickly. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming. Nothing over the top, just a solid, satisfying sushi spot.

Really nice place - 4.5 overall for me! The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is great. The food (we had 2 Ramen) was super tasty and it arrived quite fast as well. I only wish for the egg to have runny yolk, otherwise all perfect! We will come back again, that's for sure.

Gisteren hebben we heerlijk sushi gegeten bij Kimono in Santa Eulària. Wat een geweldige ervaring! Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. Vanaf het moment dat we binnenkwamen, voelden we ons welkom. De sushi was vers, smaakvol en prachtig gepresenteerd – echt een feestje voor de zintuigen. Elke hap was een genot. Of je nu van klassieke nigiri houdt of creatieve rolls, hier zit je goed. Kimono is absoluut een aanrader voor liefhebbers van sushi en goede service!

Overall, I think the food was good. However, not all the dishes met expectations. The sushi tasted fresh, and the ebi tempura was served with the shrimp still warm, which was a nice indication it had just been prepared. However, the lamb chops were quite tough, which was disappointing, especially since there's an additional charge for them. Some other dishes were also a bit watery, as if they had been recently defrosted. The staff welcomed us very warmly and offered us different seating options, as we arrived when it was still relatively quiet. Ordering is done through your own phone, which worked fine. The restaurant itself looked clean and well-presented. However, there were some flies flying around, which was a bit annoying at times.

The food made me suffer throughout the night with occasional visits at the toilet. It was bad. Not sure what they put into my food, might have gotten food poisioning. I usually eat one meal per day and that was my one meal of the day, so there was no other meal that could have caused this. At the restaurant, I asked to have spring onions removed and I assume they took out the bean sprouts instead of the green onions. My ramen came out after quite a while and quite cooled down already, but I wanted to eat with my friend. By the time his ramen arrived, I had already picked out all the spring onions. My friend ordered beef and got beef, chicken and pork all at once. Drinks and foods came out one by one with a lot of time in between. Even the drinks could not come together. I am quite sure that some of the staff don't even really know how their food looks like. One waiter could not answer how the beef would be (minced or cut in slices), another waiter came with random food that was not ours. The only good part about this place is that it is fairly cheap (compared to Rotterdam and Amsterdam). The taste is mediocre at most. If it was just for me getting poisoned by that food and everything else was fine, I wouldn't have written this review. Slow staff with lack of knowledge on their own food, cooled down food when served, mediocre taste, this ain't it.

Waited 50 minutes for the first round. This did come for my friend but my order did not arrive. In the meantime I ordered another round, that did not arrive either. We did indicate this, but nothing was done about it. We left, no apologies from the staff, just 'it is busy'. The young staff that walks around is also clearly not well trained/trained. They walk around, do their tasks but avoid contact with the customers, speak so softly that they cannot be understood and there is 0 energy in them. Very unprofessional. We will not come back here again.

I really like this restaurant! The interior is beautiful and stylishly decorated - you immediately feel welcome. The staff is incredibly hospitable and friendly, which makes the whole atmosphere even more pleasant. There is nice music playing in the background, which creates a cozy vibe. Both the food and the drinks were delicious. Definitely recommended, I will definitely come back here!

After having been here many years ago, we wanted to try Kimono again. We called a few restaurants at 18:30 in the evening, but most of them were only available at 20:15. At Kimono, we were able to get in at 19:30. We were brought to our table at 19:45 and while waiting, we already saw that it was chaos. The entire bar was full of dirty geese and empty bottles, there was stock everywhere and the staff was lagging behind in my opinion. At 19:50 we ordered round 1, and at 20:25 we got the first snacks (we could just as well have eaten somewhere else at 20:15) Because it took so long, we also sent in a 2nd round, which ultimately also took 40 minutes. Quickly sent in round 3 and in round 4 we still had to get some dishes from round 2. A fried duck could be on the table in 2 minutes but a bowl of seaweed salad took 40 minutes. For us this was really the last time. The food was certainly not bad but when you go out for dinner you don't want to wait that long for your food every time. Too bad, but if so many people write the same in the reviews I would work on it as an owner. Add 2 staff members and don't hire people if it's not possible.

