I am extremely satisfied with the entire experience. Today I went out for dinner with a good friend of mine and we were pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival, we found ourselves at a beautiful old building that had been converted into the restaurant. We were received very hospitably in this atmospheric restaurant with very friendly staff. Once seated at the table, we looked at the menu and there were so many different things; from sushi to steak and from pizza to noodles, something for everyone. Once we ordered, the sushi was brought to the table and the presentation itself was already promising, but once we tasted it exceeded all our expectations. The sushi was incredibly fresh, the shrimp was nice and soft and not tough, the rice was also very soft, and the ingredients were very flavorful! The rest of what we tried on the menu was also anything but disappointing. The desserts were also very tasty, and drinks were free during the anniversary promotion, so that was really great too. All in all, this is highly recommended on all fronts, and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to go eat here sometime!

We used to come here regularly a few years ago and always enjoyed it. Now it is really starting to get worse. Many dishes have been removed, and regularly one dish from an order round was not delivered. One plus point: the drinks were included now.

Ordering dishes via a tablet, so you can remain seated at the table. The food is very tasty, there really is something for everyone, and it is brought to the table quickly, just like the drinks. Empty plates and glasses are also cleared promptly. Beautiful ambiance in a historic building.

The restaurant has really gone downhill in recent years. The menu is very limited. The sushi is tasty, though. The ribeye was tough. Medium tenderloin and steak were served more rare. One young waitress looks like she doesn't feel like working. She looks incredibly grumpy. The music selection in the restaurant is also inappropriate. All in all, this was definitely the last visit. For this price, there are other places that are better.

Delicious food, beautiful restaurant, and top-notch service

On a Sunday afternoon, we sat comfortably on the back terrace enjoying all the delicious snacks we ordered via the tablet. We had an all-inclusive package including all drinks. We highly recommend this and found it to be great value for money! In fact, all the dishes tasted great! The service was also very friendly. I would also like to mention that the toilets were very clean and tidy! In short, we had a great experience here and will definitely be back!

It's a shame that it has deteriorated so much after all these years. Only the sushi is actually tasty. Otherwise, the meat comes straight from the freezer; the steak tastes like a thin slice of beef. The squid rings are fried so hard you almost break your jaw on them. The staff consists of two young girls who look like it's their first day of work. They don't know what they are serving and don't clear the table. When they put the dishes on the table, the place cards get stuck in between the food, and the food falls off the plate when they put it down. The tablet displays an anniversary offer without dates, claiming drinks are included. When paying, we are told that this is an advertisement for the future and that we should keep an eye on Facebook and the internet for it. It's a real shame because we used to love coming here. Definitely way too expensive for what you get.

Today, June 19, 2026, three of us dined at restaurant Kook: two adults and a 12-year-old child. I had read many positive reviews via Social Deal, which had made me enthusiastic about dining here. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The food did not seem fresh. The fish soup was served cold and lacked flavor. It was also noticeable that the soup spoon was damaged. Unfortunately, I did not take a photo of this, as it is not my habit to take pictures of such things during a restaurant visit. The service was friendly and correct, but not exceptional. Additionally, it was very hot inside, especially since it was about 33 degrees outside. We also noticed during dessert that the light above the spot where the dessert tongs hung was quite dusty. This did not give a neat and hygienic impression. It is a pity, because based on the positive reviews, we had expected more. Hopefully, these points will be taken into account for improvement.

All you can eat, but you don't have to leave your table. That is certainly the advantage of this concept where you order via tablet. Only the dessert is a buffet. The food is tasty and the portions are small, a kind of tapas. I don't think the young man was very enthusiastic about it, because clearing the table took a long time and he wasn't too cheerful. I found the dessert buffet a bit disappointing. Who knows, until next time.

The food at Kook Plus in Bergen op Zoom was alright, but nothing special. Most dishes were Asian, and the price felt too high for what you got.

Had a nice meal. For me, it could be a bit more cheerful. Lovely people, mind you, but very introverted.

