La Casa in Wijk 01 Centrum

We had a fantastic meal (rump steak with mushroom cream sauce and pork tenderloin with gorgonzola sauce) with red lambrusco and dessert. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was quick. They even catered to our plans for the theatre. We will definitely be back.

The pizzas are very generously topped. The crust is excellent. The service is great, very friendly.

Birthday dinner turned out to be a long wait for food. Groep 14 pers. Including 3 kids… With reservation upfront, all the other tables got served and even left ! before our table even got the first plate, no apologies, not even some extra bread or something on the house. Almost 2 hrs waiting and took up to 45 min to serve everyone for food ! Food was nothing special though, they don’t organised at all and short on waiters also. We most definitely will never go back and don’t recommend this place

We had a delicious meal at Lacasa. The atmosphere is cozy, and the interior is spacious, so you're not sitting on each other's laps. Sometimes we have to wait a little longer due to staff shortages, but who cares, you're out for dinner and not at a fast-food restaurant. Friendly staff and a cheerful owner. Definitely recommended.

The food is always delicious. Unfortunately, it takes far too long to arrive, which is especially frustrating if you arrive extra early with children. At the same time, you see one takeout order after another leaving the restaurant. The long wait is very disappointing and makes the food, despite being delicious, a frustrating experience.

Tonight we had a great meal at this restaurant. The food was very tasty and the service was certainly friendly. The service time was fine between courses. The only point for improvement is perhaps the atmosphere. When it is full it is a bit noisy.

The owner is incredibly friendly and involved, which immediately ensures a warm welcome. The staff is also great, especially the brunette with long hair: what a great person! I am a regular customer at La Case and I love all the Italian dishes they offer. Last week, I invited a group of friends to La Casa. They were all happy and loved the meal. Excellent service, fantastic meal and lovely atmosphere. 2025 Update: The food is delicious, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent service. I recommend you to try their food when in Purmerend!

Normally I only write reviews where I am positively surprised. A negative review can mean a lot of disadvantage for the operator and is often a snapshot, but this visit makes an exception. This is really downright the worst Pizzaria that exists in the Netherlands. Weak pizzas that you have to wait more than 45 minutes for because the people who order pizzas to pick up go first. In addition to the abysmally bad pizzas, the ambiance is also something to write home about. The space looks more like a noisy clubhouse than a restaurant. In short, please go "eat somewhere else", this is really nothing more than a food bar.

pizza has a nice thin base, crispy with a light crust that is easy to bite through and little fat. very reminiscent of the pizzas you encounter in Italy

The food is always good!! Doesn't matter if it's pizza or pasta. People are friendly It's missing a little bit of atmosphere/intimacy. But when you are in good company you won't notice 😉

I stopped by for a quick pizza one day when I was very hungry. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice, I didn't like their pizza. Maybe I can be very picky about Italian pizza now. 🥹

I must say that the atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit lacking. No appearance that it is a restaurant. The space is too large compared to the tables placed there. The food was tasty. But the speed of service and other services is shocking. The dirty plates were on our table for more than half an hour. Ordering dessert was not possible because people did not come by. Customers walked away from 2 tables because they were not being served. Ultimately we also left because of the service. In short, customers walking away is killing your business. They will have to take steps. I think it should be easy to serve 26 people with 2 servers.

Me and my daughter had a delicious meal here. A real gem in the Peperstraat. We will definitely come here again and highly recommend it.

Many La Casa restaurants here and unfortunately, this one was not great. I had big expectations because of the reviews, but the ‘large shrimp’ that was supposed to come with my pasta were tiny frozen shrimps. The other La Casa had huge shrimps. Very disappointing. In addition, the tagliatelle was overcooked and mushy! The bolognese sauce had a minty taste to it and the Parmesan cheese was crispy. Would have been great to have freshly grated cheese on our plates. Wish we had a better experience for the price we paid.

Had to wait more than 80 minutes before the food was ready. In this case it was 5 pizzas. 1000 x apologies but still strange. Was busy with telephone orders, was the answer after some questions why it took so long, so you have to indicate that you have to be at the De Purmeryn theater on time. Separate service approach.

I have had a delicious meal here twice before. It was also very tasty the third time. Only after the main course we waited almost an hour until the plates were cleared and we were offered desserts/drinks. Eventually no one came by anymore and we left. Pity.

Boutros and his people provide delicious food. The pizzas are excellent. We always take something different from the other dishes. Surprising and fresh stuff. I recently ate at the restaurant with my grandchild. Children were treated as guests by the ladies. Experience for young and old.

Ate there yesterday. I think the meat had been on the grill all day. Bone dry and rock hard. You expect more from a restaurant with 4 stars. I'll skip this next time.