Don't come here with young kids! They have chairs for young children, so you would assume they care about young customers who also eat from their menu but they don't. We went there with our son (9 months) who we ordered several products from their menu for but he also gets purees to match his nutritional need for the day. They did not have any good way for us to heat the puree and also couldn't be bothered. One of the servers that came to our table (possibly the owner by his arrogance) seriously told us we should not have come there with our son if he was going to need food heated up because they don't account for young children. Then why have the chairs.... Besides that they also have no changing table or other way to be able to change a diaper. Oh and if you are a careful parent that does not appreciate every server dangling a full tray of food/drinks above children's heads with the risks of serious injuries if something were to be dropped on a child's head, don't expect sympathy from the owner because his words to us once we voiced this complaint were that his restaurant is not a children's playground and that we should then place our kid in a different place while his employees set up the chair!

Al meer dan 10 jaar bezoeken mijn moeder en ik Kimono, en het stelt nooit teleur. Het eten is altijd heerlijk, maar er is één ding waar ik écht niet zonder kan: hun sausje, love it! Iets dat je nergens anders zult vinden. Wat Kimono leuk maakt, is de sfeer. Er draait altijd lekkere muziek en de medewerkers zijn niet alleen ontzettend vriendelijk, maar ook altijd snel en attent. Dit is absoluut ons favoriete plekje (een tweede huis, zou je kunnen zeggen), echt een aanrader!

My mother and I have been visiting Kimono for over 10 years, and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious, but there is one thing I really can't live without: their sauce, love it! Something you won't find anywhere else. What makes Kimono fun is the atmosphere. There is always good music playing and the employees are not only incredibly friendly, but also always quick and attentive. This is absolutely our favorite place (a second home, you could say), highly recommended!

Very tasty food in the evening, with generally fast service and lots of choice. The only downsides are that not all dishes are sometimes delivered, and that there is often smoking on the terrace. For lunch I would also definitely recommend ramen, very tasty soup and if you are lucky they play Takeshi's Castle on the big screen🙂

The food was fine. There was however one item on the menu that was absolutely delicious. The heart-shaped salmon sashimi rose. We ordered it a couple of times. Because one of the few items that was really good. Then the waiter came and in a jokingly but serious tone mentioned that the chef was upset because it is a hard dish to make and we had apparently ordered too many 😳 I was in absolute shock. Sunday afternoon, November 24, we (2 adults and 3 children) decide to give kimono another chance... (after some bad experiences).. We were easily able to arrive at 5:45 PM. That actually says enough to me when all the other restaurants are completely full. Upon entering we entered a restaurant that was not normally full at the bar. From drinks / crates / toilet paper / stock of bottles of wine and you name it... that's not a sight for the guests, is it? The children had to pee... the toilets were so incredibly dirty and soaking wet with water. No toilet paper while I think you just opened? How is this possible... Anyway, we sit down.. we know the concept and order something to eat because the children were hungry. After 20 minutes we received our sushi but still nothing from the hot dishes. After asking twice and having already finished round 2, still no hot dishes... the two smallest ones still haven't eaten anything (wild fries/hot chicken dishes and bitterballen).. So we asked again and then the manager came.. always a friendly man but now he was really rude. Basically it came down to the fact that he was busy on the roof due to a problem with the extractor fan and that we shouldn't complain because we had our food, right!l? AFTER 1 hour and 45 minutes yes... we got everything on the table in one go... the problem was that the extractor was broken and so we found ourselves in a restaurant full of blue smoke... 2 crying kids because they were still hungry... But the worst is yet to come... I indicated several times that I was not satisfied & no matter what, I just had to pay for 5 because he thought we had already eaten enough? Sorry, but point 1 he doesn't decide and point 2 is not how you talk to guests. Then at checkout he told me that he regularly saw us at Fuji House and that it was the same owner. I hope you read this and think carefully about both locations. Because in all honesty fuji house is A THOUSAND x better and the staff is truly fantastic!! I also reported this to him, but he didn't seem to be alarmed by anything and thought it was all normal. But kimono is really a mockery and you won't see us there again...