Friendly staff, nice location. The food was slow to get going, but then picked up speed nicely. As a large group, we were given a secluded spot, which was nice for chatting and laughing together. Almost all the food was fried in oil and you could still taste the grease; very little was grilled. As a result, you got full quickly. As far as I'm concerned, the first drink should have been included. The system of ordering on a tablet and not having to search for and serve yourself is very nice.

A pleasant and accessible restaurant on the Grote Markt in Bergen op Zoom. They offer the well-known "all you can eat" formula. They have an extensive menu and a great selection of drinks. Friendly and professional service from attentive and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Do you want bad food? No quality? Then you should go there. Wow, what was that? The food was rubbish, poor quality. It was also very cold there; it's better to sit outside than inside... they skimp not only on their products but also on their gas... It was rubbish! I'm never going there again.

I have been a loyal customer at Kookplus for years, but my latest experience was really the last straw. The quality has deteriorated significantly: long wait times, smaller portions, and a menu that has become much more limited. Additionally, we were served cold food, and some dishes simply didn't arrive. When we brought this up, the response we received was that we had to “reorder it” — that is not what I call service. The staff also left much to be desired. Rude behavior, little respect for customers, and a total lack of professionalism. This made the experience even more disappointing. It is a real shame, because for years this was a place I enjoyed visiting. But after this experience, I will not be coming back here. The woman with the glasses (not Lea) and the woman with the short bob haircut urgently need to take a course in customer respect!!

We have been coming to Kookplus for years, but our last visit was truly disappointing. The service went completely wrong: dishes arrived late or not at all, and were also served to the wrong people, meaning some people didn't get their food. What we did receive was sometimes cold. Additionally, the staff was unfriendly and tended to argue rather than act in a solution-oriented manner. That really drags down the experience. It is a real shame, because this was always a place we enjoyed visiting. After this experience, we left disappointed. Quality and service here are clearly not what they once were; for us, this was unfortunately the last time.

Delicious food, but I don't understand why all the beef and chicken is halal. Can I still choose? There are some vegetarian options. The food is good, and the service is friendly. The online ordering system offers a fixed price and unlimited food. Parking garage exit ticket: €4.50. It's a shame the bill was completely wrong (almost twice as high), and we weren't the only ones where this happened. Perhaps it was my imagination, but after not tipping, saying goodbye seemed a little less friendly.

Great restaurant, guests can order very easily with a tablet. It was a bit tricky though, having to order based on a photo, and when they delivered it, you don't immediately recognize it as your order.

The room where we were seated was very cold. Unfortunately, most of the food was too. I understand they were understaffed. The woman with glasses didn't explain the tablet. It was just put down. The guy took off his shoes in our presence? He was nice enough, though. No glass with drinks. He wasn't attentive. Drinks took a long time to arrive. The dishes didn't arrive together. Everything felt unprofessional. Way too rushed. We were charged €44.50, so it was poor value for money. I wouldn't go there again, unfortunately, and they need to learn a lesson from their sister.

Beautiful restaurant with friendly service. The food was delicious. Large portions, served quickly, and truly delicious. Order via tablet, table service. Desserts are self-service except for the ice cream, which is scooped for you. Drinks not included. Highly recommended in the tapas/all-you-can-eat category. One of the better ones in terms of food quality.

A year later, we went back because our first experience was good. But what a change! More expensive and lower quality...so much so that I won't be going back a third time. The service is adequate, but the team clearly couldn't manage the crowds. The biggest letdown was the food and its quality. In the center of Bergen op Zoom, in a historic building, is this all-you-can-eat restaurant. The service was very friendly and helpful. Ordering is done via a tablet (one per table), and you can order again after fifteen minutes. For those who don't have the patience or time, this can be a challenge. We, however, thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu offers more than enough choices, but compared to other similar restaurants we've eaten at. Most importantly, all the dishes were delicious. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, Kookplus is really not what it used to be. Two rounds per person, you get mini portions, and you have to wait fifteen minutes before you can order again. The quality of the food isn't great either. I gave it another chance, but after today, I'm definitely leaving it for good.

