I read many 1 star reviews and I agree with them. We had to wait more than 25 minutes for a drink. I think it's a shame because the location is good. It wasn't really busy yet and yet people were hopelessly behind on orders. Success.

We spent the night in the B&B. We were not received very enthusiastically. All attention was focused on the wedding that was taking place. Room was okay but the price asked was very high. At around 11:30 in the evening, the shower fan suddenly turns on automatically... and cannot be turned off, and the same in the morning. Also regularly an annoying ticking sound due to air in the pipes. The room is above the kitchen, so it is not really quiet..... and the breakfast is disappointing..... a few mini bake-off rolls, a piece of cheese, ham, jam and sprinkles and an egg that boiled for 5 minutes.... at home we have it more luxurious.... and for that price...

What a special place to stay! The room, the service, and even that special feeling of walking the castle grounds at night when no one is around... magical. The lunch was excellent, all freshly made with (among other things) herbs from their own garden, which grow abundantly on the estate. I highly recommend this B&B!

We had a lunch of 7 people. groomsman board, a 19.95 pp. Vegetable soup, making a mess with rock-hard small pieces of raw vegetables. Making tomato soup, watery without taste, reasonable toast. Salad...just lettuce in a bowl without anything on top. All in all, a very poor grade and poor catering.. a lot to learn, price quality was not good.. Called in advance, agreed that 2x wanted vegetarian.. This was not known. Had the bill adjusted 3 times because it was wrong.. #gobacktothecateringschool

We were able to celebrate our daughter's wedding here last Saturday, what a great day, very well cared for and organised, the preparations went very well and nicely, the food and all the snacks were very tasty, we also slept there, very relaxed with a delicious breakfast, in short, an unforgettable day in a very beautiful and attractive location, thank you to the entire team at the Koetshuis!!

Had a great wedding at the coach house! Compliments to Willem, Petra, Gerard, the service and everyone who was present that day. Every option for your own interpretation and decoration of the location. Dietary wishes and allergies are carefully taken into account. The vegetarian snacks are delivered to the right person throughout the evening. Had a great wedding! We celebrated our entire day here: toast, drinks, dinner and party evening. + Bridal suite and all B&B rooms.

We ordered soup and a panini. The soup was a pureed can of tomatoes with no flavor and the Panini came from the freezer. Nothing was done with the feedback, a waste of money

We had a fantastic wedding here. The food, drinks and service were great. This really is a great location for a wedding or other celebration. I also don't agree with the negative reviews. We have had three appointments with Willem van het Koetshuis. At each appointment we went through our wishes, suggestions from his side, and made all agreements in increasing detail. After each conversation we always received a total cost overview of all points that were discussed. On the day itself they arranged everything perfectly and when it unexpectedly started to rain, everything was adjusted perfectly so that we could continue indoors! Never celebrate your wedding here!!! The service is ridiculously bad. Things you agree with managers are immediately forgotten. We arranged the cake ourselves in the evening. They suddenly come to us that no cake and coffee have been arranged for the evening and they start ordering extra themselves. Suddenly a cake is delivered (which had been agreed) and they start blaming us for forgetting to write down that the cake had already been arranged. And so on all day long. If people come in even 5 minutes earlier, they will immediately charge €1300 more. Far too little service, we had agreed to have service in the evening. They suddenly tell us that we have not agreed on this and everyone has to go to the bar themselves. Halfway through the evening the normal glasses were suddenly gone, you get coke in a beer glass. That is not part of a normal location! Most of it was also without injection. And the wedding cake that had been arranged was not even allowed to be put in the refrigerator because they do not have that many refrigerators. I could go on and on but I think this is enough to convince people to please don't have your wedding here. In other words, the location is beautiful, and it's fine to have a quick meal there and then leave again. But please never celebrate your wedding here to save yourself trouble and stress.

