Not recommended. The food was very poor quality and poorly prepared; often lukewarm, clearly reheated (the meat was often dry), and barely seasoned, making it literally bland. We had to wait a very long time to order drinks, and then it took forever for the food to arrive. It's a shame, because the atmosphere, decor, and menu have potential, provided they are properly prepared. If this doesn't improve, I'd recommend making a reservation elsewhere.

We went here for dinner with a few friends in September. Upon arrival, we were looked at as if we'd just landed on Mars, which was rather awkward. Things went awry around us. The service seemed inexperienced, as if it was half our group's first day on the job. Glasses of wine were "spilled" over people at the table. Trays of food were dropped on the floor, etc. It happens, of course, but it all depends on how the service responds and acts accordingly. If you're a customer covered in red wine and then told, "There's a sink by the restrooms, you can freshen up there," then there's a real lack of empathy. The food was otherwise excellent. We also had a good laugh at everything happening around us, considering it wasn't at our table. It all felt very unprofessional. This is definitely a reason for us to find a different place to eat next time!

The food and variety were good, though the menu could use a few more ice cream desserts. The service was friendly and helpful, and we didn't have to wait long for our dishes, even though it was very busy.

Normally, I'm incredibly enthusiastic about La Cubanita, and thankfully, that was confirmed again this time! My girlfriend and I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. It turned out to be a busy evening, but that didn't stop the service, with a delicious variety of tapas and cocktails to look forward to every round. I mentioned in a previous review that there were definitely things that could have been improved. That's precisely why I'm happy to see that this time it's much more in line with what I'm used to from La Cubanita. The food arrived quickly, the dishes were delicious, and we truly enjoyed ourselves. My favorite remains the chicken with honey. The manager of the evening came by every now and then to ask if everything was to our liking. And I can tell you, all in all, the La Cubanita experience was what I'm usually so enthusiastic about. We will definitely be back, and I'm already looking forward to the next time!

The food was delicious, but the service was terrible. They constantly bumped into our chairs, resulting in a colleague getting her food spilled on her. They kept apologizing without doing anything. It also took ages for the food to arrive, and you couldn't order drinks. I think we only managed to order drinks twice that evening. They dropped bowls, and they weren't cleared away. And while everything was on the floor, the staff just stepped on it. It wasn't very clean. Extremely poor service. Nothing was cleared away either; I think all the bowls and dishes from every round were still on the table. I don't give them a star, and I wouldn't recommend them.

We unfortunately had a very bad experience at this location. The food wasn't hot or overcooked. It didn't taste like other locations, and everything took a very long time. The cocktail also had no flavor at all, which was a real shame. That's not what we're used to from lacabunita.

We went to La Cubanite in Amersfoort today because there was no room in Bussum. It was quite disappointing, although the location is nice. The service was poor. We had the full menu, but you had to order drinks directly from the waiter. It took quite a while for the food and drinks to arrive for the first round. They also put tapas on the table that we hadn't ordered. Many tapas were lukewarm, and the cold tapas were cold. When we wanted a second drink, we had to wait over half an hour for three colas. We asked three times where our drinks were, but nothing... We finally ordered through the app, and they did arrive... The waiters clearly couldn't handle it. We had to wait ages for our food each time, and when something did arrive, it was just slammed on the table. We won't be going there again. They do things ten times better in Bussum.

Highly recommended! I'm not a fan of the tapas concept myself, but La Cubunita has something for everyone. The menu features 54 dishes, from which you can order two appetizers per round. These include meat, fish, vegetarian, and cold options. Portions vary in size, and you're not just served small bites. There's also an unlimited number of rounds, and desserts are unlimited as well. The terrace in Amersfoort is spacious, and the service is fast and friendly. Ordering is done via a QR code, but they also have the old-fashioned cards for those without phones.

When we expressed our disappointment at the checkout, they told us we "should have complained while we were eating" and that it was actually our fault. This felt not only unprofessional but also downright unfriendly to the customer. As if that wasn't enough, we both developed severe stomach problems the next day. All in all, a disappointing visit: bad food, bad cocktails, bad service, and even physical complaints afterward. We won't be back and would definitely not recommend it to others. Not what we've come to expect from La Cabunita...but hey, we should have read the reviews...