This place is spacious compared to most restaurants in the Netherlands. Service was great, we interacted with 3 different people and they were all kind. Food was delicious and portions are very generous.

We won't say this much, but we had such a bad meal here! The starter was decent, I had mussels, with lots of vegetables, my mad had mushrooms, which were quite tasty, with lots of vegetables too! For the main course I had shrimp in white wine sous, they were impossible to peel, not tasty at all, the fries were very greasy, not tasty either! My husband had squid rings, where you only tasted fattiness, no taste of squid, you tasted something chewy! He also had fries, which he didn't like either! It was a while ago that we ate here, it was delicious, maybe if you want to eat pizza it's good here, but we won't come here again! Pass it on to the chef and you'll get a glass of limoncello and that's it!

Het eten was heerlijk vooral de pizza tonijn en de spaghetti carbonara. De bediening was perfect vriendelijk en erg sociaal.

De beste Italiaan van Purmerend en omstreken en dat is het al jaren. Heerlijk, vanavond gaan we er weer heen. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en het restaurant ziet er netjes, schoon en gezellig uit.

We saw 3 tables in front of us get up and leave, we also got up and left at 1.45 am, orders from outside are given priority over guests inside. Very bad thing. NEVER AGAIN!

Pizza was dry, with WAY TOO MUCH cheese without a particular taste of the ingredients- even a frozen pizza from a grocery store would be better. Honestly, maybe we got there in a wrong hour but that was the impression.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the waitresses are very nice, but the meal took almost an hour even though the restaurant was actually empty. The food (3x pizza & 1x rigatoni al forno) lacked salt, but was filled with excess garlic. The rigatoni most of all. All in all it was ok, but I wouldn't order it that way again or would definitely say that the garlic should be left out (although we all otherwise like to eat some).

We come here regularly. The food is of a very high quality. Very friendly and hardworking staff. It is also nice that the decoration of the restaurant has become a bit more intimate by placing tall plants/flower boxes.

Pizza Margherita with tons of garlic on it - no fun

Not the most attractive restaurant but that is not such a disaster, what has been a disaster for months is the lack of working staff. A full tent with 1 girl serving is really not possible, it takes a long time before orders are taken and delivered and that for prices that must be extremely high but certainly not low, if you have a strong appetite / don't feel like dining for 2 hours I do not recommend this restaurant. A shame because the food is great 👍

Had dinner here with the family on my birthday. The meat dishes were delicious and tender with delicious sauces. The lasagna was fresh and deliciously creamy. And our little one really enjoyed his Pizza Bambino, which the chef had made in the shape of a rabbit. Finished off with delicious home-made tiramisu. We had to wait a little longer for the food due to a busy evening, but the cozy atmosphere near the open kitchen where pizza dough was occasionally thrown into the air or where our little one got something tasty to snack on made it no problem. In short, highly recommended!

Pizza was good but not really special. Have a far too extensive menu. This always gives me the idea that everything has to come from the freezer because a restaurant cannot have so many fresh products.

Ate at their new restaurant for the first time and the food is still fantastic! The pasta dishes are very good and the pizzas excellent. The points of attention; When we came in we were not helped and we walked to the bar ourselves to report that we had made a reservation. It was also very busy at that time and there was only 1 waitress and 1 person behind the bar. In these times of staff shortages, we understand this. Furthermore, it took a very long time for us to receive our food. What I personally think is a shame is that the cozy atmosphere of the old restaurant can no longer be found in the new location. It is one large bare room with tables and the decoration is very sparse. We will probably come back again for dinner, but we will have a nice meal somewhere else.

Een pizzeria met niet lekkere pizza's, ja het bestaat. Hier namelijk. Pizza was niet goed gaar, rauwe ui er op. Salde met vieze dressing ipv lekkere olie. Bediening niet echt gezellig.

3 stars for the service. Only after an hour and a half of waiting did we receive our starter... The pasta misto (Italian sausages) was a real disappointment... The entire sausage dish was cold, to the point of frozen. This is not freshly cut, so if you had taken it out of the refrigerator/freezer beforehand, it could still be cleaned. We didn't eat the main course either. They asked if we wanted to take it with us, but that really wasn't necessary. We both had pasta, but my pasta carbonara tasted like shrimp. Really didn't taste like pasta carbonara. I suspect, but I'm not sure, that "my" pasta comes from the same pan of someone else who had ordered carbonara that was not pasta. The wine was great (Chianta). The service was great. Sweet girl and with 20 tables to serve (when we still hadn't had a starter there were only 8 tables) and only 2 people in the kitchen you can't expect more. All in all, 3 stars for the service, but I would have preferred 2.5. We never saw a desert map (which we had asked for in advance), so we just went. We'll never come here again.
