Great restaurant. The food is served quickly and the staff is friendly.

Service and customer friendliness are nowhere to be found. Customer friendliness is also nowhere to be found with the manager/owner. All in all, a lousy place we won't be visiting again.

We had a lovely time wrapping up the holiday together. Tonight, more people felt the same way. It was quite busy. We had to wait a bit for a table and there were some minor startup issues (an app that wasn't working), but once we were able to order, we had a delicious meal again, just as we've come to expect from them. The girls upstairs worked their socks off. They handled the busy period very well. We would love to come back!

Very small portions, tasteless food, over-fried (everything greasy and rock-hard), wrong dishes (we hadn't ordered them), forgotten dishes (had to ask for them up to 3 times), soulless service and curt service (the wait staff worked very hard but served all tables alone); in short: we missed food made with love. Next time, we would gladly return to IJzer en Wonders; the food there is delicious and the service and atmosphere are warm! And if we want good tapas, we will go to a good Spanish restaurant, never again to this "tapas factory".

We had a lovely dinner with two families, but above all, the food was delicious. A young, enthusiastic team that serves you in a super friendly way. We indicated at the beginning that we wanted to make use of the complete Cuba package; something went wrong with that, but the bill was adjusted immediately. Special shout-out to Dylan from the kitchen, who always comes over to ask us after his shift if it was good.

Unfortunately, a bad experience. We had made a reservation. We stood waiting at the cashier for a few minutes until someone even spoke to us. Presumably due to understaffing, the staff avoided any contact with us. Eventually, the manager came over to us; no table was reserved, but we could choose a free table ourselves. We waited there for 15 minutes, and no one came to us... We had a feeling it wasn't going to be a pleasant evening here. At La Brocca afterwards, we were very warmly welcomed, received very attentive service, and had a delicious meal. Thanks to that, we had a nice evening after all.

What a terrible experience today! Had to wait over 1.5 hours for the first round, which you almost have to go get yourself inside after asking 3 times what exactly to do—I think everything went wrong—and constantly saying it was busy is a poor excuse when the terrace is half-filled, and the inside and upstairs are also half-filled. Eventually, we got up after 2 hours, hungry with 3 children. I mentioned that my daughter even had a stomach ache from hunger, to which the response was very nonchalant: "I understand it's annoying, you just have to pay for your drinks." I did that properly, mind you, but I personally offered my apologies as compensation and settled for 2 waters and 1 cola. Never again in Heerhugowaard for us! Because even after asking for the umpteenth time where things were, I was told it's all sold out. I asked why this wasn't mentioned at the table, and the answer you get is "I have no idea." At other La Cubanitas, they do communicate and you can choose something else. The end result: a child leaving with a stomach ache and crying from hunger, a small child who was grumpy from hunger and another child who was also grumpy from hunger; let’s not forget 2 adults who weren't even hungry anymore because of all this! I would not recommend anyone go here.

The requests made with the reservation were not implemented. Customer service is poor. Waitresses are abrupt or just slam your order on the table. At the end, another sour surprise: 2x Fristi falls outside the package if you give it to your 2-year-old child. So we had to pay extra for that. The food is not of such quality that you would want to pay the current high price for it.

This is definitely one of the better Cubanitas in the Netherlands where I have eaten; the service was very prompt and the ladies worked incredibly hard. The food was just really good, even by Cubanita standards. Kudos to the team and definitely worth a repeat visit.

The food is tasty, but if you are with a large group, you have to pay close attention to ensure you receive all the dishes. We had to ask a few times where things were.

Beautiful and easily accessible location, plenty of parking nearby, delicious food, nice new menu!!! Highly recommended: the breaded salmon, ordered it 3 times and prepared perfectly every time!!! The Cuban cigar dessert is quirky: a cookie roll filled with pastry cream and an ash cone of crumbled Oreo, served in, yes indeed, an ashtray!!! In short, well worth a visit.