We had a bite to eat last night and what a disappointment! The quality of the food and the presentation were truly poor. The food was dripping in oil, many dishes were dry or tough, and much looked microwave-safe. So we returned a few dishes. The cocktails were also worse than they used to be. Lots of artificial lemonade and B-grade alcohol. We sent one mojito back. We noticed yesterday that the staff works so hard to serve everything, but there's no attention to the customers or the surroundings. Empty containers remain on the tables for a long time, and there was a lot of trash on the floor that people just stepped over. Not once was we asked if we enjoyed our meal or why we were sending back a full container. We were very surprised by the manager's reaction when we expressed our disappointment. She asked if we could have made this clearer to the staff next time, as she wasn't aware of this and couldn't offer anything. They could have served the dishes again, but in our opinion, that wouldn't have affected the quality, etc. No "how annoying" or apologies. She was even a bit irritated. The fact that we're both now in bed with stomach cramps speaks volumes. Reading the other reviews, we're definitely not the only ones who have experienced this. Fix the problem in the kitchen, or you'll lose your customers!

We've been to your place many times, but unfortunately, the last few times have been really bad. This time we went at 5:30 PM specifically, "hopefully you won't have to wait so long for the first courses," my partner said. Well, we went at 5:30 PM on Saturday evening. That made a difference, within 10 minutes we had a drink, cocktail, and bread! But then the dishes arrived. My partner is still waiting for the first round; the shrimp in garlic oil had been waiting so long for the pass that they were dried out and black. The fish was ice cold, almost everything was tasteless, and the food wasn't cooked with any taste or love at all (except for the Cuban fish stew). Then we ordered desserts, and after dessert, two hot dishes from previous rounds arrived. In short, chaos in the kitchen, chaos before (despite an extremely loving manager who was clearly at her wits' end and completely overruled by the chef). No, really, unfortunately, this was the last time we spent that much money here. This place seriously needs a major kitchen overhaul. And oh, "I hope you enjoyed it despite all the setbacks, here's a Baileys because it's our birthday." Sorry, we didn't enjoy it at all.

We had to wait over 30 minutes for our first round of food. When it finally arrived, the steaks were raw and tasteless, while other dishes were cold. Unfortunately, the second round brought no improvement. We therefore decided to end our dinner early and leave.

We received raw food, including steak, smash burger, and chicken. We had to wait 45 minutes for one dish from the first round. Unfortunately, we could only have two rounds because everything was cold and raw. I politely asked for the bill, and they asked if everything was to my liking. I explained that it wasn't to my liking and that I received raw food, but they didn't do anything about it. We still had to pay €80 even though we couldn't actually eat anything. Such a shame.

Quality and menu less than before

We come here often. I had the all-inclusive concept for €36.50. I wouldn't recommend it. You can't order your own drinks in the app. We waited over half an hour for a final tea and coffee. I paid, but it didn't arrive and we left. It also takes three hours to serve four rounds. The table is cleared when you ask. I left exhausted. It's a shame. We did have a lovely time on the terrace, though.

Beautiful location, reasonably spacious interior, very friendly staff. Most of the tapas are tasty, such as "from la Cubanita." A few tapas were overcooked or fried, not grilled as described on the menu. However, I find the package deal inexpensive, so the price-quality ratio is excellent.

Never disappointed with the food's taste. But every time I come here, I run into the same problem. I ordered, waited over an hour, and then realized it hadn't arrived correctly, after which we had to wait another half hour for two rounds. We ate three rounds, weren't full at all, and were overcharged. Such a shame.

It seemed quite chaotic, possibly due to a staff shortage. It was also uncomfortably warm inside, while it was chilly outside – there was a clear lack of proper ventilation. Ordering drinks also proved difficult; we had to wait a long time for them. It's a shame, because the food itself was excellent. Hopefully, something will be done about it, because the food is definitely not bad.

Mwaaa very disappointing. As we speak eating here. "Fried chicken pieces with honey mustard sauce" turns out to be a fancy word for chicken nuggets with glue. Service that does not tell what they bring to the table. Long wait for your food. And the worst of it, you book all in so with drinks but you can not order your drinks in addition to your food via the app (except for the ones you have to pay for). No, you have to ask the staff for the drinks, whom you hardly see anymore ... Imagine if you would get more san2 drinks. . then don't offer it

Had dinner with my grandma at La Cubanita in Amersfoort. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great! My grandma had her birthday and the entire restaurant sang for her. It was super busy and yet the service was fast and very friendly. We had the menu with the drinks and this was great. We will definitely come back again!