The food was delicious and it didn't come very late (yet many people say so), which might be because there weren't many people there. The staff was friendly and came by regularly to see if everything was to our liking. I had a bowl of ramen with gyoza and it was very tasty. The staff is Chinese, not Japanese, so we were able to talk to them in Chinese. All in all a nice lunch with delicious food!

Probeerde het goed te praten, dat hij na het roken echt wel zijn handschoen zou wisselen. Nee meneer de manager, de volgende keer als een KLANT zegt, dan zeg je dat dit echt niet door de beugel kan, biedt je je excuses aan en je zegt dat je de kok hier streng op gaat aanspreken. Onze eetlust was hierdoor verpest, en we zijn weggegaan. We komen toch wel redelijk vaak, maar hier gaan ze ons niet meer zien.

Very unfortunate, we have been coming here since it opened, we always liked it very much, cozy, tasty and fast. But that has now come to an end. The last few times we have been here, the staff was ignorant and unfriendly, the food took a very long time because they work in the kitchen on a receipt basis and they could not do anything about it being busy. one time the sushi was not tasty and now the grill dishes were tasteless. When we asked why, it was difficult to find staff, more expensive ingredients, but the stacks of crates next to the bar, the non-working Christmas lights on the wall, 50% of the lighting that are broken, the tables that are simply not cleared. I have worked in catering for over 15 years, but this is clearly neglecting your business and blaming everyone but yourself. Too bad, but we don't have to come here anymore.

When we still lived in Almere we often visited Kimono. Since we moved to another part of the country we don't come that often anymore, but when we could, we came back. Unfortunately, I think tonight was the last time. The quality of the food has really deteriorated. Our previous visit was somewhat disappointing (sushi rice was undercooked) and tonight was decisive. The grill dishes are bland, the sauce for the tenderloin was watery and tasteless. The sushi was fresh this time, but we had to wait 28 minutes for it. The service was friendly, but ignorant, they apologized that it was unexpectedly busy and that there was nothing they could do about it. Tables of guests who had already left an hour ago were not cleared. Candles on the table were not lit. Half of the lighting is broken. Chairs are broken and giving off. The bar is completely full of stuff. I don't know what's going on, but I don't need to come back here anymore.

Yesterday, on June 22, 2024, my husband and I ordered food from this company for our engagement day. We placed our order at 4pm, expecting it to be delivered at 6pm. However, the food was only delivered two hours later. In the meantime we had to call three times to inquire about our order. The first time we called, a young lady told us that a mistake had been made and that the food would be delivered in 15 minutes. Half an hour later the food still wasn't there. The last time we called, the manager or owner scolded my mother. Their fault, and yet they berate an older woman. That's really unheard of. When the food finally arrived it looked like it had been sitting in the heat all day. It smelled sour. The ribeye in the ramen looked like ground beef and tasted like it was heavily expired. After two bites I became extremely ill. Even though I still had to go to a party, I spent the entire evening and night on the toilet, vomiting profusely and having severe diarrhea. Also the manager lied. We were order number three, but he claimed we were number twenty. However, the receipt said something different. They refused to give our money back. Thuisbezorgd contacted them, but they were very difficult. We have now contacted the inspection service. We kept photos and all the evidence. I'm curious to see what will come of this. In a word: disastrous.

Unfortunately not what it used to be. The food we ate was good, but we had to ask twice and wait an hour until our youngest of 4 got his fries, he didn't eat them anymore because he had to wait too long. We finally received the frikandels that we had ordered for him in the first round when we had just ordered the third round, they were completely hard and therefore baked for far too long. I almost swallowed an ebi avocado maki with a very hard and very sharp piece of tempura, it really looked like a spelled point. After raising this issue, we received the answer that this is just part of the EBI and that it is part of it. We also had a dish sent back because it was cold. Together with a number of other dishes, we never got it again, even though we asked for it. Indicate everything, but the answer we received was that it was busy and there was a shortage of staff. We ultimately paid for 1 child instead of 2, but unfortunately no more kimono for us.