First time in Heerhugowaard, but also the last. Had to wait a little while for our drinks; oh well, that can happen, but they did give a polite apology for taking a bit longer. I had ordered a cold dish and found it very filling, so I placed it nicely next to my drink to smoke a cigarette. When we came back, our entire table had been cleared; we had only been sitting for an hour, no cutlery, no plates, and yes, my cold dish had been taken away too. Got the dish from round 1 at round 5? All you can eat tapas, with a bit extra including cocktails. A no-brainer, the food is very good, but the cocktails I think are a bit too low on the alcohol, but that doesn't surprise me based on the very small price extra. But the concept is a recipe for disaster in time management. You can each order two dishes every ten minutes, so you basically order 2 dishes every ten minutes. The waiting time for the dishes to come to the table varied for us between five and twenty five minutes. We were in a 7 size group, so at some point you don't remember what is still coming, what you already have gotten, who gets what, etc. Total chaos. Also, when you finally order desserts, you will get more dishes after you have already eaten the desserts. And then they charge you extra when you can't eat what you have ordered. So they basically make you pay for their self created chaos. Therefore very low score on service. But the waiters are working very hard to keep up, maintain a good attitude and the score for the waiters should be 5 stars! The atmosphere is otherwise nice, not much noise and you can even play boardgames while eating and drinking the whole evening.

Delicious tapas, at least as we Dutch people know tapas. My Spanish friend would smack me if I called it tapas, saying, "Great little dishes with a cozy atmosphere and music." That said, this particular location of La Cubanita is very refined. The staff is cheerful and helpful when you have a question. I'd say keep up the good work, and greetings to the (presumably the manager, the man with a lot of authority, but a little less hair than the average, who brought us two mango nogwates (!) cocktails), and yes, the mango maitai was very tasty (also found in the bottom right corner of the left cocktail tray). Highly recommended!

One of us forgot our reading glasses, but they have a supply of them in various strengths. Excellent service! This restaurant is definitely recommended. Parking here is also very easy. The parking garage is located underneath, is open until 1:00 AM, and is very affordable. We will definitely be back.

A place where you feel welcome. A pleasant and open atmosphere as soon as you enter. Beautiful and warm decor. The service is good, with friendly and cheerful staff who genuinely want to serve you the best. The food is always excellent, of course. A wide selection with great flavor combinations. It's great that you can choose in rounds of tapas and share everything. This way, you can practically taste everything on the menu. A great mix of meat and fish dishes, both hot and cold. And with lacubanita completa, you can enjoy the entire menu. With great drinks or a cocktail. And then find that spot for dessert. Because those are also excellent and, just like the tapas, you can share. You'll feel like you're in the Spanish sunshine for a few hours in the restaurant.

The food here is always delicious and cozy. Good service and nice music. We've been coming here happily for years. See you soon!

Even ordering your drink through an app. Not my style.

We loved the food and tried a lot of things. The only problem we encountered was the cold. Apparently, there was an open vent upstairs (for the kitchen), which created an unpleasant "wind." They turned up the heat, but it didn't make much difference. We weren't the only ones; a man was eating behind us in his coat! It was a cold evening, but that should have been taken into account. Otherwise, everything, including the service, was absolutely excellent!

We ate here for Christmas. We made a reservation for 8 people in September, and this week they called us to ask if we were still coming, even though we were still 8 people. Once there, we were dumped upstairs at a table for 6, where chairs were quickly brought in. We then had to ask twice for extra plates ourselves, as the table was only set for 6. I immediately filed a complaint, but they supposedly didn't have room for 8, even though we clearly had a reservation. We also had to wait an hour for some dishes. Then, after a very long time, someone came over to discuss our complaint, and when the guests next to us left, they said we could sit at their table because it was larger, and we could stay longer. Well, that's helpful when they finish around the same time. My mother (almost 83) mentioned when paying that she had difficulty with the stairs. She should mention it when making the reservation next time, as if something is being looked into when making the reservation. There will definitely be no next time, and it's very clear that this is a case of mass is cash.

