Had a lovely lunch with my daughter. We were on our way to visit friends and Kokkie was one of the few places on the road that was open. The food was surprisingly good. Good value for money. Clean, tidy restaurant and friendly staff. Definitely worth a repeat visit if we are in the area.

We had a delicious meal. My husband and kids had a hamburger and I had the shawarma. Everything was very tasty! The fried potatoes are also highly recommended 👍 The only downside was the smokers on the terrace.

We looked up restaurants in Apeldoorn online to grab a nice, affordable meal. We sat on the terrace and ordered food and drinks. The service was mediocre and the food was somewhat disappointing for the price. Unfortunately, it is not something we would repeat.

Ate at Kokkie for the first time; everything was terribly salty, the fried potatoes were burnt, the tournedos were dry and way too overcooked. It really wasn't worth the money and I certainly won't be coming back there again. The staff was friendly though.

Had another lovely meal there with my dad today, this time outside on the terrace. Glad we made a reservation (tip: always do, it's often busy). I've been coming here for yeeeears and will keep doing so. Tasty and pleasant food in a great atmosphere.

I have lived 200 meters away for 17 years. But we rarely order from here, which is a real shame. The reason? Always double-check your order because they very often manage to make mistakes. Otherwise, the food is good, but we almost always order from another place via Thuisbezorgd.

When I'm in the area, Kokkie is really my favorite place to eat. Everything is served nicely. Pleasant and cozy atmosphere for a good price. They also have a cafeteria attached if you want to buy something there.

All in all just okay, to be expected from a cafetaria. The personel are friendly, and quick to work so its good for what its worth

One thing I don't understand: why is almost everything exceptionally good and the fries an 8? I hope the head chef understands this; he gets a 9 anyway.

Whenever we stay in Apeldoorn, we always stop by Kokkie for dinner. Just good food from an extensive menu at a reasonable price. Many other small restaurants could learn a thing or two from that!

Always good at Kokkie. It had been a while since I last ate at Kokkie. The friendliness of the staff comes first. The food isn't fancy, but it is tasty and good. The menu has been the same for years, apparently established among the regulars. Various types of beer on tap, depending on the season. The terrace is a lovely place to be in good weather; keep in mind that smoking is allowed there. For a quick bite, you can go to the snack bar.

Ordered via Thuisbezorgd, the fries are cold and so greasy that they don't taste good anymore!!! The fries are fried in old fat, yuck.

I've been coming here for about 20 years. Recently, after not being there for a while, we went back. This time, our son helped us instead of our father :) It was very busy and the wait was long, but they can't blame us for that...it's a good sign. The service was good, and the food is still delicious!

Monday evening, February 9th. We were served by a very grumpy guy. He couldn't say a good word. The satay sauce was watered down and as thin as water! And the hogweed was burnt. Not for us anytime soon. Too bad, it was always a great cafeteria.

Tonight I ordered fries and a side dish. Unfortunately, they were really not good. The fries were hard and very brown, the goulash croquette was cracked and burnt, and the sausage dried out. I've been a regular customer for years, and this has been happening more often lately. Such a shame. This is definitely the last time for me.

I also found the price for two dishes incredibly reasonable, especially because the chef upgraded my dessert without charging a cent extra. It's remarkable these days, but friendliness is paramount. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff were very friendly. The café seemed difficult to get a seat without a reservation, and even the snack shop was extremely busy. With such great value for money, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re staying here during your trip.

Quickly grabbed a snack. I thought the bereklauw (bearded pea) was a bit overcooked and the onions were black... the frikandel speciaal (special frikandel) was tasty, but also a bit overcooked in my opinion. Next time, we'll grab a bite before we go to Orpheus.

Last Saturday, we stopped by the Bastion Hotel nearby. So, in the evening, we got some fries from the snack bar. They were good, the fries were a bit overcooked, but that's possible, as they were busy. We'd planned to eat at the Eetcafe this week as well. Well, no sooner said than done. We hadn't made a reservation, which I didn't realize, but no problem, they still had a few spots available. We started with a delicious onion soup, wow, it was so good, just the way it should be. Highly recommended. Then I had the shashlik with fried potatoes, and my husband had the tenderloin. Both delicious. And then the staff, who understand how things should be done, very friendly and ask if everything is to your liking, and occasionally ask if you'd like another drink. Truly excellent, but be careful with those; they're rare.

The establishment has a restaurant section and a fast-food section. I personally tried the latter. I wasn't disappointed. The selection is quite wide, with classic burgers as well as more original recipes. The fries were good. A good place.

Great atmosphere, affordable, and tasty food. It's still a snack bar, but they've done everything they can to make it a cozy place, which I think they've succeeded in doing. The service is quick and friendly.

The food was delicious, but the tables were cramped. We were seated next to the toilet, and we constantly had to move our chairs when someone needed to get past.

Unfortunately, the last time, the fries were very salty. The burgers were also cooked very dark and therefore dry. A few months earlier, we had had such a good experience with gluten-free snacks.

The fries were good, but the meat with too much bacon was less filling and heavy. I thought a salad would alleviate this, but it was dry with only a few cucumber slices and one tomato. Tip for the future: please expand your vegetarian dishes, serving a little less, but better, meat per portion with crisp, seasonal vegetables. Very nice!

