Delicious food, very hospitable

We had fantastic tapas on December 19th. Lots of different dishes/appetizers, and the chef even brought extra shrimp skewers and fried mussels. Delicious Turkish bread. Highly recommended... we booked through Social Deal. Friendly waiter. We had a pleasant evening.

We recently went out for dinner through a social deal, and the three-course menu was perfect, and even better! We thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a delicious meal there. There were options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is cozy, housed in a beautiful old building, and the music was great.

Really good food! They're right at your table! Really delicious food! The price is great. We ate here through a social deal, and it was more than worth the money.

Upon entering, we noticed it was quite cold inside. We hoped it would warm up over time, but unfortunately, it didn't. We were a group of seven. Except for the chicken and pizza dishes, the other meat dishes were mediocre. The köfte was too tough, and the other meat wasn't tender; you really had to work hard to eat it. The restaurant doesn't have its own parking. The service was friendly. We had expected more beforehand.

I ordered a steak here. The steaks were undercooked and there wasn't enough of them. Roasted eggplant was served with the steak, but the eggplant was only lightly roasted. Three stars is even too many.

Nice terrace, comfortable chairs. But man, how can a place like this run with such bad food and absolutely terrible wine? The wine smelled stale and looked like it came from a cardboard box. I really don't understand.

We had a delicious meal at this Turkish restaurant tonight. I highly recommend the mixed grill platter. The staff was friendly and courteous. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and were given an explanation of the appetizers at the table. We will definitely be back.

The terrace is beautifully situated on the recently renovated Rijnkade, and it is lovely when the sun shines. We had some kind of Turkish Tapas. That was fine to take. The food and surroundings were fine. However, I was less pleased with the service. I thought it was just me, but other reviews give somewhat the same picture. It all felt a bit distant and very businesslike.

There is also a *beautiful view of the river*, which rounds off the atmosphere perfectly. The *ambience is also pleasant and stylish*, so you immediately feel at home. The staff was *very friendly, attentive and warm* – the overall package is just right here! I *highly recommend* this restaurant and will definitely come back. If you want to enjoy Turkish cuisine at a high level, this is the right place for you!

Eaten here before, years ago. It was very disappointing. Appetizer mushrooms with onion and pepper. Altogether 6 slices of mushroom and unfortunately cold. We had to ask for main course lukewarm ice cream with pathetic spray can of whipped cream. Too few staff. Had to wait 45 minutes for drinks, when paying the bill turned out to be 1 trippel too much. Halfway through, due to dusk, a very large lamp was placed on the table, so I could no longer see my partner. The excuse was that the terrace had been opened again for the first time today.

Pleasantly surprised! Really delicious food. Meat was well grilled and seasoned, salad and fruit were fresh and the baklava was delicious. We ate inside, nice place, good atmosphere and friendly service. Later we had coffee outside on the terrace, and the heater was immediately turned on for us. Definitely worth repeating

We had booked a 3-course menu through Social Deal. Reviews on SD were pretty okay until I read them here. We came to this restaurant with a gut feeling, but we really enjoyed our meal. Ordered bread in advance and this was very tasty bread, not hard as I read in a review, but really nice and warm and soft. Not with the cucumber yogurt sauce mentioned on the menu, but with a delicious garlic sauce. Calamaris starter was absolutely not greasy and tasted delicious. The dough rolls filled with cheese were also tasty. After reading the reviews here on Google, we did not dare to choose the meat, so we ordered a pizza with tuna. I don't think this is on the menu on the website? But you can order via SD. We absolutely did not regret this! Normally I'm not a fan of a tuna pizza (often very dry) but this was delicious!! Best tuna pizza we have ever eaten. We each only had half, because we had already eaten so much bread beforehand and asked if we could take it with us. This was no problem and no additional costs were charged. Ice cream dessert with chocolate sauce was not chocolate sauce but a kind of fruit sauce, but very tasty. I don't think baklava was homemade, but bought, and was a bit dry. Coffee and Turkish tea also okay! In short, we had a delicious meal here and would love to come back again. Side note; Owner (at least I think so) is not very friendly, a bit surly. Gave several compliments, but that did not change his attitude. English speaking employee, was very friendly. It was also not too warm in the restaurant, so I put on a scarf from my jacket.

We didn't think the service was good. We didn't feel welcome, which is actually quite bizarre. Half of the food was undercooked and the meat was not tasty. There was quite a bit left on our plates, so I asked if we could take the leftovers for our dog. They charged €2 in packing costs.