It was a chaotic evening while it wasn't very busy. Grumpy staff who throws the dishes on the table.. rounds of which dishes were not brought and after asking several times always the same answer "it's coming" The food that was brought was fine but unfortunately not worth repeating!!!

After our favorite La Cubanita's branch in Zeist had to close, we went here to eat. We had a delicious meal and the staff was very friendly. It was very busy that day and therefore quite noisy, which did not benefit the atmosphere. Furthermore, the building was nicely set up but did not give that Cuban feeling that the Zeist branch gave us. Nevertheless, we will come here to eat again!

Unfortunately, our experience at La Cubanita was disappointing. We had to wait almost 50 minutes before we could even order anything, and it took another 50 minutes for the drinks to arrive. The bread even took up to an hour. Due to an allergy, I had to order in an alternative way: by writing the numbers of the dishes I wanted on a piece of paper. The waitress indicated that she would come by every 10-15 minutes to pick them up, since the rest of the party ordered via the regular online system. Unfortunately, my second piece of paper was left for over an hour, without any follow-up. Although we understand that it can be busy, the waiting times were excessive and it felt like there was little attention to our situation. We hope that in the future, more attention will be paid to the organization and service - especially for guests with allergies or dietary requirements.

Delicious food. Got a nice price due to an Albert Heijn offer at the beginning of the year. It took a while before you received your dishes and I never saw some of the dishes I ordered. Still, the food was delicious and the terrace was great. It was stuffy inside.

Tapas for a nice price and often nice deals including drinks. They are not culinary delights, but for the price you still have a nice evening with good food!

I dont recommend, the potential of this little place was wasted, we waited 1.5 hours for the first drinks that we ordered right after taking a table! The food from the first round was already coming, then some of the tapas were delivered and we were still waiting for the drinks, in the previous rounds there were no orders and new ones were already delivered, the warm tapas were already cold, the waitresses were able to walk around with one tapas but none of them cleaned the neighboring tables when they came back, finally there were 7 dirty stools that the waitresses were constantly passing by, lack of thought and what a business card on the terrace! I even waited another 40 minutes for a beer. The service only apologizes but nothing changes. The food is ok but the thoughtlessness of the service ruins this place. I will not come back and I do not recommend

Very nice staff, super tasty food.

My daughter had chosen this restaurant herself to eat for her birthday. When making the reservation I indicated that there was a birthday boy and also at the checkout upon arrival. It was promised to serve dessert with fireworks. They still managed to serve the desserts without fireworks! See photos: so you order dessert which looks deliciously creamy, brownie is there... and then you are served a hard block of Schocola! Paid 140 euros for this blunder. NEVER AGAIN!

If you are with friends and want to feast on mexican-local cuisine that's the place to go ! All inclusive to the brim menu. You can order as many drink as you want, as many tapas has you want while you respect the two tapas per 10min rule. And that I did I was overfull leaving the place :) 4 star is only because service wasn't always there for the drink and forgot to bring some. And not zll tapas are tasty, most are thought.

You get what you expect. Not high quality, but fine

The ladies serving were nice and attentive. You could see that they were doing their best, but things were probably not going well in the kitchen. We had to wait a very long time for some snacks, they forgot the spare ribs and after 1.5 hours 3 portions suddenly arrived. The mussels and shrimp croquettes were inedible. The spicy steak tips were not spicy. The chicken wings and pork tenderloin were tasty. The atmosphere, luckily we had a table by the window and not in the middle of the room. It is quite noisy, little/no acoustic materials used. The two of us had a nice time, but next time we will look for a different restaurant.

We had dinner here with a group of colleagues (approximately 11 people) and ordered the All You Can Eat principle. One of the rules of the game is that you have 2.5 hours to eat and drink there. Only after 50 minutes did the first “course” arrive and that was just a few bread baskets with spreads. Not a problem at all because a large group on a busy evening is of course challenging. The common thread was that everything took a long time and the service was anything but nice. Probably understaffed, but you could see & feel that almost everyone hoped that the evening would end as quickly as possible. 🤨 Because everything took a long time before we were fully eaten and then wanted to order coffee and tea, we received the answer "your time is up". By God's grace we were allowed to stay seated, but then we had to pay extra for coffee and tea!! Absolutely not customer friendly and therefore not recommended!