We wanted this to be properly arranged so we let them arrange this. This was also written down by him himself, on the day itself he suddenly says that we have not agreed on anything, he can still arrange a microphone, but that will cost 95 euros extra.... (The speakers are already there) At the start of the reception I was suddenly told that all 150 guests had to go and get their own drinks from the bar, we discussed this in advance, he said, you were there yourself. (We were there with 5 of us during that conversation, none of us heard). You don't want this kind of thing on a busy day as a master of ceremonies, not even in the threatening tone he uses. We had hung up balloons and he came to emphasize for the second time that if we pop even one, 650 (!!!!!) euros will be charged for cleaning costs. SIX HUNDRED FIFTY EURO! Do I get the vacuum cleaner afterwards or something? And so many other things, such as constantly dropping glasses, (more than 10 times a day), the poor arrangement of the toast with the cake, the lighting for which you pay 150 euros extra for outside, but which is a string of lights. , or the glasses that are finished halfway through the evening. Our wedding was held here. The location is beautiful, but the owner knows how to ruin it for your master of ceremonies, family, friends and yourself. Our master of ceremonies was barked at when she came to ask something. The gentleman had to instruct his staff? Even though he told us that he has been working with the same team at weddings for years. This was certainly not the case as the staff told ourselves it was her daughters 1st day. Or that someone just started working there. (by the way, the staff did their best) The master of ceremonies came to ask if we could get something to drink since we had been waiting for one for an hour. All but 2 hours of the drinks were bought off. If there is only 1 person for so many people, you will indeed have to wait an hour for 1 drink. As a bride, I also had to figure it out myself. Toast and cake moment went very strangely. We couldn't finish our glass of wine without having to start cutting the cake. Before my husband and I could take a bite of our cake, the cake was already cut into uneven pieces and given to the guests. Our photographer missed the cake moment because it had to be done so quickly (as a bridal couple we were overwhelmed by this, you kind of go with the flow, but in retrospect it was a mess) The cake was to be served: cost €3.25 per guest. The guests ultimately had to get the cake themselves... A number of things were forgotten that were clearly stated in the quotation and which were also discussed in detail. If you were asked about this, you were snubbed and said: it has been so long since this was discussed due to postponement. We had a final conversation 4 weeks before our wedding... During which the final adjustments were recorded. It seems to me that if it was discussed 4 weeks ago, you could do this on the wedding day. It was such a professional company, wasn't it? With years of experience? The BBQ started 45 minutes late, which meant we had to rush to be ready in time for the evening party. The owner opened the BBQ with the words: only take 1 piece of meat at a time because you have all evening. The whole evening? We had the time from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and they didn't start frying the meat until 6:15 PM. We and our guests thought this was a very strange comment. Our DJ arrived on location at 7:30 PM and was unfriendly asked what they were doing here??? The lights came on at 12 o'clock sharp, even though the last song was still playing. In short, we had a great day with our family, friends and colleagues, but this was ABSOLUTELY NOT due to the location and its owner. What an unfriendly man, who can't stand it when you talk to him about something that isn't going well.

Friendly welcome. Nice spacious room with bathroom. You can get free coffee and tea in the breakfast room. Other drinks and nibbles for a fee. In the morning a good breakfast with warm rolls, all kinds of toppings, yogurt, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, etc. Will definitely come back again.

They had a full vegan 4 course dinner event tonight. The food was great, and came with paired wines. I would definitely recommend.

Day guest at a wedding, these gentlemen can ruin a beautiful day. Had to wait more than 30 minutes for the first cup of coffee. Wedding cake had been outside for a long time, a slice of cake was even thicker than the piece of cake. Lunch was bad. And dinner was a big flop. Halfway through the 1st round, the bread was already gone, meat was raw, and 2 hosts were rude to the guests. And then to know what the bridal couple had to pay, scandalous

High Tea is way too expensive for what you get. High tea was mediocre, service did not know what we were getting. The last course was picked up but it is not said that it was the last. So we waited a long time for nothing before asking ourselves if we were ready. For €25 per person I expected more.