Food was delicious as usual. When booking it was stated that a birthday boy was present. It's a bit of a shame that it wasn't picked up while the tables around were being celebrated.

Food was decent can't expect more from all you can eat style, ambience is nice. But the service is terrible, we were 4 people ordered various dishes, we never got couple of dishes but we got something else instead and when we didn't finish the owner expects us to pay saying It's a rule in netherlands which I completely agree ( we would have if we got what we asked ). This is our second time here, the first time we were here we got the food extremely late when i asked they said it's finished. I thought i'll let it go but as this is second time i decided to write a review. Bad / poor service.

Price is good and so is what you get, but the service was ridiculously bad. Food was served 9 out of 10 times without saying what it was or at least giving a little interaction. 1 long hair fished out of the food. No one mentioned compensation or anything like that at the table because an apology from the servant would have been enough. But he took the food without saying a word about it. Manager or whatever it was turned his back on us as we left. Very immature and antisocial behavior. We are left with a very bad aftertaste from a restaurant we used to visit very often years ago. This tent that I recommended to people is no longer recommended and this was the last time for us.

Altijd een goede klant geweest bij Kimono tot in December 2023. Sushi besteld en dat het was gewoon oud. Hun reden was: met kerst os het drukker en minder personeel? Is toch als klant niet mijn probleem. Ik heb hun hier netjes over gemaild en na een aantal mailtjes verder: we komen er nog op terug. Na een maand nog niks gehoord, nog eens gemaild en niks terug gehoord. Vind het gewoon schandalig hoe zij met hun klanten omgaan. Nooit meer voor mij.

It's really tasty food. Sushi was great and fresh, the grilled dishes served hot, just from the grill, and ingredients didn't lack anything. Everything is made with quality.

I have been to Kimono a couple of times and was happy everytime. Their ramen is really good and they do have vegetarian options. The all-you-can-eat comes handy when you are looking for a heavier meal and you also get to try the entire menu. My favourite is the maki options there. Service is fast and staff is very attentive.

Super bad food , never again here! The menu is terrible , quality of food super bad , they have their kid around crying and screaming and holding the door of the entrance. Super super super slow service . I don't recommend anyone to come eat here !

Very neat, cozy and beautiful restaurant. Food is of perfect quality. Much variation. Grill, sushi, side dishes, cocktails, etc. All great. Suitable for larger groups and child-friendly. Toilets are ok, but there was not enough soap. All in all, Kimono restaurant is definitely worth a visit as a dining option.

We spontaneously went looking for something today on Valentine's Day and found what we were looking for in Kimono. The food was super tasty and fresh, and the highlight was a Polaroid for the special occasion. We would come back if we are there again.

Ridiculous !!! We had made a reservation at 7:00 PM and we only had our reserved table at 7:30 PM. After we ordered the first round, we waited 45 minutes and still had nothing. Ridiculous excuse that he was short staffed, but the table next to us, which had ordered later, already had 3 rounds on the table. I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN

Really bad. We got there, made a reservation at 7:00 PM and only got a table at 7:30 PM. Then ordered food and waited at least half an hour and still didn't eat anything, we had already been there for an hour! The reason was staff shortages, but the rest of the tables did receive food. Ridiculous, won't go there again!

The quality of their Ramen gets worse and worse! We’re coming here for years and the Ramen used to be good, good taste, fresh ingredients. This was our last time here, again the Ramen had no taste at all and maybe they were running out of ingredients but in our vegetarian soup we only had noodles, some tauge and lots of cheap salad?! instead of pakchoi, Mais, Nori, mushrooms, egg and lente-ui etc… so disappointing!

Unfortunately no photos were taken of the food. But Kimono is certainly worth repeating. The food arrives still warm (which I rarely experience), tastes super fresh and delicious choices. Staff is also really super friendly. It looks really cute and cozy. I'm not easily satisfied with AYCE products, but this one is really great! 🍱🥢🍣🫰

Super tasty food, literally everything was fresh! I think for me it's the best sushi place in Almere. Such lovely people who think along with you and help answer your questions. Really a 10 for both the atmosphere and food service! Halal is also mentioned on the menu, which is very nice.