It was on a Wednesday that we came to dinner with my grandmother, myself and my daughter. Had a wonderful evening after a day of shopping in Amersfoort! I understand that if you go on the weekend you have to wait longer and may sometimes be unlucky for sold out products. We had a great Wednesday evening!

This is an all-you-can-eat place, for 25€ per person. The tapas choices are very tasty, although most of them are pretty heavy for your stomach, and not very healthy. The staff is tirelessly serving and preparing everything. The lighting of the place is a bit mid, but the decor is nice

Arrived at 7 p.m., immediately drank and offered a sandwich. Had to ask twice for sandwich and drink came at 7.40 pm, sandwich at 7.10 pm. Shame. Food ordered at 7.10 pm, first round came at 7.45 pm, more than 40 minutes later and... for 1 person, the other 3 waited another 10 minutes. Food cold, when I spoke to the lady I was told that this was absolutely not possible because it had just come out of the chip shop????? Still took it back and yes…..40 minutes later I received the new one which was of course lukewarm. By the way, a nice sarcastic waitress who then indicates: here is your hot dish. Pfff what a disaster. Never again for me and my company!

Wait at least half an hour for your first dishes. The employees just do whatever. Order a mojito with a slice of lemon on it and if you say something about it in a polite manner, you will be told in a very businesslike and not friendly way that it is about the text under the image and that it contains lemon juice. After hearing many stories, I made a reservation. For me it was the 1st time at Cubanita. We came in, had made a reservation for 2 people. Asked if we could get rafel for 4, didn't work, too busy, it was Saturday, so logical. (While within half an hour several tables of 4 people remained free. But okay.) If that was the only thing, we still had a nice/fun evening. When we asked what we wanted to drink, we were told to order every 10 minutes, but Daan kept going. And that's where things went completely wrong! Nothing goes well...... The drinking took a long time before that came. But we started with 4 cold dishes. We had to wait 34 minutes for it!! And then only the 1st dish came. After 10 minutes a second cold dish arrived (we ordered twice, only 1 came), shortly afterwards the 2nd came. And did not receive the 4th cold dish. While it had already been completed in the app. I was completely done with it. Sitting for 45 minutes and only eating a little bread and 3 chestnut mushrooms. I was completely done with it! Said to my girlfriend, I'm leaving. Don't feel like it anymore. Finished our drinks and walked to the bar to announce that I was done. That it took a very long time before anything came. She was able to offer us that we only had to pay for the drinks. (Should have also added that we had to pay for the bread and the 3 dishes 😂) My friend also told me about the empty tables and gave a tip to say that there is no 4-person table at the moment, but there will be in about half an hour. And the lady admitted that she should have done this. Finally received an apology. But I was so done with it that it didn't reach me. Conclusion; I won't go to la cubanita again!

I have been coming to this LC branch for many years, every few months. Lately I think the quality of the food has really deteriorated. For example, steak tips are cooked so far that it is almost impossible to remove, squid rings are extremely tough (so they are also cooked for too long) and so on. I also think the taste has diminished and sometimes you have to wait a long time for your dish. It's a real shame, because I really like the concept. The service is still friendly, but yes, you come primarily for the food.

A little apprehensive after reading some bad reviews here. But it was delicious. Dishes were tasty. Service very attentive and friendly. And we didn't have to wait long. Ordering is done via a QR code, via your own mobile phone. There is also a physical card. Had a nice evening with colleagues.

The food was fine, as well as the service. It could have been a lot spicier in my opinion. Dishes that were supposed to be spicy were anything but. You create an atmosphere with the dining group and there was plenty of room for that.

Unfortunately not a good experience with Cubanita! We hadn't been there for a while, so we'll try it in Amersfoort this time. It was nowhere near the level of what we were used to! Cold tapas were fine in themselves, but then the hot tapas arrived after at least half an hour of waiting for each course…. Unfortunately, these were usually lukewarm/cold so quite dry! because the staff wants to take too many plates at once. The portions have also become noticeably smaller. For the price you pay you would be better off eating better somewhere else! For now it was the last time for us, very unfortunate!

The food is disappointingly mediocre for the still high price. Poorly fried squid rings, hard avocados, sauces that don't match dishes and generally quite mediocre food. I also ordered a cocktail that was supposed to contain sparkling water but only seemed to contain normal water. Furthermore, the receipts for several orders have disappeared, so the drink did appear on the bill, but after an hour we had to ask whether it was still coming. All in all a bit disappointed with a nice concept.