We went here last night with six people, one of whom wasn't allowed to eat much. We asked if it was possible to adjust something for that. We called the manager, but we had to pay the full price for this person. We couldn't order individual tapas for her. But what do I read on the website: "I've had gastric bypass surgery. Do you have special rates for this?" We don't have special rates. However, it is possible, in consultation with the restaurant, to request smaller portions so you can still enjoy more tapas. We also offer a selection of our tapas dishes on a drinks menu. From this menu, you can order individual tapas for €3.75 per dish. This wasn't up for discussion yesterday, so we left after trying to pay for three cocktails and one cola, but the manager said, "Just leave the drinks!" We had a wonderful meal elsewhere without any problems!

Cheesecake was pretty alright and it has a cozy atmosphere at night! Also had mocktails with my friends, I’m not a mocktail type of girl but I think it was pretty alright for the price and taste wise! Would recommend for a night out :)

La Cubanita in Heerhugowaard is an absolute must! The atmosphere is always cozy and lively, perfect for a night out with friends or family. The staff is super friendly and attentive; I even received some exclusive La Cubanita merchandise, all for free! The tapas are delicious and varied. There's something for everyone, and the price-quality ratio is excellent. The cocktails are definitely worth trying too! In short, a fantastic place for a fun and delicious evening. 5 stars well deserved!

I had a party with colleagues, and there were 16 of us at a table, which was very cramped. The service was terrible, even if you had a question about the QR code, the answer was poor. Not all phones support the website. The food took a long time to arrive. My tip: take tablets or notes; it's 10x faster and more efficient. The food was good, sometimes cold, but the taste was good. I enjoyed myself.

The atmosphere isn't as good as it was in the old building. The new one feels more like a massive all-you-can-eat joint, too loud and crowded. The staff are friendly, though.

We ate here last Monday, a weekday, with about six tables occupied. Despite it being quiet, quite a few things went wrong. We received duplicate dishes, sometimes dishes we ordered weren't, and we also received dishes we hadn't ordered. At one point, we asked for a dish we'd already had to take back, and the man said, "Well, I find that very strange, because the kitchen only took this order five minutes ago..." While we'd already ordered 35 minutes ago. What does a kitchen do all that time when you only have six tables? It must be a real nightmare on the weekend. Another thing: my husband can't stand salmon skin. So he asked if the salmon was cooked on the skin. "No, of course not, it's fillet, which is never cooked on the skin!" was the indignant reply. The salmon fillet arrived, and sure enough, on the skin. So he addressed the waiter, and the answer we got was, "Oh, I thought you meant bones." They really have no idea what they're serving. And the quality of the dishes is also really not what it used to be. Take the garlic shrimp. Instead of garlic, they throw on a dollop of pesto, which isn't garlic! The flavors were all meh, meh. We We had the completa, which included drinks. And despite the limited number of tables, it was very difficult to get the staff's attention to order drinks. Perhaps that's part of the business model, but it's not customer-friendly. It's not one of the most expensive restaurants, but it's still not worth the price, especially with all the competing all-you-can-eat options nearby. We won't be returning, and we'll drive a bit further (because many restaurants are closed on Mondays).

I had some reservations beforehand after experiences at other locations years ago, but after being here twice in a short time, I can say it's simply excellent, especially for the price. Delicious dishes, a nice atmosphere, and friendly service.

We went here for the second time. The first time was really good, but not this time. The food was lukewarm, and some of it was impossible to order. Portions varied greatly, even when ordering the same thing.

This time we ate upstairs, and there were two waitresses. They had trouble getting the orders to the various tables quickly. One waitress fixed her hair a few times and then continued serving. Not very hygienic. The welcome and farewell downstairs could also be a bit more customer-friendly.

Ro.melig had to wait a long time for orders; some in the group had already had 3 or 4 dishes, and the first one was served before the others. The food tasted good to excellent, except for the squid rings, which were tough and impossible to chew.