Mixed feelings about this restaurant. Pro's - We got a basket of bread with delicious garlic sauce on the house, which was attentive. No's - The owner gave me a little bit the creeps. In the end I could get a smile off his face but I had to make some very universially true jokes and compliments to make it happen. Replacing the owner with a more friendly face at first entry point would be nice. - Food in our case tastes good but was on the higher end. It was thanks to the basket of bread we got our stumach full with 1 drink each person, an appetizer & mixed main course (shared by 2 people as we are not the biggest of eaters) - Ambiance: I do not know what those LED strips in my face flashing all colors of the rainbow would add in ambiance, but for the love of Allah, remove them. In addition, swim diploma's of your grandchildren? Sweet but unprofessional. - Toilet: Whoever made this arrangement should be fired. My god how inconvenient it is to pee in the uriniour in the men's corner. Thats just... it would hit Facebook build fails for sure. - Price: I wonder why an Irish coffee has to be costing 8.10 but a Turkish coffee only 3.95, Some of the prices seem excessive. All in all, mixed feelings about this restaurant but I do think its going to be a one-time try only unless they really make a sizeable overhaul a la Gordon Ramsey style saving restaurants from the brink of collapse.

Unexpectedly nice place to stay. Well received, pleasant, friendly and attentive service. Tasty food, very good price-quality ratio. (despite Groupon benefits). Good diversity, highly recommended.

Meat is tender and excellently marinated. Portions of vegetables are small. A nice salad just goes with the dish! Therefore -1 star. Service is great. But come back for the atmosphere, and service, and the seasoned meat.

The food was very tasty, 5 stars for that. Unfortunately the rest was a bit less, service did what had to be done, but that's about it. It was not very pleasant that we felt like we were the only ones for the first half hour. Now a restaurant cannot always do the same, but a little music in the background could make a difference. Next time I would first take a good look inside to see if there are several tables filled before I walk in myself.

When the work on the Rijnkade is finally completed, this will be a fantastic location for a restaurant. But my experience was less. All the people were smoking outside on the terrace, so I sat inside. The interior is very over the top, they should have installed simpler furniture, so that there was budget for a good chef. Because whoever is in the kitchen is certainly doing their best, but it wasn't good. If you have to pay 29.95 for lamb chops, you expect fresh meat that is cooked in such a way that it almost falls off the bone. But not the dark, tough pieces like your neighbor gets from the BBQ. The vegetables and salad were fresh, the couscous warmed up in the microwave. Baklava for dessert, which I think also came from the microwave, was missing the walnuts. All in all I thought it was a disappointing experience. I hope this is not representative of real Turkish cuisine. It was very dark inside, the non-Dutch speaking waiter had to use the card reader to read the bill.

What poor and unfriendly service. It was Wednesday afternoon and we were the only customers, sitting on the terrace. The owner himself could not be friendly for a moment. Women were not answered or looked at, completely ignored. The waitress was very friendly. Dishes served did not match the description on the menu. It's a shame to fill up this beautiful spot on the Rhine.

Unfortunately the food had little taste, the steak (bavette) was decent but no grilled taste, the mushroom sauce had no taste, the bulgur was dry and the salad had brown pieces in it, and the cocktail contained a fruit fly. The service was good. Unfortunately, this was a one-off for me.

We had dinner here with a group. A wrong decision because you don't get value for your money. The food was tasteless and not good. The service at the table was chaotic, so the entire table was full and you couldn't reach anything properly. We had to arrange the table ourselves. I don't think this is nice if you are with a group. The food is placed randomly somewhere on the table. We ordered a mix grill where you would get multiple types of meat. A skewer was 80% filled with vegetables and there were literally 2 pieces of meat on it. Criticism is not really taken up by the staff.

Well located overlooking the river, had the hot and cold combo appetizer and was disgraceful both in taste and quantity ( 1 hot and 6 cold) . Waiters are not attentive and argue between each other. A place not to return definitely.

just came here to have a drink, there were several tables free, but I was asked to sit somewhere else because people were coming to eat. while there were still tables available in front of, behind and next to me (three quarters of the terrace was empty). he said I could stay for half an hour to drink my tea, then I had to leave. no other table selected for me, nothing. felt very unwelcome and found it incredibly rude.

Meat was tasteless and texture is clearly visible that it is not fresh. Mr had difficulty with feedback and taking the food back. It is special that you persistently stick to your position. You don't have to be an expert to see that the meat was not fresh. This can make you sick, which is scandalous.

However, the bread was a bit of a letdown as it wasn’t fresh and seemed not to be from the day. Pricing was reasonable, but we encountered a hiccup with payment as they do not support Visa, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, it’s a solid choice for Turkish cuisine with a few areas that could use improvement.

The food is quite okay. The service can be better. When paying, I had to come back because they added too many drinks to the bill. Unfortunately, they just have sugar, and no sweeteners for coffee.

