Update following the owner's response: I am extremely surprised that you are twisting the situation in this way. At no point was there any disrespectful treatment towards your employees. The waitress took our order properly and served it properly, and we all thanked her kindly. I specifically asked for *you* (as manager) because part of the order was delayed; in response to my question, the waitress indicated that she had passed everything on to the kitchen exactly according to our wishes. The second time I asked for you was because the burnt meat had been served on the plate deliberately turned over. The only person with whom I discussed the problems and to whom I expressed my disappointment was you yourself as manager/owner. It was precisely because you dismissed the mistakes made twice with a laugh saying “it will be made right later” and subsequently served an incorrect dish for the second time, that the disappointment was great. The fact that you dismiss critical but calm feedback on your own performance as 'unpleasant' and 'disrespectful' to justify walking away does not reflect well on you as an entrepreneur and reflects a clear shortcoming in your business operations. I am leaving my original review below so that other guests can judge the actual state of affairs for themselves: "Below is the original review" Very unfortunate… We have been coming to eat at Közde for over 3.5 years now after a visit to Centrum Arnem. In the beginning, we felt the prices, atmosphere, and quality matched well. That is precisely why it is a shame to see how our experiences have changed over the past few years: smaller portions, increasingly higher prices, and constantly different serving staff. Today we came with three people. We ordered two pide and a kuzu platter. Along with that, we ordered potato slices from the menu for an extra charge. I had clearly indicated beforehand that I did not want bulgur with the kuzu and that everything had to be served at the same time, precisely because of a previous experience. Ten minutes later, the salads, mezzes, bread rolls, and drinks arrived first. Ten minutes after that, one pide arrived, and we had to wait again for the rest. I asked the manager to come over. He apologized and said with a laugh: “It will be made right later.” Five minutes later, my kuzu platter arrived. Part of the meat was burnt black, and the burnt portion had been placed on the floor. I called the manager over again. He apologized again and promised a new platter. Again, it was said: “It will be made right later.” Then the second pide arrived. About ten minutes later, my new kuzu platter arrived — with bulgur again, even though I had clearly indicated that I did not want it. For us, the disappointment was complete at that point. We left the second pide and about half of the platter untouched. We were offered two teas. Honestly, those were the best part of the entire visit. When it was time to pay, the manager saw me approaching and walked very politely to the terrace. I thought that was a shame. I would have preferred to say goodbye with a handshake and look each other straight in the eyes. I certainly would have wanted to tell him that I was disappointed while doing so. Mistakes can happen. Waiting times can happen. Burnt meat or a wrong order can happen. But how you handle such situations as an entrepreneur makes all the difference. I had expected more from an entrepreneur who presents his business as a restaurant: hospitality, responsibility, and genuine attention to the customer. Unfortunately, I missed that today. What a shame…

Unfortunately, that was a disappointment. We didn't enjoy the food. We tried many dishes, and the food ranged from mediocre to downright bad. It was far too under-seasoned, the portions were very small, yet the price was very high. It's simply too expensive for what you get. The price-performance ratio is unacceptable. Furthermore, the staff was inattentive, the table wasn't cleaned, and communication was poor. Everyone had already finished eating, and one person still hadn't received their food. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Normally, I am not quick to write a review, but this is the first time I have. About a year ago, I went here for dinner with my mother and ordered chicken wings. When I opened the chicken, I saw that there was still blood inside. I returned this to a staff member, but instead of making a new portion, the same chicken was cooked through again and returned to me. I found that absolutely unacceptable; with raw chicken, I expect a fresh portion. We left then and haven't been back for a year. A few days ago, we decided to give it one last try, but unfortunately, it didn't feel pleasant upon entering. The owner looked very arrogant, which didn't come across as welcoming. Fortunately, there was also a staff member who was very friendly. All in all, my experience was unfortunately not good. Customer service, hygiene, and well-prepared food are very important to me.

The food was not warm, the meat (lamb and chicken) was very dry and tough. There were hard pieces (cartilage) in the kebab. The service was good, but all in all, a waste of money.

Poor service, it really could be much better. Examples: - placing glasses and soft drinks at the head of the table, “you can hand them out yourselves” - “just clear some space in the middle of the table, the main course is coming.” There are quite a few more examples like that... The most important thing is that they have no idea how to clear or serve when there are small children/babies at the table. Trying to clear over the child, dropping a knife. Despite being told several times, the next person comes and leans over the baby again. Furthermore, the food wasn't special and actually tasteless. Communication isn't going very well either. I made a request for 2 pastries with 2 candles. We received 1 pastry with 1 candle and for the wrong person. All in all, a waste of money, but certainly also of time.

My favorite soup for breakfast is Beyran soup, it's really delicious. The staff are also very kind. They create a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

I go there quite often, but I notice that the quality is declining. The staff is super nice and helpful. However, during my visits three times in a row, the tenderloin was sold out, even though it wasn't that busy. This last time, I think I'll just try something else, a chicken burger. The burger bun itself was definitely not fresh. During busy times, things are often forgotten even though you ask for them several times. Or certain orders arrive way too late. There is work to be done.

Our experience at this establishment, which we chose for a Sunday buffet breakfast, was a complete disappointment. Upon entering, there was not a single staff member to greet or guide us. After waiting in line for a long time, we had to ask ourselves if there were any empty tables. The cashier reluctantly gave directions, practically giving the impression that they didn't want to help the customer. The seating areas were quite neglected and dirty. Many items on the buffet were missing serving spoons. When I wanted honey, I had to use the tongs used for tahini because there were no suitable serving utensils. Despite being a buffet, everything is expected of the customer; you get your own fork and knife, clean your own table, and try to serve yourself completely. However, the main problem was the almost complete lack of service. After we sat down at the table, not a single employee asked if we needed anything or checked if anything was missing. In contrast, the sudden appearance of staff when it was time to pay the bill was quite concerning. It gives the impression that only collection is important, not customer satisfaction. I had experienced a similar situation on previous visits as well. In particular, a female employee with blonde hair displayed an extremely cold, indifferent, and rude attitude. Far from smiling, she acted as if you were a nuisance, making you feel unwanted. It's unacceptable for a business to make its customers regret visiting instead of satisfying them. In short, due to inadequate service, indifferent staff, and lack of hygiene and organization, I absolutely do not recommend this establishment. You don't get your money's worth; you feel like a burden, not a customer. I would advise those going for the first time to keep their expectations low.

Yesterday, my family of four and I dined at Kozde restaurant for the first time. I found the service and customer friendliness mediocre. We arrived around 6 p.m. We ordered ribeye, but 10 minutes later we were told it was sold out!? No alternative was offered, but we were told to look for something else. Next, we ordered tenderloin, served with bulgur. This was tasteless and not fresh! There was very little meat, 100 grams per portion, price 39 euros! It made no sense. The mushroom sauce was a ready-made sauce and there wasn't a single grilled mushroom to be seen on the plate. What a shame! The service was anything but professional. Unfortunately, not worth repeating!!

Visited Kozde for the first time as a Rotterdam native! Been to many Turkish restaurants in South Holland, but this surpasses them! What delicious, authentic Turkish flavors! The findik lahmacun, the adana, kuzu sis, and pide were absolutely delicious! And of course, top-notch service! Thank you, Team Kozde, you will see us back often.