Last night we had dinner with a friend. We combined it with a day at a wellness hotel in the area. Restaurant KOOK immediately caught our eye! It was a lovely restaurant! It was truly delicious; we thoroughly enjoyed it! Everything was fresh and crispy when brought to the table. The restaurant was clean, and the owner was very kind and hardworking. The staff were also very hospitable and hardworking. We'll be back soon. Greetings from Amsterdam to Bergen aan de Zoom.

We visited Kookplus on Monday evening and it was a very disappointing experience. The fried appetizers were extremely hard and soaked in oil, making them inedible. The staff was anything but friendly, especially when there was a problem with our Social Deal reservation. Although we were eventually allowed to stay, there was no warm welcome or apology for the inconvenience. As for the desserts, they were downright disappointing. Everything tasted old and as if it had been sitting open for hours. The small amount of fruit that was available was far from fresh, and when I asked if they could refill it, the answer was simply "no." Overall, we didn't enjoy our visit at all, especially considering it was much better three years ago. I wouldn't recommend Kookplus at this time. Sadly, we've lost five potential regular customers.

In a short time I went there for the second time with a group because the food was delicious. Towards the end I asked to put lukewarm water in a baby bottle to make milk, whereupon a young employee wanted to do this. The boss came back with the bottle and said that I had to buy a bottle of water so that she could heat it up. Really so sad and not customer friendly. We ended up paying 300 euros and they were too stingy to put some lukewarm water in a baby bottle. While their website states that children from 0 to 3 are free. I did end up paying this but I was so put off that we all stopped going. There must be places where the whole world doesn't matter about a few euros. For 3 euros extra you lose good customers.

Very bad experience, the food was good, but we had to wait more than half to an hour for each round, after checking every time where our food was, it finally arrived. From 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM we received 4 rounds, so 8 meals per person, we did not get everything and 2 drinks per person. Some dishes were also cold. In the end we left. The manager said not to come back because I did not want to pay the full amount. In any case, I will never go there again. Fortunately, we were not the only ones who complained to the manager and did not want to pay. NEVER AGAIN.

Had a nice evening yesterday. We were 8 people and had a delicious meal. The service was good and a wide choice. It is all freshly made so you have to wait a while for your food, but it is really worth it. All worth repeating for us.

Ate here again last night. This time we had a really bad meal. The meat was not medium fried, but fried/dry. The meat looked like rubber. The asparagus soup was really nasty. (really tasty last year) now the soup looked like water with a sour edge) no asparagus soup at all. I don't think it's fresh anymore either. I left it. My spoon was dirty, the remains of the predecessor were still on it. I was missing recipes on the menu. The supply is also becoming less and less and everything is in the sauce. It was really a disappointment. We have been coming here for years and have always had a good meal. And there are times when it's bad everywhere, but this was the epitome of poor quality. They won't see us again for the time being. It's a shame that such a good restaurant that was really great is declining so much.

A lot of reheated food from the microwave or something, nachos are tough, sushi is very watery/wet, meat is reasonable. But price quality is really not good. All in without drinks and then charge a lot for drinks. Too bad, because it is a nice place, the staff is friendly and the service is fast.

Pand is prachtig, personeel netjes en snel maar kwaliteit is slecht. Veel opgewarmd, magnetron, waterige sushi. Veel geld voor weinig kwaliteit en drinken is exclusief en daar vragen ze veel voor. Ons zien ze niet meer terug!

We used to enjoy eating here, but now that the ordering system has changed to 2 dishes per person per round and the waiting time between ordering has been extended to 15 minutes, it is no longer worth the money. You get 1/3 less for the same money under the guise of “too much food is thrown away”, but you now have to wait so long that your hunger goes away on its own. Service also very unfriendly. Too bad, this was the last time for us.