There was very little help with a wedding. Food left much to be desired and service was downright bad.

If you have to explain the word empathy to the owners of a B&B, that says enough. I felt very unsafe, the drain smelled and it was very noisy. Those were 3 of the total 8 points I reported but no, they had hundreds of other guests without issues so my situation was not taken seriously. I checked out after 1 hour and spent the night in another hotel. Compensation for costs? If people cannot (or do not want to) even send a correct invoice, then that is a far cry. If you haven't noticed yet, I don't recommend staying here because of the facilities and especially the lack of empathy.

Friendly staff, beautiful location with lots of potential. But unfortunately the staff is not sufficiently trained. As a result, there were dirty tables, employees went in empty-handed while several tables were full of glassware, orders were incorrectly placed and forgotten and the waiting times were extremely long (15 minutes for a drink and more than 45 minutes for some snacks). And with relatively high prices of almost 3 euros for soft drinks and €7.50 for 6 bitterballen, it was unfortunately quite a disappointment.

After visiting the beautiful castle we were hungry and decided to have lunch at the Carriage House. Nice and quiet because it was Sinterklaas. We ordered panini and sausage roll. The panini was really paper thin and the sausage roll cold inside. We were given a second attempt, but it was also cold again. And the quality is really not okay. I buy it at Aldi 10 for €2. The bitterballen and the tasty beer made up for it, but for almost €30 we felt like we were being cheated.

Lovely small B&B next to the castle of Ammersoyen. Dogs welcome. Friendly staff and helpful. We stayed in the Catherine van Gelre suite. Lovely continental breakfast in the morning. Their the owner had some great ideas what to do in the area and the different walks we can do. Suite has a private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer in each unit, along with free toiletries. It is also possible to enjoy tea or coffee and other drinks. Free WiFi available although now not very good but in the future better service. Parking available with the possibility to recharge electric cars.

We used the terrace. Coffee good, tea good, apple pie not taken because it has been in the freezer (honest answer from the service). Lunch was not possible due to understaffing. Nice b&b in a beautiful area, good base for beautiful cycling and walking tours. Nice room on the first floor. The bathroom was in the hallway, that was no problem. Although I would perhaps have placed the sink near the bathroom instead of in the room, because of washing hands after going to the toilet. We slept wonderfully and the breakfast was also excellent. The room was a bit noisy, but with earplugs it was manageable. There was hardly any WiFi reception, but you don't really expect that when you go to such an environment. The owners and employees were very friendly.

A very nice little castle with a bar/restaurant. The place is full of history and is a great place to visit with your family. The bar/restaurant has offers a wide selection of beers and beverages for a reasonable price. The staff was also very friendly.

Beautiful castle + canals + coach house. Nice to take a break during a bike ride at a picnic table or on the terrace (open on Sunday afternoons). Various species of ducks, geese, coot families and a pair of swans swim in the canal belt.

We had dinner here prior to the castle visit. We went for the more luxurious BBQ. The first two pieces of meat were excellent. There were also tasty salads and bread. With the third piece of meat we thought we were eating a piece of pork, but it was probably beef... Very dry and therefore much less tasty. And then it was ready again! There was really not enough meat.... Then we were allowed to choose from a number of types of ice cream. Unfortunately there were no other dessert options. We chose ice cream with caramel and hazelnuts. When we ate it it turned out to taste really different. When asked, it turned out that it was yogurt ice cream with walnuts and honey. Well, something different. We felt the costs were disproportionate compared to what we got. So there is work to be done here for Het Koetshuis!

Visited on Saturday 22.06.2019. Tasty lunch and in nice weather on the terrace with a view of the castle. Here they also understand well what customer service means: we ordered a drink, but it was not delivered, we asked again and immediately ordered another cup of tea. Order was delivered immediately, with apologies and the cup of tea was on the house. Great, that's how it should be!