Ik had het 12 uurtje dat was super en meer dan genoeg voor de lunch. Een aanrader hier. Mijn gezelschap was ook zeer tevreden over hun lunch. Ondanks het warme weer zaten we heerlijk op het terras in de schaduw . Dus ben je in Apeldoorn en wil je een lunch kom naar Kokkie

Heerlijk gegeten! Heel veel keus uit een kaart die er zeer aantrekkelijk uitzag. Vriendelijk personeel. Snelle bediening. Alleen de service had nèt iets beter gekund, daarom maar 4 sterren. Toen we binnenkwamen werden we wel meteen begroet. En kregen ook al snel ons drankje. Hadden ook gezegd dat we nog wat wilden eten. Maar nadat we de drankjes hadden gekregen, zagen we niemand meer. Terwijl ze toch op nog geen drie meter bij ons vandaan stonden en er verschillende keren oogcontact was. Uiteindelijk heb ik na een minuut of 20 zelf maar gevraagd of we konden bestellen. Daarna kwam ook het eten snel. Er is alleen geen enkele keer gevraagd of alles naar wens was. Niet toen het wel aan de 2 tafeltjes achter ons werd gevraagd en ze daarna ons tafeltje passeerden. En niet tijdens het afrekenen. Dat was wel wat teleurstellend. Verder ontzettend genoten en ZEKER voor herhaling vatbaar! We kwamen van een dagje Apenheul en wonen niet in de buurt, maar komen zeker de andere gerechten nog een keer uitproberen, als we weer in de buurt zijn.

Gezellig en druk. Eten redelijk ok, was vroeger beter. Daarnaast zijn de prijzen met 10-20% verhoogd tov verleden jaar. En de kaart is echt een heel stuk kleiner geworden, de typische Hollandse gerechten sraan er (bijna) niet meer op, heel jammer

I've been waiting here for two hours, where is my food? I'm never going back here, I just walked out. This can't possibly ruin my whole day. After we asked after an hour and a half, they said it would be here in five minutes. Fifteen minutes later, we asked again, and they said, "The food will be here in about ten minutes." Bizarre! And the wine was poured as if the waitress had tripped.

Disappointing Service and Overpriced Water We were a group of three and had a rather unpleasant experience at this restaurant. When we first ordered drinks, we specifically asked for a big bottle of water, but the waiter told us they only had small bottles available. With no price mentioned, we reluctantly ordered the small ones — which turned out to be only 200ml and later showed up on the bill at €3.25 each. To make matters worse, when our food arrived and we asked for more water, the waitress informed us they did have 1L bottles available — contradicting what the first waiter said. We ordered one of those as well and were charged €4.75 for it. It felt like the first waiter deliberately pushed the small bottles to make more money off us, which left a bad impression. As for the food, the salad was extremely plain, lacking any dressing or flavor — just a pile of vegetables without effort or taste. Overall, the experience felt dishonest and underwhelming. I wouldn’t return or recommend this place unless they improve their transparency and service quality.

Afgelopen week gegeten met een stel vrienden. Erg vriendelijk personeel en lekker eten voor een goede prijs. 4 maal de pasta gamba pill pill besteld. Bij ons allemaal erg goed bevallen en we zouden dit zeker nog een keer bestellen mochten we hier weer eens terugkomen.

Handy that you can order a day in advance so that you can pick it up the next day. Great little place. Small portions though... We're used to something different in Groningen 😅... A portion of fries with mayo/satay was not even half as much as regular fries at our snack bar in Pekela but twice as expensive... But oh well... I think that's normal here. Furthermore, friendly staff and quick service.

It has been better, but still tasteful

Helaas wat een teleurstelling. ‘s- morgens gereserveerd maar kreeg na paar uur nog geen bevestiging. Dus ik dacht ik bel even. Meisje gaf aan dat ze avond ervoor ook al vol zaten en deze avond ook al binnen vol, dus ja dan krijg je geen bevestiging? Ik gaf aan dat ik buiten zitten had aangegeven en toen schreef ze ons voor die avond op? Eten. Mijn vriend had o.a. tournedos en ik halve kip. Tournedos werd niet gevraagd hoe je deze bereid wilt hebben. Was absoluut niet bijzonder. Mijn kip heb ik teruggegeven, zo ontzettend droog en niet smakelijk. Bediening (aardig personeel) vroeg wat wilt u dat ik ermee doe…daarna gaf ze aan dat er een nieuwe aan kwam. Deze heb ik afgezegd. Mijn vriend was inmiddels klaar met eten en ik huiverde bij het idee dat ik zo de andere helft op mijn bord kreeg. Geen excuses voor het voorval, bied dan i.i.g. een drankje aan van de zaak maar helaas. Bij het afrekenen gaf ik aan dat ik de kip niet wilde betalen. Daar werd gelukkig helemaal niet moeilijk over gedaan. Positieve lekker stokbroodje en carpaccio vooraf en aardappeltjes bij de kip lekker. Salade daarentegen, verlept en dressing nauwelijks aanwezig. Voor ons geen Kokkie meer.

Nice place to have a drink and something to eat.

Kokkie is traditionally a snack bar, a cafe is attached to it. Simple but fine and that does not detract from the food. Service was great, all employees were at the table, the staff was very friendly. Outside, on the main road, is a terrace. For a quick bite or a drink, it is great to sit.