Troya Arnhem big flop restaurant! What an incredibly bad experience we had in this restaurant called Troya Arnhem. It calls itself a Turkish restaurant and that is a gross insult to Turkish cuisine. As a starter we had mushrooms in a kind of sauce that looked good on the photo of the menu, but in real life it was a big disappointment. The fried squid rings were too oily, but we could have them because we were very hungry. The tavuk si's (chicken skewers) were far from what we were used to and were tasteless and the well-known grilled taste was not there either. The layout of the plate with canned sauce and canned vegetables was dismal. The epitome of misery was the adana kebab which was smelly, strangely red and tasted terrible. We were not able to take any follow-up bites here because this was not responsible. When we told the waiter this, he shrugged his shoulders and continued his activity. There we were, looking forward to dinner on the terrace on the Rhine. The only thing that tasted was the cold coke from a bottle. When I informed the manager at our table about the poor, non-Turkish food (which we expected), he became irritated and said that he had no complaints about the adana kebab and that I should not complain. Not a single move at the checkout to compensate for our bad experience. In fact; we also had to receive insults. Rude and insolent. Paid 77 euros tuition fee. People, I warn you. I did not read the reviews of this terrible restaurant in advance, which resulted in this bad experience. So my advice is not to go. Run through. Atmosphere and service were excellent. The mixed maze was very poor. After consuming the 1 person mixed grill, immediate stomach and intestinal complaints. If you want to spend the whole evening on the toilet, I recommend this tent.

Had dinner on the terrace on a warm Saturday. Tasted good. Owner asked if we wanted fries with it. We wanted that, but then it was forgotten. When we asked about it, it was brought much later. Fries looked good, but were limp. The rest of the food was good.

Mixed Turkish snacks as a starter, which includes a few bowls of supermarket salad with 1 calamari ring, 1 chicken nugget and 1 mini spring roll. Then ordered chicken and seasoned minced meat but received lamb and seasoned minced meat. Lamb returned so we both ate separately. Later the chicken arrived, which turned out to be dry and tough. Skipped dessert because nothing had been really tasty so far. By far worst Turkish restaurant in the region.

Very bad experience with this tent. Staff is grumpy and customer unfriendly. Had to wait an hour and a half for the food because they forgot about us. Food not served as described and they simply say sorry, it's gone. No understanding at all of service and how to deal with customers. Never again for us!!!

It's really unbelievable how good the food tastes here, every time I drive around 150 km in the Netherlands, I always like to come here, the food is very tasty, the service and the way they serve us is A1, really recommended whoever comes has really good ones The time, the location is great and enjoying a portion of baklava at the end is really the best thing you've ever eaten. All I can say is that I will always come here and have a great time. 😌

We had dinner here on a Saturday evening and we were able to go without a reservation. Very nice staff who are interested and friendly. We enjoyed a self-composed three-course menu, with a wide choice and vegetarian options on the menu. The chicken dishes were served strung on a large steak needle. Also wide choice on the dessert menu. At the back of the menu there is an allergy card, which more restaurants in the Netherlands should have. The shop is not large, but it does have a terrace in front of the door and is located directly on the Rhine.

Ate here a while back. I think you have "2 owners" because one is very friendly to him, 2 stars, the other is very unfriendly. We had 2 dishes from another table on our order when I said during checkout that the final amount was incorrect, which looked crooked to me. Then he checked it and it turned out that the food from another table had been booked on my receipt. Not even a sorry or apology. Retarded guy. The other one did apologize. Not to be repeated.

Cozy Turkish restaurant with friendly service and delicious food.

Decency for food and reverse for service. The food was good and tasty, the flavors were eccentric at best, but also noticeable at worst, so a solid adventure for your tastebuds. Sadly the staff was very unreliable, unreceptive. I came I. Early for a reservation and wasn’t allowed to wait inside, said staff was calling there family while cleaning and denying my entry. The staff itself was sadly unable to understand Dutch or basic English which made me and the people around me feel a bit unwelcome. All and all the food is exquisite, but the staff compensaties it downwards in the and for a balanced experience.

This restaurant's service was horrible. My request for a medium-rare steak was completely disregarded by the inattentive staff. Despite my specific inquiry, they assured me it was cooked as requested, but what arrived was an overcooked disaster, far from the medium-rare quality promised. It's a total disgrace. Furthermore, the "mercimek" soup was clearly heated in the microwave. I strongly recommend steering clear of this establishment.

Not a good experience with this restaurant. Had to wait a very long time because our order was lost. The dishes were tasty, but not exactly served hot and quite sparse/boring for the price you pay. The waiter apologized for the delay and asked if we wanted something to drink with dessert, but the ordered coffee and tea turned out to have to be paid for afterwards.

beautifully situated next to the Lower Rhine, but very poor service (despite the place not being very busy) and bland, questionable food. we only ate half of our (mayonnaise-based?) meze-platter after waiting for a good half an hour to get a refill on bread and drinks - and an argument with the waiter??