After more than 3.5 years, I recently returned to the "new" location in HHW. The communication beforehand was super professional and friendly. The welcome was just as friendly. Ultimately, we were well served by incredibly friendly staff. The quality of the food has improved enormously compared to years ago! The owner/manager himself is always willing to work with the staff and chat with guests!

Although I'm not a fan of small bites, this restaurant is highly recommended, especially for its atmosphere, service, and of course, the food. With a very wide selection of vegetarian, meat, and fish options, there was plenty of choice for everyone.

Once and never again.... After a long time, we thought, "Come on, let's go back to La Cubanita." But we quickly regretted it. Half of the dishes we ordered didn't arrive, and when we asked for them, they reacted very grumpily and rudely. I understand it's busy, but maybe they're taking fewer tables. When we mentioned it later to the other waitress, we were helped well, and she immediately pointed out that some of her colleagues are a bit bipolar. That's clear at least. We had a good laugh about it.

I went out to dinner with my friends at La Cubanita in Heerhugowaard. We had a good meal. It was just a shame that it took so long for our table to be cleared. At one point, when the pile got too high, we asked for it to be cleared, and it was done. However, at 10:30 PM, suddenly the table was being cleared every 10 seconds. We felt like we had to leave. One of the waitresses also said her boss "forced" her to do so. Afterward, they even filmed what we thought was the room and us twice. When we questioned it, she said she was only filming the surroundings. Later, she asked if she should delete the film. It's a real shame the evening ended so inhospitably.

We usually always have a delicious meal here. We were supposed to eat here recently, but before we could order anything, I suddenly became very ill. I decided to go home before ordering anything. It's a real shame that we had to pay the full price for the all-you-can-eat menu. It was a real shame for us to experience this.

Today I ate at La Cubanita for the first time. First impressions are okay, though it's a bit odd that the music is a bit loud compared to other restaurants. I can understand the phone ordering concept, but it does mean you miss out on customer service. Not exactly my preference, as it forces me to be on my phone. Which is exactly what I don't want when dining out. On the other hand, I expected the staff to be friendly and enthusiastic, but they certainly weren't. Several people were walking around with even more sour expressions than the food itself... no charisma, no enthusiasm. They seemed completely unwilling to be working. The food itself sometimes arrived after 5 minutes, sometimes after 40 minutes, and everything was mixed up. There's no logic to it. Sometimes there's a sauce with a dish that makes you wonder, "Why?" We were supposed to eat until 7:30, but the last round of food didn't arrive until 7:50 PM, just as we were about to pay. We had ordered this round well in advance of the closing time. All in all, for me a first and definitely the last time here.

Absolutely the last time we visited La Cubanita...we had a reservation...were directed to "that table over there"...and there we sat...waiting...waiting...no one looked at us...couldn't order anything, the app was still locked...after a really long time, about 10 minutes, a young lady came to ask if we wanted a drink and then the app was opened. Tapas arrived dribs and drabs. One after a while, another one...a few didn't arrive...the staff put the snacks on the table with serious looks...not very pleasant. The clearing wasn't done well either...So, no for us...this was the second bad experience at this La Cubanita, we won't be going back...it's a real shame, it can be so much fun and delicious.

Met een grote groep, groepsarrangement konden ze niet aan. Hele avond weinig drinken gehad. Zit bij de prijs in maar hadden over de hele avond heel weinig drinken rondgebracht. Vaak vergeten. Chaotisch. Werd niets uitgelegd. Kwamen er later achter dat alles gedeeld moest worden. Geen groente/salades of iets dergelijks erbij. Was een grote tegenvaller en geen aanrader. Doe er dan wat schalen met rauwkost erbij of zo.

The quality of the food is mediocre. The tapas can be ordered via the menu that is accessible via the telephone. Scan the QR code and order. We were with a group of 9 and only two telephones could be used for ordering. It took a very long time before the tapas were served. One person had his tapas and the rest followed later. Slow service, used dishes remained standing. Actually everything took an awfully long time.
